Control Education Using Pendulum Apparatus
Hoshino, Tasuku,Yamakita, Masaki,Furuta, Katsuhisa Institute of Control 2000 Transaction on control, automation and systems eng Vol.2 No.3
The inverted pendulum is a typical example of unstable systems and has been used for verification of designed control systems. It is also very popular in control education in laboratories, serving as a good example to show the utility of the state space approach to the controller design. This paper shows two kinds of experiment using inverted pendulum: one is the stabilization of a single spherical inverted pendulum by a plane manipulator using visual feedback, and the other is the state transfer control of a double pendulum. In the former experiment, the feedback stabilization using a CCD camera has major importance as an example of controller implementation with non-contact measurement. The latter involves the standard stabilizing regulation method and nonlinear control techniques. The details of the experimental systems, the control algorithms and the experimental results will be given.
Biocompatibility and bioactive potential of the NeoMTA Plus endodontic bioceramic-based sealer
Hoshino Roberto Alameda,Delfino Mateus Machado,da Silva Guilherme Ferreira,Guerreiro-Tanomaru Juliane Maria,Tanomaru-Filho Mário,Sasso-Cerri Estela,Cerri Paulo Sérgio 대한치과보존학회 2021 Restorative Dentistry & Endodontics Vol.46 No.1
Objectives: This study evaluated the biocompatibility and bioactive potential of NeoMTA Plus mixed as a root canal sealer in comparison with MTA Fillapex. Materials and Methods: Polyethylene tubes filled with NeoMTA Plus (n = 20), MTA Fillapex (n = 20), or nothing (control group, CG; n = 20) were inserted into the connective tissue in the dorsal subcutaneous layer of rats. After 7, 15, 30 and 60 days, the specimens were processed for paraffin embedding. The capsule thickness, collagen content, and number of inflammatory cells (ICs) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) immunolabeled cells were measured. von Kossa-positive structures were evaluated and unstained sections were analyzed under polarized light. Two-way analysis of variance was performed, followed by the post hoc Tukey test (p ≤ 0.05). Results: At 7 days, the capsules around NeoMTA Plus and MTA Fillapex had more ICs and IL-6-immunostained cells than the CG. However, at 60 days, there was no significant difference in the IC number between NeoMTA Plus and the CG (p = 0.1137) or the MTA Fillapex group (p = 0.4062), although a greater number of IL-6-immunostained cells was observed in the MTA Fillapex group (p = 0.0353). From 7 to 60 days, the capsule thickness of the NeoMTA Plus and MTA Fillapex specimens significantly decreased, concomitantly with an increase in the collagen content. The capsules around root canal sealers showed positivity to the von Kossa stain and birefringent structures. Conclusions: The NeoMTA Plus root canal sealer is biocompatible and exhibits bioactive potential.
CVD and Sputtering-reflow Copper Metalization Technique with CMP
Hoshino, M.,Furumura, Y. The Korean Vacuum Society 1995 Applied Science and Convergence Technology Vol.4 No.s1
We review the copper CVD line, via fill properties, and CMP line resistance. With CVD, trenches and vias with high aspect ratio(above 3) can be filled completely. Sputtering-reflow technique, a new method to filling copper into lines, is also reviewed to compare the CVD process.
Transition from Ethno-centric to Global Operation : A Case of Japanese Tramp Shipping
HOSHINO, Hiroshi 한국해운물류학회 2004 해운물류연구 Vol.43 No.-
Shipping business based in Japan has drastically changed since the Plaza Accord in 1985 along with transplant of Japanese manufacturing companies. Besides the conventional strategy of globalization of shipping business such as hiring seafarers of developing countries and flagging out its fleet to Flag of Convenience countries, Japanese shipping companies increased cross trading services bypassing Japanese ports and established regional headquarters to manage area operation in Asia, North America and Europe more efficiently and effectively. They had originally expanded overseas routes from and to Japanese ports with typical ethno-centric management style since their early incorporations. However, findings demonstrate that global operation of Japanese shipping companies have started from `unintentional global operation' then shifted to `reactive global operation' following their customers and was further developed to proactive global operation. If structure follows the strategy as Alfred Chandler Jr. mentioned, their typical ethno-centric management style must change in accordance with global operation. This paper analyzes the current situation and the future form of their operation through tramp shipping of major Japanese shipping firms.
