The purpose of this study in to find out how oral injection glucose effect blood-glucose and hormone. To conduct the study seven healthy male students were chosen as subject, when each subject oral injected glucose and non-injected exercise of 30minutes with 60%HRmax the comparative analysis of the progressive change in their blood-glucose and hormone is as follows: 1) When oral injected glucose and non-injected significantly of blood-glucose did not present, as compared pre-exercise with post-exercise and recovery 30minutes change presented significantly. 2) When oral injected glucose and non-injected significantly of blood-insulin did not present, as compared pre-exercise with post-exercise and recovery 30minutes change presented significantly. 3) When oral injected glucose and non-injected significantly of blood-glucagon presented as compared pre-exercise with post-exercise and recovery 30minutes change presented significantly. Therefore when oral injected glucose blood-glucose and insulin did not present change, blood-glucagon presented many change.

Myelofibrosis is characterized by excessive deposition of collagen, laminin and fibronectin within the bone marrow stroma. These change can be due to primary myeloproliferative disorders, a variety of malignant process, endocrine disturbances, or inflammatory disease. Clinical and laboratory finding are suggest in the immune process with myelofibrosis. It has been rarely reported that myelofibrosis coexisting with SLE. This is a case report of systemic lupus erythematosus coexisting with bone marrow fibrosis in a 44 years old female patient presenting with menorrhagia, syncope and palpitation. We report the case with relevant literature review. Treatment with corticosteroid in a patient with SLE and myelofibrosis remit to the clinical and hematologic abnormalities.

More and more patients suffering from hepatitis A, the number of patients representing symptoms that are uncharacteristic to hepatitis A is also increasing. There are occasions of serious complications among adult hepatitis A patients that can cause fulminant hepatitis or cirrhosis which can be fatal. A 43-year-old male was diagnosed as acute hepatitis A and was treated at a Western hospital over the course of three months, which included two months of hospitalization. However, his symptoms did not improve, so he was admitted to Oriental hospital. We prescribed Chunggan extract (CGX) four times a day. Acupuncture was performed twice a day. From the twenty-fourth day of admission, the total bilirubin fell under 10 mg/dL for the first time and next day he was discharged. Following his discharge, he consistently took CGX three times a day. 21 days after discharge all of his symptoms disappeared. This study demonstrated that traditional Korean medicine (TKM) for acute viral hepatitis with cholestatic hepatitis might be effective and safe with no adverse effects.
Anti-proliferative Effect of Coptis Chinensis Extract in Hep G2 Cells

Objectives : This study is aimed to elucidate anti-hepatoma activity of Coptis Chinensis Extract (CCE) and evaluate its effect on proliferation of human hepatoma Hep G2 cells. Methods : To identify CCE and control the quality, we performed fingerprinting by high-performance thin layer chromatography (HPTLC). To investigate effects of CCE on anti-hepatoma activity, we measured cytotoxicity against Hep G2 cells compared with treatment of paclitaxel and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). To examine the mechanism of inhibitory effect of CCE on Hep G2 cell proliferation, cell cycle distribution was evaluated using fluorescent activated cell sorter (FACS) Result : CCE showed a significant effect that arrests Hep G2 cells at the G2/M phase of the cell cycle. CCE combined with paclitaxel inhibited synergistically cell growth of Hep G2 cells. Conclusion : CCE may present anticancer effects through inhibition of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cell proliferation via G2/M arrest, and may be a useful anticancer agent for HCC.

The present study was conducted to investigate results of B. anthracis isolated from Anthrax in the Kyong-Ju of Feb. 12. 1994. 1. In biochemical feature, B. anthracis was a gram-positive rod, non-motility, sporulation, capsulation. It was positive in gelatinase, starch hydrolysis, glucose. But negative in urease, arabinose, mannitol, xylose. 2. B. anthracis grew well on BA, Br A, TSA after incubation for 24 hours. The organisim grew well on BA, Br. A, NA, TSA after incubation for 72 hours. The media grew well on Br A instead of BA. 3. On 5% blood agar by laboratory animal, β-hemolysis was produced from 36 hours to 48 hours incubation. There was perfect β-hemolysis after incubation for 48 hours. On the other side β-hemolysis was begun on 5% goat blood agar after incubation for 60 hours. 4. In the test of antimicrobial susceptibility, B. anthracis was very sensitive to AM, CF, TE, ENR, GM, AN, DFX, S, P, TYLO, N, KM, C, E, Lins+Sp, NN, CC, CFP, CB were sensitive one by one. B. anthracis was no-sensitive to L, XNL, TIA, CL, SXT. 5. B. anthracis had never sensitivity to direct inoculation of rat and chicken, after subcutanous inj. It was very sensitive to mouse and goat, hamster, guinea pig, rabbit had a sensibility one by one. 6. The dead laboratory animal which had been inoculated with B. anthracis preserved at 37℃ incubation, B. anthracis didn`t cultivate on non-dissected animal after 80 hours but cultivate on dissected animal after 360 hours. 7. The rapidly death could cause high concentration, died from 420 after S.C. 8. The blood smeared samples of hamster from inoculation with B. anthracis, spore germinated in 37℃ after 5 hours, in 32℃ after 6 hours, in room temperature after 9 hours, in -4℃ to -20℃ after 10 hours. 9. B. anthracis inoculated to laboratory animal after SC or PO. Mice and rats feces didn`t cultivated with B. anthracis after SC, but did cultivated with B. anthracis after PO. 10. In the test of disinfectant, B. anthracis was high effective to HgCl2, formalin, effect phenol, cresol, but non-effect NaOH, ethanol.
