        퍼지 환경하에서의 FLOW SHOP 일정계획 방법에 관한 연구

        This research shows that fuzzy set theory can be useful in modeling and solving flow shop scheduling problems with uncertain processing times and illustrates a method for solving job sequencing problem which the opinions of experts disagree in each processing time. In this study, FCDS(Fuzzified Campbell-Dudek-Smith) algorithm and FNEH(Fuzzified Nawaz-Enscope-Ham) algorithm are proposed to improve the fuzzified Branch & Bound algorithm that requires long run-time and computational complexities to find the optimal sequence. These proposed algorithms are also designed to treat opinions of experts. In this paper, Fuzzy processing times are expressed as triangular fuzzy numbers and comparison method use Lee-Li method and ranking method based on the dominance property. On the basis of the proposed method, an example is presented.

        Impact of White Matter Lesions on Depression in the Patients with Alzheimer’s Disease

        Objective-Comorbid depression is common in patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). An increase in white matter lesions (WMLs) has been associated with depression in both elderly individuals with normal cognition and patients with Alzheimer’s disease. We investigated whether the severity and location of WMLs influence the association between WMLs and comorbid depression in AD. Methods-We enrolled 93 AD patients from Seoul National University Bundang Hospital. We administered both the Mini International Neuropsychiatric Inventory (MINI) and the Korean version of the Consortium to Establish a Registry for Alzheimer’s Disease Assessment Packet (CERAD-K) clinical and neuropsychological battery. Subjects also underwent brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We diagnosed AD according to the criteria of the National Institute of Neurological and Communicative Disorders and Stroke and the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association. We diagnosed depressive disorders according to the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria, and evaluated the severity of depressive symptoms using the Korean version of the Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS-K). We quantified the WML volumes from the brain MRI using a fully automated segmentation algorithm. Results-The log of the WML volume in the frontal lobe was significantly associated with depressive disorders (odds ratio=1.905, 95% CI=1.027–3.533, p=0.041), but not with the severity of depressive symptoms as measured by the GDS-K. Conclusion-The WML volume in the frontal lobe conferred a risk of comorbid depressive disorders in AD, which implies that comorbid depression in AD may be attributed to vascular causes.

        Genome-wide association study and genomic predictions for exterior traits in Yorkshire pigs

        <P> The objectives of this study were to identify informative genomic regions that affect the exterior traits of purebred Korean Yorkshire pigs and to investigate and compare the accuracy of genomic prediction for response variables. Phenotypic data on body height (BH), body length (BL), and total teat number (TTN) from 2,432 Yorkshire pigs were used to obtain breeding values including as response variable the estimated breeding value (EBV) and 2 types of deregressed EBVsㅡone including the parent average (DEBVincPA) and the other excluding it (DEBVexcPA). A final genotype panel comprising 46,199 SNP markers was retained for analysis after quality control for common SNPs. The BayesB and BayesC methodsㅡwith various π and weighted response variables (EBV, DEBVincPA, or DEBVexcPA)ㅡwere used to estimate SNP effects, through the genome-wide association study. The significance of genomic windows (1?Mb) was obtained at 1.0% additive genetic variance and was subsequently used to identify informative genomic regions. Furthermore, SNPs with a high model frequency (≥0.90) were considered informative. The accuracy of genomic prediction was estimated using a 5-fold cross-validation with the K-means clustering method. Genomic accuracy was measured as the genomic correlation between the molecular breeding value and the individual weighted response variables (EBV, DEBVincPA, or DEBVexcPA). The number of identified informative windows (1 Mb) for BH, BL, and TTN was 4, 3, and 4, respectively. The number of significant SNPs for BH, BL, and TTN was 6, 4, and 5, respectively. Diversity π did not influence the accuracy of genomic prediction. The BayesB method showed slightly higher genomic accuracy for exterior traits than BayesC method in this study. In addition, the genomic accuracy using DEBVincPA as response variable was higher than that using other response variables. Therefore, the genomic accuracy using BayesB (π = 0.90) with DEBVinPA as a response variable was the most effective in this study. The genomic accuracy values for BH, BL, and TTN were calculated to be 0.52, 0.60, and 0.51, respectively. </P>

        L* 기반의 Assume-Guarantee Reasoning[1]은 시스템 검증 시의 상태 폭발(state explosion)을 줄이는데 크게 기여하였다. 그러나 시스템 검증에 소모되는 시간은 일반적인 모델 체킹 도구를 사용할 때보다 크게 증가시킨다. 본 논문에서는 시스템의 검증에 소모되는 시간을 줄이기 위하여 L* 기반의 Assume-Guarantee Reasoning 의 개선안을 제안하였다.

        Construction and Validation of Brain MRI Templates from a Korean Normal Elderly Population

        Objective-This study aimed to construct a Korean normal elderly brain template (KNE96) using Korean elderly individuals for use in brain MRI studies and to validate it. Methods-We used high-resolution 3.0T T1 structural MR images from 96 Korean normal elderly individuals (M/F=48/48), aged 60 years or older (M=69.5±6.2 years, F=70.1±7.0 years), for constructing the KNE96 template. The KNE96 template was validated by comparing the registration-induced deformations between the KNE96 and ICBM152 templates using different MR images from 48 Korean normal elderly individuals (M/F=24/24), aged 60 years or older (M=71.5±5.9 years, F=72.8±5.1 years). We used the magnitude of displacement vectors (mag-displacement) and log of Jacobian determinants (log-Jacobian) to quantify the deformation produced during registration process to templates. Results-The mag-displacement and log-Jacobian of the registration were much smaller using the KNE96 template than with the ICBM152 template in most brain regions. There was a prominent difference in the significant averaged differences (SADs) of the mag-displacement and log-Jacobian between the KNE96 and ICBM152 at the superior, medial, and middle frontal gyrus, the lingual, inferior, middle, and superior occipital gyrus, and the caudate and thalamus. Conclusion-This study suggests that templates constructed from Asian populations, such as the KNE96, may be more desirable than those from Caucasian populations, like the ICBM152, in computational neuroimaging studies that measure and compare anatomical features of the frontal and occipital lobe, thalamus and caudate.

        패랭이꽃 추출물의 항산화, Nitric Oxide 생성저해, 암세포 성장 및 부착 억제 활성

        본 연구에서는 패랭이꽃의 항산화 성분 함량을 측정하고 패랭이꽃 에탄올 추출물의 항산화, 항염, 항암 활성을 in vitro 수준에서 평가하고자 하였다. 패랭이꽃의 총 폴리페놀, 총 플라보노이드, 총 카로티노이드 함량은 각각 19.0 mg GAE/g, 65.7 mg QE/g, 95.0 μg/g으로 측정되었다. 패랭이꽃 추출물(1,000 μg/mL)의 DPPH radical 소거 활성은 44.1%, 철환원력은 51.1%로 같은 농도의 ascorbic acid의 활성보다는 낮았지만 의미 있는 수준의 활성을 나타내었다. 패랭이꽃 추출물은 RAW 264.7 대식세포의 NO 생성을 대조구 대비 7~23% 수준으로 억제하는 농도 의존적 활성을 나타내었고, H1299 폐암세포와 HCT116 대장암세포의 성장을 대조구 대비 각각 2~81%(48~96시간 처리 시점)와 10~80%(72시간 처리시점)로 억제하는 농도 의존적 활성 또한 나타내었다. 패랭이꽃 추출물은 암세포의 부착을 억제하는 활성이 H1299와 HCT116 세포에서 모두 나타났으나 HCT116세포에서 나타난 활성(250~1,000 μg/mL 이상의 농도 처리시 대조구 대비 26~40% 부착 수준)이 H1299 세포에서 나타난 활성(1,000 μg/mL 농도 처리 시 대조구 대비 55% 부착 수준)보다 컸다. 이상의 연구 결과를 통하여 패랭이꽃 추출물은 항산화 성분 함량 및 활성이 유의미한 수준이고 세포 수준의 항염 및 항암 활성을 가지는 것으로 생각된다. 앞으로 이와 같은 연구 결과가 in vivo 수준에서 재현되는지 여부를 검증하고 관련 기전을 탐색하는 심도 있는 연구가 필요할 것으로 생각된다. The aim of the study was to investigate the antioxidant content and activities of ethanol extract of the edible flower Dianthus chinensis L. (DCE) as well as its inhibitory activities against nitric oxide (NO) production in macrophages and growth and adhesion of human cancer cells. The total polyphenol, flavonoid, and carotenoid levels of DCE were 19.0 mg gallic acid equivalent/g, 65.7 mg quercetin equivalent/g, and 95.0 μg/g, respectively. The 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical scavenging activity and ferric reducing antioxidant power of DCE at a concentration of 1,000 μg/mL were 44% and 51%, respectively. In lipopolysaccharide-treated RAW 264.7 macrophages, treatment with DCE at concentrations of 500 and 1,000 μg/mL resulted in significantly reduced NO levels (to 7∼23% of the control). In H1299 human lung carcinoma cells and HCT116 human colorectal carcinoma cells, treatment with DCE at concentrations of 250, 500, and 1,000 μg/mL resulted in dose-dependent growth inhibition. DCE was also effective in inhibiting adhesion of both H1299 cells (to 55% of the control at concentration of 1,000 μg/mL) and HCT116 (to 26∼40% of the control at concentrations of 250, 500, and 1,000 μg/mL). These results suggest that DCE exerts antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer activities in vitro.
