When reinforced concrete structures have a horizontal load, the strength capacity of the structure is not perfect. And when it is damaged by an earthquake load, it's weakness is more serious. Consequently if the structure is to be reused it reqires repair or restrengthening. This study investigates the structural capacity obtained in the repair-restrengthening of beams under static loads and beam-column joints under dynamic loads in reinforced concrete structures made with the repair-restrengthening method. Accordingly, a total of 18 tests were conducted and results obtained in tests which included test joints of beam-column. The results obtained were then compared and analyzed for hysteretic behavior, maximum stiffness, destruction, shearing transformation, energy dispersion capacity, structural capacity and problems of repair-restrengthening. The conclusions were as follows: The experimental variable which showed the most excellent reinforcement properties was the test in which carbon fiber laminate was attached with Super Found and it demonstrated the highest strength value. While cracks in the test objects under static loads were distributed widely across more concentrated at the joints of the beam-columns. Accordingly the development of repair-restrengthening materials and adhesives that do not show brittle fractures and that have ductile behavior characteristics should be promoted when dynamic load characteristics as occur in earthquakes are a factor to be considered.
A Note on Renewal Reward Process with Fuzzy Rewards

In recently, Popova and Wu(1999) proved a theorem which presents the long-run average fuzzy reward per unit time. In this note, we improve this result. Indeed we will show uniform convergence of a renewal reward processes with respect to the level α modeled as a fuzzy random variables.

In this paper, the analysis of data processing method and the amount of computation in the whole geometry processing are described step by step. Floating-point ALU design is based on the characteristics of geometry processing operation. The performance of the devised ALU fitting with the geometry processing operation is analyzed by simulation after the description of the proposed ALU and geometry processor. The ALU designed in the paper can perform three types of floating-point operations simultaneously-addition/subtraction, multiplication, and division. As a result, 23.5% of performance improvement is achieved by that floating-point ALU for the whole geometry processing and another 23% of performance gain with adding area-performance efficient SRT divisor in the floating-point division and square root operation.

초정 Mg₂Si와 미세한 MsZn₂석출상을 갖는 고강도 내마모 Al합금을 개발하기 위하여 Al-12wt%Mg-5.5wt%Zn합금에 0-5wt%까지 Si을 첨가 시켰으며, 미세조직 및 기계적 성진에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. Si의 함량이 증가함에 따라 형성되는 Mg₂Si상의 양이 증가하였으며, 동시에 고상선 온도가 점차적으로 증가함에 따라 효과적인 열처리가 가능해지는 것을 관찰한 수 있었다. 5wt%Si이 첨가된 합금의 경우 적절한 열처리를 통해 미세한 MgZn₂ 석출상이 기지에 균일하게 분포한 미세조직을 얻을 수 있었고 이를 통해 인장강도를 현저하게 증가시킬 수 있었다. 또한 Si이 첨가된 Al-Mg-Zn합금은 유동도 및 열간 균열저항성과 같은 주조성면에서도 다른 고강도 Al합금에 비하여 월등히 우수한 것으로 나타났다. Applicability and Safety of in Vitro Skin Expansion Using a Skin Bioreactor: A Clinical Trial

Background Tissue expansion is an effective and valuable technique for the reconstruction of large skin lesions and scars. This study aimed to evaluate the applicability and safety of a newly designed skin expanding bioreactor system for maximizing the graft area and minimizing the donor site area. Methods A computer-controlled biaxial skin bioreactor system was used to expand skin in two directions while the culture media was changed daily. The aim was to achieve an expansion speed that enabled the skin to reach twice its original area in two weeks or less. Skin expansion and subsequent grafting were performed for 10 patients, and each patient was followed for 6 months postoperatively for clinical evaluation. Scar evaluation was performed through visual assessment and by using photos. Results The average skin expansion rate was $10.54%{\pm}6.25%$; take rate, $88.89%{\pm}11.39%$; and contraction rate, $4.2%{\pm}2.28%$ after 6 months. Evaluation of the donor and recipient sites by medical specialists resulted in an average score of 3.5 (out of a potential maximum of 5) at 3 months, and 3.9 at 6 months. The average score for patient satisfaction of the donor site was 6.2 (out of a potential maximum of 10), and an average score of 5.2 was noted for the recipient site. Histological examination performed before and after the skin expansion revealed an increase in porosity of the dermal layer. Conclusions This study confirmed the safety and applicability of the in vitro skin bioreactor, and further studies are needed to develop methods for increasing the skin expansion rate.

Due to the elonagation of human life span and the change in family composition, old people's problem in being a social problem. Especially problem of old people's dwelling is getting serious. Present dwelling institutions for old people has a function of primitive accomodation and even more these need improvement in quality and in quantity. In this research, after examining the planning guides, we compared them with the actual conditions investigated. As a result, there found great gaps between them except for the floor and the stair space. Only 32% of items composed satisfied the requirements. Therefore the research and investigation of welfare dewelling for old people must be encouraged and the future plan should apply these research result.

본 논문에서는 컴퓨터를 교육에 이용하는 CAI 시스템에 인공지능을 활용한 ICAI 시스템의 일반적인 구조와 특성을 살펴보고 기존의 ICAI 시스템의 문제점을 검토하여 그 문제점을 극복하기 위한 개념적 모델인 교육변응모델을 제시한다. 또한, 교육용 컴퓨터 프로그램인 Courseware를 저작하는데 필요한 저작도구의 발달과 분류 및 저작기술, 저작접근방법에 대해 연구, 검토한다.
Surgical correction for Tessier number 7 craniofacial cleft using a medially overcorrected design

Background Various surgical techniques have been used to correct Tessier number 7 craniofacial cleft, which involves macrostomia, ear deformity, and hemifacial microsomia. To achieve symmetrical and satisfactory results in patients with macrostomia, the authors performed a 1-mm medial overcorrection on the cleft side and evaluated the results of this procedure. Methods A retrospective medical record review of patients diagnosed with Tessier number 7 craniofacial cleft from March 1999 to February 2017 was performed. Using clinical photographs, outpatient clinic records, and operative records, information was recorded regarding concurrent congenital anomalies, postoperative complications, and follow-up. Using Photoshop CS2, the length of both sides of the lip was compared. The ratio of these lengths was calculated to evaluate lip symmetry. Results Of the patients treated at the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Kyungpook National University Chilgok Hospital, 11 (male-to-female sex ratio, 7:4) were diagnosed with Tessier number 7 craniofacial cleft. Concurrent congenital anomalies included skin tag, hemifacial microsomia, and cleft palate. The mean duration of follow-up was $78.273{\pm}72.219$ months and the mean ratio of the lengths of both sides of the lip was $1.048{\pm}0.071$. Scar widening occurred as a postoperative complication in some patients. No cases of wound infection, bleeding, or wound dehiscence occurred. Conclusions For the successful correction of macrostomia, plastic surgeons should consider both functional and aesthetic problems of the lip. Adequate repair of the orbicularis oris muscle, skin closure with Z-plasty, and medial overcorrection of the neo-oral commissure led to good results in our patients.
