        지방정부 신뢰에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 수도권과 비수도권 비교를 중심으로

        본 연구는 지방정부 신뢰에 영향을 미치는 요인 중 공정성과 삶의 만족도, 대인 신뢰 변수를 활용하여 영향 관계를 분석하였다. 아울러, 지방정부 신뢰 인식에 관한 영향 요인분석에 있어 지역 간(수도권과 비수도권) 차이가 존재하는지에 대한 실증 분석을 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 전체 모형에서는 중앙정부의 절차 공정성 인식을 제외한 모든 변수가 지방정부 신뢰에 유의미한 결과를 보였으며, 그중 지방정부의 절차 공정성 인식이 매우 강한 영향력을 보였다. 수도권과 비수도권 간의 차이에서는 일선 행정기관의 절차 공정성 인식과 삶의 만족도 그리고 통제변수 중 연령과 소득, 국가 경제 사정 평가 변수에서 차이를 보였다. 중앙정부의 절차 공정성 인식은 전체 모형과 마찬가지로 수도권과 비수도권 모두 지방정부 신뢰에 유의미하지 않은 결과가 나타났다. 분석을 통해, 본 연구는 다음과 같은 정책적 함의를 제시한다. 첫째, 정책과 행정서비스 시행에 있어 형평성의 가치를 좀 더 고려하여 시민의 공정성 인식을 높일 필요가 있다. 둘째, 심리적·물리적 거리에 따른 공정성 인식이 지방정부 신뢰에 영향을 미친다는 해석에 주목하여, 현재 지방자치법 전부 개정에 따른 지방정부의 자생능력을 키울 필요가 있다. 셋째, 시민과의 직접적인 교류를 통해 시민의 욕구와 기대를 충족하고, 사회 문제를 적절하게 대처할 수 있도록 주민과 소통할 수 있는 매체 활용이 필요하다. This study investigates how much the perception of fairness and life satisfaction affects local government trust in Korea. This research divides fairness into perception of fairness at the individual level and perception of fairness at the institutional level (central and local government, front-line administrative agency). In addition, we divide the region into the metropolitan area and the non-metropolitan area, and empirically examine whether there are regional differences in the perception of trust of local governments. The results reveal that the perception of fairness influences individuals’ perception of local government trust in both metropolitan and non-metropolitan areas. Unlike the non-metropolitan model, there is no relation between the fairness perception to central government trust and local government trust. Based on these results, we suggest the need for fair distribution policies and administrative services to prevent social polarization.

        초등과학영재들의 창의성 유형 분석 : Creativity Styles of Elementary Science Gifted Students

        본 연구의 목적은 TTCT 도형 검사를 통해 초등과학영재들의 창의성 유형(style)을 알아보는 것이다. 이를 위해 영재학생 206명을 대상으로 TTCT도형 검사를 실시하였으며 Kim (2006)의 이론에 의해 창의성의 2가지 유형이 나타나는지 알아보기 위해 요인분석을 실시하였다. 이를 바탕으로 지역별, 학년별, 성별에 따른 창의성 유형 비율과 창의성 유형별 성에 따른 창의성 수준 차이가 있는지를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 TTCT 도형 검사는 창의성 수준(level)뿐만 아니 라 창의성 유형 즉 적응적 유형과 혁신적 유형의 2가지로 분류할 수 있었다. 창의성 유형 비 율을 보면 지역별, 학년별, 성별에 관계없이 적응적 유형이 혁신적 유형보다 많았다. 지역별 의 경우 대도시일수록 적응적 유형이 많고 읍면지역일수록 혁신적 유형이 많았으며 학년일 경우 6학년은 적응적 유형이 많았고 5학년은 혁신적 유형이 많았다. 성별일 경우 여학생은 적응적 유형이 남학생은 혁신적 유형이 많았다. 적응적 유형일 경우 여학생이 남학생보다 유 의미하게 높았으며 혁신적 유형일 경우 유의미하지 않았지만 여학생이 남학생보다 높게 나타 나 여학생이 남학생보다 창의성 수준이 높게 나타났다. 창의성 유형 분석을 통해 개인의 강 점과 제한점을 알고 참여도를 높일 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to examine creativity styles of elementary science gifted students through the Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT). For this study, the TTCT-Figural Form A was used, with data form 206 elementary science gifted students, which included 56 urban students, 115 suburban students, and 35 rural students. Confirmatory factor analyses were conducted to examine a two-factor model of creativity styles based on Kim’s (2006). Level of creativity was analyzed on the basis of the creativity styles and the numbers of creativity styles were analyzed according to region, grade, and gender. The results are as follows: Factor innovative was loaded by fluency and originality; factor adaptive loaded by elaboration, abstractness of titles, and creative strength; and both factor innovative and factor adaptive loaded by resistance to premature closure. The percentage of adaptive styles is higher than the innovative styles. Urban had more adaptors than rural. There were more adaptors in 6th grade than 5th grade. Gifted female adaptors had significantly higher creative potential than gifted male adaptors and gifted female innovators also showed higher creative potential than gifted male innovators. Creativity styles can give more information about individuals' strengths and weakness so that do an important role in understanding characteristics of gifted students.

        Staufen1-mediated mRNA decay induces Requiem mRNA decay through binding of Staufen1 to the Requiem 3′UTR

        <P>Requiem (REQ/DPF2) was originally identified as an apoptosis-inducing protein in mouse myeloid cells and belongs to the novel Krüppel-type zinc finger d4-protein family of proteins, which includes neuro-d4 (DPF1) and cer-d4 (DPF3). Interestingly, when a portion of the REQ messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) 3′ untranslated region (3′UTR), referred to as G8, was overexpressed in K562 cells, β-globin expression was induced, suggesting that the 3′UTR of REQ mRNA plays a physiological role. Here, we present evidence that the REQ mRNA 3′UTR, along with its <I>trans</I>-acting factor, Staufen1 (STAU1), is able to reduce the level of REQ mRNA via STAU1-mediated mRNA decay (SMD). By screening a complementary deoxyribonucleic acid (cDNA) expression library with an RNA–ligand binding assay, we identified STAU1 as an interactor of the REQ mRNA 3′UTR. Specifically, we provide evidence that STAU1 binds to putative 30-nucleotide stem–loop-structured RNA sequences within the G8 region, which we term the protein binding site core; this binding triggers the degradation of REQ mRNA and thus regulates translation. Furthermore, we demonstrate that siRNA-mediated silencing of either STAU1 or UPF1 increases the abundance of cellular REQ mRNA and, consequently, the REQ protein, indicating that REQ mRNA is a target of SMD.</P>

        Multifunctional Theranostic Nanomedicine for Photoacoustic Imaging-Guided Combination Tumor Treatment

        <P>The use of small interfering RNA (siRNA) with chemotherapeutic drugs has a synergistic effect of inhibiting target genes. Furthermore, theranostics, which enables therapeutic drug delivery and provides immediate diagnosis, is also emerging as a promising technique. In line with this novel concept, we have developed an albumin-based nanomedicine capable of combination therapy (chemo-and gene therapy) and photoacoustic imaging. The multifunctional (combination therapy and photoacoustic imaging) theranostic nanomedicine contains paclitaxel (PTX), siRNA, and indocyanine green (ICG). Sulfhydryl-modified siRNA and sulfhydryl-modified human serum albumin form more stable nanoparticles mainly through the disulfide bond, unlike prevalent nanomedicines (e. g., lipid-based nanomedicine or siRNA bioconjugates). The albumin-based multifunctional nanomedicine shows double gene inhibition ability and a synergistic effect of chemoand gene therapy. Inhibition of the expression of target genes (Bcl-2, VEGF, etc.) and simultaneous treatment with PTX exhibit a synergistic effect compared to single treatment in vitro and in vivo. Furthermore, using ICG, photoacoustic imaging was very efficient. Our study demonstrates that this multifunctional theranostic nanomedicine could perform co-delivery of PTX and siRNA and yield a synergistic effect for target cells. By virtue of combination gene therapy, this the ranostic nanomedicine has great potential to cure various diseases, including cancer, and aid the prognosis of target tumor cells or tissues by photoacoustic imaging. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of the development of a multifunctional theranostic nanomedicine for combination therapy and non-invasive photoacoustic imaging.</P>

        In this study, a co-operative regenerative braking control algorithm for the HEV with an electric booster brake was proposed and its performance was evaluated. A dynamic model for the electric booster performance simulator and its performance was investigated. In addition, a dynamic model for the 6-speed AT based hybird vehicle was established to develop a performance simulator, and it was combined with the electric booster brake performance simulator. Considering the electric booster brake structure, a strategy was proposed to distribute the braking force and regenerative braking force using the electric booster brake. A co-operative regenerative braking control algorithm was proposed, wherein the regenerative torque is cut off to ensure ride comfort and maintain the braking force during downshift for braking, and then regenerative torque is controlled considering the electric booster brake response characteristic. The combined performance simulator was used to evaluate the performance of the electric booster brake and the co-operative control algorithm, and the results indicated that the desired braking force was maintained and that the deceleration change decreased.

        DN200434, an orally available inverse agonist of estrogen-related receptor γ, induces ferroptosis in sorafenib-resistant hepatocellular carcinoma

        Sorafenib, originally identified as an inhibitor of multiple oncogenic kinases, induces ferroptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cells. Several pathways that mitigate sorafenib-induced ferroptosis confer drug resistance; thus strategies that enhance ferroptosis increase sorafenib efficacy. Orphan nuclear receptor estrogen-related receptor γ (ERRγ) is upregulated in human HCC tissues and plays a role in cancer cell proliferation. The aim of this study was to determine whether inhibition of ERRγ with DN200434, an orally available inverse agonist, can overcome resistance to sorafenib through induction of ferroptosis. Sorafenib-resistant HCC cells were less sensitive to sorafenibinduced ferroptosis and showed significantly higher ERRγ levels than sorafenib-sensitive HCC cells. DN200434 induced lipid peroxidation and ferroptosis in sorafenib-resistant HCC cells. Mechanistically, DN200434 increased mitochondrial ROS generation by reducing glutathione/glutathione disulfide levels, which subsequently reduced mTOR activity and GPX4 levels. DN200434- induced amplification of the antitumor effects of sorafenib was confirmed in a tumor xenograft model. The present results indicate that DN200434 may be a novel therapeutic strategy to re-sensitize HCC cells to sorafenib. [BMB Reports 2022; 55(11): 547-552]

      • Installation and Testing of SFCLs

        <P>A 22.9 kV/630 A-class superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) was installed on a distribution line in Icheon Substation for real-grid operation. The substation is located in a semi-urban area with moderate loads. The SFCL is of hybrid type. After installation it was subjected to a series of on-site tests. Test procedures were determined by following convention in testing both superconductivity-related and not-related specifications of the SFCL. Tests performed were minimum limiting current test, temperature test, dielectric test, and impedance measurement. After successfully passing the tests, the cooling system of the SFCL was operated for more than 5 months under various load conditions to optimize the operation condition. During that period, temperatures, liquid nitrogen level, and internal pressure remained within ±0.1 K, ±0.5 cm, and ±0.5 bar range, proving stability in cooling superconducting elements. The SFCL was then energized and went into real-load operation successfully.</P>

      • 빅 데이터 분석 기법을 이용한 풍수해 복원탄력성 지표 개발 및 평가: (2) 복원탄력성 평가

        본 연구에서는 빅 데이터 분석 기법을 이용하여 풍수해 복원탄력성을 평가할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 적정 지표 선정을 위해 빅 데이터 분석 기법이 적용된 풍수해 복원탄력성 지표에 표준화 방법 및 요인분석을 적용하였고, TF-IDF (Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency)를 이용하여 각 지표별 가중치를 산정하였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 풍수해 복원탄력성 평가 방안을 이용하여 안양천 유역의 시군구별 풍수해 복원탄력성을 평가하였고, 이를 지역안전도 평가 결과와 비교 및 검토하였다. 개발된 연구 성과는 기존의 재난관리 분야에 적용이 미비하였던 빅 데이터 분석 기법의 활용 방안을 제시하였고, 기후변화로 인해 자연재난의 강도 및 빈도가 증가하고 있는 상황에서 효율적인 재난관리를 실시하기 위한 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. In this study, we proposed a method to evaluate the resilience of storm and flood using big data analysis. Standardization method and factor analysis were applied to storm and flood resilience indicators with big data analysis technique for indicator selection. And the weights for each indicator were calculated using the TF-IDF (Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency). The storm and flood resilience was evaluated municipality of city, town, and county in Anyang river basin using the storm and flood resilience evaluation method developed in this study and compared with the result of the regional safety assessment. The results of this research suggested the application methodology of big data analysis techniques which were not applied to the existing disaster management field. And it is expected that it will be used as basic data for effective disaster management in the situation where the intensity and frequency of natural disasters are increasing due to climate change.

        Skein-shaped ZnO/N-doped carbon microstructures as a high performance anode material for lithium-ion batteries

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Zinc oxide (ZnO) has significant attentions as an alternative anode material for lithium-ion batteries because of its high theoretical capacity (987 mA h g<SUP>−1</SUP>), lack of toxicity, abundance, and environmental friendliness. In particular, the theoretical capacity of ZnO is almost three times higher than that of the commercial graphite anode (about 372 mA h g<SUP>−1</SUP>) as a result of its alloying and conversion reactions with lithium ions. However, severe capacity fading and poor reaction kinetics are often caused by the low electrical conductivity, slow lithium-ion diffusion, and large volume changes of ZnO during repeated charge/discharge processes. To overcome these drawbacks, N-doped carbon-coated ZnO microstructures are synthesized through a facile hydrothermal reaction and the subsequent calcination process using citric acid and urea as carbon and nitrogen sources, respectively. The ZnO sample has a hierarchical skein-shaped morphology and exhibits a higher discharge capacity of about 1047 mA h g<SUP>−1</SUP> after 100 cycles at a 0.1 C rate in the 0.01–3.0 V voltage range, compared to those of bare ZnO and carbon-coated ZnO samples (about 42 and 341 mA h g<SUP>−1</SUP> after 100 cycles, respectively).</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Skein-shaped ZnO/NC microstructures are fabricated by a facile hydrothermal method. </LI> <LI> Citric acid and urea are used as both C and N sources and morphology controllers. </LI> <LI> The ZnO/NC exhibits the significantly improved electrochemical performances. </LI> </UL> </P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>[DISPLAY OMISSION]</P>

        Comparative Analyses of Tomato yellow leaf curl virus C4 Protein-Interacting Host Proteins in Healthy and Infected Tomato Tissues

        Tomato yellow leaf curl virus (TYLCV), a member of the genus Begomovirus, is one of the most important viruses of cultivated tomatoes worldwide, mainly causing yellowing and curling of leaves with stunting in plants. TYLCV causes severe problems in sub-tropical and tropical countries, as well as in Korea. However, the mechanism of TYLCV infection remains unclear, although the function of each viral component has been identified. TYLCV C4 codes for a small protein involved in various cellular functions, including symptom determination, gene silencing, viral movement, and induction of the plant defense response. In this study, through yeast-two hybrid screenings, we identified TYLCV C4-interacting host proteins from both healthy and symptom-exhibiting tomato tissues, to determine the role of TYLCV C4 proteins in the infection processes. Comparative analyses of 28 proteins from healthy tissues and 36 from infected tissues showing interactions with TYLCV C4 indicated that TYLCV C4 mainly interacts with host proteins involved in translation, ubiquitination, and plant defense, and most interacting proteins differed between the two tissues but belong to similar molecular functional categories. Four proteins-two ribosomal proteins, S-adenosyl-L-homocysteine hydrolase, and 14-3-3 family protein-were detected in both tissues. Furthermore, the identified proteins in symptom-exhibiting tissues showed greater involvement in plant defenses. Some are key regulators, such as receptor-like kinases and pathogenesis-related proteins, of plant defenses. Thus, TYLCV C4 may contribute to the suppression of host defense during TYLCV infection and be involved in ubiquitination for viral infection.
