      • 길랑-바레 증후군으로 초래된 기립보행불능증:증례보고

        기립보행불능증 (astasia-abasia)은 양호한 근력과 운동기능을 가지고 있음에도 서거나 걷는 것이 불가능한 것을 말한다. 이것은 흔히 정신적인 질환으로 간주되지만 기질적인 원인들도 보고되고 있다. 보행영역은 근육과 말초 신경 뿐 아니라 전정-소뇌-시상-피질 연결고리의 되먹임 작용에 의한 연계가 필요하다. 우리는 길랑-바레 증후군을 가진 환자에게서 나타났던 기립보행불능증을 경험하였고, 신경염 과 함께 보행 영역 연결의 붕괴가 증상 발생과 연관이 있을 것으로 사료된다.

      • 기능현 전치부 반대교합자의 ACTIVATOR 치료 효과에 관한 임상적 고찰

        The authors treated eight mixed dentiton patients with functional anterior cross-bite by using activator. The lateral roentgenographic cephalograms were analyzed before and after treatment, and skeletal and dental changes following the activator therapy were evaluated. The results were as follows: 1. The mandible was rotated backward and downward. 2. There were labioversion of upper incisors and slight linguoversion of lower incisors. 3. There was little effect of treatment upon maxillary skeletal structures. 4. LFH was increased slightly and soft tissue profile was improved.

        Characteristics of a Current‑Limiting DC Circuit Breaker with a Superconducting Coil Applied to the Commutation Circuit

        We research team has proposed a current-limiting superconducting DC circuit breaker that combines a High-temperature superconducting wire (HTS) with a DC circuit breaker, and secured its operation performance in our previous study via simulation. In this paper, we designed and produced an actual current-limiting superconducting DC circuit breaker, as well as analyzed its current limiting and breaking performance. In addition, the operation characteristics at diferent lengths of the HTS with increasing voltage were analyzed. The operation reliability of the proposed DC circuit breaker was demonstrated by a simulation system that was built similar to the actual system.

      • 2-O-α-D-Glucopyranosyl L-Ascorbic acid 생산을 위한 Cyclodextrin glucanotransferase의 고정화

        AA를 AA-2G로 전환하는 CGTase를 고정화하여 AA-2G 대량 생산의 가능성을 고찰한 결과, CNBr-sepharose 4B가 가장 효과적인 담체로 판명되었고, CGTase의 고정화 최적 조건과 고정화 CGTase에 의한 AA-2G 생산의 최적조건 및 재사용성을 검토하였다. 최적 고정화 조건은 효소량 24,000 units/g resin으로 9시간 반응하여 약 18,000 units/g resin의 최고 고정화율을 얻을 수 있으며, pH 5.0(50 mM sodium citrate buffer)용액에 12% AA-Na와 8% soluble starch를 기질로 하여 800 units/ml의 고정화 CGTase를 첨가한 후 37℃에서 100 rpm으로 교반하면서 25시간 반응하여 약 18 mM의 AA-2G 최고량을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 0.015 mM의 CaCl₂를 첨가하여 고정화 CGTase의 재사용성을 관찰한 결과, 5회까지 50% 이상의 AA-2G 생산율로서 그 가능성을 입증할 수 있었다. 그리고 효소의 재사용성이란 측면에서, 본 고정화의 다른 한 방법인 ultrafiltration(한외 여과)에 의해서는 Millipore사의 YM10 membrane을 이용하여 먼저 단백질량과 효소 활성 변화를 측정하여 그 가능성을 확보할 수 있었으며, 기질 20 ml을 사용하여 AA-2G를 생성시킨 후, 한외여과에 의해 효소만을 회수하여 연속 반응해 본 결과 8회까지 50% 의 생성률을 유지하였다. 따라서 한외 여과는 CNBr-sepharose 4B와 함께 효율적인 고정화의 한 방법으로 판명되었으며, 앞으로 이들 고정화 효소를 이용한 연속 반응 시스템의 구축이 뒤따라야 할 것이다. Cyclodextrin glucanotransferase (CGTase) from Paenibacillus sp. JB-13 was immobilized on various carriers by several immobilization methods such as ionic binding, covalent linkage and ultrafiltration to improve the process performance. The ultrafiltration and covalent linkage with CNBr-activated sepharose 4B were found as the best method for immobilization of CGTase. The ability of was as follows: contact time 6 hrs at 37℃, pH6.0, 100rpm and enzyme loading 24,000 units/g resin. The optimum conditions for production of 2-O-α-D-Glucopyranosyl L-Ascorbic acid by immobilized CGTase turned out to be: pH 5.0, temperature 37℃. 20% substrate solution containing 8%(w/v) of soluble starch and 12%(w/v) of L-ascorbic acid sodium salt, 100 rpm, for 25 hrs and with 800 units of immobilized CGTase/ml substrate solution. More over the CGTase activity could be stably maintained for 8 times of repetitive reactions after removing products by ultrafiltration through YM 10 membrane.

      • 기능형 반대교합자의 Activator 치료후 변화에 관한 장기관찰

        This investigation was carried out in order to define the changes after activator treatment on the functional crossbite patients. The data were obtained from 8 patients' serial lateral cephalograms at pre-treatment, posttreatment, and several years later. The results were as follows; 1. Increased mandibular plane angle (∠SN / MP) after activator therapy decreased to pretreatment state during posttreatment observation period. 2. Palatal plane angle (∠SN / MP) were stable during entire period from pretreatment and posttreatment to several years later. 3. Maxillary incisor angulation (∠PP / ⊥) had tendency to increase after Activator therapy. 4. Mandibular incisor angulation (∠MP / ┬) had tendency to increase after Activator therapy.

        한국인 주요우울장애 환자에서 혈중 ACTH, Cortisol 농도와 해밀턴 우울 평가 척도의 신체증상 항목과의 상관관계

        Objectives:Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Adrenocortical(HPA) system dysregulation plays an important role in the pathophysiology of major depressive disorder. Medically unexplained somatic symptoms comprised the predominant complaints of korean patients with major depressive disorder. It might be related to dysregulation of HPA system and somatic symptoms. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between Hamilton Depression Rating Scale severity and the Plasma Adrenocorticotropic Hormone(ACTH) & Serum Cortisol level in Korean patients with major depressive disorder. Methods:Our study design was prospective. A total 111 hospitalized patients with major depressive disorder (DSM-IV) at Anam Hospital, Korea University Medical Center between Jan 2009 and May 2011 were selected. Hamilton Depression Rating Scale was measured by psychiatrist. Plasma ACTH, Serum Cortisol levels were analyzed at the time of admission. Results:There are significant correlations(p<0.05) between Hamilton Depression Rating Scale of somatic component(HAM-D 11-15 item) and Plasma ACTH and Serum Cortisol level. However, other HAM-D sub items were not significantly correlated with Plasma ACTH and Serum Cortisol level except somatic component. Conclusion:Our Study results suggest that hyperactivity of HPA axis might be correlation with somatic symptoms in korean patients with major depressive disorder.

      • Quilting 內衣의 衛生的 性質의 變化

        This study was carried out to investigate the changes of the hygienic property of quilting underwears. The quilting underwears were presupposed diffeent function of hygiene because it is thick and consists of triple. In this experiment, three kinds of quilting underwears and two kinds of interlock stitch underwears were used as specimens. According to thirty times of repeated laundering various hygienic property were measured. The results of the present study are follows. 1. Hygienic properties of underwears were remarkable changed at early 5 times laundering before or after. 2. Warmth retaining and air permeability were each 118% and 48% higher quilting underwears than interlock stitch underwears. 3. Electrostatic charge of quilting underwears were 46% higher than that of interlock stitch underwears. 4. Moisture transmission and water absorption were not distinct between quiltin gunderwears and interlock stitch underwears. 5. Accaording to thirty time sof repeated laundering of quilting underwears, warmth retaining, air permeability, electrostatic charge and moisture transmission were decreased, however areal weight and water absorption were increased.

      • 경주마 생체시료에서의 난드로론과 대사체의 검출 및 정량

        In veterinary practice, anabolic steroid the nandrolone have been widely used in androgen therapy and illegal treatment. So current study was undertaken to quantify the steroids (nandrolone and its major metabolite estranediol) after administration and develope the screening method for the detection of anabolic steroid residues in equine body fluids. In the equine plasma, after extracted by disposable C18 Sep-pak cartridge with elution solvent, the organic layer was evaporated to dryness. The residue was subjected to LC/MS/MS analysis. After LC/MS/MS analysis, liquid chromatographic retention time data and mass spectral data were used for the detection and identification of nandrolone. The good quality control and recovery range were obtained for the present method. In the urine, after enzyme hydrolysis, the urine was extracted by disposable C18 Sep-pak cartridge and diethyl ether. After the ether layer was evaporated to dryness, the residue was subjected to derivatization prodedure and GC/MS analysis. After GC/MS analysis, both gas chromatographic retention time and mass spectral data were used for the detection and identification of estranediol. Also good quality-control data and recovery range were obtained for the present method. Using these methods, the concentrations of nandrolone and estranediol were determined in equine plasma and urine. Excretion profile of nandrolone presents the rapid increase up to maximum values at Days 4 after dosing and the slow regression in plasma and estrandiol major urinary metabolite of nandrone also presents increase up to maximum values at Days 5 after dosing and slow regression in urine.
