Development of a bivalent live vaccine against duck hepatitis A virus types 1 & 3 and vaccine program for breeder ducks in Korea

어린 오리에 치명적인 질병을 일으키는 오리바이러스성간염의 예방을 위해 혼합생백신 개발, 백신의 방어기전 연구 및 종오리백신 프로그램의 개발로 질병방어 및 제어를 목표로 연구를 진행하였다. 첫 번째, 국내에는 1형과 3형이 동시 유행하고 있으며, 최근에는 3형의 발생보고가 증가하는 추세이다. 특히 1형과 3형의 복합감염사례도 빈번히 발생하고 있다. 이런 상황에서 효율적인 질병관리를 위해 국내에 발생하는 오리간염 1형과 3형을 동시에 방어하는 혼합백신을 개발하고 그 효능을 확인하였으며, 운반 및 보관 용이성 향상을 위한 연구를 진행하였다. 두 번째, 오리감염 생백신의 3-5일 만에 조기면역을 획득하는 특성분석을 위해 세포성 및 체액성 면역반응을 평가하였다. Cytokine이 백신접종 그룹에서 증가하는 것을 확인하였고, 특히 IFN-α에서 강한 증가를 보였다. 또한 항체가 평가에서는 기존에 알려진 바와는 다르게 백신 후 3일째에 항체를 획득하였고, 10일째에는 최고수준의 항체가 수준을 나타냈다. 세 번째, 1주령이하의 어린 일령에 치명적인 질병의 특성상 모체이행항체에 의한 예방이 가장 효과적이라는 점에 착안하여 종오리백신 프로그램을 개발하고 농장에 적용하여 평가하였다. 종오리 농장 4개동 4천수의 종오리를 대상으로 백신을 실시하였으며, 모체의중화항체가(VN titer) 8 log2이상에서 후대병아리 14일령까지 100% 방어효능을 확인하였다. 모체이행항체의 전달률은 11%수준으로 나타났으며, 후대병아리의 항체가를 개체별 추적하여 계산한 결과 모체이행항체 반감기는 3-5일령임을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 오리에 치명적인 질병을 일으키는 오리바이러스성간염 예방을 위한 혼합생백신 개발에 관한 연구로 기존의 국내 상용화백신의 한계점을 극복하고, 국내에 유행하는 혈청형들을 단회백신으로 효과적으로 방어할 수 있는 혼합생백신을 개발하였으며, 백신의 특성상 조기면역에 대한 세포성 및 체액성 면역기전을 평가하였다. 또한 종오리백신 프로그램을 국내에 적용하여 모체이행항체에 의한 후대 병아리의 우수한 방어 효능을 확인하였다.

Insulation Coating of Fe–Si–Cr Soft Magnetic Powder by Selective Oxidation

This study examines the insulation coating technology of Fe–Si–Cr powder via selective oxidation annealing, which oxidizeselements selectively by controlling the oxidation potential. The study calculated the oxidation driving force of Fe, Si, andCr, and conducted a thermodynamic analysis of oxidation and reduction conditions according to temperature and oxidationpotential. Based on the results, a selective oxidation annealing was performed in an atmosphere in which Fe is reduced andonly Si and Cr are selectively oxidized. The oxidation potential was controlled through the partial pressure ratio of hydrogenand water vapor. The XPS analysis results confirmed that a Si and Cr complex oxide layer formed on the powder surfaceafter the selective oxidation annealing. Afterward, withstanding voltages were analyzed to evaluate the insulation property. Then, the withstanding voltage of the powder applying the selective oxidation annealing increased significantly comparedto that of the initial powder. Further analysis showed that the powder annealed in an air atmosphere had a significantly lowersaturation magnetic flux density than the initial powder, while the powder applying the selective oxidation annealing hadonly a slightly reduced saturation magnetic flux density.

The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the response of Precast Prestressed Concrete Interior Wide Beam-Column Joint subjected to cyclic lateral loading. To this end, the experimental investigation was performed with six half-scale specimens of interior connection. The design parameters are the beam to column depth ratio, and the number of tendons within column core. One of the specimens, IJH-6, is modeled for the connection at the top floor of a structure. The test results showed that the specimens sufficiently resist up to limiting drift ratio of 0.035 in accordance with the provisional standard by ACI of acceptance criteria for concrete special moment frames.

The world is changing, Korea is in the middle of the road which is up to the development of culture industry, high profittable industry. The key words of culture industry are the movie ``Avatar`` and I-phone. ``Avatr`` is not simply the conventionally technical film, rather is a phenomenon for hybrid with cutural and technomogical values which is from technologies such as 3D, computer graphics, compositing, and virtual realities. Also, I-phone is not just a receiver, but a surprise as a portal for any contents within small pc, lap top, and game station. The creation of ``Avatar`` and I-phone has the fuction for developing the related culture industries. Their profitabilities are enormous. It has been a long time that The Korea has plunged into the competative market vying for forerunner in the line of digital industry or culture industry. But the question of this paper is whether the proper education is put on this area or not and then the purpose of this essay to pinpoint the blind spot, to anlalyse the cause, and to present the alternative to reality. The author doesn`t have any intentions to harm technological development. The development of technology is unstoppable because it`s a direction to contemporary civilization and profitable pursuit for industry. Even it does not only mean to interrupt the technological development but also to have the conviction that the raising a queston is necessary and positive for how it is proper way to culture creation.

<디 워>는 실패한 블록버스터인가? 내용과 형식에 있어서 이 영화의 가치에 대해 재고의 여지는 남아 있지 않은가? 이 연구는 이러한 의문에 대한 답을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 2007년 심형래 감독의 <디 워>는 영화 자체에 대한 평가보다는 영화를 둘러싼 민족주의 담론으로 평단과 관객의 이목을 집중시켰으나, 이야기와 형식 모두에서 분명 기존의 한국형 블록버스터와 차이를 보이면서 850만이라는 투입 대비 다소 실망스러운 박스오피스 성공과 민족주의에 경도된 일부 관객들의 열광적인 지지, 그리고 영화의 예술성과 완성도에 대한 평단의 비판적 시각이라고 하는 부조화스러우면서도 이해하기 어려운 결과를 낳았다. 결국 <디 워>는 문화적으로 논쟁거리를 제공했을 뿐 산업계와 비평계에서는 별다른 주목을 받지못한 영화로 남겨졌다. 그러나 한 가지 흥미로운 점은 <디 워>를 지지하는 관객들과 비판적인 시각을 견지한 평론가들 사이에 한 가지 공통된 시각이 있다는 점이다. 그것은 <디 워>의 스펙터클이 한국 관객의 기대 이상으로, 그리고 스토리 전개와 불균형을 이룰 정도로 불거졌다는 것을 양자 모두 인정하고 있다는 것이다. 내러티브를 압도하는 <디 워>의 스펙터클은 일면 팬들을 열광시키는 동시에 평론가들로 하여금 이 영화를 외면하게 만드는 원인을 제공하기도 한 것이다. 이러한 맥락에서, 이 연구는 <디 워>의 예술적/이론적/비평적 가치에 논쟁을 불러일으킨 이러한 측면, 즉 ‘내러티브를 압도하는 스펙터클’ 내지는 ‘스펙터클을 보여주기 위한 구실로서 존재하는 내러티브’라는 영화의 미학적 특성을 살펴보고 이를 통해 작품성의 측면에서 실패작으로 치부되어 온 <디 워>에 일말의 비평적 가치를 제고하는데에 그 목적이 있다. 또한 <디 워>는 “기존의 영화비평 방식을 통해 접근해갈 수 없는 새로운 범주에 속하는 영상물”임을 제시하고 결과적으로 새로운 개념적 틀을 통해 비평적 평가를 받을 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 데에 이 연구의 의의가 있다 하겠다. <디 워>의 서사미학을 밝히기 위해 스펙터클 중심적인 서사성(narrativity)의미학, 내지는 내러티브보다 스펙터클을 더 중시하는 제작 양식을 일컫는 앙드레 고드로(Andre Gaudreault)의 ‘기교성(trickality)’이라는 개념과 이러한 미학이 지배하는 영화를 가리키는 톰 거닝(Tom Gunning)의 ‘매혹의 영화(the cinema of attractions)’라는 개념을 살펴볼 것이다. Is <D-War> a failed blockbuster film? Is there no room for reconsideration of the value of the film in terms of its contents and forms? The purpose of this study is to answer these questions. In 2007, SHIM Hyung-rae’s <D-War> was in the limelight due to the nationalist discourse around the film rather than evaluation of the film itself. In terms of its narrative and formal properties, the film showed the difference from the Korean nationalist blockbuster films. It led to the disaccord and hard-to-understand results of having somewhat disappointed box-office success of 8,500,000 audiences in comparison to the input, of receiving well by a generous part of the audiences absorbed by nationalism, and of getting the critics’ cynic criticism of the film’s cinematic value. Eventually <D-War> only provided the cultural battlefield of nationalism, was left as an unnoticed film in the realm of industry and criticism. However, it was interesting that there was a common ground between the film’s supporters and the cynic critics. Both sides were being acknowledged that the spectacle of <D-War> was way out of proportion to the degree that the spectacle was unbalanced with the story unfolding, achieved more than expected. Its spectacle overwhelming the narrative enfever a few audiences, and at the same time, it provided some reasons making critics face away from the film. In this context, the purpose of this study is to examine <D-War>’s aesthetics that ‘the spectacle dominating narrative’ or ‘the narrative as a pretext for showing spectacle,’ leading to discussion of artistic/theoretical/critical value and to find out cinematic value of the film being regarded as a failure. In addition, this study is significant in that it suggests that <D-War> is a new kind of moving image that it cannot be analyzed with existed critical methods of narrative film criticism; as a result, this study provides the chance to be evaluated through a new conceptual frame of the film. In order to grasp the narratological aesthetics, this study focuses on the concept of trickality that Andre Gaudreault suggests, and Tom Gunning’s ‘the cinema of attractions,’ referring to the spectacle-oriented narrativity or the mode of production displaying the spectacle more than the narrative.

공생별의 고분산 분광선 연구 - CI Cyg 방출선

1998년 9월 12일 (위상 □ = 0.90)와 2002년 8월 12일 (□ = 0.47)에 Aller 와 Hyung이 관측한 Lick 천문대의 HES 고분산 분광 자료, 그리고 2009년 10월 21일 (□ = 0.54) 보현산 천문대에서 형식과 이성재가 관측한 BOES 고분산 분광자료를 이용해 공생별 CI Cyg를 연구하였다. 방출선 윤곽과 선세기는 관측시기의 별 위상에 따라 변화를 보였다. 우리는 O I, O III, [O I], [O III], N III, [S III], Si II 선들의 윤곽을 제시하고, 이를 통해 공생별CI Cyg를 구성하는 뜨거운 백색왜성과 M4 분광형을 가진 차가운 적색거성 주변 가스의 물리적 조건에 대해 논의 하였다. We investigated the high dispersion HES data of the Symbiotic star CI Cyg observed at Lick Observatory on September 12th, 1998 (phase □ = 0.90) and on August 12th, 2002 (□ = 0.47) by Aller and Hyung. along with the BOES data observed at Bohyunsan Observatory on October 21st, 2009 (□ = 0.54) by Hyung and Lee. The emission line profiles and their line intensities show change depending on the phase of different observing periods. We present the line profiles of O I, O III, [O I], [O III], N III, [S III], and Si II and discuss the physical condition of the nebulous gas surrounding two components of the symbiotic star CI Cyg, i.e., a small hot white dwarf and a cold M4 type red giant star.

Electron Cyclotron Resonance O_2 Plasma에서 증착한 규소 산화 박막의 특성

규소 산화막을 ECR-CVD(electron cyclotron resonance-chemical vapor deposition) 증착방법으로 5인치 기판위에 상온에서 증착하고, 증착공정조건인 증착율, 기판온도, 마이크로파의 세기변화 및 플라즈마 혼합기체의 비에 따른 규소 산화막의 특성을 조사하였다. 또한 산화막의 구조적인 특성을 비교하기 위해 FTIR을 이용하여 ECR-CVD 증착한 산화막, RPE-CVD(remote plasma enhanced-CVD) 증착한 산화막 및 열 산화막의 stretching frequency를 측정하였다. 측정된 결과 ECR-CVD로 증착된 산화막이 구조적인 면에서 열 산화막과 거의 같음을 보였다. ECR-CVD로 증착된 산화막의 전기적인 특성을 전류-전압 및 축전-전압 측정에의하여 분석하였다. 축전된 산화막의 전기적인 특성은 산화막의 전하 밀도는 1×10 exp (11)/㎠이였고, 평균 절연 파괴 전압은 약 6 MV/㎝이다. We have grown thin films of SiO_2 at room temperature by using an ECR-CVD system and have investigated the changes in the properties of the deposited films with changes in the processing conditions such as the deposition rate, the substrate temperature, the microwave power and the plasma gas mixing ratio. We also measured the stretching frequency of three kinds of oxides, and ECR-CVD-grown oxide, a PECVD-grown oxide, and a thermally grown oxide, using FTIR analysis to compare their structural properties. The result shows that the structural properties of the ECR-grown oxide are similar to those of the thermally grown oxide. Additionally, the electrical properties of the ECR-grown oxide were investigated by using current-voltage and capacitance-voltage measurements. These electrical results indicate that the oxide charge density and the average breakdown voltage are 1×10 exp (11) ㎝^-2 and 6 MV/㎝, respectively.

봉독약침이 류마티스 관절염 환자의 기능회복 및 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

Objective: To evaluate the effects of bee venom acupuncture(BVA) on the rehabilitation and quality of life in rheumatoid arthritis(RA) patients Methods: Patients with RA were treated with the BVA therapy twice a week for 3 months. Tender joint counts, swollen joint counts, morning stiffness, Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate(ESR), C-reactive protein(CRP), patient global assessment, physician global assessment, Korean health assessment questionnaire(KHAQ) were estimated and analyzed before and after BVA therapy. Results: Tender joint counts, swollen joint counts, morning stiffness showed significant decrease after BVA therapy. But, as acute inflammatory reactants, ESR showed no significant difference and CRP showed significant increase after BVA therapy. Patient global assessment physician global assessment, and KHAQ index showed significant improvement after BVA therapy. Conclusions: BVA therapy can improve rehabilitation and health-related quality of life RA patients as well as clinical symptom and signs. Further study is required in more population with large scale including acute inflammatory reaction of BVA therapy.
