In recent years, gonorrhea has been pandemic and remains one of the most common STDs in the world, especially in developing countries. For the detection of a more effective therapeutic regimen and assessing the prevalence of Penicillinase Producing Neisseria gonorrhoeae(PPNG), we have been trying to study the patients who have visited the Venereal Disease Clinic of Choong-Ku Public Health Center in Seoul since 1980 by menas of the chromogenic cephalosporin method. In 1998, 93 strians of N. genorrhoeae were isolated, among which 60(64.5%) were PPNG. The prevalence of PPNG in Seoul, which had been decreased to 39% in 1996 after a peak of 74.3% in 1993, is increased to 64.5% in 1998.

Fungus such as Candida albicans is a normal flora that is frequently found in the oral cavity, gastrointestinal tract, genitourinary tract, vaginal mucosa in a normal person. However, candida can cause opportunistic infection in an immune compromised host. Candidiasis has broad spectrum of disease from mucocutaneous infection to invasive or disseminated infection. But, it is rarely reported that candida is associaed with gastrointestinal tract disease in a healthy adult. The case of gastric ulcer associated with candida particularly in a health adult is reported with relevant literature.
생쥐모델에서의 망막모세포종 안구 자기공명분광법과 병리소견 : 초기경험

Purpose: To show various MR spectroscopy and correlated pathologic images of retinoblastoma in nude mouse with a new human retinoblastom cell line (SNUOT-Rbl) which innoculated into intravitreous cavity. Materials and Methods: The established cell line was innoculated into mtravitreous cavity of 14 eyeballs of 7 mice and a transplanted retinoblastoma was examed for 1 month. Tl-weighted image (T1WI), T2-weihgted image (T2WI), and MR spectroscopy were obtained with 1.5 Tesla MRI (Magnetom Vision, Siemens, Erlangen, Germany) and 4.7 Tesla MRI (Bruker, Medizintechnik GmbH, Karlsruhe-Ettlingen, Germany). After scanning, eyeballs were extracted and hematoxylin & eosin stained specimens were examined with the microscope. We compared MR spectroscopy with pathologic findings and evaluated characters of tumors. Results: Innoculated cells into eyeball of mice grew retinoblastoma (8/14, 57%). Eyeball with retinoblastoma protruded externally and showed focal hemorrhage. Tumors showed low (n=3), iso (n=4), high (n=1) signal intensity on TIWI, low (n=5), iso (n=1), high (n=2) signal intensity on T2WI, and well enhancement (n=8) with contrast, Involvement of optic nerve was suspected by MRI and confirmed by pathology (n=1). Conclusion: We could demonstrate MR spectroscopy of transplanted retinoblastoma by new tumor cell line in vivo. This imaging technique facilitate molecular imaging investigation of retinoblastoma.
중소기업 협업 활성화 방안에 관한 연구: 협업전문회사를 중심으로

과학기술의 급격한 발전은 기업경영에 속도라는 새로운 과제를 부과하고 있으며 이에 대한 대응으로 기업 간 협력이 과거 그 어느 시기보다 중요해지고 있으며 이러한 협업은 경영자원이나 핵심역량 확대에 한계가 있는 중소기업의 경영에 그 의미가 더욱 크다. 문재인 정부는 기업간 협업을 통해 중소기업의 경쟁력 강화를 추진하고 있으며 그 수단으로 제시한 것 중 하나가 협업전문회사이다. 협업전문회사는 2개 이상의 중소기업이 투자로 특수목적법인을 설립하는 것으로 실제로 회사는 설립하지 않고 명목 회사를 설립하여 사업관리자와 자산관리자를 설정하여 사업을 관리하는 것이다. 이러한 방법은 협업에 참여한 회사와 프로젝트를 구분하여 프로젝트의 사업성만으로 자금이 가능해져 국가 경제 측면에서 의미 있는 프로젝트를 성공시킬 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 또한, 기존에 협업에 참여한 회사 간에 기회주의와 이로 인한 갈등을 지분공유를 통해 해소할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 중소기업 간 협업의 필요성에도 불구하고 기업 간 신뢰가 부족하다는 것을 당연시하는 데 반해 이미 이탈리아는 네트워크 계약법으로 일본은 신연휴제도에서 가장 발전된 형태로 협업전문회사를 수용하고 있다. 심지어 문체부에서 시행하고 있는 문화산업전문회사에서도 이를 이미 시행하고 있어 조속한 시행이 필요하다. The rapid development of science and technology imposes Speed Agenda on business management. In response to this, cooperation among companies has become more important than ever. It is meaningful for SMEs whose business resources or core competencies are limited. Moon Jae-in Gov. has set up the task of strengthening competitiveness as a national task through business-to-business collaboration, and its representative means are collaboration special-purpose companies. A collaborating company is one in which two or more SMEs establish a special purpose corporation by investing. In fact, the company does not establish a company but establishes a nominee company and establishes a business manager and an asset manager to manage the business. This method has the merit that it is possible to achieve meaningful project in the national economy because the project can be financed only by the division of the project from the company participating in the collaboration. In addition, there is an advantage in that it can eliminate opportunism and the conflict caused by sharing the existing shares among the companies participating in the collaboration. In spite of the necessity of collaboration among SMEs, it is assumed that there is a lack of trust among companies. In contrast, Collaboration companies are already in operation in Italy (Network Contract Law), Japan(New Alliance business) and Korea (Culture industry SPC). it and needs to be implemented immediately.

<P>Dendritic cells (DCs) are potent antigen-presenting cells that can be matured <I>in vitro</I> from immature dendritic cells (iDCs) in the presence of several biological agents such as cytokine cocktail, CD40L, TNF-a and antigen loading, which are necessary and achieved using various protocols, such as lipofection, passive pulse or electroporation. However, these DCs maturation protocols may cause with a significant loss of cells because of cellular attachment and spreading during culturing. Some biomaterials that influence adhesion and development of cells have been used in cell culture techniques, and it was thought that they might be applied on the culture of DCs. In this study, we used polyHEMA, which is a hydrogel coating biomaterial that prevents DCs from adherence, and investigated whether hydrogel coating affects the maturation of iDCs. The efficiency in the generation of mDCs was improved through hydrogel coating procedure and a dendritic cell maturation marker, CD83, was significantly increased in hydrogel-coated culture condition. The antigen-loaded mDCs from electroporation were further expressed the CD83. The mDCs generated in the hydrogel-coated culture condition showed more, longer and thicker dendrites, and produced more amounts of cytokines such as IL-12 and IFN-γ. Therefore, it was suggested that the hydrogel-coated culture condition could improve function of mDCs.<fn><P>Cheol-Hun Son and Jae-Ho Bae contributed equally to this work.</P></fn></P>
CNC LATHE 성능개선을 위한 검사방법에 대한 연구

An experimental investigation was conducted to analyze the effect of geometric structure of CNC lathe on the accuracy of machined work pieces. First, a detailed data base for summarizing inspection methods and items was made through literature reviews on the related standards and inspection guide lines. Secondly, performance tests were performed using a test equipment corrected according to the inspection guide lines. Results showed that accuracy of the work pieces was well controlled and satisfied geometric tolerances of the inspection guide lines proposed in this paper.
