        The tidal currents and the salinity variations of the Keum River estuary were investigated on the basis of field observations on April and August, 1983. In the tidal current observations, the semidiumal tidal current prevails and its rotary direction is revealed the count-clockwise in this area. Also, the apparently constant current which is thought to be generated by the out-flow of the Keum River is found to flow from the Kansan inner harbor to Janghang harbor with the speed of about 30 cm/sec. In addition, the salinity shows the peak at the high water, and then it begins to decrease gradually, and alas the lowest value 1-2 hours after the low water.

      • 冬季 黃海 熱收支와 南海 冷水塊와의 關係

        This paper was investigated between heat budget of the Yellow Sea in winter and fluctuation of the cold water mass in the South Sea in Summer based on the oceanographical and meteorological data which have been compiled from 1963 to 1974. The annual total heat exchange was minimum (604 ly/day) in 1964 and maximum (716 ly/day) in 1968. The surface water temperature and salinity of the South and Yellow Sea on August, 1971 was different each other. But under 30m of depth, change condition of the water temperature and salinity was similarly (water temperature was 8˚-16℃, salinity was more than 33%). The correlation between index of cold water of the South Sea in summer and heat budget of the Yellow Sea in winter was deduced : C-TW = 18.33-0.0265 Q1, where correlation coefficient of this regression equation was appeared to 0.92.

      • 群山地方의 移流霧發生에 關한 硏究

        The status and the occurring mechanism of advection fog at Kunsan area are studied by using the meterological data obtained from the Kunsan Standard Meterological Station and the sea surface water temperature data of the Uchung-do light house during 1974-1984. Advection fog accounts for about 42% of the total number of fog occurrence at Kunsan area, and mainly occurrs from the middle of March to the middle of August. The factors having the strong relationship with the advection fog occurrence are showed as the air and sea surface water temperature, dew-point and vapour pressure. The relationships between these factors are as follows: sea surface water temperature(X) and air temperature(Y): Y = -2.657+0.953X (r = 0.924), dew-point(X) and vapour pressure (Y): Y = 1.948 + 1.08X (r = 0.979), sea surface water temperature(X) and dew-point(Y): Y = 4.006 + 0.829X (r = 0.937) and difference of air temperature and sea surface water temperature(X), and vapour pressure and saturated vapour pressure(Y): Y = -0.352 + 0.809X (r = 0.868). The multiple regression between these factors is appeared as Y = -2.593 - 0.142X1 + 0.139X2 + 0.868X3, where X1 : air temperature, X2 : dew-point, X3 : vapour pressure and Y : sea surface water temperature. Advection fog at Kunsan area mainly occurrs at the sea breeze whose average wind speed is about 2.37 m/sec.

      • 회전원통수조 실험에서 회전속도에 따른 표류각속도

        본 논문은 Kazuo Ukaji와 Katsumi Tamaki의 논문 중 회전속도(回轉速度)와 표류각속도(漂流角速度)의 관계를 기초로 하였다. 그들에 따르면, 회전삼중수조 실험값이 수치모델값보다 열손실에 의해 약 10% 정도 작고, Ω(회전속도)값이 증가하면 ω(표류각속도)는 점차적으로 감소함을 알 수 있었다. 본 논문에서는 그것을 실험으로써 증명하고자 하였다. 온도차(∆T)를 일정하게 유지하고 회전속도를 증가시키면서 파를 관찰하였다. 그 결과, 회전속도(回轉速度)를 크게 할수록 파의 표류각속도는 점차 감소하는 경향을 나타냈다. 또 회전속도에 따른 표류각속도의 기울기는 온도차가 작은 경우에 기울기가 더 높게 나타났다. This essay was based on relation of the drift angular speed and angular velocity in the essay of Kazuo Ukaji and Katsumi Tamaki. According to them, because of heat loss, rotating fluid annulus experimental value is lower about 10 percent than numerical model value, we could know that ω is dwindling if Ω increases. In this essay, we observed to certify it as an experiment. We kept differences of temperature changelessly, and observed form of waves as increasing turning number of times. By the result, when we changed greatly volutions per minute, observed hat the drift angular speed of wave is dwindling. Also, by the result, we observed tilt of a drift angular speed by angular velocity, slant in case difference of temperature is low.

        위성원격탐사에 의한 동중국해 재부상 부유사의 계절적 수평분포 특성

        본 연구에서는 최근 해양, 대기, 육지환경을 동시에 관측할 수 있는 미국 첨단관측 위성 Terra/MODIS(moderate-resolution imaging spectroradiometer) 자료와 동중국해 북부해역에의 현장 관측치를 이용하여 동중국해에서 탁한 해수의 수평 분포에 대한 동·하계 변동 규모를 정량화하고자 하였다. 국립수산과학원에서 2001년 6월부터 실시간 직접 수신한 MODIS 위성의 36개 채널 자료 중, 공간해상도가 250m인 채널 1(620~670nm) 및 공간해상도 500m인 채널 4(545~565nm)와 채널 3(459~479nm)을 합성한 RGB(red, green, blue) 디지털 영상자료를 이용하였다. 중국 연안측과 같이 수심이 얕은 동중국해역에서 발생되는 탁수의 수평 공간 분포 영역은 동계의 경우 강한 풍속과 수온약층의 소멸현상 등으로 수평면적이 평균 232,000㎢였다. 하계의 경우 비교적 약한 풍속과 강한 수온약층의 소멸현상 등으로 수평면적이 평균 71,000㎢로 나타나, 동계 탁수의 수평적 분포 면적이 하계보다 약 3배 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 탁수의 수평면적 변동은 하계의 경우 10~20m 동수심선과, 동계의 경우 50m 등수심과 대략적으로 일치하는 분포를 보였다. 동계는 50m이전까지의 수심에서 재부상한 부유물질이 표층에서 바람 또는 이류에 의해 50m 수심보다 깊은 해역의 표층으로 수평확산되어 탁수가 단지 표층에 국한되어 분포하는 것으로 추정되었다. The spatiotemporal distribution of resuspended solid on the shelf of the southern Yellow Sea and the northern East China Sea was studied. The sea surface reflectance imageries obtained by remote sensing using satellite at channels of red(620~670nm), green(545~565nm) and blue(459~479nm) from Terra MODIS were used to explain the front of the high concentration suspended solid(SS) on the shelf in the East China Sea. The horizontal distribution of the resuspended solid was depended on the wind force, tidal current and stratification of water. The horizontal distribution areas of the resuspended solid in winter season during January~April, 2002 were three times wider than those in summer season during June~September, 2001.

        동경만의 생태계모델 결과와 위성자료의 비교연구

        일본 동경만의 흐름양상과 생물플럭스의 분포특성을 역학-생태계모델을 통해 구현하고, 위성자료에서 얻어진 영상과 비교 분석하였다. 모델의 초기치와 경계치는 2001년 3월의 관측값들을 이용하였다. 운용된 모델 결과에서 얻어진 동경만의 흐름양상과 염분분포 등은 선행연구들과 대체로 일치하며 모델의 재현성을 어느 정도 신뢰할 수 있었다. NOAA/AVHRR에서 추정된 SST는 모델 결과에 비해 전체적인 분포양상은 아주 유사하였으나, 만입구에서 2.5℃정도, 내만에서 0.5℃ 정도 높게 추정되었다. 위성에서 얻어진 클로필-a 분포는 모델결과의 식물플랑크톤분포와 그 양상이 비슷하나, 농도는 상당한 차이가 나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 불일치에 관해서는 앞으로도 계속적인 연구가 수행될 예정이다. The hydro-dynamical and ecological coupled model were applied in the Tokyo Bay, to evaluate the flow pattern including water quality parameters and the distribution of biomass flux, and to compare with the results obtained from the satellite data during March 2001. The flow pattern and salinity distribution obtained from the present model were nearly identical with those of the previous studies. SST from NOAA/AVHRR was 2.5℃ higher than model reuslts in the mouth of bay and 0.5℃ lower than model results in inner bay, respectively. It was found that the concentration of chlorophyll-a estimated from SeaWiFS was considerably higher than that of model result, regardless similar distribution pattern. This disagreement will be studied through the more elaborate investigation in the future.

      • 專門大學海洋土木科模型敎育課程 修正開發硏究

        This is a study to modify the curriculum of the ocean civil engineering department in junior college. We collected and analyzed data which are concerned on the curriculum development or improvement, the marine techniques and the ocean policy. And then we also gathered the opinions of the professors serving at the ocean civil engineering department by holding several conferences and investigated the opinions of the ocean civil engineers serving at the industrial organization by way of the inquring papers. In addition we collected the advices of educational specialists and ocean civil specialists by visiting personally. On the basis of above opinions we developed the jobs of graduates and made a model curriculum shown in Table 6. We tried to intensify the subjects of special basic field related to the ocean & civil engineering and the subjects of basic experiment & practise. The ocean observation practise was newly formed and the E. D. P.S was reinforced.

        To carry out the study on the curriculum development for the ocean civil department in junior college, we collected and analyzed data which are on the curriculum development or improvement of the inside and outside of the country. We also gathered the opinion through the inquiring paper investigation and the consultation to the industrial organization, concerned school and authorities during 6 months from May, 1981. In addition, we analyzed and compared the present curriculum of special civil and ocean civil department in junior college. On the basis of above methods, a result we made a model curriculum shown in Table 10. Under current trend and circumstances of the industrial society, the best way for the curriculum development is to make like the course curriculum. But, it is is difficult to make the course curriculums of the ocean cavil department at present. Because the ocean civil is a branch of general civil engineering, furthermore the oceanic industry of our country is not developed well. So, dividing the major subjects in four fields for operating the model curriculum flexibly with the characteristics of the community and college, we developed the suitable curriculum in junior college course, such as general basic field, special basic field related to the ocean, special basic field related to the general civil and application field. We also tried to entensify the subjects of general basic field, special basic field related to the ocean, and to simplify the number of subjects in the model curriculum. Of course we can't say this model curriculum is perfect. But we believe firmly that the results of this paper will be a help to another curriculum development or improvement study for the ocean civil department in junior college.

        The marine environmental characteristics of the vicinity of Nampo sea area were investigated in order to assess the environmental variation and the ecological influences by the project of reclaimation from February to May, 1986. At flood tide, the water coming from the southwest of Kabampo turned to counter-clockwise and flowed to the in front of Kapbawi with the speed of 0.4-1.2 knot. Whileas, at ebb tide, the current turned to the clockwise in front of Kapbawi and then moved to the off sea with 0.4-1.3 knot. Although the levels of nutrient salts were relatively low, but the SS level was higher compared with that of other areas due to the reclaimation construction. As a whole, the procuctivity of this area is poor state compared with other coastal areas.
