        For a linkage type concentrating collector which tracks the sun from the east to the west, performances are simulated. Using the simulation programs, the problems of the choice of an optimal height of the tower and an optimal heliostat arrays are cliscussed. The obtainable maximum energy from the heliostat field of the size of 100×100 is calculated as a function of solar time and season. The result shows that this type of collector has better efficiency in winter than in summer. We also developed a heliostat which is composed of 4 plane mirrors, and analyzed the sun image formed by the heliostat. The predictive equations agree well with the experiments performed over a range of angles of incidence up to 20。 and over a slant range between 0.5f∼1.5f(f is the forcal length of the heliostat)

      • 외국의 호스피스·완화의료 현황에 관한 연구

        This research was performed to have a general understanding of hospice and palliative care through the cancer management status of the United States, Great Britain, Japan and Australia. Data was collected from The internet home pages and literatures about hospice and palliative care of the cancer patients in the four countries or from an interview with the organizations concerned. In case of United States, about mean duration of hospitalization (MDH) were increased in hospice care about 52.48 days in Medicare certified 2005 than before, and the cost efficiency of hospice care (131$/day, 2005) was higher than the hospital (4,787$/day, 2005) and nursing home (521$/day, 2005). In England, about half people accommodated in hospice facilities stayed for 13 days on an average, and especially the cost was totally free differently with the others. In Japan, MDH was about 43 days in 2006 , and good quality of nursing care was provided in respects of the nursing ratio of 1 5 nurses per patient, and in some respects of the bedding numbers of one person per bed for patient’s privacy. In Australia, the supporting system for the first medicare provider, 1800 calling service, and for the care givers and volunteers has been being operated well with detailed instruction. The features of the cancer management system in the four countries were as follows. England government gives financial aid, America has various medical system and policies for hospice, Japan has more efficient hospice care and charge systemG , and Australia carries out 1800 calling service by medical professionals and care giver. Conclusively, for the quality of hospice and palliative care system in Korea from now on, the appropriate political support and charge system should be prepared considering overseas examples mentioned above.

        광촉매를 이용한 Humic Acid 광분해시 공존물질이 광분해에 미치는 영향

        This study aimed at improving the TiO₂ photocatalytic degradation of HA. A set of tests was first conducted in the dark to study the adsorption of HA at different coexisting material concentration. Adsorption rate increased with adding cation ion but decreased with adding bicarbonate ion. The photodegradation of HA in the presence of UV irradiation was investigated as a function of different experimental condition : initial concentration of HA, TiO₂ weight, pH, air flow rate and coexisting material. It was increased either at low pH or by adding cation ion. The increase of cation strength in aqueous solution could provide a favorable condition for adsorption of HA on the TiO₂ surface and therefore enhance the photodegradation rate. It was found that bicarbonate ions slowed down the degradation rate by scavening the hydroxyl radicals.

        To investigate the effects of short-term weight reduction and subsequent rehydration on performance of the judo players, eight college-age judo players performed cybex and 3 wingate tests, seperated by 45min or 1 hr, before and after weight reduction(5%). Muscle strength, anaerobic power, anaerobic capacity, blood lactate, and blood pH level were measured. The results were as follows: 1. There were no differences in muscle strength and total work capacity, measured by cybex, between pre and post weight reduction. 2. There were no differences in peak power and anaerobic capacity, measured by wingate test, between pre and post weight reduction. It was concluded that 5% weight reduction followed by 4 hours of food consumption did not decreased the physical capacity measured by multiple wingate tests.

      • 터널과 도로 및 교량에 대한 VE/LCC 분석에 관한 연구

        It is actual state in our country that the number of tunnels on the road increases consistently but there is no study or computer program on life cycle cost Ihereinafter "LCC") of tunnel. This research is for the purpose of calculating the LCC for tunnel on the road and applying it to the systematic maintenance & management and analysis of economical efficiency. Further the developed computer program calculating the LCC for tunnel on the road increases the efficiency in tunnel design and in decision of investment considering the maintenance & management and the economical efficiency and it will be a useful tool with relation to VE/LCC technique. VE analysis is constituted of performance represented by P. life cycle cost represented by C and value represented by V. P is calculated under considering weight and degree of estimation which explain the importance of each facilities to the estimation item. C is determined from getting sum of the present prices of initial construction cost, maintenance & management cost during service life, break-up & disposal cost. V is obtained from dividing the P by C, that is V=P/C. The estimation list of the maintenance & management on tunnel has been set up as items whose maintenance & management cost was appeared to be relatively larger than the others and there were decision of the variables of effect such as frequency of maintenance & repair, unit cost, repairing rate, etc.. And also, all the cost were converted into present prices considering the economic variables for example discount rate, etc. Excel base LCC analysis system of tunnel on road was developed and tested on a sample tunnel.

        가속실험을 이용한 상업적 멸균처리 한식 탕반류의 유통기한 평가

        The objective of this research was to estimate the shelf-life of 4 kinds of Korean soup (Yukkaejang, Sagol-woogeojitang, Kalbitang, and Seolleongtang), under an accelerated experiment, based on the changes in the selected physico-cliemical, microbiological and sensory characteristics. The 4 kinds of Korean soup (Yukkaejang, Sagol-woogeojitang, Kalbitang and Seolleongtang) were treated at 121℃: for 30 min. and the shelf life was evaluatcdthrough accelerated experiment, based on the changes in the physico-chemical, microbiological and sensory characteristics. No viable cells were detected in any of the treatments and no significant differences were shown in pH, T13A and Hunter's color values for 3 weeks at 37℃. The periods found to he acceptable by sensory evaluation were 7 days for Yukkaejang and Kalbitang, 14 days for Sagol-woogeojitang, and 21 days for Seolleongtang. For an assumed Q_(10) value of 2.5, shelf-life was predicted as 109 days for Yukkaejang and Kalbitang, 219 days for Sagol-woogeojirang, and 328 days for Seolleongtang at 5℃, suggesting that these 4 hinds of Korean soup are suitable for commercial distribution.

      • W-3계 고도 불포화지방산의 혼합비율이 다른 유지가 지질대사에 미치는 영향

        혈청 콜레스테롤 및 중성지방의 농도와 밀접항 관계가 있으며 혈청 lipprotein의 대사에 영향을 미치는 w-3계의 지방산의 적정한 섭취 비율을 구명하기 위한 일환으로써 들깨기름과 라아드의 혼합비율을 달리하여 흰쥐에게 급이한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 혈청 총-콜레스테롤 농도는 들깨기름 7.5%+라아드2.5%를 급이한 2군에서 유의성있게 낮은 반면 10%라아드 급이군은 현저히 높았다. 2. 혈청 HDL-콜레스테롤은 3군과 4둔이 1군, 2군에 비해 낮았으며, 혈청 총-콜레스테롤에 대한 HDL-콜레스테롤 비율은 2,3,4군이 5군에 비해 높았다. 3. 혈청 중 인지질과 중성지방 농도는 5군에 비해 2,3군에서 현저하게 낮았다. 4. 간장 중 총-콜래스테롤 농도는 4군이 1,2,3군에 비해 비교적 낮았다. 5. 간장 중 인지질 농도는 각 군간에 유의적인 차이는 없었으나 중성지방의 농도는 5군보다 1,2군에서 유의성 있게 낮았다. 6. 시험유지의 지방산조성은 1군에서 lionenic acid가 dir 58%이었으며, 5군에서는 w-3계 PUFA가 0.1%, oleic acid가 47.5%이었다. 7. 혈청 lipoprotein pattern은 2군에서 HDL함량이 가장 많은 반면 LDL함량은 가장 적은 경향이었다. In order to investigate the suitable composition of the w-3 series polyunsaturated fatty acid on lipoprotein metabolism related with cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations in serum, it was examined the effects of w-3 PUFA contents of mixed fat on oil lipid metabolism in serum and liver of rats. The results were summerized as follow ; 1. The concentration of T-cholesterol in serum of rats was lowest in the group 2 (7.5% perilla oil + 2.5% lard). whereas it was highest in group 5 (10% lard). 2. The concentration of HDL-cholesterol in serum was lower in group 3, 4 than in group 1, 2 and the ratio of HDL-cholesterol to T-cholesterol were higher in group 2, 3, 4 than in group 5. 3. The concentrations of phospholipid and trigyceride in serum were significantly lower in group 2, 3 than in group 5. 4. The concentration of T-cholesterol in the liver was relatively lower in group 4 than in group 1, 2, 3. 5. Phospholipid values in the liver were not significantly different between groups, but the concentrations of triglyceride were remarkably lower in group 1, 2 than those of the group 5. 6. Linolenic acid in group 1 (10% perilla oil), in the fatty acid composition of test lipids used in the experiment. was as much as about 58%, but w-3 PUFA in group 5 was only 0.1% and oleic acid was as much as about 58%, but w-3 PUFA in group 5 was only 0.1% and oleic acid was as much as 47.5%. 7. HDL contents, in lipoprotein composition of serum were the most in group 2 (7.5% perilla oil+2.5% lard), while LDL contents were the least.
