Ways of Telicization in Chinese Resultative Compounds
Chenchen Song,Ke Wu 한국생성문법학회 2022 생성문법연구 Vol.32 No.3
In this paper, we build on Song (2018) and undertake a comparative study of the syntactic behavior of verb-resultative (V-R) compounds in three Chinese varieties: Standard Mandarin, Dongying Mandarin, and Wenzhou Wu. They systematically differ from each other in whether they require an obligatory post-V-R morpheme and, if they do, whether the choice of that morpheme is a purely grammatical issue. We find that while both Dongying Mandarin and Wenzhou Wu require a post-V-R morpheme (whereas Standard Mandarin does not), they sharply differ in the choice of said morpheme. We attribute this cross-dialectal variation to the way Chinese varieties telicize their resultative compounds and propose an analysis based on root syntax. After laying out our analysis, which is an extension of the analysis in Song (2018), we further discuss the parameterization of the three-way variation, arguing for a parameter hierarchy-based model over a flat model.

Newcastle disease virus (NDV) and Salmonella Pullorum have significant damaging effects on the poultry industry, but no previous vaccinecan protect poultry effectively. In this study, a recombinant-attenuated S. Pullorum strain secreting the NDV hemagglutinin-neuraminidase(HN) protein, C79-13ΔcrpΔasd (pYA-HN), was constructed by using the suicide plasmid pREasd-mediated bacteria homologousrecombination method to form a new bivalent vaccine candidate against Newcastle disease (ND) and S. Pullorum disease (PD). The effectof this vaccine candidate was compared with those of the NDV LaSota and C79-13ΔcrpΔasd (pYA) strains. The serum hemagglutinationinhibition antibody titers, serum immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies, secretory IgA, and stimulation index in lymphocyte proliferation wereincreased significantly more (p < 0.01) in chickens inoculated with C79-13ΔcrpΔasd (pYA-HN) than with C79-13ΔcrpΔasd (pYA) but werenot significantly increased compared with the chickens immunized with the LaSota live vaccine (p > 0.05). Moreover, the novel strain provides60% and 80% protective efficacy against the NDV virulent strain F48E9 and the S. Pullorum virulent strain C79-13. In summary, in this study,a recombinant-attenuated S. Pullorum strain secreting NDV HN protein was constructed. The generation of the S. Pullorum C79-13ΔcrpΔasd(pYA-HN) strain provides a foundation for the development of an effective living-vector double vaccine against ND and PD.
An Innovative Model of Supply Chain Finance

In recent years, China has been experiencing a rise of innovation practice in supply chain fincnace, which becomes a new hostpot of theoretical research in the field of supply chain. Through comparative analysis of traditional supply chain finance models, this paper deduced an innovative supply chain finance model of FEL model which served the upgradation of industry chain. Based on discussion on the internal and external environment impacting on the integrated system of the FEL model, this paper brought forward relevant policy suggestions on further development of supply chain finance in China.
Study on wall pressure and hysteresis behaviors of a novel dual-bell nozzle
Ke Xin Wu,Gerald Canaan Sohn,Ruoyu Deng,Hao Jia,Heuy Dong Kim,Xianghui Su 대한기계학회 2023 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.37 No.9
The dual-bell nozzle is a kind of altitude adaptive nozzle for improving the performance of space launchers as well as future reusable launch vehicles. Numerical investigations have been conducted on a planar dual-bell nozzle to illustrate the flow characteristics at sea level, “sneak” transition, and altitude modes, respectively. Findings from computational fluid dynamics have been contrasted with experimental data from the open literature. The normalized pressure distributions along the dual-bell nozzle wall for different turbulence models are compared to the pressure measurements taken during the experiment by fixing the nozzle pressure ratio (NPR) at 29.8. The NPR value gradually rises across a large range from 6 to 55 to explore the evolution of the flow characteristics. The pressure distributions along the nozzle wall and shock position have been investigated. The hysteretic behaviors occur in dual-bell nozzles close to the contour inflection. The wall pressure and hysteresis behaviors have been expounded in detail.
Improved Fiber Uniformity and Jet Number in Multi-spinneret Electrospinning via Auxiliary Electrode
Yu-Ke Wu,Zong-Jie Li,Jie Fan,Liang Wang,Peng-Fei Zhang,Jian Liu,Yong Liu 한국섬유공학회 2019 Fibers and polymers Vol.20 No.6
Auxiliary-electrode electrospinning process is a novel technique to improve nanofiber production rate Due to theformation of multiple jets. In the present work, dual-spinneret (DSE) and tri-spinneret electrospinning (TSE) with anauxiliary electrode were employed to evaluate the number of jets and fiber uniformity in this electrospinning process. Theresults showed that all the spinnerets in DSE and TSE with an auxiliary electrode could produce 2-12 jets, which could beadjusted by controlling the process parameters such as applied voltage and injection speed. The number of jets initiallyincreased and then decreased with a rise in applied voltage in these two systems. Moreover, the produced nanofibers weresmaller in size and possessed a more uniform fiber diameter per distribution in comparison to those without the auxiliaryelectrode. This work provides a new insight on mass production of nanofibers and designing electrospinning apparatus.

Ma Ke Yan,Lu Jing Bin,Ma Ying Jun,Li Jian,Yang Dong,Sun Wu Ji,Wang Hao,Pan Hao Nan,Wang Jia Qi,Yang Qing Yu,Zhang Da Ming,Zhu Li Hua,Wu Xiao Guang,Zheng Yun,Li Cong Bo 한국물리학회 2020 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.76 No.12
Excited states of 113In have been populated through the heavy-ion fusion evaporation reaction 110Pd(7Li, 4n)113In. A new band with the configuration of a proton d5/2 orbital is identified. Two ΔI = 2 intruder bands, built on the πh11/2 and the πg7/2 orbitals, have been extended to spins (63/2-)ħ and (55/2+)ħ, respectively. The negative-parity πh11/2 intruder band shows a smooth increase in aligned spin, which is attributed to a strong proton-neutron interaction. The properties of the positive-parity πg7/2 band are discussed based on tilted axis cranking model calculations, and the features of the antimagnetic rotation for this band are shown after backbend. Furthermore, the contributions of the two-shears-like mechanism, the neutron (gd)ν shell and the core rotation are investigated for the positive-parity πg7/2 band.

Purpose: This study was performed to analyze the rule of confluence of the caudate lobe bile duct (CLD) into the left hepatic duct (LHD) and to discuss the protective strategy during left hemihepatectomy. Methods: MRI of 400 patients and T-tube angiography images of 100 patients were collected, and the imaging rules of the confluence of the CLD into the LHD were summarized. The clinical data of 33 patients who underwent left hemihepatectomy using the protective strategy were analyzed. Results: MRI and T-tube angiography images showed that the length from the confluence point of the CLD into the LHD to the confluence of the left and right hepatic ducts was 1.19 ± 0.40 cm and 1.26 ± 0.39 cm, respectively. The average angle between the longitudinal axis of the 2 bile ducts was 68.27° ± 22.59° and 66.58 ± 22.88°, respectively. Coronal and cross-sectional images showed that inflow from the foot side to the cranial side was noted in 79.8% and 82.0% of patients, respectively, and inflow from the dorsal to the ventral side was observed in 84.5% and 88.0%, respectively. Based on these imaging rules, the safe transection length and plane were summarized, and the CLD was effectively protected in 33 cases of left hemihepatectomy. Conclusion: In left hemihepatectomy, the LHD should be transected at least 1.5 cm away from the confluence of the left and right hepatic ducts, and the plane of transection should be oblique to the dorsal side at an angle of 45° with the LHD, these parameters represent an effective strategy to protect the CLD.
