        라캉의 대학담론과 자본주의:『세미나 17』을 중심으로

        Jacques Lacan’s theory of the four discourses--master’s discourse, hysteric’s discourse, university discourse, and analyst’s discourse--is a psychoanalytic attempt to account for the discursive structures that constitute a given social formation, and their transformation. Lacan’s detailed discussion and analysis of the four discourses are contained in his Seminar XVII: The Other Side of Psychoanalysis (2007), the collection of his lectures delivered in 1969-70. This seminar reveals that Lacan’s thought on the four discourses holds much profounder theoretical connotations and political insights than have been known since Taesook Kim’s introduction of the theory in 2004. What is most striking about the seminar is, among others, the way Lacan discusses the capitalist political and libidinal economy, especially in terms of the university discourse. The university discourse turns out to be the fundamental discursive structure that constitutes the capitalist social system. In this regard, Lacan’s university discourse provides an important theoretical link that connects Lacanian psychoanalysis to the analysis of capitalism. Jacques Lacan’s Seminar XVII emerges as a seminal text that fills in the gap between psychoanalysis and Marxism.

        Direct Medical Costs for Patients with Type 2 Diabetes and Related Complications: A Prospective Cohort Study Based on the Korean National Diabetes Program

        <P>We analyzed the direct medical costs for Korean patients with type 2 diabetes according to the type of complications and the number of microvascular complications. We analyzed costs for type 2 diabetes and associated complications in 3,125 patients. These data were obtained from the Korean National Diabetes Program (KNDP), a large, ongoing, prospective cohort study that began in 2005. The cost data were prospectively collected, using an electronic database, for the KNDP cohort at six hospitals. The costs were analyzed according to complications for 1 yr from enrollment in the study. Among 3,125 patients, 918 patients had no vascular complications; 1,883 had microvascular complications only; 51 had macrovascular complications only; and 273 had both complications. The annual direct medical costs for a patient with only macrovascular, only microvascular, or both macrovascular and microvascular complications were 2.7, 1.5, and 2.0 times higher than the medical costs of patients without complications. Annual direct medical costs per patient increased with the number of microvascular complications in patients without macrovascular complications. The economic costs for type 2 diabetes are attributable largely to the management of microvascular and macrovascular complications. Proper management of diabetes and prevention of related complications are important for reducing medical costs.</P>

        A Comprehensive Overview of RNA Deconvolution Methods and Their Application

        Tumors are surrounded by a variety of tumor microenvironmental cells. Profiling individual cells within the tumor tissues is crucial to characterize the tumor microenvironment and its therapeutic implications. Since single-cell technologies are still not cost-effective, scientists have developed many statistical deconvolution methods to delineate cellular characteristics from bulk transcriptome data. Here, we present an overview of 20 deconvolution techniques, including cutting-edge techniques recently established. We categorized deconvolution techniques by three primary criteria: characteristics of methodology, use of prior knowledge of cell types and outcome of the methods. We highlighted the advantage of the recent deconvolution tools that are based on probabilistic models. Moreover, we illustrated two scenarios of the common application of deconvolution methods to study tumor microenvironments. This comprehensive review will serve as a guideline for the researchers to select the appropriate method for their application of deconvolution.

      • Surface Modification of a ZnO Electron-Collecting Layer Using Atomic Layer Deposition to Fabricate High-Performing Inverted Organic Photovoltaics

        <P>A ripple-structured ZnO film as the electron-collecting layer (ECL) of an inverted organic photovoltaic (OPV) was modified by atomic layer deposition (ALD) to add a ZnO thin layer. Depositing a thin ZnO layer by ALD on wet-chemically prepared ZnO significantly increased the short-circuit current (<I>J</I><SUB>sc</SUB>) of the OPV. The highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 7.96% with <I>J</I><SUB>sc</SUB> of 17.9 mA/cm<SUP>2</SUP> was observed in the inverted OPV with a 2-nm-thick ALD-ZnO layer, which quenched electron–hole recombination at surface defects of ZnO ripples. Moreover, an ALD-ZnO layer thinner than 2 nm made the distribution of electrical conductivity on the ZnO surface more uniform, enhancing OPV performance. In contrast, a thicker ALD-ZnO layer (5 nm) made the two-dimensional distribution of electrical conductivity on the ZnO surface more heterogeneous, reducing the PCE. In addition, depositing an ALD-ZnO thin layer enhanced OPV stability and initial performance.         <P>Pure and TiO2- and CdSe-deposited ZnO nanosheets aligned vertically to the surface of ITO (Indium tin oxide) are prepared using electrodeposition, which is used for building blocks of dye sensitized solar cell. A significant improvement in the photovoltaic efficiency can be obtained by depositing TiO2 or CdSe on ZnO. Photoluminescence spectra show that the TiO2 and CdSe nanostructures suppress the recombination of the electron-hole pair of ZnO. We suggest that the interface charge transfer at TiO2-ZnO and CdSe-ZnO should be responsible for the suppression of the electron-hole pair recombination and enhanced solar cell efficiency by TiO2 and CdSe nanostructures.</P>

        현장중심의 효율적 재난통신체계 수립 방안 연구

        우리나라는 고속의 경제성장을 이룩해 오면서 경제적, 사회적으로 성장이란 관점에 초점을 맞추어 왔고 그 결과 세계 선진국 대열에 근접하였다. 그러나 지금 우리는 국가 전체적으로 재난과 안전이란 문제에 직면에 있다. 국가재난관리체계와 그에 대한 시스템, 국민의 안전의식은 여전히 후진국 수준에 머물러 있었음이 드러났고 이것은 최근 세월호 사건으로 극명하게 표출되면서 정부와 국민 모두에게 큰 자각심을 불러 일으켰다. 또한 이전과 달리 재난은 환경적, 사회적 등의 변화로 더욱 대형화, 복잡화, 다변화됨과 동시에 예측이 불가능한 형태로 바뀌어 가고 있다. 이와 같은 변화에서 재난현장을 중심으로 한 신속하고 효율적인 대응의 중요성이 그 어느 때보다 절실하게 요구되고 있다. 이러한 시대적 요구를 실현하기 위해서는 국가적 차원에서의 재난현장 중심의 일원화된 재난통신망 구축과 재난대응관리에 대한 법, 제도, 조직 개선 및 고도화된 재난대응표준절차 수립이 필요하다. 재난현장 중심의 효율성을 확보한 일원화된 재난통신망을 구축하기 위해서는 현장에 투입된 유관기관 담당자들 간의 원활한 통신확보, 다양한 현장 정보입수, 정보공유, 통신 불감지역 최소화, 정확한 현장 대응을 위한 신속한 의사결정, 통신두절 대비 백업망 구축 등이 필수적인 요소이다. 이를 위해 음성통신 외에 영상을 포함한 다양한 멀티미디어 통신과 위치정보 파악이 가능하고 우리나라가 약 70% 원천 기술을 보유한 PS-LTE 방식을 이용한 통신망 구축이 최적으로 판단된다. 또한 주파수 특성상 통신 불감지역이 최소인 700MHz 대역을 이용하고 예측할 수 없는 통신두절에 대비한 위성통신백업망과 재난현장의 많은 정보 입수를 위해 센서 네트워크 기술, 소셜미디어 활용 등을 통하여 신속하고 정확한 의사결정과 현장대응 및 일사분란한 지휘통신체계로 피해를 최소화 할 수 있다. 이와 동시에 재난대응 관리 측면에서는 첫째로 재난관리 표준운영절차를 선진화, 고도화하여 재난발생시 f즉각적인 행동절차에 돌입하게 하며 둘째로 개방형 플랫폼 형태의 재난통합대응체계를 구성하여 민관이 공동으로 재난대응에 참여할 수 있도록 한다. 셋째로 법, 제도, 업무분산에 의한 총괄조정기능을 강화하여 적극적인 재난안전관리를 도모한다. 넷째로 국무총리 산하에 별도의 재난대응 전담조직이 필요한데 해당업무의 특성이나 규모를 고려하여 소방이 적합한 조직으로 사료된다. 다섯째로 인명 구조를 위한 특수구조단체 설립이 필요하고 여기에는 현재 중앙 119구조대를 확대, 개편하는 것이 바람직하다. 마지막으로는 현재의 복잡한 긴급구조통신번호를 119로 통합하고 이에 대한 통합센터 신설과 전문인력 양성에도 많은 정부의 노력이 필요할 것으로 사료된다. Our society is changed and diversified rapidly and such tendency is accelerated day after day and has made a lot of problems in the many fields. The important thing we have to recognize is such tendency has a bad effect recently on the safety system in Korea. So it is time to enhance the national safety system and moreover recently Sewol-ho(passenger ship) went down in the sea, it made people remind the importance of national safety system. With this incident, Korean government decided to establish the national safety communication network against the disaster. At this time, I will propose several ideas about the national safety communication network. 1. It must to be established an unified network to contact people who is on a disaster site anytime and anywhere. This is most important element on all disaster sites. 2. PS-LTE technology must to be adopted to the network because it has many advantages including various multimedia services compared to the TETRA in the past. 3. 700MHz is the most efficient band for the network because it has wide cell sites coverage compared to 1.8GHz. 4. Satellite communication system is needed to the network for back-up. 5. It will be effective to adopt Social Media to the communication network system like a Twitter or Facebook for sharing many kinds of information and notifying people of warning message. 6. It can make the network more useful to introduce the latest technology like a sensor network. And Korean government has to improve the system related to the disaster including law and operating organization.

        Association between Nutrient Intake and Obesity in Type 2 Diabetic Patients from the Korean National Diabetes Program: A Cross-Sectional Study

        <P>The aim of the study was to assess the association between usual dietary nutrient intake and obesity in Korean type 2 diabetic patients. We examined 2,832 type 2 diabetic patients from the Korean National Diabetes Program cohort who completed dietary assessment and clinical evaluation in this cross-sectional study. In men, higher dietary fiber intake was associated with a lower odds of being obese (<I>P<SUB>trend</SUB></I> = 0.003) and in women, higher protein intake was associated with a lower odds of being obese (<I>P<SUB>trend</SUB></I> = 0.03) after adjustment for age, diabetes duration, HbA1c, alcohol drinking, income, education level, and calorie intake. In men, higher fiber intake was associated with lower odds of obesity after further adjustment for diastolic blood pressure, physical activity, and possible confounding nutritional intake and medication. The multivariable adjusted odds ratio for the highest quintile of fiber intake was 0.37 (<I>P<SUB>trend</SUB></I> < 0.001). In women, protein intake was not associated with obesity after further adjustment. In conclusion, higher intake of dietary fiber is associated with lower odds of being obese in type 2 diabetic men, suggesting a role for dietary fiber in the management and prevention of obesity in type 2 diabetes (ClinicalTrials.gov: NCT 01212198).</P>

        Gardner Syndrome Showing Multiple Osteomas in the Jaws

        Gardner syndrome, an autosomal dominant inherited condition, is a subtype of familial adenomatous polyposis. It causes lesions in bones, skin, and teeth, as well as multiple gastrointestinal polyps, which, if left untreated, become malignant. Because patients with colorectal cancer have a low survival rate, early diagnosis and treatment of Gardner syndrome is critical. Therefore, the characteristic lesions of Gardner disease that appear on the face, jaws, and oral cavity must be understood; these can be evaluated by oral and maxillofacial clinicians. This report describes a case that was diagnosed and treated earlier with the help of a routine oral and maxillofacial examination and has had a seemingly good prognosis so far.

        국가재난통신체계 수립 방안 연구

        Korea has faced with the problem of the whole national disaster safety due to the Sewol-ho and it reminded people and government of the importance of national safety. It is needed to establish the national unified network especially focused on the disaster site and also improved in the fields of law, system and organization related to the management of disaster. To do this, PS-LTE technology must to be adopted to the network and 700MHz is the most efficient bandwidth for the network. At the same time, we have to improve the management system for the response of disaster including standard procedure and the platform of disaster response system. In order to establish realistic and efficient emergency communications network, it is effective to build own network and use leased networks together. And the cost is estimated about 5.2 trillion won. 우리나라는 최근 세월호 사건을 계기로 총체적인 국가안전체계 부재라는 사실에 직면해 있으며 정부와 국민 모두에게 큰 경각심과 충격을 주었고 국가적 차원에서의 일원화된 재난통신망 구축과 재난대응관리에 대한 법, 제도, 조직 개선 및 선진화된 재난대응표준절차의 수립이 절실히 필요하게 되었다. 이를 실현하기 위해 PS-LTE 방식을 이용한 통신망 구축이 최적의 방법이며, 700MHz 주파수 대역을 이용하고 동시에 재난대응 관리 측면에서도, 재난관리 표준운영절차 선진화, 개방형 플랫폼 형태의 재난통합대응체계 구성이 필요하다. 효율적인 재난통신망 구축을 위해서는 자체망 구축과 임대망을 혼용하여 사용하는 것이 효과적이며 약 5조 2천억원의 비용이 소요될 것으로 추정된다.
