Christological Character of Johannine Discipleship - Implications for Missions in Africa -

Johannine discipleship have been explored from the perspective of the various approach. However, little has been done on the relationship between discipleship and Christology, except only so far limited John 17. This article attempts to link the relationship between discipleship and Christology throughout John’s Gospel. The primary purpose is to identify the Christological character of Johannine discipleship and suggest implications to improve discipleship strategies adopted in Africa. The study discovered a bond between Christology and discipleship throughout John’s Gospel and that disciples’ self-consciousness and identity flow from their understanding of the person and work of Jesus. The study suggests that (1). African discipleship should build a relationship between Jesus and Africans. (2) The church should disciple African Christians to adopt the biblical/Christological worldview. It is expected that this study would contribute the Church in Africa in the work of discipleship.

Extratropical cyclone climatology across eastern Canada

<P><B>ABSTRACT</B></P><P>Extratropical cyclone (ETC) tracks across eastern Canada are examined by applying a Lagrangian tracking algorithm to the lower‐tropospheric relative vorticity field of reanalysis data. Both the seasonal cycle and the interannual variability of ETCs are quantified in terms of overall cyclone frequency, intensity, and regions of development and decay. We find that ETCs travelling to eastern Canada tend to develop over the Rockies, the Great Lakes and the US East Coast. The ETCs are most intense over Newfoundland and the North Atlantic Ocean, confirming previous findings. While ETCs at cities along the Atlantic coastline (e.g. St. John's) are dominated by East Coast cyclones (which are intense in winter), those inland (e.g. Toronto) track primarily from the Great Lakes. ETCs that develop over the Gulf of Mexico affect eastern Canada infrequently, but those that do tend to be intense. The interannual variability of the wintertime ETCs is influenced by the El Niño‐Southern Oscillation (ENSO). Significant ENSO‐related variability is found over most regions of southern Canada, except on the east coast. Although ETCs at Toronto are significantly modulated by ENSO, no visible changes are found at St. John's. These ENSO‐related ETC changes are mostly due to the shifts in ETC development regions, with minor changes in the travelling direction of ETCs.</P>

그리 오래 되지 않은 어느날 나는 한 작은 마을에서 많지 않은 교인들을 목회하고 있는 목사님과 대화하여 한나절을 지냈었습니다. 나는 목사님께 그의 교인들이 그가 보기에 언제 진실로 교회다왔는가, 그리고 그가 그리는 교회상에 언제 가장 근접했는가 하는 이야기들을 들려 달라고 했습니다. 목사님은 나에게 서로 돌보아 주는 공동체, 각자의 가치를 인정해 주고 잘한 일과 재능을 격려해 주는 모임에 대한 이야기를 했습니다. 나는 "그래서요?" 그래 도대체 무슨 차이가 있단 말입니까?"하고 물어보았습니다. 그는 이렇게 대답했습니다. 많은 교회들은 3년이나 혹은 그 이상 걸리는 목사의 교육에 엄청난 돈과 시간을 들입니다. 반면 평신도 교육은 그 반만큼도 중요시되지 않고 있으며 대부분의 교회에서는 어린이들의 교육에만 주로 관심을 기울이고 있습니다. 성인교육에 대한 배려는 거의 없거나, 성경이 무엇을 말하는가, 교회의 역사에 어떤 일이 일어났나, 교회는 무엇을 믿으며, 무엇이 옳고 그른가 등 기존 지식의 전수에 급급한 실정입니다. 성인들은 성경을 비판적으로 연구, 해석하며 신학적으로 사유하고 합리적이고 윤리적인 결정을 내릴 수 있는 단계에 이르렀음에도 불구하고 교회는 목회에 있어서도 절대적으로 필요한 위의 활동들을 그들이 수행할 수 있는 기회를 거의 마련하지 않고 있습니다. 더욱이 교회는 평신도들이 교회와 사회 안에서의 자기의 체험을 비판적으로 반성하고 자기의 삶에 대한 하나님의 뜻을 분별하며 자신의 신앙을 자기의 소명에 적용시키는 등의 일을 학습하는 것을 도울 준비가 되어 있지 못합니다. 교회는 어린이들의 성격을 형성시키고 성인들이 하나님의 미래를 사는 법을 배우는 일을 도울 때에 이르러서야 비로소 세상 중에서의 그리스도의 몸의 적절한 표현이 될 수 있을 것입니다.

Work function control in carbon nanosheets via chloride-based metal precursors and their applications as transparent electrodes

<P>Work function of carbon nanosheets (CNSs) is easily controlled using various chloride-based metal precursors. The metal ions in the precursors are reduced despite the simple spin coating without posttreatment due to electron transfer from the CNSs to the ions. The work function of CNSs doped with AuCl3, ZnCl2, and CoCl2 presented values of 4.91, 4.77, and 4.69 eV, respectively, which are significantly higher than pristine CNSs (4.60 eV). The reduced metal nanoparticles locally induced electronic modification of the CNSs located in the vicinity, leading to transparent conducting electrodes with high work functions and subsequently a high power conversion efficiency of similar to 2.01% for an ITO-free OPV incorporating a AuCl3-doped CNS electrode. 호텔 Computer 導入에 關한 妥當性 硏究

1. Statement of Problem The hotel industry is entering a new era. Hotels are becoming larger and more complex due to increased traffic and competition. Management demands are increasigly difficult to meet and operating costs are rising at an increasingly rapid rate. Simultaneously, guests are demanding faster and better service at a time when there is an acute shortage of trained personnel. The critical need is to improve operational efficiency and employee productivity while at the same time provide management with faster and more useful and more useful information. The challenge is large, and to meet it management and owners must rely more heavily on computer technology. The emergence of the mini-computers has brought about less expensive systems. Many hotelmen have begun to wonder of computerization could increase revenues, help solve labor cost problems and provide better guest services. Some hotelmen have already faced the question of whether or not to computerize. Others will make that decision in the next few years. The purpose of this study is to provide some criteria by which the non-computer oriented hotelmen can evaluate their needs for and the values of a computer system for their operation. 2. Methods of this study (1). Collected data on hotel computers from various hotel computer companies. (2). Gathered the related materials on hotel computers from books and periodicals. (3). Analysed and evaluated the data to familiarize the reader with the hetel applications which have been computerized. (4). Cost-Benefit Analysis was made to provide some insight into the innovative ways that the flexibilily of the hotel computer system could be utilized. 3. Conclusions of this study The benefits of a computerized hotel system can be categorized into three general groups: (1) Increased Information. The fist benfit is an increase in the prompt availability of complete and accurate information on the status of the hotel for all employers and employees who use the hotel computer system. (2). Improved Guest Service. The second benefit accruing to computerized hotels which should enhance the economic position of the hotel is the potential for improving guest service. (3). Increased Productivity and Improved Job Satisfaction. The third benefit of a computer system should be increased productivity as well as improved job satisfaction of the hotel employees. 4. Recommendations In attempting to economically justify a hotel computer system, only benefits that result in a reduction of an expense or an increase in revenue should be considered. These benefits may be tied directly to additional sales or money saved, or they may accrue because of management's increased visibility of the hotel operation. If the speed is used to advantage and the information and time savings are properly utilized, then the economics of hotel computers become important and meaningful.

There are company without voluntary nature, violation on the reason of company, violation on identification state, violations on duties to notify reasons for company, purpose and place, violation on duties to notify the party's family members and to allow the party have a chance to be notified. violation on duty to notify the party to have the right to call an attorney, violation on the time of company, violation on the place of company), and vioaltion on using force such as compulsory during the process of voluntary company in Type of Illegal Voluntary Company. It is not allowed to arrest the party in such a serious violation on voluntary company. Therefore, the violation of voluntary company is succeeded post procedures in case of arrest after voluntary company. The procedures of examination of legality for collection of the evidence on illegal voluntary company is accomplished by interrelations among ① the degrees and contents of violation on preceding procedure, ② objective factors on involvement of causal relation between collection procedures for the violation on preceding procedures and the collection, and ③ subjective factors such as illegal preceding procedures and intention of criminal investigation. In case of violation on collection procedures for the evidences, it has to decide whether the evidences are eliminated by the existence of two requisites that are a serious violation which can disregard an idea of writ and a reasonable ground that can restrain illegal investigation. In addition, it also has to decide whether the evidences are illegal and are eliminated by these two requisites even in probative value on confession of the party under illegal voluntary company.
