      • UV-Spectrophotometer를 이용한 에너지 음료에 함유된 피리독신 함량의 비교 분석

        These days, it's easy to see the students drink and energy drink called beverage for the 'test drinks'. The energy drinks are known as helping people to concentrate on their works and to overcome the fatigue. They are very popular among the twenties to thirties as well as teenagers. The consumption of the energy drinks led by Redbull and Hotsix emerged in the market in 2010 and has soared continuosly. The increasing interest in energy drinks has brought the preceding research on the danger caused by the caffeine. Exept the caffeine, however, the amount of the vitamins contained on them has been ignored. Therefore, the test, focused on the pyridoxine, vitamin B6, has neem designed to compare the amount of it contained the energy drinks using the UV-spectrophotometer. After making the standard solution of pyridoxine, the standard curve is dawn by the absorbance measure through the UV-spectrophotometer. The absorbance of pyridoxine will be measured several times under the same condition putting the selected four drinks, Hotsix, Hotsix-grapefruit, Guronsan bamond G, which can make ot possible to analyze and compare the amount of the pyridoxine in each energy drink.

        전래동화를 활용한 문학 활동이 아동의 상상 기능 및 성향에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 유아들의 음악선호도와 그 선호도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 파악하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 서울의 한 사립유치원에 재학 중인 전 원생 131명과 그 학부모를 대상으로, 유아들에게는 4가지 장르(동요, 전래동요, 클래식, TV 만화 주제가 및 광고음악)의 음악을 들려주고 즉각적인 반응을 측정하는 음악선호도 검사를, 학부모들에게는 설문지조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 유아들은 ‘TV 만화주제가 및 광고음악’을 가장 좋아하고‘전래동요’를 가장 덜 좋아하는 경향을 나타냈다.‘TV 만화주제가 및 광고음악’은 남아가 더 선호하며, ‘클래식’은 연령이 높을수록 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. This study is to investigate the music preferences of kindergarten children. For the study, the music preference opinions of 131 children were measured for examples of classical music, traditional children's song, modern children's song, and TV cartoon theme and commercial song. Those songs were all either learned at kindergarten or popular on TV. A survey about the information on the musical background and training of the children were conducted to their parents. Based on the results, the conclusions of the study are as follows; First, it shows a trends that the children preferred 'TV cartoon theme and commercial songs' most, and 'traditional children's song' least in the study. Second, the childrens' recognition on the musical example affected their preferences in this study. It is most so on 'TV cartoon theme and commercial songs' and more on 'traditional children's song'. Third, Gender and age were the factors that affect the chidrens' musical preferences in study. Gender was the factor in the preference on TV cartoon theme and commercial songs', age was the one on the classical music. Fourth, listening activity rather than singing activity at home affected the preferences of children. This implicates that the systematically organized listening activity might enhance the musical learning of children.

      • 임부의 연령에 따른 보완대체요법에 관한 인식 태도 경험 비교 연구

        Purpose: This study aims to test if the age of pregnant women affects the perception, experience, and attitude towards complementary alternative therapy (CAT), by investigating the perception, experience, and attitude of pregnant women under the age of 35, and above 35 (Advanced Maternal Age). The study will 1) find the general characteristics of pregnant women under and over the age of 35 2) compare the perception, behavior, and experience of pregnant women under and over the age of 35, and 3) find the comparison of the perception, behavior, and experience according to the general characteristics of pregnant women under and over the age of 35. Method: The subjects of this study are composed of 44 women under the age of 35 and 44 women above the age of 35, totaling 88 pregnant women visiting midwiferies, obstetrics and gynecology, and baby fairs in Seoul and Gyeong-Gi area. Data for this study was collected from November 28, 2015 to January 6, 2016 for 40 days. The collected data analyzed mean, standard deviation, t test, ANOVA, and chi-square by using SPSS 23.0. Result Results show that there is a significant difference in the perception, attitude, and experience of the two-sample groups in the use of CAT. The question of “what is most necessary when applying CAT in a hospital clinical environment” for the perception criteria came out with the results of t=9.980, p<.05. For the attitude, results showed that the answers of pregnant women under the age of 35 displayed a more positive attitude towards CAT. (t=2.421, p<.05) Lastly, in the experience section, pregnant women under the age of 35 showed more CAT use than the other sample group. Conclusion Results have shown that there is a difference in the perception, behavior, and experience between the two sample groups. Therefore further research on the efficacy and the adverse effects of CAT needs to be done.

        An Effective Bioinformatics Tool for Multiple Sequence Acquisition and Translation

        많은 바이오인포매틱스 관련 데이터베이스와 도구가 네트워크를 통해서 제공되고 있고, 이들을 효과적으로 활용하면 생물학적 분석을 적은 비용으로 우수한 결과를 얻을 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 주어진 질의에 대해서 잠재적으로 관련된 DNA 서열 정보를 획득하고, 분석자가 관심있는 항목을 선택하면, 선택된 항목에 대한 모든 DNA 서열 정보를 확보하고, 이들에 대해서 아미노산 서열로 자동변환하여 ORF라는 정보를 활용하여 가장 가능성이 큰 것을 추천하는 도구를 소개한다. 해당 도구에는 웹 로봇 기법과 ORF 검색등을 위한 생물학적 지식을 활용한다.

        고상추출법과 액액추출법을 이용한 수질 시료 중 Hexabromocyclododecanes (HBCDs) 분석법 연구

        In this study, we evaluated analytical methods for the determination of three hexabromocyclododecane diastereomers (α, β, γ-HBCD) using solid-phase extraction (SPE) and liquid-liquid extraction (LLE). Instrumental analysis was conducted using high-performance liquid chromatography with a triple-quadrupole mass spectrometer (LC/MS/MS), and the hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) cartridge was used for SPE. SPE showed the highest recovery when using ethyl acetate as the eluent, and 40% methanol was used as the clean-up solvent. In LLE, a multilayer column using AgNO3 showed a low recovery rate. The respective method detection limits (MDLs) and the limits of quantitation (LOQs) of HBCDs in water were 0.068-0.145 ng/L and 0.217-0.462 ng/L for SPE, and 0.043-0.293 ng/L and 0.135-0.932 ng/L for LLE. The accuracy ranged from 96.3% to 104.3% for SPE and 99.3% to 101.2% for LLE. The precision values for both SPE and LLE were less than 5.98%.

        Effect of culture condition on cell viability and gel contraction in a skin chip

        The importance of physiologically realistic in vitro skin models in development of cosmetics and drugsfor skin disorders have been well recognized, but current in vitro skin models carry several limitations inrecapitulating the physiology of the human skin. Recently, in vitro skin models in a microfluidic platformhave been proposed with improved physiological relevance. Survival and differentiation of skin tissueconstruct requires accurate refinement of cell culture environment, which can be different for static anddynamic culture conditions. In this study, we studied the effect of different culture conditions on the skinconstruct in a microfluidic skin chip. Our observation suggests that different seeding cell concentrations,thickness of the collagen matrix, volume of cell culture media and the frequency of media exchangeaffects the cell viability, extent of collagen gel contraction, and adherence of keratinocytes to the gelmatrix. Our study provides valuable information about optimization of cell culture conditions in amicrofluidic skin chip.

        <P>Surface molecules of pathogens play an important role in stimulating host immune responses. Elucidation of the signaling pathways activated by critical surface molecules in host cells provides insight into the molecular pathogenesis resulting from bacteria-host interactions. MspTL is the most abundant outer membrane protein of Treponema lecithinolyticum, which is associated with periodontitis, and induces expression of a variety of proinflammatory factors. Although bacteria and bacterial components like LPS and flagellin are known to induce IFN-beta, induction by bacterial surface proteins has not been reported. In the present study, we investigated MspTL-mediated activation of signaling pathways stimulating up-regulation of IFN-beta and IFN-stimulated genes in a human monocytic cell line, THP-1 cells, and primary cultured human gingival fibroblasts. MspTL treatment of the cells induced IFN-beta and the IFN-stimulated genes IFN-gamma-inducible protein-10 (IP-10) and RANTES. A neutralizing anti-IFN-beta Ab significantly reduced the expression of IP-10 and RANTES, as well as STAT-1 activation, which was also induced by MspTL. Experiments using specific small interfering RNA showed that MspTL activated TANK-binding kinase 1 (TBK1), but not inducible IkappaB kinase (IKKi). MspTL also induced dimerization of IFN regulatory factor-3 (IRF-3) and translocation into the nucleus. The lipid rapid-disrupting agents methyl-beta-cyclodextrin, nystatin, and filipin inhibited the MspTL internalization and cellular responses, demonstrating that lipid raft activation was a prerequisite for MspTL cellular signaling. Our results demonstrate that MspTL, the major outer protein of T. lecithinolyticum, induced IFN-beta expression and subsequent up-regulation of IP-10 and RANTES via TBK1/IRF-3/STAT-1 signaling secondary to lipid raft activation.</P>

      • Reducing Acceleration Respones of a SDOF Sturcture with a Bi-directional Liquid Damper

        This study deals with the design of a bi-directional liquid damper for a SDOF structure. Two dampers are usually needed to reduce wind-induced responses of tall structures since they are along and across wind ones. The proposed damper has the advantage of controlling both responses with a single damper. The damper shows dynamic behavior of both tuned liquid column damper (TLCD) and tuned sloshing damper (TSD) in the direction of two axes perpendicular with each other. This paper presents experimental verification to confirm its control performance. First, shaking table test is carried out to investigate reducing responses of a SDOF structure by the damper. Control performance of the damper is expressed by the transfer function from shaking table accelerations to SDOF structure ones. Testing results show that the damper reduced bi-directional responses of a SDOF structure. Also, it reduced torsion responses. It was confirmed from system identification results that damping ratio of a SDOF structure increased by the bi-directional liquid damper.
