        Long-term Effects of Uncomplicated Traumatic Hyphema on Corneal and Lenticular Clarity

        Purpose: To evaluate the long-term effects of uncomplicated traumatic hyphema on endothelial morphology, anterior segment structure, and corneal and lenticular densitometry Methods: In this retrospective comparative study, eyes with a history of uncomplicated traumatic hyphema were compared with the healthy contralateral unaffected eyes. The corneal endothelial cell properties were captured using specular microscopy. Anterior segment analysis, corneal densitometry (12-mm corneal diameter), and lens densitometry measurements were performed using the Pentacam imaging system. Results: Measurements were obtained at a mean follow-up of 49.5 ± 15.8 months after injury. The average endothelial cell density was significantly lower in the study group than in the control group (2,506.6 ± 294.0 cells/mm² vs. 2,665.7 ± 195.0 cells/mm², p = 0.020). There was no difference between the groups in respect of polymegathism and pleomorphism (p = 0.061 and p = 0.558, respectively). All the investigated corneal tomographic and angle parameters were similar in both groups (all p > 0.05). The corneal densitometry values in all concentric zones and layers showed no statistically significant difference between the groups (p > 0.05 for all). The lens zone 1 densitometry value was significantly higher in the study group than in the control group (9.6% ± 1.1% vs. 8.9% ± 1.2%, p = 0.031). No difference was observed in zone 2 and 3 (p = 0.170 and p = 0.322, respectively). The degree of hyphema was not correlated with endothelial cell and lenticular clarity loss (p = 0.087 and p = 0.294, respectively). Conclusions: Even if traumatic hyphema is not complicated, long-term outcomes indicate endothelial cell loss and increased lenticular density.

        Finite-difference time-domain study of Si nanorod arrays with UV and green light

        The fnite-diference time-domain (FDTD) simulation on the absorption properties of Si nanorods with diferent spacings at UV and green light has been conducted. It was revealed that the enhanced absorption along the sidewalls of Si nanorods occurred, parallel to the light polarization directions, at UV-light while the green light is literally confned towards the nanorod center which leads to the V-shape absorption. The signifcant diference in absorption profle at two diferent illuminations is mainly due to the distinct origin of the light-matter interactions. For the UV light, the polarization induced local electric feld in the gap between nanorods is responsible for the results observed. However, the confned prolonged absorption of the green light is attributed to the non-negligible total internal refection inside Si nanorod waveguide.

        Growth rate, carcass characteristics and meat quality of growing lambs fed buckwheat or maize silage

        Objective: This study evaluated inclusion of buckwheat silage to the diet of growing lambs in terms of meat quality as compared to maize silage. Methods: Buckwheat, rich in total phenols (TP, 33 g/kg dry matter [DM]), was harvested at the end of the milk stage and ensiled in 40 kg plastic bags after wilting (294 g/kg silage DM). A total of 18 growing lambs ($21.6{\pm}1.2$) were individually fed isonitrogenous and isoenergetic total mixed rations (TMR) for 75 d that either contained buckwheat or maize silage at DM proportions of 0.50. At the end of feeding trail all lambs were slaughtered to assess carcass characteristics and meat quality. Results: Buckwheat silage increased (p<0.01) the DM intake of lambs as compared to maize silage, but had no effects (p>0.05) on live weight gain and feed efficiency. Carcass weight, dressing percentage, meat pH, water holding capacity, cooking loss, shear force ($kg/cm^2$), and total viable bacteria count of meat did not differ (p>0.05) between the treatments. However, TP content of meat increased (p<0.001) by feeding buckwheat TMR. Feeding buckwheat TMR also decreased (p<0.05) the b* values of meat. Conclusion: The results provide that buckwheat silage is palatable and could successfully include TMR of growing lambs with no adverse effects on performance, carcass and meat quality. Additionally, feeding buckwheat silage to lambs offers increased TP in meat.

        Modulated 3D light absorption profile in GaN nanorod arrays

        The depth dependent UV-light absorption profile of GaN nanorods with different lattice arrays and filling factors was studied using finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) methods. By comparing to the results from Lambert- Beer’s law with Maxwell-Garnett effective medium theory, we identified the quantitative contribution from nano-scattering effect on the light absorption in the nanorod arrays. The FDTD study of graphical 3D profile of light absorption and electric field intensity was parallelly conducted to investigate the origin of the nanoscattering. We found that the coupled electric field in the gap regions led to the larger absorption crosssection of the nanorod arrays, which is attributed to the distorted depth profile of the light absorption.

        On generalized lattice B_2

        This study is on a Boolean $\mathcal{B}$ or Boolean lattice $L$ in abstract algebra with closed binary operation $\ast,$ complement and distributive properties. Both Binary operations and logic properties dominate this set. A lattice sheds light on binary operations and other algebraic structures. In particular, the construction of the elements of this L set from idempotent elements, our definition of k-order idempotent has led to the expanded definition of the definition of the lattice theory. In addition, a lattice offers clever solutions to vital problems in life with the concept of logic. The restriction on a lattice is clearly also limit such applications. The flexibility of logical theories adds even more vitality to practices. This is the main theme of the study. Therefore, the properties of the set elements resulting from the binary operation force the logic theory. According to the new definition given, some properties, lemmas and theorems of the lattice theory are examined. Examples of different situations are given.

        Investigation of Enhanced Light Absorption in GaN Nanorod Arrays by Finite-Difference Time-Domain Method

        Finite-difference time-domain simulation of GaN nanorod arrays with linearly polarized ultraviolet (UV) (325 nm) and visible (513 nm) light has been carried out. Enhanced light absorption of nanorods with confined electric field in the surrounding gap was observed. To identify the rationale of this finding, we studied their three-dimensional graphical profile and then realized that 1) modal resonance is developed with absorption gain in the UV region and 2) reflection at the interface with substrate leads to a subtle increase of absorption of visible light. By solving the eigenvalue equation, we also confirmed that TM11 mode of leaky-mode resonance is responsible for the observed modal absorption of UV light.

      • SPIN HALF-ADDER IN 𝓑<sub>3</sub>

        This study is about spin half add operations in 𝓑<sub>2</sub> and 𝓑<sub>3</sub>. The burden of technological structures has increased due to the increase in the use of today's technological applications or the processes in the digital systems used. This has increased the importance of fast transactions and storage areas. For this, less transactions, more gain and storage space are foreseen. We have handle tit (triple digit) system instead of bit (binary digit). 729 is reached in 3<sup>6</sup> in 𝓑<sub>3</sub> while 256 is reached with 2<sup>8</sup> in 𝓑<sub>2</sub>. The volume and number of transactions are shortened in 𝓑<sub>3</sub>. The limited storage space at the maximum level is storaged. The logic connectors and the complement of an element in 𝓑<sub>2</sub> and the course of the connectors and the complements of the elements in 𝓑<sub>3</sub> are examined. "Carry" calculations in calculating addition and "borrow" in calculating difference are given in 𝓑<sub>3</sub>. The logic structure 𝓑<sub>2</sub> is seen to embedded in the logic structure 𝓑<sub>3</sub>. This situation enriches the logic structure. Some theorems and lemmas and properties in logic structure 𝓑<sub>2</sub> are extended to logic structure 𝓑<sub>3</sub>.

        Performance and milk composition of dairy goats as affected by the dietary level of stoned olive cake silages

        Objective: The current study compared the effects of dietary levels of two phase stoned olive cake (OC) in form of silage (OCS) on milk production and quality of Saanen goats. Methods: The OCS included in total mixed ration (TMR) at dry matter proportions of 0.0 (OC0), 0.10 (OC10), and 0.20 (OC20). The TMR were fed to a total of 18 goats in a completely randomized design for a period of 5 weeks. Results: Dietary treatments had no effect on the milk yield of Saanen goats, but the daily milk fat production was greater (p<0.05) at feeding OC20. The total phenolic (TP) compounds contents increased (p<0.01) in each increment of OCS in TMR and this was also reflected in the TP contents of milk. The C8:0, C10:0, C12:0, and C14:0 saturated fatty acids (FAs) in milk fat decreased (p<0.01) with increasing dietary level of OCS, but the decrease (p<0.001) in C16:0 and the increase (p<0.01) in C18:0 in milk fat occurred similarly at each inclusion level of OCS. Only OC20 reduced (p<0.05) the total saturated FA, yet the reduction (p<0.01) in n6/n3 ratio and atherogenicity index occurred in both OC10 and OC20. Conclusion: Two phase stoned OCS increases milk quality not only through modifying the milk FA composition, but also by increasing the milk TP content. These favorable changes in milk quality are closely associated with the dietary level of OCS.

      • ON THE DIGITS OF NUMBERS IN THE SYSTEM LOGIC B<sub>3</sub>

        This study is about digits of numbers in system logic B<sub>3</sub>. Any real number is written as digits in the binary system, in the ternary system. The numbers in base two and base three are also written in the B<sub>3</sub> system ternary logic. These two writing methods are transferred into the third method. The real numbers 0,1 and 0, 1, 2 are written as digits. The same real numbers are written as digits of elements of the set -1, 0, 1 in base B<sub>3</sub>. The periods here are investigated. The relationship between these digits is analysed.
