Combined transcriptomic and proteomic analysis of flubendiamide resistance in Plutella xylostella

        Li JingJing,Jin Ming‐Hui,Wang Nian‐Meng,Yu Qi‐Tong,Shang Ze‐Yu,Xue Chao‐Bin 한국곤충학회 2020 Entomological Research Vol.50 No.10

Diamondback moth (DBM), Plutella xylostella, is an important pest of crucifers worldwide. The extensive use of diamide insecticides has led to DBM resistance in the world, and this presents a serious threat to vegetable production. In the present study, transcriptomic and proteomic analyses were combined to investigate the potential flubendiamide‐resistance mechanism in DBM. The lab‐selected (Rh) and field‐collected (Rb) flubendiamide‐resistant lines of P. xylostella with resistance ratios of 1889.92‐fold and 1250.97‐fold, respectively, were used, as well as a lab‐reared flubendiamide‐susceptible line (S). Compared with the S group, the transcriptomic analysis revealed 151 upregulated and 287 downregulated gene messengers in the Rh group and 432 upregulated and 565 downregulated gene messengers in the Rb group. The most frequently enriched pathways of differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were mainly involved in metabolic pathways. Metabolism related genes, including two P450, two ABC transporters, and three trypsins, were upregulated in the Rh line. Additionally, some P450 genes, trypsin, juvenile hormone (JH), and mucin genes were also upregulated in the Rb line. In proteomic analysis comparisons with the S group, there were 78 upregulated and 90 downregulated proteins in the Rh group and 221 upregulated and 155 downregulated proteins in the Rb group. Further analyses found that three CYP and 11 CYP proteins were over‐expressed in Rh and Rb lines, respectively. Four glutathione S‐transferase (GST) and four UGTs were over‐expressed in Rb line. So, we deduced that the detoxification metabolism may be the main mechanism of flubendiamide resistance in P. xylostella.

Distortional buckling of a CFS channel section with and without stiffened flanges

        Meng-Jing Wu,Xu-hao Huang,Jue Zhu 대한기계학회 2019 JOURNAL OF MECHANICAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY Vol.33 No.6

Cold-formed steel (CFS) sections are commonly applied to modern engineering structures, such as roof truss, purlin and industrial goods rack. This study proposes an analytical model to investigate the distortional buckling behavior of CFS-lipped channel sections considering two load scenarios (i.e., axial compression and pure bending). The formulae and analytical solution for calculating the distortional buckling critical stress of CFS channel sections are derived on the basis of the total potential energy principle. The proposed model is extended to the channel section columns and beams with a stiffened flange. CUFSM and generalized beam theory (GBT) are used to conduct numerous channel section columns and beams to validate the proposed method. Results obtained from the proposed model are compared with those calculated using GBT and/or finite-strip code CUFSM. These numerical results are consistent with the model calculations for channel section with and without stiffeners.

Practicability of TTI application to yogurt quality prediction in plausible scenarios of a distribution system with temperature variations

        Jing Jing Meng,Jing Qian,정승원,이승주 한국식품과학회 2018 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.27 No.5

Yogurt has high temperature sensitivity, resulting in the temperature variations from production to consumption. Cooling capacity of cold chain facilities and product storage height are regarded as factors contributing to temperature variations in this study. To find an effective method to monitor temperature history of every yogurt product, three measurements were used: the set point of a cold chamber, a data logger, and a time–temperature integrator (TTI). The mean measured yogurt quality factor (acidity, T) of 30 samples was 92.1 T, and predicted values were 91.8 T from the set point, 93.3 T from the data logger, and 92.4 T from the TTI. In terms of individual prediction, the SSE of the TTI showed the smallest difference (5.76) followed by 81.5 of the set point and 118.9 of the data logger. Thus, the TTI showed the best performance and can be used to monitor the time–temperature history of yogurt in the cold chain system.

      • Verification Method of Real-time System Based on Refinement Relation

Jing GUO,Zhong-wei XU,Meng MEI 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Grid and Distributed Comp Vol.8 No.1

With the continuous increase in the size and complexity of a real-time computer system, the use of formal verification methods in software development is also on the rise. The traditional formal verification method is not fully applicable to the development of actual system life cycle. Therefore, this paper presents a new real-time system verification method, It takes the deadlock timed Büchi automata as the medium, and translates the timed temporal logic into timed communicating sequential process language. The tock event is also joined, which can be directly used for the detection of refinement tool FDR. The method verifies the situation of deadlock. To establish the link between the conventional model checking and refinement model checking can well combine the advantages of both and improves system security and reliability.

A MobileNet-SSD Model with FPN for Waste Detection

        Meng Jing,Jiang Ping,Wang Jianmin,Wang Kai 대한전기학회 2022 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.17 No.2

Over the past few years, as environmental problems have been progressively deteriorating, waste classifi cation has also become a research hotspot. As an algorithm with better detection accuracy and speed, SSD (Single Shot MultiBox Detector) has made great progress in many aspects. However, it can’t achieve a good detection eff ect for small objects because it does not make full use of high-level semantic information. In this paper, we propose a MobileNet-SSD model with FPN to solve the problem of waste detection, which can reduce parameters, narrow internal space and improve performance for small objects compared with SSD model. Besides, Focal Loss is adopted to reduce the imbalance between foreground and background samples to enhance detector eff ect. To verify the eff ectiveness of the approach proposed here, a dataset for waste detection is collected and annotated. As revealed from the experimental results, the mAP of our method is 93.63% and the speed is 102 FPS, which can beat other methods.

A hemoglobin-based oxygen-carrying biomimetic nanosystem for enhanced chemo-phototherapy and hypoxia alleviation of hepatocellular carcinoma

        Jing-Qing Le,Fang Yang,Xun-Huan Song,Ke-Ke Feng,Ling-Wu Tong,Meng-Die Yin,Wen-Zhong Zhang,Ying-Qi Lin,Hui Wu,Jing-Wei Shao 한국공업화학회 2023 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.123 No.-

Tumor microenvironment is characterized by low pH, high reactive oxygen species and hypoxia, whichprovides a suitable environment for cancer growth. The hypoxia not only elevates tumor angiogenesisand metastasis, but also is responsible for the development of treatment resistance, which graduallybecomes a significant impediment for cancer therapy. Therefore, we developed a biomimetic nanosystemcontaining hemoglobin extracted from red blood cells, chemotherapy drug sorafenib, sensitizer ursolicacid and photosensitizer indocyanine green for enhanced chemo-photo combination therapy of hepatocellularcarcinoma, which could not only enhance the chemotherapy effect of sorafenib bowing to thesensitizing effect of ursolic acid, but also achieved synergetic phototherapy in virtue of indocyaninegreen. Besides, the nanoparticles could effectively delivery exogenous oxygen to tumor site and amelioratethe tumor hypoxic environment with the assistance of hemoglobin. The dual-sensitization drugdelivery system was expected to effectively reduce the resistance of traditional treatment methodsagainst tumor hypoxia, providing a novel prospect for the synergistic hepatocellular carcinomatreatment.

      • Compressed Sensing With a Gaussian Scale Mixture Model for Limited View Photoacoustic Computed Tomography In Vivo

        Meng, Jing,Liu, Chengbo,Kim, Jeesu,Kim, Chulhong,Song, Liang SAGE Publications 2018 Technology in cancer research & treatment Vol.17 No.-

Photoacoustic computed tomography using an ultrasonic array is an attractive noninvasive imaging modality for many biomedical applications. However, the potentially long data acquisition time of array-based photoacoustic computed tomography—usually due to the required time-multiplexing for multiple laser pulses—decreases its applicability for rapid disease diagnoses and the successive monitoring of physiological functions. Compressed sensing is used to improve the imaging speed of photoacoustic computed tomography by decreasing the amount of acquired data; however, the imaging quality can be limited when fewer measurements are used, as traditional compressed sensing considers only the sparsity of the signals in the imaging process. In this work, an advanced compressed sensing reconstruction framework with a Wiener linear estimation-based Gaussian scale mixture model was developed for limited view photoacoustic computed tomography. In this method, the structure dependencies of signals in the wavelet domain were incorporated into the imaging framework through the Gaussian scale mixture model, and an operator based on the Wiener linear estimation was designed to filter the reconstruction artifacts. Phantom and human forearm imaging were performed to verify the developed method. The results demonstrated that compressed sensing with a Wiener linear estimation-based Gaussian scale mixture model more effectively suppressed the reconstruction artifacts of sparse-sampling photoacoustic computed tomography and recovered photoacoustic images with a higher contrast-to-noise ratio and edge resolution than the traditional compressed sensing method. This work may promote the development of low-cost photoacoustic computed tomography techniques with rapid data acquisition and enhance the performance of photoacoustic computed tomography in various biomedical studies.

        Jing Luo,Zhaoxia Shi,Jiefeng Meng,Feng Li,Taohai Li,Meng Zhang,Rossella Greco,Wei Cao 한국공업화학회 2023 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.124 No.-

Construction of heterojunctions is conventionally regarded as the prevailing technique to enhance solardrivenphotocatalytic water splitting and photodegradation of pollutants. Herein, we report a noveldesign of a ternary Bi2O3/Bi/ZnIn2S4 system, which was facilely synthesized to satisfy these stringent criteriafor sunlight photocatalytic removal of organic and ionic pollutants and hydrogen evolution. Bi2O3/Bi/ZnIn2S4 could degrade 2,4-dinitrophenol (94.6%), tetracycline (96.5%), and Cr6+ (96.3%) effectivelyunder visible light and give a hydrogen production rate of 482.5 lmolg1h1 under visible light. Based on first-principles calculations and electrochemical results, our system could be identified as aZ-scheme. Photocorrosion of the sulfide is prohibited while the catalytic capabilities are simultaneouslybenefited due to lowered bandgap in light harvesting, internal electric fields in charge separations, andsurface plasmonic resonance enhanced electron boost.

Bond-slip Constitutive Relation between BFRP Bar and Basalt Fiber Recycled-aggregate Concrete

        Wen-jing Meng,Hua-xin Liu,Gen-jin Liu,Xiang-qing Kong,Xue-zhi Wang 대한토목학회 2016 KSCE JOURNAL OF CIVIL ENGINEERING Vol.20 No.5

In order to investigate the bond stress-slip constitutive relation between BFRP bar and basalt fiber recycled-aggregate concrete, 81 central pullout specimens were tested. Basalt fiber volume percent, fiber length and concrete strength grade were considered to be experimental variables to obtain the bond stress-slip curves. The results showed that adding basalt fiber into recycled-aggregate concrete will reduce the bond stress between BFRP bar and recycled-aggregate concrete but enhance the ductility of bond property; the bond stress increases with the increasing of fiber length and concrete strength grade. The bond stress-slip constitutive model was proposed and the results showed that the model is good in effect of fitting. The constitutive model can reflect the bonding mechanism between BFRP bar and basalt fiber concrete well, it also can provide reference for theoretical analysis and engineering applications of the bond and anchor property between BFRP bars strengthened recycled concrete.
