Diversity and Antifungal Activity of Endophytic Fungi Associated with Camellia oleifera

        ( Jinxiu Yu ),( Ying Wu ),( Zhen He ),( Mi Li ),( Kaiming Zhu ),( Bida Gao ) 한국균학회 2018 Mycobiology Vol.46 No.2

Endophytic fungi strains (n¼81) were isolated from the leaves, barks, and fruits of Camellia oleifera from Hunan province (China) to delineate their species composition and potential as biological control agents of C. oleifera anthracnose. The fungi were identified by morphological and phylogenetic analyses. Fungal colonization rates of the leaves, barks, and fruits were 58.02, 27.16, and 14.81%, respectively. The isolates were identified as 14 genera, belonging to two subdivisions, Deuteromycotina and Ascomycotina; 87.65% of all isolates belonged to Deuteromycotina. The dominant species, occurring with a high relative frequency, were Pestalotiopsis sp. (14.81%), Penicillium sp. (14.81%), and Fusarium sp. (12.35%). The Simpson’s and Shannon’s diversity indices revealed the highest species diversity in the leaves, followed by the barks and fruits. The similarity index for the leaves versus barks comparison was the highest, indicating that the number of endophytic fungal species shared by the leaves and barks was higher than barks and fruits or leaves and fruits. Based on the results of dual culture experiments, only five strains exhibited antifungal activity against C. oleifera anthracnose pathogen, with isolate ty-64 (Oidium sp.) generating the broadest inhibition zones. Our results indicate that the endophytes associated with C. oleifera could be employed as natural agents controlling C. oleifera anthracnose.

Exploring the Process of Reducing Psychological Well-Being and Testing the Influence of Variables: The Mediating Role of Job Stress and Moderated Mediation Role of Task Conflict

        주링펑,JINXIU 한국생산성학회 2023 生産性論集 Vol.37 No.2

The COVID-19 pandemic has presented significant psychological challenges for healthcare workers in healthcare facilities. In particular, medical workers have to perform various tasks such as long-term contact with infected patients and epidemic prevention work, which can impact their psychological well-being making it difficult for them to maintain a high level of well-being. According to such a background, it is worth ex-ploring which factors have negative impacts on the level of psychological well-being, and it is important to re-veal the process behind this reduced psychological well-being. Therefore, this study focused on the main ele-ments affecting medical workers’ psychological well-being, such as relationship conflict, and aimed to identify the causal relationship between relationship conflict and psychological well-being. Furthermore, this study iden-tified and demonstrated the mediating role of job stress in the relationship between relationship conflict and psychological well-being. Additionally, the moderating effect of task conflict was examined on relationship conflict and psychological well-being, and the moderated mediation effect of task conflict was also examined. We surveyed 259 medical workers from Chinese medical institutions. The results showed that relationship conflict had a positive effect on work stress among healthcare workers. However, relationship conflict did not have a significant effect on the psychological well-being of healthcare workers. Work stress had a neg-ative effect on the psychological well-being of healthcare workers. The task conflict did not significantly moderate the effect of relationship conflict on psychological well-being, and the moderated mediation effect of task conflict was not significant. 두찌아싱,JINXIU 한국생산성학회 2023 生産性論集 Vol.37 No.1

In recent years, paradoxical leadership as a new leadership style has attracted the attention of many researchers. Especially in the context of the Chinese organization pursuing change, paradoxical leadership has played an important role in dealing with different types of conflicts and contradictions, and its importance has become increasingly prominent. On this basis, this study specifically identified the role of paradoxical leadership in Chinese organizations and focused on testing this role. Generally, to verify the influence of paradoxical leadership, this study tested whether paradoxical leaders can influence the degree of members’ job engagement. The core reason for focusing on job engagement is that it is an important variable that can directly promote individual and organizational performance, and the importance of job engagement is also emphasized in China’s domestic organizations. Specifically, in order to understand more specifically the process by which paradoxical leadership affects job engagement, this study verified the mediating effect of psychological empowerment and the moderated mediation effect of perceived organizational learning culture. In order to verify hypotheses, a questionnaire survey of members engaged in Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises was conducted, with a total of 278 questionnaires collected for this study empirical analysis. In the results of the empirical analysis, paradoxical leadership showed a positive affect on members’ psychological empowerment and job engagement. In addition, a positive affect of psychological empowerment on job engagement was also found, with a partial mediation effect in the relationship between paradoxical leadership and job engagement. Moreover, in the relationship between psychological empowerment and job engagement, an perceived organizational learning culture also shows a significant moderating effect, and the moderated mediation effect of an perceived organizational learning culture is also significant. In general, this study differs from previous studies that focus on paradoxical leadership because here paradoxical leadership is studied as a key variable to improve job engagement. In addition, the present study puts forward a scheme to improve job engagement, and introduces a moderated mediation model, not just to test the moderating effect or mediation effect but to test both at the same time. Therefore, this study makes a contribution to the expansion of research related to paradoxical leadership and job engagement. Finally, based on the results here, we suggested future directions for follow-up research.

A novel method to aging state recognition of viscoelastic sandwich structures

        ZhouSuo Zhang,Jinxiu Qu,Xue Luo,Bing Li,Jinpeng Wen 국제구조공학회 2016 Steel and Composite Structures, An International J Vol.21 No.6

Viscoelastic sandwich structures (VSSs) are widely used in mechanical equipment, but in the service process, they always suffer from aging which affect the whole performance of equipment. Therefore, aging state recognition of VSSs is significant to monitor structural state and ensure the reliability of equipment. However, nonstationary vibration response signals and weak state change characteristics make this task challenging. This paper proposes a novel method for this task based on adaptive second generation wavelet packet transform (ASGWPT) and multiwavelet support vector machine (MWSVM). For obtaining sensitive feature parameters to different structural aging states, the ASGWPT, its wavelet function can adaptively match the frequency spectrum characteristics of inspected vibration response signal, is developed to process the vibration response signals for energy feature extraction. With the aim to improve the classification performance of SVM, based on the kernel method of SVM and multiwavelet theory, multiwavelet kernel functions are constructed, and then MWSVM is developed to classify the different aging states. In order to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, different aging states of a VSS are created through the hot oxygen accelerated aging of viscoelastic material. The application results show that the proposed method can accurately and automatically recognize the different structural aging states and act as a promising approach to aging state recognition of VSSs. Furthermore, the capability of ASGWPT in processing the vibration response signals for feature extraction is validated by the comparisons with conventional second generation wavelet packet transform, and the performance of MWSVM in classifying the structural aging states is validated by the comparisons with traditional wavelet support vector machine.

Hsa_circ_0129047 sponges miR-665 to attenuate lung adenocarcinoma progression by upregulating protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type B

Xiaofan Xia,Jinxiu Fan,Zhongjie Fan 대한약리학회 2023 The Korean Journal of Physiology & Pharmacology Vol.27 No.2

Compelling evidence has demonstrated the critical role of circular RNAs (circRNAs) during lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) progression. Herein, we explored a novel circRNA, circ_0129047, and detailed its mechanism of action. The expression of circ 0129047, microRNA-665 (miR-665), and protein tyrosine phosphatase receptor type B (PTPRB) in LUAD tissues and cells was determined using reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting. Cell Counting Kit- 8 and colony formation assays were conducted to detect LUAD cell proliferation, and western blotting was performed to quantify apoptosis-related proteins (Bcl- 2 and Bax). Luciferase reporter and RNA immunoprecipitation assays were used to validate the predicted interaction between miR-665 and circ_0129047 or PTPRB. A xenograft assay was used for the in vivo experiments. Circ_0129047 and PTPRB were downregulated in LUAD tissues and cells, whereas miR-665 expression was upregulated. Overexpression of circ_0129047 suppresses LUAD growth in vivo and in vitro. Circ_0129047 is the target of miR-665, and the miR-665 mimic ablated the antiproliferative and pro-apoptotic phenotypes of LUAD cells by circ_0129047 augmentation. MiR-665 targets the 3ʹUTR of PTPRB and downregulates PTPRB expression. PTPRB overexpression offsets the pro-proliferative potential of miR-665 in LUAD cells. Circ_0129047 sequestered miR-665 and upregulated PTPRB expression, thereby reducing LUAD progression, suggesting a promising approach for preventing LUAD.
