        Floristic characteristics of vascular plants and first distributional report of Pseudostellaria baekdusanensis M. Kim in Yongneup wetland protected area

        Yongneup wetland protected area, the only high moor in Korea, is a core area to conserve biodiversity. Even though the Yongneup wetland protected area is relatively small, various plant species are distributed in the Yongneup wetland protected area because it includes various habitats showing different environmental gradients. Vascular plants distributed in the Yongneup wetland protected area were identified as a total of 376 taxa that is composed of 73 families, 217 genera, 322 species, 3 subspecies, 44 varieties and 7 forms. For endangered plants designated by the Ministry of Environment, 5 species including Trientalis europaea var. arctica, Lilium dauricum, Halenia corniculata, Lychnis wilfordii and Menyanthes trifoliata were found and 34 taxa were confirmed to be distributed only in the mountainous wetland habitats. Regarding naturalized plants, a total of 11 taxa were distributed, but most of them were distributed in the areas where artificial interference has occurred. And in areas inside the wetlands that are relatively well preserved, 2 species of Bidens frondosa and Erigeron annuus were observed. In this study, the occurrence and distribution of Pseudostellaria baekdusanensis M. Kim, which was recently found in Mt. Baekdu and reported as a new species, were identified in the Yongneup wetland protected area. A wetland is a very vulnerable area to drastic environmental changes and damages to its ecosystem could cause the extinction of rare plant species which are distributed only in the wetlands. Therefore, it is mandatory that current status of the Yongneup wetland protected area is evaluated and actions to prevent rapid environmental changes are taken. Fourteen separate investigations were conducted in 2013 and another four in 2014, to evaluate current status of the Yongneup wetland protected area. These investigations have provided us the basic information for future actions of conservation and restoration.

      • 일부지역 중·고등학생들의 흡연실태 조사연구

        This study was conducted to examine aspects of middle and high school students' drinking and smoking with analysis of related factors. The subjects of this study was 540 students in Kyungbuk Province. Data were collected from July, 2002 to September, 2002. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. 43.6% of the boy students experienced smoking, while 12.2% of the girl students experienced it. 5.3% of the students at academy schools experienced smoking, while 44.7% of the students at vocational schools experienced it. 11.4% of the middle school students experienced smoking, while 33.9% of the high school students experienced it. 15.5% of them who lived in towns or villages experienced smoking and 38.3% of them who lived in small or medium sized cities experienced it.37.5% of the students who belonged to the lower economic class experienced smoking and 20.7% of the students who belonged to the upper economic class experienced it. 24.0% of the students who belonged to the middle economic class experienced it. It appears that the respondents showed significantly different smoking experience rates by gender, school types, grades, the number of family members, residences, and economic classes. 2. 14.5% of the respondents who lived with grandparents and parents experienced smoking and 26.5% of them who lived with parents experienced it. The smoking rate was significantly high in the groups of having one-parent, being unsatisfied with family life, making poor grades in studies, and having the father or the mother working as a salesperson. 3. 45.3% of the respondents who were unsatisfied with family life experienced smoking. The smoking rate of the respondents who were unsatisfied with it was significantly higher than that of the other groups. On the other hand, the smoking rates were not significantly different by daily life, schoolmate relation, health condition, and feeling stress. 4. According to smoking rate by frequency of drinking, 16.4% of the respondents who drank less than once a month smoked and 54.8% of them who drank more than twice a month smoked. The more frequently they drank, the higher their smoking rate was. Those who did exercise displayed significantly higher smoking rate than those who did not do exercise. Among the rates of the respondents' agonies, family disharmony was 50.5% and love problem was 39.2%. Economic condition preblem was 34.6%. It appeared that smoking was most influenced by the family disharmony. 5. The factors significantly influencing smoking experience were gender, school grade, schoolmate relation, score in studies, and exercise. From above results, it can be concluded that the students' smoking is a serious problems which can be resolved by simple approaches because it is interrelated complicatedly with gender, grade, family, school, etc. Schools, related organizations, and the government must closely work together to maximize the effectiveness of policy implementation concerning the smoking and drinking problem of the middle and high school students.

        전유전체 서열 분석과 가시화를 위한 워크벤치 개발과 응용

        An increasing number of genome sequencing projects results in explosive growth of whole genome sequences. Furthermore the number of studies on the functions of individual genes has also been rapidly increased. However on-memory algorithms are not applicable to the analysis of whole genome sequences, since the size of individual whole gene a ranges from several million base pairs to hundreds billion base pairs. In order to effectively manipulate the huge sequence data, it is necessary to use the indexed data structure for external memory. In this paper, we introduce the development and application of the workbench for the analysis and visualization of whole genome sequences using string B-tree that is suitable for the analysis of huge data. This system consists of two main parts, the analysis query part and the visualization part. The query system supports various transactions such as pattern matching, k-occurrence, and k-mer analysis. The visualization system helps biologists to easily understand whole genome structure and specificity by various kinds of visualization such as whole genome sequence viewer, annotation viewer, CGR (Chaos Game Representation) viewer, k-mer viewer, RWP (Random Walk Plot) viewer, and map viewer. We can find the relationships among organisms, support gene prediction in a genome, and study the function of junk DNA using our workbench. In this paper, we apply our workbench to investigating specific sequence such as avoided sequence, common sequence, and classifiable sequence.

      • 사람태아골모세포에 대한 GBM의 골형성 유도에 관한 효과

        The purpose of the present study was to investigate the effects of GBM on the activity, differentiation and alkaline phosphatase(ALP) synthesis of hFOB1s. To examine the cellular activity, hFOB1s were cultured with DMEM/F-12 1:1 Mixture and 100 ㎍, 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg of GBM for 2 days and 4 days. To compare the ALP synthesis, hFOB1s were cultured with DMEM/F-12 1:1 Mixture and 100 ㎍, 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg of GBM for 3days. The cellular activity of hFOB1s treated with 100 ㎍ of GBM was increased at 2 and 4-day(p>0.05) to control. The activity of ALP in hFOB1s treated with 100 ㎍ GBM was significantly increased at 3 day(p<0.05). This study indicated that 100 ㎍ of GBM has an inductive effect on bone formation in vitro increasing with cell proliferation, ALP activity.

      • 혼합유의 이화학적 특성에 관한 연구

        The objective of this study was to investigate the physicochemical characteristics of binary and ternary oil systems. Materials used in this experiment were four edible oils i. e. sesame, soybean, red-pepper seed and Sancho (Zanthoxylum schinifolium) seed oils. The physicochemical properties of mixed oils, as well as the inductive period of oxidation, were measured. The results obtained are as follows : 1. The optimum mixing ratios of sesame oil with each of soybean, red-pepper seed and Sancho seed oils, which still maintained a characteristic sesame oil flavor, were 1 : 3,1 : 0.5 and 1 : 0.5, respectively. 2. Sesame, soybean and red-pepper seed oils showed low acid and peroxide values. In contrast, however, Sancho seed oil showed the very high values, and acid, peroxide and TBA values were 17. 4, 28.6 and 1.8, respectively, Among the oils, soybean oil gave the longest induction period of oxidation and Sancho seed oils the shortest, and the induction period was increased in order of Sanch seed, red-pepper seed, sesame and soybean oils. 3. Binary oil system such as a mixed oil of seasame oil and each of soybean and red-pepper seed oils did not show any significant change in acid, peroxide and TBA values, but a mixed oil of sesame oil and Sancho seed oils gave a drastic change in acid (7.2), peroxide (12.3), and TBA (0.2) values. All the binary oil systems extended their induction periods of oxidation. 4. In ternary oil system, a mixed oil of sesame, soybean and red-pepper sees oils did not show any significant change in acid and peroxide values. In contrast, however, mixed oils of sesame, red -pepper seed and Sancho seed oils in the ratios of 1 : 1 : 1 and 4.5, 8.9 and 0.13 in the ratio of 1 : 0.25 : 0.25, respectively. All the ternary oil systems also extended the induction period of oxidation.

        상악동에 발생한 치성각화낭종

        Odontogenic keratocyst is one of the jaw cysts which have high recurrence rate and aggressive behavior. The radiographic findings and clinical symptoms of this disease are similar with other jaw cyst. So the final diagnosis requires the histopathologic confirmation and the patiend should be examined periodically due to recurrence rate of this disease. This was the case of odontogenic keratocyst including a tooth which is in the left maxillary sinus. We thought it was a dentigerous cyst including a tooth preoperatively. The lesion was enucleated with yellow cheese-like material and histopathologic findings revealed abundant keratinizing debris, lining epithelium characterized by palisaded basal layer, orthokeratosis, and multifocal parakeratosis.

      • Ciprofloxacin 제제의 생물학적 동등성에 관한 연구

        국내 시판중인 ciprofloxacin 제제인 Citopcin®(250㎎ tablet)의 동등성을 검토하기 위해 제조원인 Bayer사의 Citopcin®(250㎎ tablet)를 기준제제로 하여 18명의 건강한 남성 피험자를 대상으로 500㎎ 1회 교차 경구 투여후 약동학적 성상을 분석비교한 결과는 다음과 같다. 시험제제의 생체 이용율의 지표인 AUC, C_(mao), T_(max) 및 MRT들의 평균치는 백분율차이에 있어 모든 기준제제 지표의 ± 20% 이내였으며, 이들 생체 이용율 지표들은 분산분석 검정에서 차이를 인지할 수 없었다.생체 이용율 지표들의 기준제제에 대한 백분율 90% 대칭 신뢰구간 검토시 모든 경수들에서 ± 20% 이내의 조건을 만족하였으며 AUC의 경우에는 대칭형 신뢰구간으로 변환시 95% 신뢰구간에서도 동등성의 조건을 만족하였다, 이상의 시험결과로 시험제제인 Citopcin®은 기준제제인 Ciprobay®와 생물학적 동등한 제제로 판단되었다. The pharmacokinetics of ciprofloxacin was studied for the evaluation of the bioequivalence of the generic ciproflocacin products. Two single doses of 500㎎ each of ciprofloxacin(Ciprobay® 250㎎ tablet as a reference compound and Citopcin® 250㎎ tablet s a test compound) were administered orally to ighteen male volunteers in a balanced, randomized crossover design. Pek plasma levels of ciprofloxacin were observed about 1 hour after the doses and the peak concentrations of both products were similar(Ciprobay®, 3.18㎍/㎖; Citopcin®, 2.89㎍/㎖). The values of other pharmacokinetic parameter of ciprofloxacin computed for Ciprobay® are presented in that order: AUC=13.53:12.47㎍·h/㎖, T_(max)=1.28:1.14 hours; MRT=5.30:5.08 hours; t_(1/2)β=3.65:3.47 hours. No satistically significant, differences were detected when AUC and the other parameters were compared with the method of ANOVA. Using the criteria of 90% confidence interval for the assessment of bioequivalence al the parameters were acceptable. The products were found to be equivalent on the premise that no significant difference was detected when the relevant pharmacokinetic parameters were compared, and the confidence limit analysis showed acceptable results.

        Photographic survey is possible that it can survey the simultaneous three-dimensional survey about so many points, therefore it is so fast and precisely. We takes a snap the objects with digital carema, and input the data to the computer from this data. We can take the three-dimensional coordinate through relative orientation, absolute orientation and have to check the merit of three-dimensional suveying. Otherwise we can get the error in one centimeter after analysis three-dimension coordinate and we can get the higher precise accuracy cause to set the camera angle of 20∼45 degrees.
