      • Color Measure in the Fiction of Mo Yan’s Red Sorghum

        Han Dan,Hu Ming Hai 한국색채학회 2017 AIC 2017 Jeju Vol.2017 No.10

Famous writers` novels are often made into movies or TV drama, the audience of these mass media works and popular art is the masses, need to be recognized by the public. We propose a way to convert the virtual colors description in the novel into the actual application colors. In the experiment, evaluate the color words in the novel by the Munsell color sample. First of all, We choose some color words in the red sorghum, then, We invited 100 experimenter for each color words to choose what they think appropriate color samples from Monsell color card and record the three-dimensional numbers of these colors H V / C. to statistical who is the most times be selected color samples. Record the most be selected color samples and the average. The experimental results is systematically recommended the color range that by the public recognized and properly embodies this novel’s color words, to avoid the color of the novel in the film and TV drama in the wrong reproduction, eliminate the discontent of the public and Receive disorder.

Comparison of the Refractive Measurements with Hand-held Autorefractometer, Table-mounted Autorefractometer and Cycloplegic Retinoscopy in Children

        Handan Akil,Soner Keskin,Cemal Çavdarli 대한안과학회 2015 Korean Journal of Ophthalmology Vol.29 No.3

Purpose: To evaluate the performance of the hand-held and table-top autorefractokeratometer in measuring refractive errors by comparing them with cycloplegic retinoscopy. Methods: Included in the study were 112 eyes of 112 pediatric patients whose mean age was 6.78 ± 2.61 years (range, 2 to 12 years). The refractive errors of all the eyes were measured with and without cycloplegia using a hand held autorefractokeratometer (Retinomax K-plus 3), table top autorefractokeratometer (Canon RK-F1) and performing cycloplegic retinoscopy. The spherical equivalent, cylindrical axis and keratometer values were statistically compared. Results: The mean spherical equivalent obtained from the Retinomax K-plus 3 was significantly less hyperopic than that of Canon RK-F1 (p = 0.004) before cycloplegia. When the Bland Altman analysis was performed in comparisons of spherical equivalent values measured with the Retinomax K-plus 3, Canon RK-F1 and cycloplegic retinoscopy, it was seen that almost all of the differences between the measurements remained within the range of ±2 standard deviation. Good agreement was found between Retinomax K-plus 3 and Canon RKF1 for the Jackson cross-cylinder values at axis 0° and 45°; keratometer values respectively. Conclusions: The refractive error components were highly correlated between the two instruments and cycloplegic retinoscopy.

        Handan Mert,Hikmet Yılmaz,Kıvanc Irak,Serkan Yıldırım,Nihat Mert 한국축산식품학회 2018 한국축산식품학회지 Vol.38 No.2

Thisstudy aims to investigate the protective effects of kefir against myocardial infarction induced by isoproterenol (ISO). The rats were randomly divided into 4 groups, each group consisting of 8 rats. The control group, the kefir group (5 mL/kg/d kefir administered to rats as intra-gastric gavage for 60 d), the ISO group (100 mg/kg ISO was administered to rats, s.c. on 61. and 62. d), and kefir+ISO group (5 mL/kg/d kefir was administered to rats intra gastric gavage for 60 days prior to ISO, 100 mg/kg in twodoses on day 61 and 62). 12 h after the last ISO dose, all rats were decapitated and their blood samples were collected. Cardiac tissue was reserved for histopathological examination. creatine kinase (CK), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), triglycerides, total cholesterol, very low density lipoprotein (VLDL), low density lipoprotein (LDL), high density lipoprotein (HDL) and glucose were measured by autoanalyzer, whole blood malondialdehyde (MDA), glutathione (GSH) and plasma advanced oxidation protein products (AOPP) levels were measured spectrophotometrically. It was determined that in the group of kefir+ISO, the levels of AST (p

Can Auditory and Vestibular Findings Differentiate Vestibular Migraine and Meniere’s Disease?

        Yaman Handan,Polat Burcu,Şerbetçioğlu Mustafa Bülent 대한청각학회 2023 Journal of Audiology & Otology Vol.27 No.2

Background and Objectives: Besides evaluating the auditory and vestibular systems of patients with vestibular migraine (VM) and Meniere’s disease (MD), this study aimed to examine the clinical overlaps between these two conditions by detailed evaluation of the patient’s symptoms.Subjects and Methods: The ears of the patients with VM and MD were evaluated and patients’ vestibular and auditory complaints were questioned particularly. Pure tone audiometry, vestibular evoked myogenic potential (VEMP) responses, and caloric test results were evaluated for objective measurements. Results: The VM group had better air-conduction and boneconduction threshold and speech reception threshold and speech discrimination score test values (p<0.05). Regarding the interaural N1-P1 asymmetry ratio, the cervical VEMP between the groups had significant differences (p=0.019). The MD group had more unilateral tinnitus and ear fullness complaints and canal paresis results (p<0.01). The VM group had more motion sickness complaints (p<0.01).Conclusions: If only ears with hearing loss are evaluated; there was no significant difference between VM and MD, but regardless of hearing level or only the patients with normal hearing were evaluated, the VM group had better hearing levels. It should be considered that patients with VM may have VM-independent hearing loss, and patient complaints should be sufficiently detailed to make an accurate distinction from MD.

The Impact of Inflammatory and Infectious Diseases of Vulvar on Quality of Life

( Kıymet Handan Kelekci ),( Selcuk Ozyurt ),( Bulent Ozkan ),( Semsettin Karaca ),( Ali Karakuzu ),( Ilgul Bilgin ) 대한폐경학회 2016 대한폐경학회지 Vol.22 No.3

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of vulvar dermatoses (VD) and vulvar infections (VE) on anxiety, depression scores, general, and dermatological quality of life (QOL) of women. Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional survey on patients diagnosed with VD and VE. All patients were assessed using a sociodemographic form, Skindex-29 scale, World Health Organization QOL (WHOQOL) BREF scale, Hamilton anxiety rating scale (HAM-A), Hamilton depression rating scale (HAM-D). Results: HAM-A score was significantly higher in the VD group than in the control group. Based on age groups, all subscales of Skindex-29 were found to be higher in women > 50 years. For women with severe pruritus, the symptom subscale was higher in patients with skin involvement and the function and emotion subscales were higher in patients with and emotion subscales were higher in patients with mucosal involvement. Conclusions: We found that VD was particularly significantly associated with decreased QOL. (J Menopausal Med 2016;22:131-138)

        EXTENSIONS OF STRONGLY π-REGULAR RINGS

        Huanyin Chen,Handan Kose,Yosum Kurtulmaz 대한수학회 2014 대한수학회보 Vol.51 No.2

An ideal I of a ring R is strongly π-regular if for any x ∈ I there exist n ∈ N and y ∈ I such that xn = xn+1y. We prove that every strongly π-regular ideal of a ring is a B-ideal. An ideal I is periodic provided that for any x ∈ I there exist two distinct m, n ∈ N such that xm = xn. Furthermore, we prove that an ideal I of a ring R is periodic if and only if I is strongly π-regular and for any u ∈ U(I), u−1 ∈ Z[u].

      • Determining the Knowledge of Women and Their Attitudes Regarding Gynecological Cancer Prevention

Bekar, Mine,Guler, Handan,Evcili, Funda,Demirel, Gulbahtiyar,Duran, Ozlem Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2013 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.14 No.10

The current study determines the knowledge of female course attendees of the "Municipality Cultural Center for Women", located in the city center of Sivas, Turkey, and their attitudes regarding gynecological cancer prevention. The participants of the study include 497 women attending one of the two Municipality Cultural Centers situated in the city center of Sivas. In this study, the sample was not selected; all participants were encompassed within the scope of our research. A total of 418 female course attendees who volunteered to participate in the research were identified as the sample. The data were collected during the months March-June 2011, by a questionnaire developed by the researchers. To compare the distribution of the collected data "Anova", "two independent t test examples" and "chi square test" were used. The research indicates that 45.1% of the women had had gynecological examination as a consequence of a physical disorder. The reason for 54.9% of the women to have gynecological examination is to have been scanned to check for gynecological cancer, 51.2% had a pap smear test. Some 34.9% of them had obtained information about cervical cancer, 39.7% via radio, television or internet and 36.3% from a doctor. Age, education level and marital status of the women participating in this study demonstrated statistically significant correlations (p<0.05) with gynecological examination and undergoing a pap smear test.

SYMMETRICITY AND REVERSIBILITY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF NILPOTENTS

        Harmanci, Abdullah,Kose, Handan,Ungor, Burcu Korean Mathematical Society 2021 대한수학회논문집 Vol.36 No.2

In this paper, we deal with the question that what kind of properties does a ring gain when it satisfies symmetricity or reversibility by the way of nilpotent elements? By the motivation of this question, we approach to symmetric and reversible property of rings via nilpotents. For symmetricity, we call a ring R middle right-(resp. left-)nil symmetric (mr-nil (resp. ml-nil) symmetric, for short) if abc = 0 implies acb = 0 (resp. bac = 0) for a, c ∈ R and b ∈ nil(R) where nil(R) is the set of all nilpotent elements of R. It is proved that mr-nil symmetric rings are abelian and so directly finite. We show that the class of mr-nil symmetric rings strictly lies between the classes of symmetric rings and weak right nil-symmetric rings. For reversibility, we introduce left (resp. right) N-reversible ideal I of a ring R if for any a ∈ nil(R), b ∈ R, being ab ∈ I implies ba ∈ I (resp. b ∈ nil(R), a ∈ R, being ab ∈ I implies ba ∈ I). A ring R is called left (resp. right) N-reversible if the zero ideal is left (resp. right) N-reversible. Left N-reversibility is a generalization of mr-nil symmetricity. We exactly determine the place of the class of left N-reversible rings which is placed between the classes of reversible rings and CNZ rings. We also obtain that every left N-reversible ring is nil-Armendariz. It is observed that the polynomial ring over a left N-reversible Armendariz ring is also left N-reversible.
