        Genome-wide investigation of a Korean synthetic breed, Woori-Heukdon using the Illumina PorcineSNP60K BeadChip

        Background: Woori-Heukdon (KWH) is a Korean synthetic pig breed generated using Chookjin-Duroc (KCD), Chookjin-Chamdon (KCC), and their crossbreds. Currently, there is a severe lack of studies investigating the Korean breed populations including wild boars (KWB) throughout the genome. Objective: This study was performed to investigate the genetic characteristics of Korean pig populations at the genome-wide level. Methods: Using the SNP dataset derived from genotyped and downloaded datasets using the Illumina PorcineSNP60K BeadChip, we compared the genomes of 532 individuals derived from 23 pig breeds to assess the genetic diversity, inbreeding coefficient, genetic differentiation, and population structure. Results: KWB showed the lowest average expected heterozygosity (HE = 0.1904), while KWH showed the highest genetic diversity (HE = 0.02859) among Korean populations. We verified that the genetic composition of KWH, showing USD of 74.8% and KCC of 25.2% in ADMIXTURE analysis. In population structure analyses, KCC was consistently shown to be separated from other pig populations. In addition, we observed gene flow from Western pigs to a part of Chinese populations. Conclusion: This study showed that Korean native pigs, KCC have genetic differences in comparison with Chinese and Western pigs; despite some historical records and recent genetic studies, we could not find any clear evidence that KCC was significantly influenced by Chinese or Western breeds in this study. We also verified the theoretical genomic composition of KWH at the molecular level in structure analyses. To our knowledge, this is the first genomic study to investigate the genomic characteristics of KWH and KCC.

        소설의 재매개와 포스트휴먼의 형성-소설 ≪천룡팔부(天龍八部)≫에서 게임 ≪천룡팔부(天龍八部)3D≫까지-

        본고는 소설 《天龍八部》가 디지털 게임 《天龍八部3D》로 재매개(remediate)되는 과정을 추적하고, 그 과정 중에서 나타나는 미디어 판본의 차이를 밝힌다. 나아가 그 과정 속에서 새로운 주체, 즉 포스트휴먼이 등장하고 있다고 주장한다. This study starts with Jin Yong`s famous novel, < Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils >, or < Tianlongbabu >. But what I mainly discussed is not the novel itself, but a mobile game < Tianlongbabu3D >, which is based on the novel. I tried to find out what happened during the process of translating the novel into the game, and to explain what it means. One of my two main concept is `remediation`. When a new media emerges, people tend to think that this new media is going to completely replace the old one. But the invention of camera did not extinguish painters, and kindle did not replace paperback. In fact, picture and painting, e-book and actual book created a complex interaction, affecting each other. We call this interaction `remediation`. When a novel < Tianlongbabu > was transformed into a mobile game < Tianlongbabu3D >, this `remediation` happened. The game looks like it`s telling the same story as the novel did, but different media has different characteristic. For instance, in the game you can visit the same place as many times as you want, and beat enemies you couldn`t dream of beating in the novel. Next main concept is `posthuman`. By posthuman, I mean the change of the very concept of human being. To humanism subject, reason is very important. They have very clear `boundary`, which consists their `self`. But posthuman transcends above this boundary. They embrace `alien` things like metal arm or electric body parts, they do not exclude things that were considered to be outside of the boundary, like cyborg, robot or A.I.. I think what we see in the game < Tianlongbabu3D > is the emergence of posthuman. The playable character that the player controls is posthuman, and the player itself is also posthuman. Above the boundary of human/smartphone, the posthuman ascends. In short, through this study I found out that the remediation of novel by game produces new meanings and activities, and that the very concept of human self is shaking. Posthuman is already among us.

      • 6주간의 淸暑益氣湯 經口投與가 에너지대사 및 호르몬 변화에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of chung-seo-ik-gi -tang administration on the metabolic responses and hormones in 18 healthy-male elite boxes. All subjects were divided randomly with two groups, Chung-sea-ik-gi-tang Group(N=18) and placebo group(N=18) and perfored with 70% of HR max using bycicle ergometer unfil exhaustion. During the submaximal exercise, heart rate was maesured every two min. The blood samples were collected from antecubital vein by 10ml syranges(6ml/each) before immediately after exhaustion, recover-10 min, recover-20 min and recover-30 min. The samples were to analyzed for the level of glucose, lactate, TG, TC, HDL-C, insulin and catecholamine. The results of various blood parameters were summarized as follow; l. Energy substrates (plasma glucose, TG, TC, HDL-C) changes in group C were significantly different from group P. Plasma glucose in group C was significantly lowered at recover-10 min compared to group P (P<0.05). and also TG, TC and HDL-C in group C were significantly increased after 3 weeks compared to group P (P<0.05) whereas. Lactate accumulation in group C was significantly decreased after 3 weeks compared to group P (P<0.05). 2. Plasma insulin level was not showed significant difference between two groups. But insulin depression tendency after 3, 6 weeks in group C was allevated compared to group P. Increasing rate of norepinephrine in group C at Post-exhaustion after 3weeks lowered compared to group P. Norepinephrine in group C at rest periods after 3 weeks showed significant difference compared to group C. The results indicated that Chung-seo-ik-gi-tang had the effects of ergogenic aids on fatigue resistance and recovery from exhaustive exercise at the level of 70% HR max.

      • Candida tropicalis로 부터 분리된 자율복제기점을 이용한 Candida maltosa와 Saccharomyces cervisiae에서의 shuttle-vector의 구축

        무포자 효모인 Candida속의 효모는 aikane계 화합물을 이용하며 cellubiose나 xylose를 동화하는 등 산업적으로 이용가능성이 높다. Candida tropicalis는 세포질 인자인 plasmid가 발견되지 않으므로 염색체 유래의 자율복제기점을 non-replicative plasmid인 YIp5에 삽입시켜 S. cevisiae YNN 27에서 분리하였다. 분리된 자율 복제 기점을 Hind III과 EcoR I제한 효소로 절단하고 각각 2.7kb와 2.3kb fragment를 회수한 후 동일 제한 효소로 절단한 YIp5와 YIp32에 ligation시켜 pIKS523, pIKS527및 pIKC27을 구축하였다. 특히, pIKC27은 2.7kb의 자율복제 기점을 가진 plasmid로서 S. cerevisiae DBY746과 C.maltosa J288에서 높은 형질 전환체를 나타내었다. 기존의 plasmid와 안정성을 비교하였으며, 여러 제한효소에 의해서 얻어진 결과로서 상세한 restrition map을 작성하였다. Candida species are special interest because of its ability to metabolize hydrocarbon, covet this material into single cell protein and assimilate cellobiose and xylose as substrate. Cadida tropicalis has no native plasmid similar to 2㎛ plasmid. Therefore, Candida tropicalis is regarded as a new yeast host. An 8-kb fragment was isolated from Sal I digest of Candida tropicalis IFO 0518 genomic DNA which conferred the property of autonomous replication in Saccharomyces cerevisiae YNN 27. The vectors for gene manipulation of Yeast, pIKS 523, pIKS 527 and pIKC 27, were constructed by combinding the ARS fragment and integration plasmid YIP 5 and YIP 32, respectively. One of the recombinant plasmids, pIKC 27 (9.4kb), was capable of autonomous replication in both S. cerevisiae DBY 746 to Leu+ at a frequency of 600 transformants per ㎍ DNA, and transformed Candida maltosa J288 to Leu+ at a frequency of 230 transformants per ㎍ DNA. These results indicate that the 2.7 kb ARS element was necessary for high frequency transformation and autonomous plasmid replication in both S. Cerevisiae and C. maltosa.

      • 골프용품의 관여도수준과 상표충성도에 관한 연구

        The golf product industry needs to focus on the participation level to the product, which is a medium for the consumers to satisfy their diverse set of demands. This research purports to examine the effect of participation level on the level of brand loyalty at the time of purchasing golf products. The research subjects were selected among the customers of golf practice sites located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The sampling method used for the research subjectsis the Convenient sampling method among probability sampling methods. The research subjects were asked to fill in the survey questionnaire in person in the form of self-administered method. Among the collected 220 survey questionnaires, 15 which were deemed unreliable in their content were excluded. As such, 205 questionnaires were used for the final data analysis. SPSS/PC statistical program 10.0 Version for Windows was used for data processing, and the following statistical methods were used. Firstly, Descriptive analysis was conducted to analyze the response distribution of research subjects' demographical variables and each question categories. Secondly, Cronbach' test was used for the reliability test of the survey questionnaire. Thirdly, independent T-test, One-way Anova Analysis, correlation analysis, and Multiple regression analysis are to be used for the testing of hypothesis, and Duncan test was used for the post-test. Statistically significant level was set at p<.05 level. The results of research conducted using the above mentioned methods are as follows. Firstly, the level of participation at the time of golf product purchase according to the golf product consumers' demographical variables, manifested difference in the product performance elements not corresponding to expectation when it comes to average monthly income, product performance elements when it comes to age, and elements of participation level at the time of golf product purchase in terms of educational level. However, there was no difference in the level of participation in terms of gender and occupation. Secondly, as for the level of brand loyalty at the time of golf product purchase according to the golf product consumers' demographical variables, there were differences in the importance of product and in brand perception elements. Also, there was difference in the elements of brand perception in it came to the educational level. However, no difference was shown in the level of brand loyalty for gender?ccupation, and monthly income level. Thirdly, the effect of participation level on the level of brand loyalty at the time of golf product purchase manifested significant influence of participation level and product performance elements on the elements of golf product loyalty level. Also, participation level and elements not corresponding to expectation seem to affect brand perception.

        The purpose of this study is to deeply analyze in order to research the participation motive of the audience for each the event about the reeson why audience participate for Pro-Golf. The analysis about participation motive of audience for prfessional baseball is based on the analysis about the sport participation motive of teenage players ,the thesis of Sung chang-hyun(1996) and analysis about watching factor audience for pro-golf Kang sung-gu (2003). For the basic environmental examination of the collected materials we used SPSS-WIN 11.0 and examined the frequency of general character with using analysis of frequency in the basic statistics. Concretely, meaningful materials related to the participation motive was classified into detailed area. And we used 3 steps classes and methods which integrate into general theme. We had 2 psychologists and a man who experienced qualitative analysis in order to be justified in the method of this study. We had meeting with people. After we read participants' response to this examination, we also investigated it many times. We'll find out the classified factor through this research when more than 3 people participate in this study. We'll analyse meeting in which more than 3 specialists participated in order to increase classify about participation motive of audience of Pro-Coif and confidence. 1. The participation motive of the audience for the golf game was divided into B types of general fields such as the pleasure(amusement), deputy learning, environment, event, leisure activity, and health, and then classified again into 19 types of detailed fields. 2. n case of the golf game, the pleasure was appeared to be the most important factor for observing the sports event, and the next factor was shown as the deputy iearning. The special feature of the golf observing is that the audience can come along with the golfer in the whole golf ground and also they can enjoy the environmental benefit of the golf course. Thus, it was known that the environmental factors of the golf courses become the principal factor which induces the audience into the golf ground. 3. The audience of the sports event relieve their stress and enjoy their leisure by watching the sports event, and also they can experience the deputy learning while seeing the sports event. Consequently, it is needed to develop and invest the new function and service event which can participate people before or after the sports event itself.

        반복 작업 근로자들에서의 경견완장애에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 근골격계 질환중에서 대표적인 질환인 경견완장애를 대상으로 일부 제조업 및 전화교환수 근로자에서의 경견완장애의 유병실태 파악, 경견완장애의 정확한 분류 및 향후 진단기준의 개발에 필요한 기초적인 자료 수집에 목적을 두었다. 조사대상은 반복동작에 폭로되는 생산직 근로자 98명, 모전화국의 전화교환수 115명을 대상으로 근골격계 증상호소, 이학적 검사 및 신경학적검사와 기타 혈중 효소등의 임상검사 및 악력의 차이 등을 조사하였다. 조사대상 사업장 중 B사업장은 전자부품을 생산하는 사업장으로, 제품 조립라인의 작업형태는 주야 2교대 근무이며, 앉아서 하는 작업과 서서하는 작업이 혼재 되어있다. A사업장은 전화교환작업, 즉 컴퓨터단말기를 취급하는 작업으로 전원 앉아서 하는 작업이며, 주야 2교대 작업이다. 조사대상 집단의 일반적 특성은 다음과 같다. A사업장 근로자의 평균 연령은 37.9세, 평균 근속년수는 17년이며, B사업장은 평균 연령 37.7세, 평균 근속년수 10.4년이었다. A 사업장은 대상 근로자 115명이 전원 여자였으며, B사업장은 대상근로자 98명 중 남자 68(69.4%)명, 여자 30(30.6%)명이었다. 조사 결과는 다음과 같다. 사업장별 자각 증상 호소율은 A 사업장의 경우 경부 85.2%, 견관절 81.7%, 주관절 34.8%, 완관절 73.0%의 순으로 특히 경부 및 견관절, 완관절의 증상 호소율이 높았으며, 반면 B 사업장은 경부 51.2%, 견관절 56.1% 주관절 23.5%, 완관절 31.3%의 순이었다. 근속년수별 자각증상 호소율은 경부와 견관절의 자각증상 호소율이 40%이상으로 주관절 및 완관절의 지각 증상 호소율에 비해서 상대적으로 높았으며, 경부와 완관절은 근속년수가 증가함에 따라 자각증상에 호소율이 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다. A 사업장, B 사업장 모두 최소 22.8% 이상의 근로자(증상 경험자중)가 병원이나 약국을 방문하여 치료를 받았다고 응답하였으며, 사업장 간의 차이는 보이지 않았다. 조사 대상자 전원에게 신경학적 검사와 근전도 검사를 포함한 정밀건강진단을 실시하였다. 정밀건강진단 결과 A 사업장은 질병자가 10명(8.6%), 요주의자가 31명(26.9%), 재검자가 2(1.7%)이었으며, B 사업장은 질병자가 16(16.3%), 요주의자가 12명(12.2%), 재검자 2명(2.0%)이었다. 이러한 이상자의 질병별 유형은 긴장성 경부증후군에 해당하는 사람이 46명으로 이 중 질병자는 13명, 요주의자 30명 재검자 3명이었으며, 수근관증후군은 16명으로 질병자 3명, 요주의자 8명, 재검자 5명이었다. 기타 드퀘르뱅씨병은 5명으로 질병자 4명, 요주의자 1명이었으며, 외측상과염 3명, 이두근개건염 3명, 회전근개건염 3명, 내측상과염 2명, 경추디스트증후군이 5명 등이었다. 사업장별로는 A 사업장의 경우 긴장성경부증후군이 11명, 수근관증후군이 8명, 드퀘르뱅씨병 3명, 경추디스크증후군이 1명이었으며, B 사업장은 긴장성경부증후군이 35명, 수근관증후군이 8명, 드퀘르뱅씨병 2명등의 순이었다. 이러한 결과는 A 사업장의 경우 작업 조건이 의자에 앉아서 실시하는 컴퓨터 작업인데 반하여 B 작업장은 대부분 기립작업, 반복 조립으로 이러한 작업조건에 차이에 기인하는 것으로 판단된다. 경견완장애의 이상소견과 관련이 있는 성별, 연령, 빈도 위험도 점수 및 힘 위험도를 독립변수로 설정하여 다단계 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 경견완장애 이상소견에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미친 변수는 성별(p=0.0005), 연령(p=0.0093)이었으며, 힘위험도는 p값이 0.0567, 빈도위험도는 0.0983으로 유의하지 않았다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current status of and to collect the basic informations of musculoskeletal diseases of upper extremities in manufacturing and telecommunication companies. The subjects were 213 workers, consisted of 98 manufacturing workers and 115 telephone operators. The musculoskeletal symptom survey, job safety analysis(JSA), and medical examinations including neurologic and nerve conduction velocity(NCV) test were conducted. All workers were women in company A, while the other composed of 68(69.4%) men and 30(30.6%) women. The results were as follows: 1. The rates of self-reporting symptoms in each company were 85.2% at the neck, 81.7% at the shoulder joint, 73.0% at the wrist joint and 34.8% at the elbow joint in company A, while 56.1% at the shoulder joint, 51.2% at the neck and 23.5% at the elbow joint in company B in order. 2. No relationship was observed between the work duration and symptom rate in company A, but the highest symptom rate was observed at the neck in 10-19 year work duration group, at the shoulder, elbow and wrist joint in 5-9 year work duration group in company B. 3. Over the 22.8% of total workers in this study having symptoms got medical treatment at the medical clinics or drug stores, but there was no statistical difference between both companies. 4. In company A, 16(13.9%) workers were classified as D category, 12(10.4%) workers as C category and 2(1.7%) workers as R category among 115 workers. And D category was 10(10.2%), C category 31(31.6%) and R category 4(4.0%) among 98 workers in company B. D category means disease category needed futher treatment, C category means disease category needed no treatment and R category means recheck category needed futher evaluation. 5. The types of musculoskeletal disorders including D, C, and R category were 46 cases(D 13, C 30, R 3)of tension neck syndrome (TNS), 16 cases(D 3, C 8, R 5) of carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS), 5 cases of De Quervain's disease, 3 cases of lateral epicondylitis, 3 cases of bicipital tendinitis, 3 cases of rotator cuff tendinitis, 2 cases of medical epicondylitis, and 5 cases of cervical disc syndrome. 6. In company A, the total cases of 11 TNS, 8 CTS, 3 De Quervain's disease, 3 lateral epicondylitis, 3 rotator cuff tendinitis and 1 cervical disc syndrome were diagnosed and so were total cases of 35 TNS, 8 CTS and 4 cervical disc syndrome in company B. 7. By stepwise multiple regression analysis with dichotomization of musculoskeletal disease, the following odds ratios were significantly high(p<0.05)-sex(2.707) and age (1.926).

        광도 변화가 광중합형 컴포머와 컴포짓트 레진의 중합도 및 불소 유출에 주는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the fluoride releasing behavior of one self-curing glass-ionomer (Fuji II), one light-curing glass-ionomer (Fuji II LC), three compomers (PrismaFlow, UniFil F, and Dyract AP) and SIX composite resins (Flowline, Fissurit FX, Flow-It, Wave, Heliomolar Flow, and Glacier) as a function of light intensity. Disk type specimens were stored in deionized water at 37℃ for 1, 2, 4, 8 hrs and 1, 2, 7, 14, 21, 28 days. The deionized water was changed after measurements. The amount of fluoride ion, which was released from specimens, was measured by pH/ISE Meter (Istek Model 730P, Korea) with fluoride electrode. The results were statistically compared by Tukey multiple comparisons test (p=0.05). There were significant differences in degree of polymerization between specimens with 1 hr after irradiation and those with 24 hrs after irradiation (p<0.05). The cumulative amount of fluoride released was decreased with increasing light intensity (or degree of polymerization). The fluoride-releasing patterns of specimens were significantly different (p<0.05).
