The current study provides an efficient method connecting the free-selected terminal among the divergent terminals, which may fit best in the various business operation characteristics, to existing host computer. More specifically, the review of network components has been made to control interface between the computer and the terminal of different type, and the analysis of NETWORK PROTOCOL controlling interface also has been made. For the better compatibility, the modification has been made between the host computer and the terminal of different type to operate properly in the general-purpose NETWORK PROTOCOL which differ from the existing host computer.

Status epilepticus (SE) has been described as a rare manifestation of hepatic encephalopathy. Massive bleeding and subsequent anemia may precipitate atherothrombotic cerebral infarction. Stroke is one of the possible causes of SE. A 69-year-o1d male with decompensated alcoholic liver cirrhosis presented with altered mental state and generalized convulsive SE after massive hematemesis due to varix bleeding. The hemoglobin level was 5.5 mg/dL and blood ammonia level was more than twice the normal level. The seizure was resolved after prompt and aggressive treatment for SE. The blood ammonia level was normalized after treatment for hepatic encephalopathy, but the patient' s mental state was not recovered. Brain MRI revealed multiple ischemic lesions in the both cerebral hemisphere. We present the patient as SE after acute ischemic stroke associated with anemia in hepatic encephalopathy.

The critical spontaneous ignition temperature were observered by performing experiments for mixtures which contain field collected tissue dust and some kinds of industrial lubricant. As the results of the experiments the critical spontaneous ignition temperature of mixture were lower than pure field collected dust sample for oil pressure and change gear lubricant, but higher for grease. And the critical spontaneous ignition temperature of mixture was varied according to the weight ratio of tissue and lubricant. It was found that the possibility of fire in bathroom tissue making process increase if dust and lubricant mixture produce.

Several methods exist for the prevention of dust explosions and for the mitigation of explosion effects. Explosion supression is a technique by which burning in a confined mixture is detected and arrested during the incipient stages to prevent development of pressure which could result in the damaging effects of an explosion. The main components of this system are high speed explosion detection and activation system to release the suppressant. Explosion tests were conducted in a stainless steel, cylindrical vessel having a volume of 80liter for the development of suppression system in our study. The pressure-time characteristics recorded for each explosion test was used to determine the performance of high speed explosion detection and activation system. Tests with halon suppressant showed a decrease of maximum explosion pressure. An explosion suppression system under our research operated well for high speed explosion detection but not high-rate discharge system. On this study we developed high speed explosion detection and activation technology to discharge the suppressant successifully and anticipated that this technology can be applicable to other explosion protective system.

Infectious diseases imported from other countries have increased as more and more Koreans are going abroad for various purposes. Tsutsugamushi disease from other endemic area such as Southeast Asia is important, because it can occur in any season and eschar may be absent. We report a case of imported tsutsugamushi disease acquired in the Philippines. A patient presented with fever, headache, and maculopapular skin rash. However, eschar was absent. Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for 56-kDa gene of Orientia tsutsugamushi using buffy coat was positive. Serum indirect immunofluorescent antibody assay was initially negative but became positive with a titer of 1:320 at follow-up, Sequencing analysis revealed the strain to be 100% identical to the TW73R strain identified in Taiwan. After the patient received doxycycline, body temperature normalized in 12 hours. Tsutsugamushi disease is one of the differential diagnoses that should be included for patients with fever who have recently returned from Southeast Asian countries. PCR for O. tsutsugamushi using patient's buffy coat was useful for early diagnosis.

A sandwich element is a special hybrid structural form of the composite construction, which is consisted of equal two orthotropic, stiff and strong sheets of dense material separated symmetrically by an isotropic layer which is much less stiff and strong. This study analyzed the variations of the stresses and strains of sandwich plates depending on material properties, thicknesses and stacking orientation of faces and three types of core material with simple hand-lay up F.R.P plates by computational method.

초음파 에코파형의 시간-주파수해석법으로 Wigner 분포와 웨이브렛 변환 등과 같은 새로운 신호처리 기법이 비파괴평가 분야에 널리 응용되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 웨이브렛 변환(Wavelet transform)에 의한 음속과 감쇠계수의 주파수의존성과 초음파 결함신호의 잡음제거의 유용성 유무를 실험적으로 검증하였다. Gabor 함수를 웨이브렛의 기본 함수로 사용하였다. 초음파의 에코파형에 포함된 각 주파수성분의 속도와 감쇠계수의 주파수의존성을 추정할 수 있었으며, 초음파탐상에서 결함의 검출능 향상과 결함크기 산정의 정량화에 접근하기 위해 웨이브렛 변환에 의한 S/N 비신호처리 시뮬레이션 결과를 오스테나이트강 스텐인레스 용접부에 가공한 EDM 노치의 초음파 결함신호에 적용한 결과 임상에코를 저감하고 S/N 비를 개선하는 것이 가능하였다. Recently, advanced signal analysis which is called "time-frequency analysis" has been used widely in nondestructive evaluation appications. Wavelet transform(WT) and Wigner Distribution are the most advanced techniques for processing signals with time-varying spectra. Wavelet analysis method is an attractive technique for evaluation of material characterization nondestructively. Wavelet transform is applied to the time-frequency analysis of ultrasonic echo waveform obtained by an ultrasonic pulse-echo technique, In this study, the feasibility of noise suppression of ultrasonic flaw signal and frequency-dependent ultrasonic group velocity and attenuation coefficient using wavelet analysis of ultrasonic echo waveform have been verified experimentally. The Gabor function is adopted the analyzing wavelet. The wavelet analysis show that the variations of ultrasonic group velocity and attenuation coefficient due to the change of material characterization can be evaluated at each frequency. Furthermore, to assure the enhancement of detectability and flaw sizing performance, both computer simulated results and experimental measurements using wavelet signal processing are used to demonstrate the effectibeness of the noise suppression of ultrasonic flaw signal obtained from austenitic stainless steel weld including EDM notch.
