        Open Posterior Approach versus Arthroscopic Suture Fixation for Displaced Posterior Cruciate Ligament Avulsion Fractures: Systematic Review

        Purpose: To compare the clinical outcomes between the open posterior approach and arthroscopic suture fixation for displaced posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) avulsion fractures.Methods: A literature search was performed on MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library databases. The inclusion criteria were as follows: papers written in English on displaced PCL avulsion fractures, clinical trial(s) with clear description of surgical technique, adult subjects, a follow­up longer than 12 months and modified Coleman methodology score (CMS) more than 60 points.Results: Twelve studies were included with a mean CMS value of 72.4 (standard deviation, 7.6). Overall, 134 patients underwent the open posterior approach with a minimum 12­month follow­up, and 174 patients underwent arthroscopic suture fixation. At final follow­up, the range of Lysholm score was 85–100 for the open approach and 80–100 for the arthroscopic approach. Patients who were rated as normal or nearly normal in the International Knee Documentation Committee subjective knee assessment were 92%–100% for the open approach and 90%–100% for the arthroscopic approach. The range of side­to­side difference was 0–5 mm for both approaches.Conclusions: Both arthroscopic and open methods for the treatment of PCL tibial­side avulsion injuries resulted in comparably good clinical outcomes, radiological healing, and stable knees.

      • 單獨住宅 外觀의 圖像性에 관한 硏究

        This study intends to clarify the role and the function of the icon in architecture through an examination of role, character and meaning of form as the icon which determine the exterior form of architecture. The object of this study is to clarify the iconology of exterior form of individual house as a question in the society, this time. This study studies how the exterior form of individual house is perceived by poeople in this society and deals with 56 exterior photographs of individual house. Through the opinionsurvey, the respondents are asked to check the like-individual houses as the exterior forms of the "individual house". Before starting this analysis, we set up some items of element which can be drived from the literature on this subject. First, with the question of each item, this study analysis data by cluster analysis. By this analysis, common factor which 56 photographs have can be drived from data as a group. Next, with groups drived from cluster analysis, this study analysis contribute rate for total exterior form of individual house by multi-regression analysis. And then, with analysis result of cluster analysis and multiregression analysis, this study can be clarified the iconology of exterior form of individual house.

      • 만성 어깨 통증을 유발한 양측성 탄력섬유종 1예

        Elastofibroma is a rare, benign, soft-tissue tumor that usually located at the inferior pole of the scapula. It is important to differentiate this tumor from other soft-tissue tumors such as sarcoma, fibromatosis, metastatic tumor, and lipoma. A 57-year-old female who complained of chronic both shoulder pain was admitted to our hospital with bilateral, soft tissue masses located in the subscapular region. Ultrasonography, CT and MRI images showed bilateral inhomogeneous tumors that measured 7×3×6 cm. This was compatible with elastofibroma by fine-needle aspiration biopsy. Shoulder pain was gone with decreasing size of masses after conservative treatment and avoiding workload to the shoulder. We present this case with a review of literatures.

      • 철을 오염시킨 n-GaAs의Photoreflectance에 관한 연구

        We investigated the variation of PR signals for n-GaAs surface treated with Fe as annealing method. The samples were annealed by isochronal(200∼600 ℃, 10 min) and isothermal(300 ℃, 10 ∼60 min) method. In PR signals measured from isochronal annealed samples, the rate of intensity decreasing for n-GaAs was 49%, and that for n-GaAs surface treated with Fe was 66%. We assumed that the large amount of decreasing intensity for Fe contaminated sample caused by decreasing carrier density due to increasing of ?? neutral acceptor at higher annealing temperature. In PR signals measured from isothermal annealed samples, the signals for annealed n-GaAs decreased with increasing annealing time, and the signals for n-GaAs surface treated with Fe continuously increased with increasing annealing time. It can be assumed that the increasing of PR intensity for Fe contaminated samples as annealing time caused by the diffusion of Fe atoms from the surface.

        자유단 층간분리를 갖는 복합재 적층판의 최종 파괴강도

        This paper presents experimental and analytical studies of ultimate strength of [30_2/-30_2/90]_s carbon/epoxy laminates with free-edge delamination under uniaxial tension. We performed tensile test for laminates with Telflon inserted on interfaces to simulate initial free-edge delamination. The experiment reveals that extensional stiffness of the laminate decreases by the initiation of the delamination, and that strength of the laminate without delamination is smaller than that of the laminated with delamination. Generalized quasi-three dimentional finite element analysis, which employs energy release rate and maximum stress criteria, predicts the ultimate strength of the laminates with sufficient accuracy.

      • Gable bend 및 spring 形態가 犬齒遠心移動에 미치는 影響

        The purpose of this study is to research the effects of gable angle and spiring configuration of sectional retractor springs on the activation force. Bull loop(.016"x.022",.018"x.022"),closed vertical loop(.016"x.016"),closed vertical loop c helix(.016"x.016"), and closed vertical double c helix(.016"x.016"), closed vertical double loop(.016"x.016") were fabricated by the same instrument, forming gable angle of 0°, 30°and 45°. They were divided into heat treated group and non-heat treated group. The results obtained through tensile strength test using universal testing machine are as follows. The amount of activation force was shown in the order of Bull loop, closed vertical loop, closed vertical double loop, closed vertical loop c helix, and closed vertical double loop c helix, in which Bull loop is the strongest. Activation force was increased according to the increase of gable angle in Bull loop, closed vertical double loop and closed vertical double loop c helix, but the degree of gable angle didn't effect on the activation force of the closed vertical loop and closed vertical loop c helix. The increase of activation force was shown in each heat treated spring, particularly in the Bull loop of large sized wire. Deformation degree of gable angle was rarely influenced by spring configuration, and was shown very little in heat treated springs. Closed vertical double loop c helix(.016"x.016") has the range of somewhat optimal force for the canine retraction.

      • 초미세 자성분말 합성을 위한 열처리 온도에 관한 연구

        Ultra-fineNi06₃Zn017Cu02Fe₂O₄ powders have been fabricated by using a sol-gel method and their magnetic and physical properties have been studied as a function of annealing temperature. The growth of fine particles annealed at and above 200℃ was confirmed by using an X-ray diffraction, a thermal analysis and a transmission electron microscope, however, powders annealed at 200℃had particle sizes too small to be ferrimagetic. From X-ray diffraction and Mossbauer spectroscope measurements, it was confirmed that the increase of the annealing temperature made particle sizes enlarged and that their magnetic properties were changed from the paramagetic to ferrimagnetic nature. Also, the annealing temperature at and above 550℃ was necessary to make Ni06₃Zn017Cu02Fe₂O₄ powers become homogeneously ferrimagnetic.
