Scrambling has been used as a method to encrypt the transmission signal for purpose of service protection from illegal use of unauthorized subscribers in Conditional Access system. More recently it is proposed to be used in a HDTV system such as MIT-CC in order to turn ghost, correlated noise, to uncorrelated white noise. In this paper, band rotation scrambling method using a modified line rotation is proposed for the band-compressed system using QMF. And scrambling effects on conversion of ghost to white noise and service protection are studied and analyzed. As results, effects of whitening ghost and service protection by the proposed method are shown to be superior to the existing line rotation method.

DCT 부호화 영상의 비트 선택적 에러정정부호 적용

DCT coding, using energy compaction and decorrelation by transform, is proved to be efficient in the absence of channel error, but its performance degrades rapidly over noisy channel. In this paper, bit selective error correction coding technique is presented for protecting DCT coefficients over noisy channel. Since each bit transmitted in a block has different error sensitivity, bit error sensitivity is computed and analyzed for various binary codes, images and DCT block sizes. Then the bits with higher error sensitivity are selected to be protected by BCH error correction codes. As a result, without increasing transmission bits, PSNR can be improved up to 8-10dB and the image with improved quality is reconstructed.

공황장애에서 Paroxetine 치료반응을 예측할 수 있는 생물학적 지표

Objectives : Previons studies reported altered beta-adrenergic receptor (βAR) responsiveness in panic disorder, but few studies reported to see the effect of pharmacotherapy on βAR function in panic patients. This investigation examined βAR responsiveness in patients with panic disorder before and after pharmacotherapy with paroxetine. Methods : After assessment using the Anxiety Disorder Interview Schedule for DSM-FV, 27 acute panic patients whose illness duration did not exceed 1 year were assigned to 12 weeks of paroxetine treatment. Twenty seven normal control subjects with no previous history of major medical and psychiatric illnesses were matched by age, sex, exercise, and body mass index. The Hamilton rating scaIe for anxiety (HAM-A), Hamilton rating scale for depression (HAM-D), Spielberger state-trait anxiety inventory-State (STAI-S) and Trait (STAI-T), acute panic inventory (API), anxiety sensitivity index (ASI), and Beck depression index (BDI) were performed to assess clinical states in the panic patients before and after treatment. The HAM-A, HAM-D, STAI-S and STAI-T, and BDI were also performed in the normal control subjects. We measured the βAR density (Bmax), affinity (l/Kd), and sensitivity (cyclic AMP ratio of isoproterenol-stimulated cAMP to basal cAMP)in all subjects. Results : Panic patients showed much lower scores of the HAM-A, STAI-S, STAI-T, API, ASI, HAM-D, and BDI after 12 weeks ofparoxetine treatment than those before the treatment. There was no significant difference in the means of Bmax and cAMP ratio between control subjects and panic patients before and after the treatment. However, Pretreatment Kd(R²=0.314, β=-0.876, p=0.001) and Bmax (R²=0.230, β=-0.575, P=0.019) significantly accounted for API scores after the treatment and change of Bmax according to the treatment accounted for the improvement of anxiety sensitivity (R²=0.353, β=0.594, P=0.015). The pretreatment Kd value was significantly higher in the panic patients compared with that of control subjects (78.35≥26.20 vs. 59.15≥29.33, p=0.014), which was significantly reduced after the treatment (79.43≥26.83 vs. 56.38≥28.79, p=0.002). The pretreatment Kd value significantly accounted for the improvement of API scores (R²=0.316, β=0.562, p=0.029) and the decrease in trait anxiety (R²=0.246, β=-0.513, P=0.025). Conclusion : In acute panic patients, only βAR affinity was reduced before the treatment, which was contrary to our ex-pectation. Decreased ,βAR affinity was normalized after paroxetine treatment. Decreased βAR affinity and increased βAR density before the treatment predicted good treatment response in acute panic patients. Thus, βAR affinity and density could be useful biological markers that predict the treatment response of paroxetine in panic disorder.

枳實에 의한 아나필락시의 抑制效果

The effect of water extract of Poncirus trifoliata fruit (ATFE) on compound 48/80 induced anaphylaxis was studied in the rat. The following results have obtained. 1. Optimal lethal dose of compound 48/80 was 8ug/gm B.W. 2. PTFE was found to exhibit an inhibitory activity on the anaphylaxis induced by compound 48/80. 3. Administration of PTFE 60 min before or 5 min after had a better result than 10 min after anaphylaxis induced by compound 48/80. 4. PTFE also inhibited significantly the serum histamine release in anaphylaxis induced by compound 48/80 in the rat. 5. Administration of PIFE before 30 min decreased PCA reaction induced by anti DNP-IgE and DNP-HSA. This result indicates that poncirus trifoliata suppresses the anaphylaxis induced by compound 48/80 with decreasing the serum histamine release.

朝鮮後期 佛殿莊嚴의 象徵性에 관한 硏究

The Buddhism Flourishing to reach to 11 kinds of sects till Koryo Dynasty(高麗) was prone to declined to 7 at TaeJong(太宗) period, finally to Zen-doctrin 2 Sects (禪敎兩種) which disappeared, thanks to suppressing Buddhism at JungJong(定宗) period. So, it became Unified Buddhism, no sectarianized one with no sect-names, no sectary teachings. With this horrible reality, Buddhism was maintained with the forms of mountain-practicing Buddhism. It was Sungrang(僧郞) of monk-troops on Imjinwoeran(壬辰倭亂), 1592 that the suppress on Buddhism became lose somewhat, when monks were trying the rebuild or construct the damaged porporties of temples. While on the period of from late Koryo the early Chosun(麗末鮮初) technicians for reconstruction were scouted monks, by themselves did that on late Chosun Dynasty(朝鮮), covering from wood carving, stone carving, painting, making Bells, Danchung(丹靑) to petty things. In this situation, monks played toe major role in constructing. The Buddhist society focused 3 factors Zen(禪), Hwa-wom(華嚴), Chanting(念佛) on the basis of goal of Buddhism. With this result, constructers of late Koryo to early Chosun, before Imjinwoeran and those of after Imjinwoeran are quite differ in their outer-shape. So this thesis covers the research on about 50 Buddhist-alters telling the shift form Jusimpo(柱心包) matbae-roof of late Koryo to early Chosun to Dapo-Paljak-Roof(多包八作) style in late Chosun, changing in the number of Culmok(出目) below 2 to grow included. To this trend, Gondpo(공포) was carved to the shape of wave lotus(波蓮) and the shapes of Lotus, Dragon or chinese phoenix was added as the decoration. On the ceiling. Lotus Lantern style was diminishing and Lotus., Dragon, Bichonsang(飛天像), Unmun(雲紋), heavenly phoenix(極樂鳥) which represent Buddhapia were carved and added. These Kinds of changing were seen in Monsal(문살) and interior of BUddha Hall, too. In chapter Ⅲ, I tried to find the ground for these changes, In that era, the Buddhism was suffered from the restrict suppression whose reason the society. Just focused on mountain-Buddhism for with this stream, it was prevailing that they put importance on building Buddha-Halls or picture of Yongsanhoisang(靈山會相) with accordance to Hwa-om Sutra(華嚴經). In chapter Ⅳ, Firstly, They expressed endless virtue and beautifully, flower-elaborated Buddhapia. Secondly, Through the shape of heavenly phoenix, Bichonsang heavenly picture of ceiling we can see the heavenly world and Buddhapia of Yongsanhoisang, Thirdly, Through Dragon-head carved pillars of embankments they shows flowers are listening to Buddha's teaching and reached the other shore, Buddha-world already. These show the buddha-alter are the very Buddhapia, lotus-flower elaborated world. So far, we can find lots of theses of research related to constructers of National Treasures registered Buddha hall but not in those of the symbolism of them. That is the reason for existence of my thesis. even though there are things to be done and acquired more. I hope this thesis can be the first step of study more deeply about this field in coming future.

Spiral Spring Constant의 卷數 및 角變位에 따른 變化

Spiral Spring Constant does not vary when the number of spiral is infinite, which can be shown by energy method, opplied to the deformed body. In usual cases, the number of spiral is infinite and the spring constant varies according to the initial number of spiral and acting torque. This paper is focused on the numerical analysis of the deviation tendency in two cases, fixed end and hinged end. The results are as follows. 1. The scales of gauges using spiral spring should be compensated according to the result of analysis. 2. The absolute values of r₁are smaller than the ones of r and in order to limit the deviation within 0.1%, N should be equal to or larger than 6 in the fixed end case and N should be equal to or larger than 4 in the hinged end case. 3. Dividing N by 0.25 step, e.g. 4, 4.25, 4.50, 4.75, r is smallest when N=integer + 0.75 and r₁is when N=integer.
