본 연구에서는 봉독약침(BVA)이 콜라겐 2형(CⅡ)으로 유발된 실험적 관절염 흰쥐에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. CⅡ로 초기 면역시킨 후 14일간 매일 BVA를 투여한 군에서 BVA의 양에 따라 관절염 발생을 억제하였다. 추가 면역 후 14일 동안 200㎕/kg의 BVA를 투여한 실험군에서는 관절염 발병을 효과적으로 억제하였으나 CⅡ로 면역 후 약 40일째의 관절염 흰쥐에서는 BVA가 CⅡ에 대한 면역억제반응에 효과가 인정되지 않았다. 관절염 생성 48일째에 항CⅡ 항체는 현저하게 줄었지만 추가 접종후 측정한 CⅡ에 대한 항체는 변화가 없었다. 한편, BVA 투여는 흰쥐에서 지연형과민반응은 현저하게 억제하였다. BVA 전처리군은 carrageenan 유발된 부종을 2시간 후 BVA 10㎕/kg 에서 23.2%, 3시간 후 15㎕/kg 투여군에서 43.2%로 가장 높은 억제율을 나타내며 현저히 감소시켰다. 대조군으로서 Indomethacin 전처리군은 carrageenan유발 부종을 현저히 감소시켰다 . BVA가 5㎕/kg일 때 anti-CⅡ IgG와 anti-IgG2a의 항체들의 낮은 생성율을 보였다. Saline을 투여한 생쥐군과 비교해 볼 때 14일 동안 하루에 한번씩 200㎕/kg 이상의 BVA를 투여한 군이 CⅡ 면역후 24일이 지난 생쥐의 세포를 in vitro에서 CⅡ로 배양한 결과 lymph node 세포에서의 Il-2와 INF-γ 생산성을 억제하였다. 또한 BVA를 투여한 군은 in vitro에서 CⅡ로 lymph node 세포를 자극한 결과 대식세포, IL-1β, IL-6, TNF-α의 생산을 억제한 반면 ex vivo에서의 비장세포에서는 INF-γ의 분비를 억제하였다. CⅡ로 유도된 흰쥐의 관절염 발생률과 발병률에 대한 BVA의 영향을 평가함에 있어 CⅡ는 3주 간격으로 2번 면역을 시켰으며 BVA는 14일 동안 4가지 다른 방법으로 하루에 한번씩 투여했다. 처음 CⅡ로 면역을 시작한 날부터 매일 200㎍/kg의 BVA를 14일간 투여한 경우 관절염발생, 항체형성, 지연형과민반응을 억제하였으며 추가 면역 후 동시에 BVA로 치료한 경우도 CⅡ에 대한 면역반응과 관절염발생을 억제하였다. The effects of Bee Venom herbal acupuncture(BVA), a traditional immunosuppressive Korean herbal acupuncture, on the development of type collagen(C)-induced arthritis(CIA) in rats were studied. Rats were 14 daily i.p. injected with BVA on the day of the primary immunization with C, BVA prevented the development of collagen arthritis in a dose--dependent manner. Also, when rats were i.p. injected with various doses of BVA at a daily dose of 200/kg for 14 days from the day of a booster injection, BVA suppressed the onset of arthritis. Serum antibodies to collagen measured on day 48 were also significantly reduced although no difference was observed in serum antibodies to C measured on the day of a booster injection. DTH was significanly suppressed by treatment of rats with of the BVA. On the other hand, rats which were immunized with C, developed arthritis on approximately 40 days after the primary immunization. Therefore, therapeutic treatment with BVA started 5 weeks after the primary immunization. Its treatment also did not alter the immunological responses to C. Pretreatment by BVA significantly reduced the carrageenan--induced adema in a dose-dependent way to reach a maximal inhibition with the dose 10/kg(23.2%) and after 3h with the dose 15/kg(43.2%). Indomethacin pretreatment induced a significant inhibitory action on carrageenan-induced edema. Lower production of anti-C IgG and IgG2a antibodies were seen in mice given 5/kg of BVA. As compared with rats treated with saline, BVA i.p. injected at doses of more than 200/kg once a day for 14 days inhibited the ability of inguinal lymph node cells to produce T cell cytokines interleukin-2 and interfcron- when the cells were obtained from rats 24 days after immunization and cultured in vitro with C. Treatment with BVA also inhibited production of macrophage cytokines interleukin-1, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor- in response to in vitro stimulation of lymph node cells with C. On the other hand, the i.p. injection of BVA suppressed the C-specific secretion of IFN- from splenocytes ex vivo. When the influence of BVA was evaluated on the incidence and development of arthritis in rat CIA. Rats were immunized twice at a 3-week interval with bovine C, with BVA being given i.p. once a day for 14 days with four different regimens. A 14-day course of BVA treatment at a daily dose of 200/kg, which began on the day of the first C immunization, suppressed the development of arthritis, as well as antibody formation and delayed-type hypersensitivit to C. Treatment with BVA, which started on the same day as the booster immunization, also resulted in inhibition of development of arthritis and of immune responses to C.

The Effect of 12-weeks Basketball Program to Health Related Physical Fitness, Growth Hormone and Testosterone of Obese Middle School Boys Kim, Dong-Wook Department of Physical Education, Graduate School of Education Pusan National University, Korea Directed by Professor Oh, Deuk-Ja Ph. D. Abstract In this study, obese middle school boys living in B Metropolitan City are divided into either exercise group or control group, each of which consists of 9 students. After examining the effect of 12-weeks basketball program to growth hormone and testosterone known as health related physical fitness and metabolic hormone, the result of this study is as follows. 1. Health Related Physical Fitness (1) Body Composition There was no interaction effect in %BF of before and after implementing the program in between the period and groups. In exercise group LBM and SMM increased after implementing the program. No interaction effect appeared though there was a meaningful difference between the period. (2) Physical Strength There was no interaction effect muscular strength, muscle endurance and cardiopulmonary endurance between the period and groups. For cardiovascular endurance it shows meaningful difference between the groups but no interaction effect between the period and groups. Flexibility meaningfully increased in exercise group after the program and there was an interaction effect both in between period and groups. 2. Growth Hormone There was meaningful difference on growth hormone before and after the program but no interaction effect between the period and groups. 3. Testosterone Testosterone increased after the program in exercise group and there was more meaningful difference between the groups after implementing the program than before. Also there was an interaction effect in between period and groups. Based on the result, 12-weeks basketball program helped obese middle school boys to improve body composition and physical strength in part. But the effect of the program seems weak because in general there was no meaningful difference although the average figure was increased in each variable. This is mainly because it was difficult to control living and eating habits of the subjects and the recommendation about appropriate exercise was not offered to all subjects. Therefore, it is required for better result to solve the above problems, recognize the body feature of overweight male secondary school students and provide basketball program accordingly.
X-band MESFET MMIC Power Amplifier

The X-band MMIC power amplifier for VSAT was designed with GaAs metal-semiconductor field effect transistor(MESFETs). The 8-finger 800μm and 16-finger 1600μm depletion-mode GaAs MESFETs fabricated by LG Corporate Institute of Technology were used to design the basic power amplifier for VSAT(Very Small Aperture Terminal) application. Marteka Model is employed for the simulation. The circuit will be fabricated on the GaAs substrate which has 11.9 of dielectric permittivity, 100μm of height, and 10μm of metal thickness. When 15dBm of the input power is applied 27dBm is measured. The GaAs MESFET was biased with A-class operation. This amplifier was for in-wafer probing and consisted of lumped elements such as microstrip spiral inductor, MIM capacitor and NiCr resistor for matching circuits. 27dBm of output power isn’t operated with 15dBm of input power. The reason can inform former fact. 14dB linear gain and –10.5dB, -11dB input and output return loss are obtained and the limited is chip size 2×3mm², After designing, the DRC of the circuit was verified check by Mentor IC Station and HP EEsof Libra 6.1 CAD Tool in order to realize the non-error circuit. In this thesis, the 7.75~8.25GHz MMIC power amplifier was designed with domestic library and the devices which fabrication process were provided by LG CIT. 본 논문은 VSAT(Very Small Aperture Terminal)용 갈륨 비소 전계효과 트랜지스터를 이용한 MMIC 전력 증폭기에 관한 연구이다. LG 종합기술원에서 설계 및 제작된 갈륨 비소 전계효과 트랜지스터를 사용하여 RF On-wafer 측정용으로 설계되었다. 여러 가지 접지는 Via Hole로 열 방출을 용이하게 하였다. 본 전력 증폭기는 LG 종합기술원에서 제공한 Lumped 소자를 이용하여 입·출력 정합회로를 구현하였으며 마지막 2단의 출력 단 정합은 큰 전력을 견디기 위해 Stub를 사용하였다. 첫 단에는 8-finger 800μm, 그리고 두 번째 단에는 이것을 병렬로 연결한 16-finger 1600μm MESFET를 이용한 2-stage의 0.1W급 전력 증폭기이며, 중심 주파수는 8GHz, 대역폭은 600MHz이다. 전체 MMIC 전력 증폭기의 가로대 세로의 크기는 2×3mm²이다. 0dBm의 입력 전력 인가 시 20dBm의 출력전력과 15dB의 선형 이득과 –10.54dB, -11.4dB의 입출력 반사손실을 갖는 전력 증폭기를 설계 및 제작하였다.
Formulation of dual release fixed-dose combination tablet for treatment of diabetes

The aim of the present study was to formulate new fixed-dose combination tablets by coating a glimepiride immediate-release layer on a metformin hydrochloride sustained-release core tablet using perforated film coating equipment. Composition of glimepiride immediate-release coating suspension for homogeneity was studied and application of near infrared spectroscopy (NIR) to determine the end-point of the coating process was also investigated. The final product was administered to healthy male volunteers and its pharmacokinetic parameters were analyzed. Glimepiride immediate-release coating suspension was prepared with a ratio of sodium lauryl sulfate to glimepiride at 0.75 for homogeneity. An inert mid-layer was introduced to prevent contact between metformin hydrochloride sustained-release core tablet and glimepiride immediate-release coating layer, which led to an increased release rate of glimepiride in pH 7.8 medium. The proportional correlation was confirmed between analytical results of glimepiride determined by validated NIR method and those by HPLC-UV. Thus, the end-point of the glimepiride coating process was determined by NIRS, the fast and non-destructive method. The coating process was optimized by design of experiment. Novel dual release fixed dose combination tablet was confirmed to be bioequivalent to the marketed product.

Background Sagittal spinopelvic alignment (SSPA) parameters are essential for the diagnosis of adult spinal deformities (ASD) and their progression. Certain clinical symptoms that occur in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) and herniated nucleus pulposus (HNP) may distort the SSPA and mimic ASD. Objective To differentiate SSPA in symptomatic patients from asymptomatic patients within 10 minutes in the standing position. Methods This retrospective cohort study evaluated changes in SSPA following simple lumbar decompression surgery in patients with LSS and HNP. Relative sagittal alignment (RSA), relative pelvic version, relative lumbar lordosis (RLL), lordosis distribution index (LDI), global alignment, and proportion (GAP) values were calculated using the conventional Schwab classification method. First, the pre- and postoperative SSPA parameters were compared. Second, patients were sub-grouped into symptomatic within 10 minutes of standing (SP group) and other symptoms of LSS and HNP as controls. Changes in SSPA parameters after symptom relief following simple lumbar decompression surgery were compared between the two groups. Results Overall, all SSPA parameters improved following surgery. However, after subgrouping, patients in the control group did not show significant SSPA alterations, except for LDI, whereas patients in the SP group significantly improved in terms of their RSA, RLL, LDI, and GAP values following symptom relief after surgery. Conclusion Patients with pain on standing within 10 minutes showed significant correction in RSA, RLL, and GAP values following simple lumbar decompression. Therefore, it is important to observe such clinical symptoms to avoid misdiagnosis of ASD
