        In this study the antimicrobial spectrum and sensitivity of a liquid formulation of enrofloxacin against the major six pathogenic bacteria isolated from the diseased poultry in Korea were evaluated in comparison with ciprfloxacin (CFX), gentamicin (GM) and penicillin (PC). A liquid form of enrofloxacin, a test material and ciprofloxacin showed at least 83% antibacterial activity against all of six test pathogenic microorganisms at the fixed concentration of 10 ㎍/㎖. Gentamicin and penicillin revealed much lower antibacterial activity at the same condition. We evaluated the liquid form of enrofloxacin as having widespread antibacterial spectrum against poultry infections. The liquid form of enrofloxacin showed potent antibacterial activity, with the MIC range being 0.12∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Gram positives, 0.06∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Gram negatives and 0.5∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Mycoplasma spp. These values were equivalent to or somewhat higher than those of ciprofloxacin, but much lower than those of gentamicn and penicillin. This new liquid form of enrofloxacin would find its way in application of mixing with drinking water for the prevention and treatment of diverse infections in chickens.

        We evaluated the efficacy of the liquid form of enrofloxacin against poultry respiratory and digestive infections, the major problems in the poultry industry, from diverse diagnosis viewpoints. Results obtained through this study were as follows: 1. The liquid form of enrofloxacin showed good acceptability to poultry owing to no abhorrence to the drug by chickens, which indicated its suitability for mixing in drinking water. 2. The application of the enrofloxacin formulation improved the productivity of the chicken farm to a great extent by lowering the death toll of chicken raised in the farm. 3. The use of the drug shortened the days to the market, and increased the body weight at the time of marketing. 4. Preventive and therapeutic effects of the liquid enrofloxacin were observed higher than ampicillin, a major antibiotic used in poultry farming. From above results, the liquid form of enrofloxacin would find its use for the prevention and treatment of digestive and respiratory infections, let alone the growth promotion and feed efficiency, especially in the chicken farming practice.

        情報通信技術 擴散이 賃金不平等의 한 原因인가?

        본고는 산업 및 사업체 수준의 자료를 이용한 Mincer류의 임금방정식 추정을 통해 산업간 혹은 사업체간 상이한 수준의 ICT 확산이 동일직능집단 내 임금불평등 확대 및 고직능-저직능노동간 임금불평등 확대에 기여하는지를 탐구하였다. 그 결과 ICT 확산속도의 차이가 부문간 임금격차 확대를 통해 동일직능 집단내 임그불평등 확대에 기여함을 알 수 있었다. 또한 ICT 확산속도의 차이가 집단간 임금불평등 확대에도 기여함을 명시적으로 확인할 수 있었다. 이상을 종합해 볼 때 기술변화속도가 급격한 시기에는 노동수요구조가 고용아정성 및 소득분배 상황을 양극화시키는 경향을 띠므로 근로자의 직업교육 및 직업경험 기회를 확대하고, 저직능근로자에 대한 사회안전망의 충실도를 제고하는 등의 정책적 배려를 강화해야 할 필요가 있다고 하겠다. This paper explores, using the traditional Mincer-type earnings equation augmented by a proxy for ICT progress, whether the differing pace of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) has an effect on both within- and between-group wage inequalities. We found that the pace of ICT progress caused the widening of both within- and between-group wage inequalities. An important policy implication of this finding is that as the forces of labor demand tend to increase wage inequalities among workers at least until the pace of ICT progress stabilizes, policy measures to provide more opportunities for training and job experience for workers and the extension of the social safety net for vulnerable workers are necessary.

      • 인공위성의 열제어를 위한 히이트파이프 방열장치의 성능해석

        본 연구는 인공위성과 같은 우주비행체 내의 폐열을 효과적으로 방출하기 위한 히이트파이프 방열장치에 대한 모델링 및 성능해석과정을 다루고 있다. 수학적 모델링은 lumped-layer 모델에 기초하였으며, 방열부 표면의 복사현상해석에는 등가주위온도를 이용하였다. 선택된 히이트파이프의 사양에서 방열부 길이, 열복사 강도, 표면의 흡수율과 방사율 등 여러가지 기본설계변수가 전방열량 및 단위 질량당 방열량에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 한편, 열부하의 크기 및 방열기 표면 성질의 변화에 따르는 히이트파이프내 각 영역의 온도분포를 고찰하였다. 본 연구의 방법으로 ATS-6의 실제 방열장치 데이터를 사용하여 성능모사를 한 결과, 알려진 실험치에 매우 근접한 방열량 및 평균작동온도를 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구의 모델과 성능해석 방법은 실제에 유용하다고 사료된다. This study deals with modeling and performance analysis of a heat pipe radiator that can be used to reject effectively the waste heat of satellites. Mathematical modeling is based on the lumped-layer model. An equivalent surrounding temperature was introduced for the analysis of thermal radiation at the radiator surface. With a chosen heat pipe geometry, the effects of various base design parameters of the system, such as condenser length, irradiation intensity, absorptivity and emissivity of the surface, on the total amount of heat transfer and on the amount of heat transfer per unit mass were investigated. Furthermore, temperature distributions in each region of the heat pipe were examined due to the change of thermal load and surface properties. A performance simulation was conducted using actual data of a heat rejection system of the ATS-6. The result agrees well with known experimental data, in the amount of heat rejection and the mean operating temperature. The model and analysis method presented herein is thus considered to be useful in practice.

        The problem which the morden enterprises have to solve is the human and material resources management, because of the shortening of the international resources and the statue of economic stagnation. This problem is conerned with detenmining what inventory level, order point and order quantity should be set in order to minimize the total inventory cost associated with producing a product under the demand fluctuation over a planning horizon. What is called classic inventory control theory does not adequately reflect the realities of a manufacturing enviroment and makes incorrect assumputions as the function of, and, the demand for, individual items which. a manufacturing inventory comprises. Therefore, material requirement planning(M R P) system has been developed as an excellent production scheduling and inventory control technique with wide availability of computers since 1960. M R P is a process of operation planning and control designed to minimize inventory level, to maximize operation efficiency and to improve service level. This paper tries to find the character of the M R P system and suggest the theoretical back-ground of its application to the firm. For the purpose of these objects, this paper compares the M R P system with the traditional inventory control technique. In order to apply and replenish the "MRP" system to the firm ; 1) Make the item level for material requirement planning schedule 2) Prescribe the level of management to use the "M R P" system and educate solving the above problems, "M R P" technique will be effectively used to solve the management problems. We must study the following problems for the use of the "M R P" system. 1) Can not solve by only past data 2) Problem of decision -making of "M R P" 3) Problem of disign of "M R P" system 4) Problem of making the bill of material 5) Problem of developing the software of "M R P"

        소아 확장성 심근증의 임상적 고찰

        A Clinical assessment of the 25 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy who were admitted to the Department of Pediatrics, Keimyung University Dong San Hospital from January, 1982 to June, 1993 was performed. The result were as follows: 1) Among 25 patients with dilated cardiomyopathy. 8(32%) were younger than 1 year of age at the time of admission. 2) Adriamycin toxicity was the only encountered etiologic factor in 1 patient. 3) On admission, hepatomegaly and tachycardia were noted in almost all patients. 4) The Chest X-rays showed cardiomegalies in all 25 patients, pulmonary vein congestions in 15(60%) and pleural effusion in 2(8%). 5) The electrocardiography showed left ventricular hypertrophy in 72% and supraventricular tachycardia in 32%. 6) The echocardiographic examination showed left ventricular dilatations in all patients and left atrial dilatations in 20(80%). 7) Of 18 patients who had followed mean period of 2.9 years, 10 patients died within 9 months after the diagnosis.

        갑천의 조류상

        본 연구는 갑천의 조류상에 관하여 2001년 9월부터 2002년 8월까지 1년간 매월 조사한 것으로 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 조사된 조류는 12목 31과 83종으로 15900개체이었고, 물새는 백로과, 오리과, 뜸부기과, 도요·물떼새과 등으로 38종이었으며, 산새는 딱따구리과, 할미새과, 지빠귀과, 휘파람새과, 박새과, 멧새과, 까마귀과 등 45종이었다. 2. 조류의 이동성에 따라 분석하면 텃새 29종(35%), 여름철새 29종(35%), 겨울철새 18종(22%), 그리고 나그네새 7종(8%)이었다. 3. 천연기념물인 새매, 황조롱이, 붉은배새매가 관찰되었다. 4. 주요 우점종은 외소리, 흰뺨검둥오리, 청둥오리, 왜가리, 까치, 쇠백로 등의 순으로 이 지역은 수면성오리류와 백로류의 서식에 적합한 서식지환경을 가지고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 5. 종수의 월별 변화는 2월(37종)과 12월(36종)에 높게 나타났으며 6월(27종)과 5월(28종)에 낮게 나타났다. 6. 개체수의 월별 변화는 12월과 1월에 높게 나타났으며 5월과 6월에 가장 낮게 나타났다. 7. 월별 종다양도지수(H')는 9월에 2.6207로 가장 높게 나타났으며 다음으로 6월과 8월에 각각 2.5466, 2.5078의 순으로 높게 나타났고 1월에 2.0716으로 가장 낮게 나타났다. This study was conducted to investigate the avifauna of Gap stream in Daejeon metropolitan city from September in 2001 to August in 2002. For the monthly change of bird community, survey was carried at study area per each month, the obtained results could be summarized as follows. 1. The observed birds were 12 orders 31 families 83 species and 15900 individuals, 38 species are water bird as Herons, Dabbling ducks, Diving ducks, Rails Sandpipers & Plovers and 45 species are land bird as Raptors, Woodpeckers, Wagtails, Thrushes, Warblers, Tits, Buntings, Crows. 2. These birds could be divided 29 residents, 29 summer visitors, 18 winter visitors, 7 passage migrants. 3. Among the birds, Chinese Sparrowhawk Accipiter soloensis, Eurasian Sparrowhawk Accipiter nisus, Kestrel Falco tinnunculus are legally protected species as natural monuments in Korea. 4. The major dominant species were Common Teal Anas crecca. Spot-billed Duck Anas poecilorhyncha, Mallard Anas platyrhynchos, Grey Heron Ardea cinerea, Magpie Pica pica, Little Egret Egretta garzetta in order, Gap stream should be appropriate habitats for dabbling ducks and herons. 5. Among the total number of 83 species, the highest number of species was 37 species in February and the lowest number of species was 27 species in June. 6. Among the total number of 15900 individuals, the highest number of individuals was 2899 individuals in December and the lowest number of individuals was 385 individuals in May. 7. Among the monthly species diversity index, the highest number of species diversity index was 2.6207 in September and the lowest number of specie diversity index was 2.0716 in January.

      • 대퇴골 전자간 골절을 동반한 고령의 환자에서 시행한 슬관절 전치환술

        Purpose: To analyze the clinical results of total knee arthroplasty In elderly patients who had arthritic knees and intertrochanteric fractures. Materials and Methods: From fan 1992 to March 1999, 27 cases of the patients with arthritic knees and associated intertrochanteric fractures were treated by total knee arthroplasties and we evaluated the patients by Knee Score of American Knee Society. Results: Flexion contracture was improved from 10.3 degree to 5.2 degree, KSS score was improved from 57.4 points to 78.6 points, authors' evaluation system score was improved from 50.3 points to 73.2 points. Conclusion: In elderly patients with arthritic knees and associated intertrochanteric fractures, total knee arthroplasty seemed to decrease the rehabilitation time and allow earl weight bearing, so provide an improvement in quality of life.

      • 광섬유 내의 산란광을 이용한 분포형 온도 센서 시스템에 관한 연구

        A distributed temperature sensor using optical fiber can monitor temperature at every point along its length. It is based on OTDR using Raman scattering, and optical fiber itself is used an sensing device. It detects weak Raman scattering intensities generated at various point along the optical fiber path. The temperature distribution is derived from the intensity of the Raman scattering light and the time between light injection and signal detection. In this paper, the principle of sensing, the system design and the results of experiments are reported.
