Using optically-active 2,2'-bis(diphenylphosphino)-1,1'-binaphthyl (BINAP) as a P-donor, heteroleptic Pt(Ⅱ) compounds (R)-/(S)-(BINAP)Pt(TFBT)2 (H(TFBT) = 2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzenethiol) are prepared from (R)-/(S)-(BINAP) and (COD)PtCl2 via (R)-/(S)-(BINAP)PtCl2. These Pt(Ⅱ) compounds are characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopic analyses. It is noted that the arylmonothiolate ligand (TFBT) is labile in solution due to the lack of chelate effect.

The morphology change of silver nano-structures has been investigated by changing reagent concentrations, the speed of a magnetic bar, reaction temperature, and reaction time in the polyol process which were carried out in ethylene glycol solutions containing AgNO3 as a metal source and PVP (polyvinylpyrolidone) as a capping agent. Under optimized reactions, silver nanowires or nanocubes were obtained as a major product, and their morphology and composition were identified by FE-SEM and EDX analyses, respectively.

This paper investigates ZVS-PWM High Frequency (HF) Inverter as a power supplier for driving a magnetron in a microwave oven. Computer simulations using Simplorer and experiments are performed to test the electrical characteristics of the designed power supplier. The new power supplier shows lighter weight and higher efficiency than the conventional 60Hz power supplier.

It is an experimental study to evaluate the characteristics of transient response and performance of carburettered SI engine quantititively, under rapid transient driving conditions. Performance parameters such as cylinder pressure, engine speed, torque, manifold pressure and signal of stepping motor are measured by means of data acquistion system using PC/AT and A/D converter. Performance parameters are evaluated as the function of running time. The results obtained are as follows: 1. Under the rapid transient driving conditions, the value of performance parameters is delayed and increased with transient time. 2. Stumble, hesitation, and stretchiness are increased with running time in the case of without accelerater pump. 3. A quantititive evaluation is attempted on troque fluctuations and stumbles under transient conditions by introducing the stumble rate S and achievement A.

The equilibrium point of the solar power system have their own particular characteristics determined by the control mode of the power conditioning system. The stability of utility-interactive solar power system with a line -commutated converter is analyzed at various equilibrium points using the state-plane analysis technique. and the stability of utility-interactive solar power system with a forced-commutated converter is also analyzed and compared to that of the line commutated case. The stable operation region of the solar power system is identified after the behavior of the states near the various equilibrium points analyzed with a functional model of the solar power system.

In order to reduce efficiently the harmonic currents caused by the switching loads and to improve the whole performance of a three-phase four-wire power system, this paper investigates the three-phase four-wire active power filter. The topology of active power filter in the three-phase four-wire power system, the switching algorithm of active power filter using abc/αβγ transformation, and the hysteresis control for reducing harmonic currents in three-phase lines and a neutral line are studied. The performances of the active power filter are proved through the computer simulation study.
