Cyclospora cayetanensis is an agent of emerging infectious disease, and a recognized cause of diarrhea in some patients. Also, the flagellated protozoan, Giardia intestinalis, induces a diarrheal illness of the small intestine. Cases of cyclosporiasis are frequently missed, primarily due to the fact that the parasite can be quite difficult to detect in human fecal samples, despite an increasing amount of data regarding this parasite. On the other hand, G. intestinalis can be readily recognized via the microscopic visualization of its trophozoite or cyst forms in stained preparations or unstained wet mounts. In this report, we describe an uncommon case of co-infection with G. intestinalis and C. cayetanensis in an immunocompetent patient with prolonged diarrhea, living in a non-tropical region of Turkey.

This study focuses on connecting professors and students between sisteruniversities using remote technology. For this study, a readily available method,Skype technology, was used to communicate. In addition, this study used TeamViewer (PC remote control software) and showed a Japanese instructor on the screenat the front of the class. The students in the 'Japanese Communication 1' class, upper-intermediate levelJapanese major class, were to carry out seven different video calls on differentsubjects with counterparts including professors of a sister university in Japan, exchange students living in Japan, and local residents in Japan. Before and aftereach of the video calls, students were taught how to ask and answer in moreappropriate Japanese from the class instructor. By joining this class with the videocall, using Skype, with the sister University in Japan, it was found that it is possibleto import and share the knowledge and experience of domestic classes with a sisteruniversity abroad. In this experiment, four advantages were confirmed. 1) Real-time communication with Japanese learners not only in Japan but alsoin other countries. 2) Close communication with people not only in universities but also people inthe local communities. 3) Communication with staff in sister universities to get information prior to thedeparture of leaving a country for the exchange programs. 4) Getting information on the level of classes that are currently taught in thesister universities in Japan. From the above findings, using Internet communication technology enhances theacademic activities regarding Japanese education between sister universities.

Fluid-Structure Interaction (FSI) modeling is highly effective to reveal deformations, fatigue failures, and stresses on a solid domain caused by the fluid flow. Mechanical properties of the solid structures and the thermophysical properties of fluids can change under different operating conditions. In this study, we investigated the interaction of [45/-45]2 wounded composite tubes with the fluid flows suddenly pressurized to 5 Bar, 10 Bar, and 15 Bar at the ambient temperatures of 24℃, 66℃, and 82℃, respectively. Numerical analyzes were performed under each temperature and pressure condition and the results were compared depending on the time in a period and along the length of the tube. The main purpose of this study is to present the effects of the variations in fluid characteristics by temperature and pressure on the structural response. The variation of the thermophysical properties of the fluid directly affects the deformation and stress in the material due to the Wall Shear Stress (WSS) generated by the fluid flow. The increase or decrease in WSS directly affected the deformations. Results show that the increase in deformation is more than 50% between 5 Bar and 10 Bar for the same operating condition and it is more than 100% between 5 Bar and 15 Bar by the increase in pressure, as expected in terms of the solid mechanics. In the case of the increase in the temperature of fluid and ambient, the WSS and Von Mises stress decrease while the slight increases of deformations take place on the tube. On the other hand, two-way FSI modeling is needed to observe the effects of hydraulic shock and developing flow on the structural response of composite tubes.
