Improved Excitation Coding for 13 kbps Variable Rate QCELP Coder

This paper reports on the optimal design of the excitation codebook in the 13 kbps variable rate QCELP coder of Korean speech. We present two optimal excitation codebooks which consist of 128 and 556 samples, respectively. For the design and test of the improved codebook, a data base of Korean speech is used. A quasi-Newton optimization algorithm was developed to design the codebook. The optimized codebook which remains sparse, can produce an average gain of 0.84 and 0.45 dB in SNR and SEGSNR respectively. Informal listening tests confirm the improvement in speech quality.

<P>Three new organic dyes that contain the dithienosilole (DTS) moiety as spacer have been synthesized and their photophysical/electrochemical properties, theoretical calculation and dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) performance have been investigated. The overall conversion efficiencies for DSSCs based on these dyes range from 6.73 to 7.50%, comparable to a (3–5′-[<I>N</I>,<I>N</I>-bis(9,9-dimethylfluorene-2-yl)phenyl]2,2′-bithiophene-5-yl}-2-cyanoacrylic acid (<B>JK-2</B>)-sensitized device (7.63%), fabricated and measured under the same experimental conditions. The DSSC constructed from one of the three compounds shows a higher open-circuit voltage (<I>V</I><SUB>OC</SUB>) compared to those of the other two dye sensitized solar cells due to an increased electron lifetime (<I>τ</I><SUB>e</SUB>) in the conduction band of TiO<SUB>2</SUB>.</P> <P>Graphic Abstract</P><P>Organic sensitizers bearing dithienosilole (DTS) segment as spacer, DTS-Me<SUB>2</SUB>, DTS-Ph<SUB>2</SUB> and DTS-MePh, exhibit solar conversion efficiencies of 6.73, 7.50 and 6.81%, respectively. <IMG SRC='http://pubs.rsc.org/services/images/RSCpubs.ePlatform.Service.FreeContent.ImageService.svc/ImageService/image/GA?id=b926163j'> </P>

Terephthalic acid(TPA), 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid(NDA), 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol(CHDM)을 사용하여 poly(1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate-co-1,4-cyclohexylene dimethylene 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate) (PCTN)를 용융중합하였다. DSC를 통해 열특성을 분석하였고, NDA와 CHDM이 첨가된 PCTN 공중합체의 유리전이온도는 poly(ethylene terephthlatae)(PET) 대비 크게 향상됨을 확인하였다. 열분해 거동은 TGA를 사용하여 확인하고 <SUP>1</SUP>H NMR을 통해 화학구조를 규명하였다. PCTN 공중합 폴리에스터는 TPA와 NDA의 함량에 따라 변화되는 광학특성을 보여주었고, 또한 PCTN 필름이 기존의 PET와 poly(ethylene naphthalate)(PEN) 필름과 비교하여 뛰어난 열특성 및 차단 특성을 보여주었다. In this work, a series of poly(1,4-cyclohexylenedimethylene terephthalate-co-1,4-cyclohexylene dimethylene 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylate) (PCTN) copolymers with different compositions of two diacids: terephthalic acid (TPA) and 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid (NDA), and stoichiometry matched 1,4-cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM) were synthesized directly by a melt polymerization technique. Thermal properties of synthesized copolymers were measured by a differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The incorporation of either NDA or CHDM improved the glass transition temperature (Tg) of PCTN compared to poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET). Thermal degradation behaviors were analyzed using a thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Chemical structures of the obtained copolyesters were investigated by a nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (<SUP>1</SUP>H NMR). Our results showed that the thermal and optical properties (determined by UV-Vis spectrophotometer) of the PCTN copolyesters were directly dependent on the ratio of TPA and NDA. It was also found that PCTN films have superior optical, thermal, and barrier (reduced water absorption) properties than PET and poly(ethylene naphthalate) (PEN) films.
User-Customized News Service by use of Social Network Analysis on Artificial Intelligence & Bigdata

Recently, there has been an active service that provides customized news to news subscribers. In this study, we intend to design a customized news service system through Deep Learning-based Social Network Service (SNS) activity analysis, applying real news and avoiding fake news. In other words, the core of this study is the study of delivery methods and delivery devices to provide customized news services based on analysis of users, SNS activities. First of all, this research method consists of a total of five steps. In the first stage, social network service site access records are received from user terminals, and in the second stage, SNS sites are searched based on SNS site access records received to obtain user profile information and user SNS activity information. In step 3, the user's propensity is analyzed based on user profile information and SNS activity information, and in step 4, user-tailored news is selected through news search based on user propensity analysis results. Finally, in step 5, custom news is sent to the user terminal. This study will be of great help to news service providers to increase the number of news subscribers.

The online retail market continues to grow, especially in China, as e-commerce has developed rapidly in recent years in many countries. Meanwhile, the development and use of new network information technology provides consumers with various contact and experience environments for online shopping. Based on the theory of media weakness, the study began to focus consumer experience on the nature of commercial transactions. The study proposed and designed an initial measure of the consumer information evaluation index, which combines previous findings with implications. Finally, the five-dimensional B2C system was established to evaluate consumers' information experience providing information display, information interaction, information support and information personalization. We researched on evaluation index system for information experience of B2C e-commerce consumers based on samples of Chinese consumers.

This study is designed to determine how to identify misleading news articles based on natural language processing on Artificial Intelligence & Bigdata. A misleading news discrimination system and method on natural language processing is initiated according to an embodiment of this study. The natural language processing-based misleading news identification system, which monitors the misleading vocabulary database, Internet news articles, collects misleading news articles, extracts them from the titles of the collected misleading news articles, and stores them in the misleading vocabulary database. Therefore, the use of the misleading news article identification system and methods in this study does not take much time to judge because only relatively short news titles are morphed analyzed, and the use of a misleading vocabulary database provides an effect on identifying misleading articles that attract readers with exaggerated or suggestive phrases. For the aim of our study, we propose news article identification methods in natural language processing on Artificial Intelligence & Bigdata.
