        Through advance in construction techniques, engineering progress, availability of new materials, and economic considerations, buildings are becoming taller, lighter, and more flexible. In addition, today's buildings are largely of regular geometric shape with smooth glass metal exteriors, which increase the likelihood of vortex shedding. The wind induced oscillation of the building, if not properly damped, could cause occupant discomfort and other problem. This paper will deal with installation method of viscoelastic dampers for vibration control of residual building structure. The dampers are installed on the 42th story according to the maximum relative deformation. The viscoelastic dampers consist of viscoelastic layers bonded with steel plates. And then mounted between the exterior column and the inner core, shear deformation and hence energy dissipation takes place when the structural vibration induces relative motion between the outer plate and the center plate.

      • 마우스에 있어서 Isoniazid와 Rifampicin의 免疫毒性에 대한 酒淸 및 高麗人蔘의 影響

        結核의 一般的인 藥物療法으로 利用되고 있는 Isonicotinic acid hydrazide(INAH)와 Rifampicin의 倂用投與는 結核의 治療效果를 改善시킬 수 있는 反面에 INAH와 Rifampicin의 長期 倂用投與가 肝毒性과 免疫抑制作用을 出現시킨다고 新告된 바 있다. 한편 酒精의 長期間 暴露는 肝毒性과 T-Iymphocyte機能抑制 및 體液性 免疫에 손상을 가져 온다고 알려진 바 있고 高麗人蔘은 細胞性 및 體液性 免疫 修飾作用이 있으며 特히 石油 ether 分劃은 그 作用이 强하여 細胞性 및 體液性 免疫 macrophage의 活性 등을 현저하게 亢進시킨다고 本人 等이 밝힌 바 있다. 本 硏究의 結果 INAH와 Rifampicin倂用與時 이들 藥物에 의한 免疫 毒性에 對하여 酒精 및 高麗人蔘을 倂用하였을 때 INAH와 Rifampicin은 細胞性 및 體液性 免疫을 低下시켰으며 酒精의 倂用投餘는 免疫 毒性을 增加하였으나 高麗人蔘의 倂用投與는 細胞性 및 體液性 免疫과 大食細胞의 活性을 增加시킴을 밝혔다. 1. Rifampicin and INAH exposure decreased relative spleen weight, humoral and cellular immune responses and macrophage activity. 2. Alcohol combined administration significantly increased the cellular immunotoxicity of Rifampicin and INAH. Especially, 4% alcohol combined administration significantly suppressed the cellular immune response and macrophage activity. 3. Generally, Korean giseng extracts reduced of removed the decline of humoral and cellular immune responses and macrophage activity by immunotoxicity of Rifampicin and INAH.

        Reconstruction of Rabbit Corneal Epithelium on Lyophilized Amniotic Membrane Using the Tilting Dynamic Culture Method

        <P>Abstract: </P><P>Rabbit corneal epithelium was reconstructed using tilting dynamic culture with a self-manufactured, amniotic membrane (AM) supporter and a lyophilized amniotic membrane (LAM). Rabbit corneal epithelial (RCE) cells were cultured and cryopreserved after isolation from the limbus. The second- and third-passage RCE cells were plated onto the epithelial side of the LAM of Ahn's AM supporter. Two days later, the air–liquid interface culture was maintained with third-passage RCE cells for 6 days and second-passage corneal epithelial cells for 9 days. The average viability of thawed RCE cells, assessed using trypan blue dye exclusion, was 77.42%. The reconstructed corneal epithelium was characterized by histological (hematoxylin and eosin) and immunohistochemical staining (proliferating cell nuclear antigen) for light microscopy, and by reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction, glucose assay, and transmission electron microscopy. The basal layer of the reconstructed corneal epithelium was well formed, and the epithelium was tightly constructed due to the increase in cell proliferation and differentiation caused by the tilting dynamic culture, as opposed to static culture. Tilting dynamic culture was useful for the reconstruction of the epithelium using easily damaged epithelial cells and resulted in more stratum cell layers. Moreover, cytokeratin (CK3) mRNA expression in tilting dynamic cultured third-passage RCE cells seeded onto AM was greater than in static cultured third-passage RCE cells. The morphology of the reconstructed corneal epithelium on LAM by tilting dynamic culture for 9 days resembled that of the skin epidermis. This was thought to be because the tilting dynamic culture not only accelerated the proliferation and differentiation of cells by physical or mechanical stimulation, but also ensured that the supply of medium was delivered to the basal cells more efficiently. Thus, the reconstruction of the corneal epithelium using LAM and tilting dynamic culture was considered to be a good in vitro model for autologous or allogeneic transplantation of corneal epithelium and skin epidermis in patients with damaged epithelia. </P>

        A Comparison of Lyophilized Amniotic Membrane with Cryopreserved Amniotic Membrane for the Reconstruction of Rabbit Corneal Epithelium

        Many researchers have employed cryopreserved amniotic membrane (CAM) in the treatment of a severely damaged cornea, using corneal epithelial cells cultured on an amniotic membrane (AM). In this study, two Teflon rings were made for culturing the cells on the LAM and CAM, and were then used to support the AM, which is referred to in this paper as an Ahn's AM supporter. The primary corneal epithelial cells were obtained from the limbus, using an ex-plantation method. The corneal epithelium could be reconstructed by culturing the third­passage corneal epithelial cells on the AM. A lyophilized amniotic membrane (LAM) has a higher rate of graft take, a longer shelf life, is easier to store, and safer, due to gamma irradiation, than a (AM. The corneal epithelium reconstructed on the LAM and (AM, supported by the two­Teflon rings, was similar to normal corneal epithelium. However, the advantages of the LAM over that of the (AM make the former more useful. The reconstruction model of the corneal epithelium, using AM, is considered as a good in vitro model for transplantation of cornel epithelium into patients with a severely damaged cornea.

      • Smallworld를 이용한 이동 객체 이력 관리 및 위치 예측기

        시간에 따라 객체의 위치나 크기 등의 공간 속성이 연속적으로 변하는 특징을 가진 객체를 이동 객체라고 한다. 이와 같은 이동 객체를 일반적인 데이터베이스를 이용하여 관리할 경우, 단순히 이산적인 시간으로 샘플링 된 이동 객체 정보만을 저장하여, 질의를 처리할 때 저장되지 않은 이동 객체의 과거 및 미래에 대한 위치 정보를 전혀 제공하지 못하고 저장된 정보에 대한 단순 질의만을 처리 할 수 있는 단점을 가진다. 따라서, 이 논문에서는 이와 같은 단점을 해결하기 위해 이동 객체 정보를 저장 관리하고 샘플링 되지 않은 객체의 위치는 물론 가까운 미래의 위치를 예측하는 이동 객체 이력 관리 및 위치 예측기를 구현한다. 그리고 이를 위해 보간법과 이동객체의 속도와 방향을 고려한 삼각함수를 사용한다. 구현된 이동 객체 이력 관리 및 위치 예측기는 과거의 이력 질의와 현재의 위치 질의를 제공하고, 저장된 객체의 행위 정보를 시간에 대한 함수에 활용하여 가까운 미래에 대해 대략적인 향후 위치 질의를 제공하는 특징을 가진다. Moving objects are objects that have spatial attributes, such as position and/or extent are changing object data that are sampled with discrete time are stored only, the application has a following problem. When the queries are processed. past and future positions of the moving objects except saved data are not provided and, only simple query for saved data is processed. Therefore, in this paper, we implemented the history manager and location PFedictor of moving objects which are able to save and manacle the moving obiect data, predict positions of moving objects of about near future as well as presume ones which are not sampled. To do this, we use interpolation and trigonometrical function to well as query about historical and current position

        OSS systems that are represented by the carrier preselection and number portability services con no longer be operated by themselves in their own domains since the freedom and various changes in electronic commerce require the interconnections between the heterogeneous OSS systems. However, since the cost of direct internonnections of OSS systems is so enormous we must consider the use of OSS gateways to interconnect heterogeneous OSS systems. In this research, we analyze the security weakness for interconnecting OSS systems throught gateways and suggest the security requirements for the OSS gateway.

      • 대학생의 기본 심폐소생술 교육 평가 : 간호과와 비간호과를 대상으로

        The purpose of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of CPR skills and the satisfaction of CPR Training targeted for college students. Also, this study made comparative study of nursing students and non-nursing students. The sample consisted of 248 students(132 nursing students, 116 non-nursing students). CPR Training was designed by two components which were a lecture and demonstration by one professor and individual practice 표 instructors. As tool of measurement estimation satisfaction of CPR Training questionnaires were developed based on educated contents. The accuracy of CPR skills were checked by SkillReporter CPR training manikin. Collected data were computerized and analyzed by SPSS-WIN program. The results were as follows : 1. The skills of CPR were cardiac compression 92.79 times/min, correct cardiac compression rate 90.85%, ventilation 9.93 times/min. correct ventilation rate 79.34%. 2. The mean of the accuracy of CPR skills were 2.94(SD .87). 3. When errors were analyzed, the highest item was stomach distension(51.2%) of ventilation skills and too little(70.6%) of cardiac compression skills. 4. The mean of the satisfaction of CPR training were 2.87(SD .17), the highest item of the satisfaction of CPR Training was practice. 5. We found significant statistical differences based on the accuracy and the error, non-nursing students were high in correct cardiac compression per minute(t=3.615, p=0...) and ventilation too much(t=4.292, p=.000), nursing students were high in correct ventilation rate(t=-3.885, p=.000) and cardiac compression too shallow) t=-2.842, p=.005).

        인천 인현동 호프집 화재 피해자 분석

        Purpose : This study was conducted to develop field triage, transportation, distribution, and prehospital care at a fire disaster by analyzing the victims of the fore that broke out at a bar in Incheon. Method : We analyzed the cases of the victims of a fire in Incheon in Oct. 1999. We determined the primary care hospital, the arrival time, the burn size, the outcome, and the injury type from the medical records, the concerned organ records, and interviews with concerned persons. Result : The total number of victims was 137: 56 prehospital deaths, 1 hospital death, and 80 survivals. The Pearson correlation coefficient between the burn size and the severity was -0.175. There were 121(89.6%) cases of inhalation injury, 59 (43.7%) cases of flame burns, 66 (48.9%) cases of hypoxic brain damage, and 16 (11.9%) cases involving other types of injury. Conclusion : The causes of death of the fire victims were inhalation injury and hypoxic brain damage due to CO poisoning and other toxic inhalants. We propose the use of a simple triage and rapid treatment(START) system and a reassessment the delayed category in fire disasters.

        김치유래 젖산균의 균체지방산 분석을 이용한 분류학적 연구

        표준균주를 포함한 230여개의 김치유래 젖산균에 대한 균체지방산(FAMEs)을 분석하였다. FAMEs profiles는 Euclidian Distance 17.5에 의해 7개의 Major Cluster와 1개의 Single Cluster로 나뉘어졌다. 이중 A, B, C 및 Cluster는 Leuconostoc속으로 분석되어졌고, F는 Lactobacillus속으로 분석되어졌다. 그리고 E와 G cluster는 두개의 Genus가 혼재되어 나타났으며 보충적인 연구가 필요하다. 앞으로 김치유래 젖산균의 균체지방산 분석결과를 기반으로 한 데이타베이스에 95가지 탄소원을 이용하는 수치분류학적 접근방법 및 Pyrolysis Mass Spectrometry 등의 화학적 분석 방법과 분자친화적 연구를 통한 종합적 분류정보 체계가 갖추어지면 젖산균의 신속, 정확한 동정 및 연구에 활발히 이용되어질 것이다. Two hundreds and thirty lactic acid bacteria, mostly isolated from Kimchi, including type strains were sued for analysis of cellular fatty acids. The 230 test strains were recoverd in 7 major and 1 single clusters defined a Euclidian distance of 17.5. These aggregate taxa were equivalent to the genus Leuconostoc (aggregate group A, B, C and D), and the genera Leuconostoc and Lactobacillus (aggregate group G). It is concluded as evident that FAMEs (Fatty Acid Methyl Esters) profile of cell can be used as a criterion in classification of lactic acid bacterial from kimchi. Additional comparative taxonomic studies need to be carried out on well chosen representative strains to determine the most appropriate methods of value.
