The present studies were carried out to elucidate the drug resistance of field isolates of Eimeria spp. to salinomycin, one of the polyether ionophorous antibiotics, and to evaluate the efficacy of salinomycin and the related anticoccidial drugs including monensin and maduramicin, during a 14 month period from May, 1984 to July, 1985. For the trial on drug resistance, a total of 116 broiler farms in 7 major broiler-producing regions, in where salinomycin has been used for more than 5 years, has subjected. Among them, 65 farms detecting over 1.0×10⁴ coccidial oocysts were selected by regions. The fecal samples were separately collected from each farm. The oocysts of Eimeria spp. were propagated and the stock suspension for artificial inoculation were prepared by regions. A group of 220 Abor Acres strain of broiler chickens, 9 day old, was divided into 4 groups, 10 in normal control group(noninfected, non-medicated group) and 70 in each of group Ⅰ(infected, non-medicated), group Ⅱ(infected, medicated with salinomycin 50ppm) and group Ⅲ(infected, medicated with salinomycin 100ppm) respectively. The basal diet for normal control group and group Ⅰ, and medicated diet for groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ were supplied ad libitum from 48 hours before the artificial oral inoculation with about 4.0×10⁴ sporulated oocysts throughout the 8th day after inoculation.
ASIP를 이용한 다중 비디오 복호화기 설계 및 최적화

본 논문은 다양한 비디오 표준의 복호화가 가능한 프로세서를 설계하고, MPEG-2, MPEG-4 및 AVS(Audio video standard)를 이용하여 프로세서의 성능을 검증하였다. 일반적으로 하드웨어 비디오 복호화기는 고속의 복호가 가능하나 설계 및 수정이 어렵다. 반면, 소프트웨어기반의 경우에는 구현이 상대적으로 수월하고 수정이 용이하나, 동작 성능이 낮아 기대하는 속도를 얻기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 두 가지 연구 설계방법의 장점을 동시에 충족시키는 방법으로 ASIP(Application specific instruction-set processor) 프로세서를 설계하였다. 또한, 비디오 복호화기의 공통 모듈을 연구하여 8개의 모듈로 나누었고, 각 모듈에 공통적으로 적용할 수 있는 다수의 멀티미디어 전용 명령어를 프로세서에 추가하였다. 비디오 복호화기를 위해 개발된 프로세서는 Synopsys 플랫폼 시뮬레이터와 FPGA 보드에서 성능을 평가하였다. 결과적으로 MPEG-2, MPEG-4 및 AVS에 적용하여 평균 37%의 복호 속도를 향상시켰다. In this paper, we present a multi-media processor which can decode multiple-format video standards. The designed processor is evaluated with optimized MPEG-2, MPEG-4, and AVS (Audio video standard). There are two approaches for developing of real-time video decoders. First, hardware-based system is much superior to a processor-based one in execution time. However, it takes long time to implement and modify hardware systems. On the contrary, the software-based video codecs can be easily implemented and flexible, however, their performance is not so good for real-time applications. In this paper, in order to exploit benefits related to two approaches, we designed a processor called ASIP(Application specific instruction-set processor) for video decoding. In our work, we extracted eight common modules from various video decoders, and added several multimedia instructions to the processor. The developed processor for video decoders is evaluated with the Synopsys platform simulator and a FPGA board. In our experiment, we can achieve about 37% time saving in total decoding time.

Oligonol is a novel catechin-rich biotechnology product. The role of oligonol in modulating intracellular signaling mechanisms was investigated with the view of demonstrating its potential chemopreventive effect and the ability to inhibit cell proliferation using the estrogen-responsive MCF-7 and the estrogen-unresponsive MDA-MB-231 human breast cancer cell lines. Cell survival assay indicated that Oligonol was cytotoxic to both cells. Oligonol triggered apoptosis as revealed by the morphological features typical of nucleus staining and the accumulation of sub-G1 peak. Treatment with 25 μg/ml Oligonol resulted in an activation of caspase-7 and up-regulation of Bad on MCF-7 cells, while the Oligonol (20 μg/ml) induced up-regulation of Bcl-2 protein in a time–response manner on MDA-MB-231 cells. ERK1/2 in both cells were inactivated after Oligonol treatment in a time-dependent manner, and also inactivated upstream MEK1/2. Oligonol triggers apoptosis in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells through the modulation of pro-apoptotic Bcl-2 family proteins and MEK/ERK signaling pathway.
조직접착제가 가토 피부창상 치유과정에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구

This experimental study was designed to investigate the wound healing process treated with fibrin adhesive in the dorsum of 12 rabbits. Fibrin adhesive which acts on the final phase of blood coagulation in wound healing process have increasingly been used and applied to the free skin grafting wounds and incisional surgical wounds to compare both convetional wound cares. In each experimental groups were sacrified at 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 14 days postoperatively and specimens have made as a usual methods. The results were as follows 1. Initial hemorrhagic coagulation was prominent in the experimental groups and degree of inflammatory cell infiltrations, however, was marked as even in each groups. 2. Early fibroblast and new capillary proliferation were incorporated intensely with wound sites in the experimental groups. 3. By applying the tissue adhesive to wound sites, the initial healing process for closing in grafting operation was faster than the incisional surgical wound.
