      • 6차와 개편된 7차 교육과정 중학교 과학 교과서 생물영역에 대한 비교 분석

        The purpose of this study is to compare and analyze the biology area of the 6th and the revised 7th curriculum in the middle school The 6th curriculum emphasized the research activities. It also gave emphasis on the biological materials in our surroundings, field studies, open questions and various applications and the participation in scientific events, while the new curriculum points on the ability to group either between classes or within classes. In―depth and supplementary differentiated curriculum in the 7th curriculum makes "level―based differentiated curriculum" possible and stresses the synthetic research activities, which deal with fundamental notions and the research processes. Looking into the degree of emphasis for each scientific area, the new textbooks have 12 chapters, but the old textbooks have 4 chapters. The allotment of each scientific area is almost same in the new textbooks, through matter (22.7%) takes up less pages than other areas. In the old textbooks, the number of pages allotted for biological subjects is 28.4% and takes up more pages than other areas. The content dealing with biological area comprises 67.5 pages of the new textbooks and 77 pages of the old textbook. The items analyzing constituents for the research activities appear in the new textbooks. These constituents are planning observing and assuming, investigating, reading and building ideas. The common experiments in both textbooks are 22 in the new textbooks, and 11 in the old textbooks.

      • Sports가 노화에 따른 면역계에 미치는 영향

        인간의 면역 기능은 나이가 들어감에 따라 상대적인 면역결핍과 조절되지 않는 면역상태에서 점차 약화되어간다. T세포는 특히 공급과 기능에서 큰 차이를 보이며 B세포의 항체생성 능력도 가령에 따라 약해진다. 격렬한 운동에서의 젊은이와 노인의 면역반응을 비교한 연구는 거의 없다. 격렬한 운동은 말초혈액에서 많은 면역반응을 유발한다. 노인의 장시간 중강도 운동은 안정시 NK세포활동을 향상시킨다. 면역상태의 종단적인 비교는 규칙적인 신체활동이 NK세포활동을 향상시키며 가령에 따른 T세포의 약화에도 긍정적인 면을 보인다. 미래의 연구는 장시간의 운동으로 인한 면역기능의 향상이 전염, 악성, 자동면역 장애에 어떤 이익을 가져오는지를 파악하는 것이며 면역기능의 가령에 따른 약화나 예방에 대한 효율적인 방법은 임상적, 대중적 건강 측면에서 심각하게 고려하여야 한다. Human immune function undergoes adverse changes with aging, including development of a relative immune deficiency and on immune dysregulated state. The T cells show the largest a age-related differences in distribution and function. The antibody production capacity of B cells also shows an age-related decline. Only a few studies have compared the immune response of young and older individuals to acute exercise. Acute bouts of exercise modulate many immune parameters as seen in peripheral blood. With regard to NK cell activity, a single bout of moderate sports seems to be well tolerated by the elderly, and the resting NK cell activity of elderly subjects seems to increase with training. Cross-sectional comparisons of immune status imply that habitual physical activity may enhance NK cell activity and check certain aspects of the age-related decline in T cell function. Future studies are required to clarify whether such long-term exercise and resulting improvements of immune function give rise to any beneficial effects on infections, malignancies, and autoimmune disorders. An effective method for preventing or age-related decline in immune function would have considerable impact on clinical and public health.

      • 휘발성유기화합물 제거를 위한 생물공정기에서 분리한 톨루엔 분해 세균

        We isolated a toluene degrading bacterium from the bioactive foam reactor(BFR) which designed to remove volatile organic compounds(VOCs) from the contaminated air. In order tofind the taxonomic and phylogenetic relationship with known bacteria, the partial sequence of 16S ribosomal DNA gene was analyzed. The isolated bacterium was classified as Pseudomonas sp. based on the close relationship to bacteria belonging to this genus. From the sequence, we designed the appropriate DNA probe which will be useful to detect this bacterium with the molecular methods such as FISH. The isolated bacterium and designed probe will be helpful to optimize the operating conditions and to improve the efficiency of BFR in detoxification of VOCs.

      • 남·여 레슬링 선수들의 비 시즌 동계훈련이 무산소성 파워 및 혈중 젖산과 암모니아농도에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of an 8wk winter training program on body composition, anaerobic power and blood fatigue components. To examine this question, 6 males and 6 females amateur athletic wrestlers were randomly assigned to supervised an 8wk winter training program. Lactate, amonia concentration was measured before and wingate anaerobic test after 4wk to 8wk exercise program. Body composition was determined from electric impedance absorptiometry, wingate anaerobic test from a Lode wingate test to 30" . Results showed that body composition just changed in male, but muscle mass did not change in female. Male and female amateur athletic wrestlers increased anaerobic peak power and mean power all. Blood lactate and ammonia concentration decreased when measured 4wk into 8wk to the training program, but female amateur athletic wrestlers increased it. These results suggest that winter training program for amateur athletic wrestlers should be alter body composition, anaerobic power and blood fatigue components in winter training program.

      • 녹동균 세포외막 단백질 백신 CFC-1-101의 안정성 및 면역원성 검토 : 임상 제 Ⅰ/Ⅱa상 시험

        목적 : 제일제당에서는 녹농균의 세포외막 단밸질을 유효성분으로 하는 백신인 CFC-101을 개발하였으며, 동물시험에서 이 백신의 안전성과 유효성을 입증하였다. 본 연구에서는 이 녹농균 백신의 인체에 대한 안전성과 면역원성을 평가하는 동시에 인체 접종시의 최적 투여 용량을 결정하기 위하여 제 I/Ⅱa상 임상시험을 수행하였다. 방법 : 건강한 성인 남자를 피험자로 선별하여 각 용량군에 백신투여자 6명, 위약투여자 2명을 배정하였다. 백신 투여군은 0.25mg, 0.5mg 또는 1.0mg 용량의 녹농균 백신을 7일 간격으로 3회에 걸쳐 근육주사 하였으며, 위약 투여군에게는 세포외막 단백질을 제외한 동일한 성분을 투여하였다. 백신접종 후 국소적 또는 전신적인 반응의 발생여부를 관찰하고, 혈액시료를 체취하여 백신의 역가와 유효성을 검정하였다. 결과 : 녹농균 백신 CFC-101은 모든 접종자에서 양호한 내약성을 보였다. 또한 0.5mg 과 1.0mg 백신 투여군에서는 100%의 항체양전율을 나타내었다. 생성된 항체는 녹농균 세포외막단백질에 특이성을 보였고, 녹농균 감염에 대해 방어효능이 있었다. 결론 : 이와같은 결과로부터 이 녹농균 백신은 인체에 안전하게 투여할 수 있으며, 높은 항체 생성능으로 감염방어 효능을 보이고 0.5mg과 1.0mg이 최적용량인 것으로 판단되었다. Background : We developed a Pseudomonas aeruginosa outer membrane protein(OMP) vaccine CFC-101, and the prophylactic efficacy of which has been demonstrated in animal models. In order to evaluate the safety and immunogenicity of the P. aeruginosa vaccine, we carried out a phase I/Ⅱa clinical trial in healthy male volunteers. Methods : Groups of eight volunteers, including two placebo subjects, were vaccinated intramuscularly with three doses of 0.25, 0.5 or 1.0 mg of the vaccine at one week intervals. Sings of systemic and local reactions observed after vaccination were recorded for each vaccinee for 5 days. Physical examinations were performed on days 0, 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 42, and clinical laboratory tests were done on days 0, 3, and 21. Blood samples for assay of serum antibody levels were obtained up to 42 days after the first vaccination. Results : The vaccine was generally well tolerated by all vaccinees, showing no significant side effects. In the three dosage groups, all vaccinees, except one receiving the 0.25 mg dose, showed significant elevation in serum IgG antibody titers against the vaccine proteins, indicating 100% seroconversion in 0.5 and 1.0 mg groups. The human antibodies induced by the vaccine were specific for P. aeruginosa OMPs, as confirmed by western blot analysis and immunoprecipitation assays. The capacity of the human antisera to enhance opsonophagocytic killing activity by polymorphonuclear leukocytes and to confer protection against P. aeruginosa infections indicates that the antibodies elicited by the vaccine have protective efficacy. Conclusion : We conclude that the P. aeruginosa OMP vaccine is safe and effective for human use and its optimal dose to be 0.5 or 1.0 mg.

      • Sports Character의 법적 보호제도에 관한 소고

        최근 한국에서 다양한 스포츠 캐릭터를 사용하는 기업이나 기관의 수가 늘어나고 있으며, 그러한 스포츠 캐릭터의 매출액도 급격히 증가하고 있다. 그러나 스포츠 캐릭터에 대한 법적인 보호나 상품화에 대한 연구가 아직 미진하며 업계의 인식도 여전히 낮은 수준이다. 현행법에 의하면 캐릭터의 보호는 저작권법, 상표법, 의장법 그리고 부정경쟁방지법 등에 의존하지만 아직도 법 보호의 범위와 세분된 항목에서 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있다. 특히 스포츠 캐릭터가 옷, 스포츠 ,상비, 출판물, 포스터 등에 사용되는 경우에는 상표법에 위배되는지가 분명치가 않다. 따라서 더 체계적으로 더 깊게 보호의 범위를 연구하여야 한다. 광고의 권리가 초상권과 같은 전통적인 인격권으로부터 온다면 경쟁적으로 구매야기의 증진방법으로 사용되어진다(최근 박찬호의 초상권. 박세리의 성명권이 퍼블리시티권 차원에서 문제되었다). 21세기에는 더 많은 캐릭터가 스포츠 시장에 보여질 것이다. 따라서 캐릭터의 법적인 보호 체제와 캐릭터를 활성화시키는 방법이 깊게 논의되어져야 한다. Recently, the number of enterprise of institution using various sports characters on their products is increasing in Korea and the amount of selling of such sports characters is also sharply rising. But, the legal protection on them or the research of making them products is still insufficient and the recognition of the companies on them is still low. According to the existing law, the protection of characters is dependent on the Copyright Act, the Trademarks Law, the Design Law and the Law of Prevention of Unfair Competition. But there are still a lot of matters to review of detailed contents and the range of Legal protection. Especially, in case that sports characters are used for clothes or that the characters are inserted in the various sports equipments. the publications, the posters, etc. we are not sure if it will violate the Trademarks Law or not. Therefore, we should research the range of protection more systematically and more deeply. As the relevant point of contention of the other laws on characters, the interest on the right of publicity is also increasing. The right of publicity comes from the case that the traditional personal rights like the right of name and the right of portrait are competitively used as the method of the promotion of the inducement of the purchase(For example, recently, Chan-Ho Park's right of portrait and Seri Park's right of portrait and Seri Park's right of name caused troubles in the view of the right of publicity). It is expected that more characters will appear in the market of sports in the 21st century. Therefore, the system of legal protection of the characters and the method to activate the characters should be reviewed in depth.

      • 안면경련의 침구치료에 대한 문헌적 고찰

        편측 안면경련은 편측 안면근의 불수의적, 간헐적 수축으로서 심할 경우 안면 근력 약화 및 강직현상등이 나타나기도 하는 질환이다. 서양의학에서 편측 안면경련의 병태생리에 대한 가설은 크게 두가지로 대별되는데, 첫째는 중추성 가설(핵가설)이고, 둘째는 말초성가설이다. 치료방법은 대별하여 내과적 치료와 외과적 치료의 나눌 수 있는데, 외과적 치료가 다양하게 시행되어 왔으며, 근래에는 두개강내 미세혈관 감압술이 시행되고 있다. 韓醫學에서는 眼瞼痙攣울 眼胞振跳, 胞輪振跳라고 하고, 眼眉跳라고도 하며, 그 외 目瞬, 目跳, 眼皮跳 등의 이름으로도 불리운다. 外因으로는 風邪가 經絡에 侵入하는 것이며, 內因으로는 肝血虛한 中의 風邪가 兼하기 때문이다 따라서, 국부경혈 자침과 함께 장부변증에 따라 肝, 膽經 경혈의 사용과 합께 耳鍼T의 시술이 유용할 것으로 사료된다. Hemifacial spasm including blepharospasm is characterized by spontaneous clonic and tonic muscle spasm on one side of the face with synkinesis. Though the etiology of hemifacial spasm is not entirely understood, generally there are two. One is nuclear hypothesis and the other is peripheral hypothesis. There are two ways of treatment of hemifacial spasm. One is internal medicine and the other is operative method. In oriental medicine, hemifacial spasm is very similar to diseases such as Anpojindo(眼胞振跳), Poryunjindo(胞輪振跳), or Anmido(眼眉跳) in symptoms. The diseases such as Anpojindo(眼胞振跳), Poryunjindo(胞輪振跳), Anmido(眼眉跳) is related to the function of liver(肝) and risk factors are regarded as Pung(風). The acupuncture therapy of hemifacial spasm is based on Liver meridian(LV), Gallbladder meridian(GB), And ear-acupuncture is recommended as a good method for hemifacial spasm.

      • LC, Acute : O-061 ; Mode of cirrhosis related complication in Korean patients with liver cirrhosis -A prospective multicenter cohort study

        Background: Cirrhosis-related complications are indications for transplantation. However, the mode of complication has not been evaluated so far. To better address this issue, we investigated the mode of cirrhosis related complication and impact of these complications on survival in prospective, multicenter, inception cohort study of subjects with liver cirrhosis presenting with the first onset of decompensated complication. Methods: In this observational study, 1515 patients with the confirmed onset time of the first decompensated complication were enrolled. The mortality risk of cirrhosis-related complications, including ascites, portal hypertensive gastrointestinal bleeding (PHGB), spontaneous bacterial peritonitis (SBP), hepatic encephalopathy (HE), hepatorenal syndrome (HRS), was analyzed in these cirrhotic patients. Result: As the first complication, ascites was the most frequent (53.8%), followed PHGB (36.2%), HE (7.6%), SBP (1.7%) and HRS (0.7%). During follow-up (mean 32±47 months), 484 (31.9%) experienced subsequent decompensations and the proportion of subsequent complication was consistently changed; the proportion of HE, SBP, HRS increased as time progressed. The interval between subsequent decompensative events was progressively shortened. The mortality rate according to the first complication was as follows; Ascites =PHGB> HE=SBP>HRS. The mortality rate of patients experienceing subsequent complication was significantly higher than those without subsequent complication. According to the kinds of subsequent complication, survival of HE was also higher than HRS but lower than ascites or PHGB and similar to that of SBP and this difference of survival disappeared after repeated complication. Conclusion: The mortality risk correlated with initial complication and the risk increases as the number of complication episodes is repeated. Patient`s mean age was 56±11.50 years and 72.1% was male. The cause of liver cirrhosis is hepatitis B virus (38.6%), alcohol (35.5%) and hepatitis C virus (8.9%).

      • 유방암의 위와 대장전이

        Gastric metastasis from breast cancer is rare and only six cases have been reported in Korea. Colon metastasis is more rare than gastric metastasis. We report a 63-year-old woman with gastric and colon metastases of invasive lobular carcinoma of breast. She was diagnosed as right breast cancer, received right modified radical mastectomy 10 years ago and has been treated with chemotherapy and hormone therapy. Investigating for melena and a small caliber of stool, we found gastric and colon metastases. The diagnosis of metastatic breast cancer was made through gross pathologic and immunohistochemistry staining. We report a case with gastric and colon metastases from breast cancer and a review of the associated six case reports in Korea.
