피아노전공 대학생들의 진로장벽과 진로 스트레스의 관계에서 자아존중감의 매개효과

        현가람 ( Hyun¸ Kalam ) 한국피아노교수법학회 2021 음악교수법연구 Vol.22 No.1

The purpose of this study is to verify the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between career barrier and career stress of piano major college students. To that end, 179 college students majoring in piano at universities in Seoul and Gyeong-gi area were surveyed for about two weeks, and the results were analyzed. According to the analysis, career barrier, self-esteem, and career stress levels of piano major college students were all above average. The level of career barrier against unstable job environment problems was the highest in the sub-factor of career barriers. Second, the correlation between major variables showed a significant positive correlation between career barrier and career stress, and significant negative correlations between career barrier and self-esteem and between career stress and self-esteem. Third, the results of the mediated effect verification showed that the indirect effect of self-esteem is statistically significant in the career barrier's influence on career stress. This suggests that self-esteem can be an important factor in reducing career stress depending on the level of career barrier for the piano major college students also. The results of this study suggest further research and discussions on unstable occupational environment and improvement of self-esteem among piano major college students.

      • Low-Cost, High-Efficiency Conductive Papers Fabricated Using Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes, Carbon Blacks and Polyvinyl Alcohol as Conducting Agents

Kalam, Amir Abul,Bae, Joonho The Electrochemical Society 2015 ECS journal of solid state science and technology Vol.4 No.7

<P>Paper-based electronics or energy storage devices are emerging as next-generation technology. However, conducting agents for paper electrodes are prohibitively expensive at present. In this work, we demonstrate a facile and cost-effective way of converting sheets of commercial papers into high-performance conductive electrodes for supercapacitors. Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (CNTs), carbon blacks (CBs), and polyvinyl alcohol were successfully employed to fabricate conductive, flexible, bendable, disposable and foldable paper electrodes. The CNTs showed higher mass-specific capacitance (219 Fg−1), area-specific capacitance (9.8 mFcm−2), and energy density (30 Wh kg−1). Carbon blacks also demonstrated significantly large mass-specific capacitance (92 Fg−1) and area-specific capacitance (4.4 mFcm−2). This work is the first report on carbon-blacks-based paper electrodes of supercapacitors. Our method could provide a scalable way to realize paper-based electrode materials, which could find applications in next generation wearable devices.</P>

Novel application of water-dispersible polyaniline-poly(2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid) for all-solution-based electrochemical capacitors

Kalam, Amir Abul,Yoo, Joung Eun,Bae, Joonho Elsevier 2015 POLYMER TESTING -LONDON- Vol.44 No.-

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Water-dispersible and electrically conductive polyaniline-poly(2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid) (PANI-PAAMPSA) was employed for the first time to fabricate high-efficiency symmetrical supercapacitors. PANI-PAAMPSA was synthesized by the templating method, and subsequently directly processed from water to form flexible supercapacitors with 2 M H2SO4 electrolyte. The capacitive properties of PANI-PAAMPSA-based supercapacitors were further enhanced by incorporating ZnO nanowires into PANI-PAAMPSA electrodes. The all-solution-based supercapacitors with PANI-PAAMPSA/ZnO nanowires exhibited significant capacitance improvements of up to 3-fold increase compared to PANI-PAAMPSA electrodes. The enhanced capacitive characteristics of PANI-PAAMPSA/ZnO nanowires are attributed to the larger surface area and pseudo capacitance due to the nanowires. Our work thus could provide a simple and scalable route to fabricate solution-based and low-cost electrochemical energy storage devices such as supercapacitors or batteries.</P>

Nanomaterial Enhanced Polyelectrolyte Membranes for Hydrogen-Oxygen Fuel Cells

        Abdul Kalam Azad,Lakshmi Unnikrishnan,Smita Mohanty,Sanjay Kumar Nayak 한국고분자학회 2021 폴리머 Vol.45 No.1

The solid electrolyte membrane for a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell was prepared and investigated from the potential of sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK) embedded together with montmorillonite (MMT). Acid hydrophilized poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) and MMT with varying sulfonation levels of 25-70% prepared through solvent casting were investigated for their performance. The nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR) spectra at 7.5 ppm affirmed the occurrence of sulfonation reaction, and its degree was studied by both 1H NMR and titration method. The reaction time was varied to achieve sulfonation levels from 25 to 70%. The effect of incorporation of pristine and sulfonated MMT into SPEEK was examined. The membranes, prepared using solvent casting technique, were involved for water uptake over the wide range of temperature, thermal stability, and proton conductivity measurements. The cross-sectional surface arrangement of the membrane and clay dispersion was deliberated using SEM. The proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) single cell’s tests revealed that sulfonated PEEK membrane demonstrated service performance comparable to that of Nafion, as validated using MATLAB software.

Molecular cloning and sequence and 3D models analysis of the Sec61α subunit of protein translocation complex from Penicillium ochrochloron

        ( Abul Kalam Azad ),( Asraful Jahan ),( Mahbub Hasan ),( Takahiro Ishikawa ),( Yoshihiro Sawa ),( Hitoshi Shibata ) 생화학분자생물학회(구 한국생화학분자생물학회) 2011 BMB Reports Vol.44 No.11

The Sec61α subunit is the core subunit of the protein conducting channel which is required for protein translocation in eukaryotes and prokaryotes. In this study, we cloned a Sec61α subunit from Penicillium ochrochloron (PoSec61α). Sequence and 3D structural model analysis showed that PoSec61α conserved the typical characteristics of eukaryotic and prokaryotic Sec61α subunit homologues. The pore ring known as the constriction point of the channel is formed by seven hydrophobic amino acids. Two methionine residues from transmembrane α-helice 7 (TM7) contribute to the pore ring formation and projected notably to the pore area and narrowed the pore compared with the superposed residues at the corresponding positions in the crystal structures or the 3D models of the Sec61α subunit homologues in archaea or other eukaryotes, respectively. Results reported herein indicate that the pore ring residues differ among Sec61α subunit homologues and two hydrophobic residues in the TM7 contribute to the pore ring formation.
