Background p19arf, primarily known as a tumor suppressor, has also been reported to play an essential role in normal development of mouse eyes. Consistently, lack of p19arf has been associated with ocular defects, but the mixed background of the knockout (KO) mouse strain used raised a concern on the accuracy of the phenotypes observed in association with the targeted gene due to genetic heterogeneity. Object We carried out a study to investigate into the efect of genetic background on the manifestation of p19arf KO associated phenotypes. Methods We characterized the phenotypes of novel p19arf KO mouse lines generated in FVB/N and C57BL/6J using a transcription activator-like efector nuclease (TALEN) system in comparison to the reported phenotypes of three other p19arf-defcient mouse lines generated using homologous recombination. Results Ninety-fve percent of FVB/N-p19arf KO mice showed ocular opacity from week 4 after birth which worsened rapidly until week 6, while such abnormality was absent in C57BL/6J-p19arf KO mice up to the age of 26 weeks. Histopathological analysis revealed retrolental masses and dysplasia in the retinal layer in FVB/N-p19arf KO mice from week 4. Besides these, both strains developed normally from birth to week 26 without increased tumorigenesis except for a subcutaneous tumor found in a C57BL/6J-p19arf KO mouse. Conclusion Our fndings demonstrated surprisingly variable manifestation of p19arf-linked phenotypes between FVB/N and C57BL/6J mice, and furthermore between our mouse lines and the established lines, indicating a critical impact of genetic background on functional study of genes using gene targeting strategies in mice.

This study considered the characteristics of Gian Lorenzo Bernini's inclusive architecture by means of the iconological interpretation of the relationship between his architecture and sculpture. There have been many studies of Bernini's sculpture and architecture apart, and it is the fact that especially studies of his architecture have remained at stylistic one. However it is not so much difficult to find the ensemble made by symbolic relationship between architecture and sculpture in Bernini's works. Therefore this study introduced Erwin Panofsky's Iconology methodologically to analyze his architectural works and to show that they could be interpreted from sculpture added to architecture. According to iconological analyses about Bernini's Sant' Andre al Quirinale and Scala Regia, followings were investigated. Firstly, The sculptures added to each architectural space are not simple baroque decorations but project symbolic meanings such as the religious symbolism, the historicity of site, and the needs of the time. Secondly, each architecture and sculpture organize spatial characteristics in harmony by means of the projected symbolic meaning. Thirdly, the motive which make him add many sculptures to architectural space are neo-platonism, city planning of Baroque, and political reasons which reinforce the papacy.
대학무용수의 사회적 지지와 스트레스 대처 방식에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study was to diagnose the relation among the type of dance major, social backup and stress coping behavior. To achieve the purpose, 232 dance majors from 5 universities in Seoul and metropolitan area were random-sampled. To rate social backup, Interpersonal Relations Perception Questionnaire used by Cohen and Hoberman in 1983 was used. To rate coping behavior on stress, The Ways of Coping Checkiist developed by Folkman and Lazarus in 1985 and translated and standardized by Kim, Jung-hee and Lee, Jang-ho in 1985 was used. For data process, One-way Analysis of Variance and Multiple Regression Model was used. Through these research tool and process, the result as follows were achieved. First, there were partial difference in social backup and stress coping behavior according to demographic variabies. Referring to social backup, the group with higher standard of knowledge generally showed more positive perception of social backup and the group with higher income discerned higher feelings of belonging. Referring to the religion, feeling of belonging to Christianity or Buddhism were higher than that of Catholic or pagan On the matter of stress coping behaviour, the higher grade the group was, the more stress coping behavior were shown and, in many cases, it was problem oriented coping behavior. This tendency is similar according to the amount of income. According to the type of religion, in many cases, probiem-oriented coping behavior and social backup seeking behavior were shown. Second, the more positively the dancer recognize of the dance major activity and the more highly recognize social backup, the more various types of stress coping behavior occurred except for coping behavior with wishful thinking.

Electronic certification and electronic signature issues are a vital concern for developing electronic commerce, and a number of initiatives are underway in both the public and private sectors to ensure that businesses and consumers can engage in secure and reliable electronic communications and transactions in the global networked society. In recent years OECD Member countries have undertaken to develop and iMplement may create obstacles to the evolution of national and global information and communications networks and hinder the development of electronic commerce. Both governments and the private sector have recognized the need for international collaboration to develop and efficient and secure information infrastructure. This paper in this area has focused on electronic authentication and signature issues in order to protect consumers. The paper concludes that electronic authentication and signature consensus about specific policy and regulatory issues related to information and communications networks and technologies, including electronic authentication and electronic signature.
SVD 알고리즘 및 HMM을 이용한 얼굴 및 눈 패턴 검출

The studies about automatic pattern detection of the eye and face from the human image acquired by the CCD image sensor have good applicabilities in the industry, home automation, and data communication field. In general, pattern detection method consists of feature based matching and template matching. In feature based matching, the feature vector is extracted with DLM(dynamic linking matching), EBGM(elastic bunch graph matching), HMM(hidden markov model) matching and knowledge based matching using statistical characteristics. In template matching, in general, the template vector is extracted with PCA(principal component analysis). When these method applied in the face and eye detection, each method has its own merits and some disadvantage. Therefore, by combined utilization of SVD(singular value decomposition) and HMM algorithm, is expected that we can selectively make use of each methods advantage and it result in improved detection accuracy. In this paper, we proposed the method for face and eye detection, which was combined by the two algorithms, to be suitable for the high speed image processing using DSP chip or microprocessor. In the beginning, template matching was followed by a template extraction using batch SVD algorithm and then face pattern was classified and recognized by HMM algorithm which is one of feature based matching technique. Finally, eye pattern detection was performed by pattern search neural network utilizing eigeneye image.

To invesitigate the immunoadjuvant effect of Taesanbanseok-san(TBS), TBS was pretreated to Ballb/c mice for 10 days with intraperitioneally. After 10 days, haptenic antigen (VCR-BSA, vincristine-bovine serum albumin) complexed with Freund's complete adjuvant was immunized. The results are as follows. The antibody production in Balb/c mouse immunized with VCR-BSA was markably increased in the pretreated group of TBS compared with saline treated(control) group. The number of macrophage in Balb/c mouse immunized with VCR-BSA was considerably increased about 2.3 times in the pretreated group of TBS compared with control group. The lysozyme activity of macrophage in Balb/c mouse that was immunized with VCR-BSA was increased gradually in the pretreated groups of TBS compared with control group. In the TBS pretreated group, B cell proliferation was increased with a dose dependent manner. At the concentration of twenty microliter/well of TBS, B cell proliferation activity was most highest. On the other hand, in the T proliferation, TBS pretreated group had less considerable activity than B cell proliferation. These results may suggest that TBS will have immunoadjuvant effects on the cells which concerned with immuno mechanism.
