Iridology, developed more than 100 years ago, is the diagnosis of medical conditions through noting irregularities of the pigmentation in the iris The purpose of this study is to compare interrelation between CVA, hypertension family history and cardio-renal connective tissue in Iris Constitution through iris constitution examination. The subjects consist of 114 patients who were examined in Iris Constitution at Chonju Oriental Medicine Hospital attached to Wonkwang Univ. from September. 1St. 2000 to August. 31th. 2002. 1. In the distribution of Iris Constitution, among of 79cases, There are neurogenic type 13cases, abdominal connective tissue weakness constitution 31 cases, cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution 6 cases, cholesterol 7 cases and others 22 case in control group. 2. There are familial history of CVA and hypertention 32 cases, no familial history of CVA and hypertention1 3 cases, in 35cases of experimental group. These results imply that there is meaningfulness of interrelation between cardio-renal connective tissue weakness constitution and. CVA, hypertention.

Objectives : This study aims to estimate the prevalence of the DSM-IV psychiatric disorders in Korean population using the Korean version of Composite International Diagnostic Interview (K-CIDI). Methods : Subjects were selected by taking multi-stage, cluster samples of 7,867 adult household residents, 18 to 64 years of age, in ten catchment areas. Total 78 trained interviewers administered the K-CIDI to the selected respondents, from June 1 to November30,2001. Results : Total 6,275 respondents completed the interview. Some 33.5% of respondents reported at least one lifetime disorder, 20.6% reported at least one-year disorder, and 16.7% reported at least one-month disorder. The most common lifetime disorders were alcohol abuse/dependence (17.24%), nicotine dependence/withdrawal (11.19%), specific phobia (5.16%), and major de-pressive disorder (4.25%). The lifetime prevalence of substance abuse/dependence (0.25%) and schizophrenia (0.16%) was very low. Nicotine and alcohol use disorder showed very high male/female ratio. Mood disorder and anxiety disorder were more prevalent among female than male. Conclusion : The prevalence of psychiatric disorders was high. In comparison with other studies, remarkable differences in distributions of psychiatric disorders across the areas and times were observed.

본 연구에서는 사용한 압전세라믹스의 유전특성에 대한 온도의존성과 압전가속도 센서 특성과의 상관 관계를 기술하였다. 그러고 고온에서 사용가능한 압전가속도 센서를 설계하고, 정전용량의 NTC(Nagative Temperature Coefficients)특성을 갖는 세라믹을 사용하여 온도 변화에 따른 압전세라믹의 전기적특성을 안정화시킬수 있는 방법을 제안한다. we descibed the influence of elevated temperature on dielectric properties of piezoelectric ceramics and explained the characteristics between piezoceramics and piezoelectric accelerometers. And we also designd the piezoelectric accelerometer for high temperature applications. A method of impedence stabilization is suggested, where the ceramics with negative temperature coefficients is used to stabilize the electrical impedence of the piezoelectric accelerometers.

뇌·심혈관계 질환의 업무상 재해 인정 여부에 영향을 미치는 요인

목적: 본 연구는 뇌·심혈관질환으로 요양 신청한 근로자들에게서 업무상 질병 인정 여부에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하고, 이들의 특성을 분석하여 뇌·심혈관질환 예방에 도움을 주고자 한다. 방법: 1998년과 1999년 경인지역 3개 근로복지공단에 뇌·심혈관질환으로 요양신청한 386명 가운데 분석 가능한 369명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 재해조사 복명서를 기초로 하여, 일반적특성, 재해 관련 특성 및 과거병력을 조사하였으며, 업무상 질병 인정여부에 영향을 주는 요인을 알아보기 위하여 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 생존자 96명중 전화 면접 조사가 가능했던 72명을 대상으로 직무 스트레스관련 요인을 조사하였다. 직무 스트레스는 업무요구도, 지적 결정권 및 개인적 시간의 자유도로 나누어 조사하였다. 결과: 369명 가운데 167명이 업무상 질병으로 인정받았으며, 인정 여부와 무관하게 연구대상자 가운데 62%가 한가지 이상의 뇌·심혈관계 질환의 위험요인인 질병을 갖고 있었다. 특히 고혈압은 전체 연구대상자의 53.9%에게 존재하였다. 인정 여부를 종속변수로 한 로지스틱 회구분석 결과 사망하여 요양 신청한 경우가 생존한 경우보다 요양 승인의 비차비가 26.5로 요양이 승인될 가능성이 높았다. 작업조건의 변화가 있는 경우는 6.5배, 작업장에서 발생한 경우는 4.9배, 여자는 남자보다 4배, 야간 작업이 있었던 경우는 2.9배, 근무시간 중 발생한 경우 2.5배 그리고 과거력상 뇌·심혈관계 질환 관련 병력이 없는 경우는 그렇지 않은 경우보다 1.8배 더 많은 요양 승인을 받았다. 전화 면접을 통한 직무스트레스를 조사한 결과 개인적 시간의 자유도가 낮을수록 업무상질병 인정을 더 많이 받았지만, 로지스틱 회귀 분석 결과 직무 스트레스는 업무상 질병 인정에 아무런 영향을 주지 못했다. 결론: 뇌·심혈관질환을 예방하기 위해서는 위험요인 가운데 가장 많은 비중을 차지하고 있는 고혈압을 관리하는 것이 필요하고, 업무상 질병 여부를 판단하는데 있어 보다 객관성을 유지하기 위해서는 과로나 스트레스에 좀더 큰 비중을 두어야 한다. Objectives: This study was performed to analyze the factors that affect the decision to approve workers compensation claims for cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases and to analyze the worker characteristics. Methods: Three hundred, sixty-nine cases were collected based on the workers compensation records of three Seoul and Incheon Regional centers of the Labor Welfare Corporation between 1998 and 1999. They contained the general characteristics, injury information and past medical histories. The x2-test and logistic regression were performed to investigate the factors affecting the approvals. Seventy-two survivors were surveyed by telephone for job stress. Job stress was surveyed in three parts: job demands, decision latitude and personal free time. Results: Of the cases, 167 obtained approval from the Corporation; the others did not. Regardless of approval, 62% of all subjects had more than one of the cerebral and cardiovascular risk factors. Especially, 53.9% of subjects had hypertension. Accordings to the logistic regression, the fatal cases had a higher approval rate (OR=26.4, CI=9.13-76.22). The cases with working condition change (OR=6.5, CI=3.45-12.07), accidents on worksite (OR=4.9, CI=2.39-10.07), female (OR=4.0, CI=1.21-13.3), accidents at night duty (OR=2.9, CI=.156-5.39), cases occurring on duty (OR=.25, CI=1.34-4.72) and cases without past diseases history (OR=1.8, CI=1.02-3.36) also had higher approval rates. Telephone survey found that the approval rate increased with decreasing freedom of personal time schedule. However, the logistic regression revealed that job stress didnt affect the approvals. Conclusion: To prevent cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases, the most important aspect is to control hypertension which is the most common risk factor among the victims. Moreover, job stress and over working should be considered in the just approval of the workers compensation claims.

This research investigates the turbidity and flow of river for an year, 2005, in order to examine the relation of the generation of turbidity according to the outflow of min water. For this research, the region of Jawoon river where is the area of high land vegetable growing in the upper Soyang Reservoir is selected to observe actual floating materials that generate negative nutrition and turbidity of the Reservoir water and the changes of water quality by raining of each month, In addition, the researcher has conducted statistical inspection methods, such as correlation analysis and regression analysis on strength of raining force, and rain continuance time among the elements affecting the outflow of floating materials.

염분조건에서 콩의 피해정도 또는 피해과정 등 생리적 특성과 내성 및 감수성 품종간의 반응차이를 구명하여 내염성 연구의 기초자료로 활용하고자 본 연구를 수행하였다. 감수성 및 내성 품종으로 선발된 두 품종간에 60mM의 염분처리에 따른 생장 및 상대생장율 반응, 잎의 해부학적 관찰, 광합성 및 호흡량, proline 축적 및 nitrate reductase와 peroxidase 활성 등의 반응특성을 비교한 바 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 내성품종 Lee는 무염처리에 비해 초장이 19% 감소한데 반해 감수성 품종 Jackson은 40% 감소하여 뚜렷한 차이를 보였다. 다육질의 정도는 내성품종이 무처리에 비해 58% 증가하였으나 감수성 품종은 오히려 21%가 감소하였고 감수성 품종의 생체중, 건물증, 수분함량의 감소가 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 상대생장율(RGR)과 순동화율(NAR)의 경우 내성품종은 염분처리에 의해 오히려 증가한 경향이었으나 총 건물증에 대한 엽면적 비율(LAR)과 개체생장율(CGR)은 감소하였다. 한편 감수성 품종은 조사된 모든 생장율이 감소하는 경향이 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 염분처리로 잎의 두께는 내성품종이 11% 증가한 반면 감수성 품종은 30% 정도 감소되었는데 이는 다즙질화로 인한 엽육세포의 두께 변화와 관련이 있음을 알 수 있었다. 광합성 정도는 내성품종에서 무처리와 유사하였으나 감수성 품종은 무처리에 비해 14% 감소하였고 호흡량에 있어서는 두 품종 모두 증가되어 각각 11과 8% 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며 두 품종 모두 O2생산비율보다 O2소모비율이 높게 나타났다. 염분처리에 따른 proline 축적량은 무처리에 대비하여 내성품종은 64% 증가하였으나 감수성 품종은 200% 증가하였다. Nitrate reductase의 활성은 염분처리로 인해 내성 품종이 114% 증가하는 반면 감수성 품종은 반대로 37% 감소하였으며 peroxidae 활성은 내서 및 감수성 품종 모두 각각 56, 50% 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 이상의 결과로 보아 지상부의 생육, 상대생장율, 엽육세포의 두께, 광합성 및 호흡량, proline 축적량, nitrate reductase와 peroxidase활성은 콩의 염해 및 내염성 연구에 중요한 지표가 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. Salt tolerance of soybean is highly dependent on cultivar as well as cultural condition. The objective of this study was to determine difference in parameters of physiological responses between NaCl-tolerant and NaCl-susceptible cultivars selected from a bioassay. Tolerant cultivar "Lee" and susceptible cultivar 'Jackson' soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merr.) cultivars were grown in hydroponic system and treated with NaCl solutions of 0 and 60mM, corresponding to electric conductivity of 1.2 and 7.3 dS/m, respectively, 20days after emergence. NaCl at 60mM inhibited plant lengths of tolerant and susceptible soybean cultivars by 19% and 40%, respectively. NaCl enhanced leaf succulence of tolerant cultivar by 58%. while it decreased that of susceptible cultivar by 21%. With NaCl treatment, fresh and dry weight, and water content of leaves in susceptible cultivar were more decreased than those of tolerant cultivar. Relative growth rate (RGR) and net assimilation rate (NAR) of tolerant cultivar were increased by NaCl treatment, while RGR and NAR of susceptible cultivar were clearly reduced. Total leaf thickness of tolerant soybean cultivar was significantly enhanced up to 11% by NaCl treatment due to expanding mesophyll cells. However. NaCl reduced leaf thickness of susceptible cultivar by 30 8. Photosynthesis rate of tolerant cultivar by NaCl treatment was not affected, however that of susceptible cultivar was reduced by 14% as compared to control. Respiration of both cultivars was increased up to 11 and 8%, respectively. Free-proline content of leaf by NaCl treatment was increased by 64% in the tolerant cultivar and 200% in the susceptible. respectively. NaCl of 60 mM also increased nitrate reductase and peroxidase activities of tolerant cultivar by 114% and 56%. respectively, while it reduced nitrate reductase activity of susceptible cultivar by 37%. The results suggested that the physiological data can use as parameters for salt stress or salt tolerance test to improve sensitivity in screening program.
석유 화학 공장 폐수처리를 위한 고정생물막공법의 Pilot Plant 적용

The pilot plant of biological fixed-film process(BFFP) was developed to treat the petrochemical wastewater with high organic loading rate, where a stationary biofilm was attached to net-type media(SARAN 1000D) under diffused aeration. The specific surface area of SARAN 1000D was 400 ㎡/㎥ approxirnately. The organic removal ability was tested in the pilot-scale three biological fixed-film reactors. The pilot scale reactor demonstrated more than 95% effciency in removing chemical oxygen demand(COD) at B reactor with 20% Packing ratio. The reactor also showed stable performance at the organic loading rates of 1.27~3.12 ㎏ COD/㎥/day. The effluent COD and SS concentrations of the pilot scale reactors were more unstable than those of the lab scale reactors. Based on the experimental results, the BFFP could be suitable for pre-treatment petrochemical wastewater with relatively high organic loading rate.
