Objectives : This report intended to estimate effects of Jung-an acupuncture on the acquired torticollis caused by muscle contraction. Methods : The patients were treated by Jung-an acupuncture, herb medication and Physical treatment daily. The improvement of the patients was judged by Toronto Western Spasmodic Torticollis Rating Scale(TWSTRS), Tsui's score and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS). Results : After 7 days of treatment, the 2 patients' neck pain and cervical movement were improved. Also, TWSTRS score, Tsui's score and VAS were all reduced. Conclusions : As the Jung-an acupuncture's theological base is organized with meridian theory and myofacial release therapy, We considered the Jung-an acupuncture is effective not only for the skin disease but also for the muscle problem such as torticollis.

만화 <진격의 거인>에 나타난 상징분석

본 논문은 칼 구스타브 융의 분석심리학 관점으로 만화 <진격의 거인(進?の巨人)>에 나타난 원형상징 분석을 목적으로 한다. 또한 그러한 상징들이 어떻게 수용자와 관계되어 반향을 일으키는지에 대해 조명하고자 했다. 인간의 의식과 무의식을 통합하여 자신의 전체성(Totality)을 이루는 과정을 자기실현(Self-realization)으로 정의한 융의 분석 심리학은 개성화 과정을 통한 전체적이고 통일된 인격 실현을 인격완성의 궁극적 목표로 삼았다. 그에게 무의식은 모든 인간에게 선천적이고 보편적이며 개인의 정체성과 삶에 큰 영향력을 미치는 영역이었으며, 그러한 무의식을 개인무의식(Personal Unconscious)과 집단무의식(Collective Unconscious)으로 구분하였다. 융은 의식과 무의식을 간접적으로 연결시켜주는 상징을 정신적 에너지의 요체로 정의하였다. 본 논문은 융 심리학의 상징이론을 근거로 만화 <진격의 거인>에 나타난 상징을 분석하고, 이러한 상징들이 어떻게 수용자의 반향을 일으키는 에너지로 작용하는가에 대해 논의하였다. 이에 그림자, 아니마(anima), 아니무스(animus), 페르소나(Persona), 집단무의식의 원형(archetype) 상징 등 융 심리학의 핵심 개념과 작품의 상징을 매개로 작가, 작품, 독자 사이의 연결 관계를 살펴보고, 그러한 상징이 우리의 삶에 어떤 보상적인 의미를 전달하는지 살펴보았다. 그 결과 <진격의 거인>에 나타난 인육섭식의 거인에서 굴절되고 분열된 무의식의 상징을 해석하였으며 죽음, 공포, 전쟁, 재앙 등 집단무의식의 원형상징을 읽었다. 또한 부정적 아니마와 아니무스로 상징되는 거인과, 진정한 아니마, 아니무스와 조우하려는 자기(Self)의지를 발견할 수 있었다. 3중의 성벽을 통해 인류의 신성함을 지키려는 의지와 인간 마음의 전체성을 상징하는 만다라(mandara)의 상징을 분석하였으며 병사에게선 외적 세계에 대한 관계기능으로서의 페르소나 상징을 발견하였다. 결론으로 만화 <진격의 거인>에 나타난 이러한 집단무의식의 원형상징 등이 수용자의 정신에너지와 매개되어 다양한 문화현상으로 반향되었다는 것이 본 논문의 요지다. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the archetypal-symbol in the cartoon 『Attack on Titan』 from the perspective of Carl Gustav Jung’s Analytical Psychology. In addition, this study focused on how these symbols caused resistance from people. Jung defined that people achieved self-realization through integrate their"s conscious and unconscious, and stressed the goal of complete development of personality is related to process of individuation in our life. The unconscious is universal and inherent to all human being, it affected to personal identity and high-impact areas of life. Moreover unconscious was divided into personal unconscious and collective unconscious. Most of all, he emphasized out that symbols are like the essence of spiritual energy to connect the between man"s conscious and unconscious indirectly. In this paper, I analyzed the theory of symbol from the comic『Attack on Titan』based on the Jung’s psychology. Moreover I discussed about how these symbols to produce energy which will become an echo of the people. So, through this cartoon, I studied about the relationship between the writer and the reader by Jung’s the key concepts of analytical psychology: ‘the shadow’, ‘the persona’, ‘the persona’, ‘archetype’. And I examined how these symbols deliver any compensation in our lives. fter that, I understood the eating human flesh in the『Attack on Titan』is related to fragmented unconscious. and collective unconscious refer to ‘the death’, ‘the fear’, ‘the war’, ‘the disaster’. Moreover I found out the giant in the cartoon who is symbolized negative anima and animus, and making the self-willingness which is symbolized true anima and animus. I analyzed the meaning of mandala from the three of the walls in the cartoon which showed defending the sanctity of the human race. also found out persona which is symbolized form the soldier who get the relationship with the external world. In conclusion, the focus of this paper is to see the collective unconscious of symbol of archetype from the cartoon『Attack on Titan』, and how this cartoon show the people"s energy reflect on a variety of cultural phenomena.

A Study on Effect of the Elderly Living Alone s Date upon Psychological Loneliness and Happiness

In this study, the elderly s date gave life satisfaction: Men elderly s date gave self esteem, and women elderly s date did satisfaction with the realities. This study investigated effect of the elderly s date upon psychological loneliness and happiness to give material of alternatives. These days, the elderly population rapidly increased to produce social issue and to be short of welfare policy and studies on the elderly. The elderly has lost roles in the society because of aged to give up human reason and love in accordance with traditional concept: Models and subjects had relation with the elderly s date, loneliness and happiness. The elderly s date degree had significant influence upon psychological loneliness. Hypothesis was adopted. The elderly s date degree had significant influence upon psychological loneliness (.230**) to account for 13.2% of psychological loneliness. needs of the elderly s date had influence upon psychological loneliness. Psychological loneliness mediated with the elderly s date opportunity and happiness. Hypothesis was the elderly s date has influence upon happiness. At testing of the hypothesis, the elderly s date opportunity, degree, needs and friendliness had no significant influence upon happiness.

Objectives : Psychotic Symptom Rating Scale (PSYRATS) is an assessment tool to measure the seventy of different dimen-sions of auditory hallucinations and delusions. The reliability and validity of the Korean version of PSYRATS (K-PSYRATS)were examined in Korean patients with major psychosis. Methods : The inter-rater reliability of the K-PSYRATS was determined from the videotaped interviews of the five Schizoph-renic patients. To measure validity and internal consistency reliability, the 109 patients with auditory hallucinations or delusions were assessed using the K-PSYRATS, Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) and Clinical Global Impression-Se-verity (CGI-S) scale. Results : K-PSYRATS was found to have excellent inter-rater reliability (intra-class correlation coefficient of auditory haliu-cination=0.81, P<.001, intm-class correlation coefficient ofde1usion=0.97, P<.001) and internal consistency reliability (Cron-bach's a of auditory hallucination =0.77, Cronbach's α of delusion =0.76). Significant correlation was found between K-PSY-RATS and positive syndrome subscale of PANSS and CGI. Conclusion : K-PSYRATS is a useful assessment instrument for psychotic symptoms in Korea.

Method for Protection of Single‑Line‑Ground Fault of Distribution System with DG Using Distance Relay and Directional Relay

When large scales DG are connected to the distribution system of unidirectional power currents, bi-directional power currents are formed, making it impossible to use conventional overcurrent protection methods alone to detect and isolate fault sections for ground and short-circuit faults. To solve these problems, this study proposed the method of protection against single-line-ground fault of common neutral line multi-contact local power distribution system using distance relay and directional relay. The proposed protection method was applied to the common neutral multi-ground distribution system to validate the protection against single-line-ground fault through the PSCAD/EMTDC software package and efectively detect and isolate only the zone of single-line-ground fault without malfunctions.

Preventive and Antioxidative Effects of Crude Drug Preparation(E-kong-san) on Cisplatin Induced Nephrotoxicity. Proceedings of International Symposium on East-West Medicine, Seoul. 201-211, 1999. -Nephroprotective effects of a crude drug-prearation (E-kong-san) were determined from cisplatin on rabbit kidney proximal tubule and human renal cortical cells by MTT assays and sustained glucose consumption on ciplatin-induced human renal cortical tissue. Levels of creatinine and blood ure nitrogen(BUN) in serum after administration of cisplatin(0.75mg/kg,i.p.) to E-kong-san(0.75g/kg/day,p.o.)-pretreated rats were markedly lower compared to those of cisplatin-treated rats. Moreover, the administration of E-kong-san significantly inhibited the loss of body weight of cisplatin injected rts. These findings suggest that E-kong-san on the cisplatin induced nephrotoxicity led us to investigate whether the effect of this water extract was a result of anti-oxidation. E-kong-san showed strong free radical scavenger activities on 1,1-dipheny1-2picrylhydrazil(DPPH) radical and xanthine/xanthine oxidase(XOD) generated superoxide anion radical(O2-). We further studied the effects of E-kong-san on lipid peroxidation in rat liver microsomes induced by enzymatic and nonenzymatic methods. E-kong-san exhibited significant inhibition on both ascorbic acid/Fe2+and ADP/NADPH/Fe3+ induced lipid peroxidation in rat liver microsomes. Based on these results, we suggest that-E-kong-san attenuate the cisplatin induced cytotoxicity and its mechanism can be eplained by antioxidant.

Eosinophilic gastroenteritis is a rare disorder of unknown etiology characterized by presence of gastrointestinal symptoms, eosinophilic infiltratio n of one or more parts of gastrointestinal tract without involvement of other organs and absence of parasitic infestation. The clinical presentation depends on the extents and depths of eosinophilic infiltration. Mucosal involvement may result in abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and weight loss. We report a case of eosinophilic enterocolitis in a 55-year-old female presented with abdominal pain and watery diarrhea resulting in recurrent acute renal failure.

축구선수의 Detraining과 Retraining이 혈청지질 및 호르몬농도에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of detraining and retraining on serum lipid and hormones in soccer players. Subjects were seven male high-school soccer players. V˙O_2max was determined for each subjects by administering a treadmill test(initial speed: 90m/min, grade: 5%, increasing speed per 3 min: 30m/min). Serum lipid(T-C, TG, HDL-C LDL-C) and hormones(epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormones, cortisol) were assayed pre and post detraining in 10, 20, 30 days after retraining. The repeated ANOVA was used to determine significant differences. The 0.05 level of significance was as critical level for the study. The results of the study were as follows: 1. V˙O_2max(ml/min) were 3576.3±204.2ml/min pre detraining, 3234.1±198.9 ml/min post detraining. There are significant(p<.05) difference between pre and post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, V˙O_2max(ml/min) were 3601.4±170.9 ml/min. There were significantly(p<.05) increased in retraining periods. 2. V˙O_2max(ml/kg/min) were significantly(p<.05) decreased from 62.3±2.9 ml/kg/min to 55.9±4.7 ml/kg/min in detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, V˙O_2max(ml/kg/min) were 62.4±3.4ml/kg/min, 62.7±2.3ml.kg/min, 67.3±7.2ml/kg/min respectively. There were significantly(p<.05) increased in retraining periods. 3. T-C were significantly (p<.05) increased from 166.6±8.5mg/dl to 175.3±10.3 mg/dl in detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, T-C were 160.1± 3.2mg/dl, 156.7±3.7mg/dl, 140.3±9.0mg/dl. There were significantly(p<.05) decreased in retraining periods. 4. HDL-C were 61.4±6.6mg/di pre detraining, 5.3±6.6mg/dl post detraining. There are significant(p<.05) difference between pre and post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, HDL-C were 56.9±7.1mg/dl, 56.4±9.2mg/dl, 57.7±9.1mg/dl respectively. There were no significant difference in retraining periods. 5. The hormones(epinephrine. norepinephrine, growth hormone, cortisol) were changed as same patterns. Epinephrine were 26.0±7.0[g/ml pre detraining, 24.6±3.2pg/ml post detraining. In 10, 20, 30 days after retraining, epinephrine were 26.9±5.6pg/ml, 30.6±6.2pg/ml, 29.4±5.6pg/ml respectively. There were no significant difference in retraining periods. In conclusion, HDL-C, epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone and cortisol were decreased, T-C, LDL-C and TG were increased in detraining. But HDL-C, epinephrine, norepinephrine, growth hormone and cortisol were increased, T-C, LDL-C and TG were decreased in retraining.

This study was undertaken as a literature survey to reevaluate the functionality of the health functional foods for gastrointestinal tract, in particular, dietary fibers. This study intend to furnish data which can be applied to assessment of permitted dose and description of notice, investigating literatures about functionality related to control of gastrointestinal function and establishment of intake for these dietary fibers.
