Purpose: This study examines the relationship between omega-3 fatty acid intake and blood lipid levels among rural older adults in Korea. Methods: Using data from the 2022 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey, we conducted a cross-sectional analysis of 269 older adults aged 65 and above from rural areas. We analyzed variables such as omega-3 fatty acid intake, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglycerides, adjusting for age, sex, BMI, and lifestyle factors. Results: Omega-3 fatty acid intake significantly reduces triglycerides and LDL cholesterol levelsbut does not affect HDL cholesterol. The low omega-3 intake observed among these rural older adults may contribute to poorer cardiovascular health, highlighting the need for dietary interventions. Conclusion: To enhance cardiovascular health in rural areas, customized nutritional interventions and public health policies are essential. Community programs promoting omega-3 intake can help bridge the health gap between rural and urban older adults and support healthy aging in rural populations.

ADN은 친환경 추진제로 유럽을 중심으로 연구 · 개발되고 있으며, 고체 산화제나 액체 단일추진제로 모두 사용이 가능하다. ADN 단일추진제의 비추력은 259 sec로 하이드라진 이상의 성능을 보여주며, 촉매 분해 온도 또한 450 K로 우수하다. 본 연구에서는 친환경 추진제인 ADN의 생산성을 높이기 위해 전구물질인 KDN 합성 조건을 최적화 하고, UV-Vis, TGA 분석을 통해 수율을 측정하였다. 고 농도 질산(99%) 조건에서 KDN의 수율이 43.8%로 가장 높았으며, 질산의 농도가 진할수록 나이트로화 반응이 빠르기 때문이다. To center of Europe ADN is researched and developed as a green propellant, and ADN also used solid oxidizer and liquid monopropellant. ADN monopropellant’s specific impulse is 259 sec which is greater than hydrazine and catalytic decomposition temperature is 450 K. In this research, for improving of ADN productivity we optimized KDN synthesis condition which is used a precursor to ADN and, analyzed KDN yield using UV-Vis and TGA. The synthesis yield of KDN recorded the highest at 43.8% in 99% nitric acid condition. As the more nitric acid is condensed the more nitration rate is accelerated.

Background: Although excessive physical activity (PA) does not always confer additional health benefits, there is a paucity of studies that have quantitatively examined the doseresponse relationship between PA and type 2 diabetes. Therefore, this study investigated the relationship between the type 2 diabetes prevalence and intensity, frequency, and metabolic equivalent of task (MET) score of PA in a large population sample. Methods: We conducted a nationwide cross-sectional analysis examining sociodemographic variables, PA habits, and type 2 diabetes prevalence in 2,428,448 participants included in the Korea Community Health Survey. The non-linear association between MET score and odds ratios (ORs) for type 2 diabetes prevalence was plotted using a weighted generalized additive model. Categorical analysis was used to examine the joint association of moderate-intensity PA (MPA) and vigorous-intensity PA (VPA), and the influence of PA frequency. Results: MET score and diabetes prevalence revealed a non-linear association with the nadir at 1,028 MET-min/week, beyond which ORs increased with additional PA. Joint analysis of MPA and VPA showed the lowest OR of 0.79 (95% confidence interval, 0.75–0.84) for those engaging in 300–600 MET-min/week of MPA and > 600 MET-min/week of VPA concurrently, corresponding with World Health Organization recommendations. Additionally, both “weekend warriors” and “regularly active” individuals showed lower ORs compared to the inactive, although no significant difference was noted between the active groups. Conclusion: In a large South Korean sample, higher PA is not always associated with a lower prevalence of type 2 diabetes, as the association follows a non-linear pattern; differences existed across sociodemographic variables. Considering the joint association, an adequate combination of MPA and VPA is recommended. The frequency of PA does not significantly influence the type 2 diabetes prevalence.

When the vehicle and decelerate moments due to inertia occur and the vehicle's driving performance may change in an undesired direction. Therefore, for smooth driving, support must be provided so that posture of the vehicle body does not change significantly. In this paper, by applying the experimental planning method to the suspension structure of an EV push rod vehicle, we design a structure that minimize ‘Camber gain’ and ‘Pitch vibration’ the experimental factors was conducted using Minitab and Rapidminer, a data learning-based prediction tool, and the optimal shape was derived.

Wood is a building material with significant environmental and structural benefits. While various countries have developed design standards for connections in high-rise timber buildings using structural glued laminated timber and steel connectors, South Korea has a noticeable gap in research on these connection methods, with no specific regulations in place. This study builds on previous experimental research on Glued-in rod connections, known for their high stiffness and fire resistance, to develop a finite element analysis model. The model was used to analyze factors such as rebar diameter, embedded length, and the angle between the rebar and timber fiber direction. The analysis revealed different pull-out performances and failure modes, and their correlations were examined.

모듈러 건축은 대부분을 공장에서 제작하여 일반 콘크리트 건축물에 비해 공사 기간을 매우 단축할 수 있는 건축시스템이다. 현재 모듈러 시스템을 활용한 고층화 연구가 많이 진행되고 있으며 모듈러를 이루는 부재 및 모듈 간 접합부의 성능 확보가 필요한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 수행되었던 모듈러 실험 연구를 바탕으로 해당 실험체 접합부의 강성 및 강도 평가를 수행하였다. 평가 결과, 모든 실험체가 부분 강접으로 평가되었다. 해당 실험 연구는 모멘트 골조로 설계하여 강접으로 평가될 것을 기대하였으나 모듈러 특성상 기둥의 일체화 확보가 어려워 부분 강접으로 평가된 것으로 판단된다.
스마트팜 환경데이터 기반 파프리카 생육 예측 모델 연구

농업 현장에 적용된 IoT(Internet of Things) 및 통신 시스템 기술은 첨단 농업인 스마트팜으로의 발전을 견인하고 있다. 특히 농업에서 차지하는 비중이 큰 파프리카와 같은 원예작물의 생산성을 향상시키고 생육비용을 줄일 수 있는 데이터 기반의 생육모델 개발 요구가 증가되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 스마트팜 환경 및 생육 데이터를 활용하여 파프리카의 생육 예측모델을 연구하고자 한다. 스마트팜에서 수집된 환경 및 생육데이터를 전처리하고, 데이터 병합을 진행한다. 이러한 전처리 과정 이후 다중선형회귀(Multiple Linear regression)를 통해 엽장과 엽폭을 분석하여 생육 예측 모델을 제시한다. 분석된 결과값을 활용하면 스마트팜 시스템 환경 운영 및 작물 최적 생육에 필요한 온실 환경제어 시스템의 개선을 기대할 수 있다.
