Design of a Robust Stable Flux Observer for Induction Motors
Huh, Sung-Hoi,Seo, Sam-Jun,Choy, Ick,Park, Gwi-Tae The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2007 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.2 No.2
This paper presents a robustly adaptive flux observer for speed-sensorless induction motor control. The proposed approach employs additional robustifying signals to cope with the parametric uncertainties instead of designing an estimator, which has been normally used in power electronic drives. For that, the sliding-mode like adaptive controls are designed and their gain parameters are determined so that the observer dynamics are stable in the sense of Lyapunov, and furthermore they can guarantee the robustness against parametric uncertainties in induction motor systems. Estimated rotor speed is to be used to generate feedback control signal for the speed sensorless vector control system. To show the validity and efficiency of the proposed system, simulation results are presented.

The feeding habits of Repomucenus lunatus were studied using 232 specimens collected from January to December 2006 in the coastal waters off Gori, Korea. The size of R. lunatus ranged from 4.7 to 14.0cm in standard length (SL). R. lunatus was a bottom- feeding camivore which consumed mainly amphipids and polychaeres. lts diet also included small quantities of shrimps, cumaceans, bivalvies, gastropods, cravbl, copeods, euphausia, mysids, stomatopods, ostracods and sipunculides. Amphioks were eaaten predominantly for the smallest size class. The proportions of polychaetes increased qrakually with increasing fish size and large size class of R. lunarus mainly consumed poly-chdetes. The feeding strategy graphical method revealed that R. lunatus is a specialized feeder. The mean number and weight of preys per stomach of alrger size cl asses were higher than those of smaller size classes. The mean weight of preys per stomach ontogneeetically changed with size classes.

Seasonal variation in species composition and abundance of fish larvae assemblages in the south-western Jinhae Bay were investigated monthly in 2009. During the study period, 49 larvae species belonging to 24 families were collected. The dominant species were Clupea pallasii, Hexagrammos otakii, Konosirus punctatus, Engraulis japonicus, Parablennius yatabei, and Omobranchus elegansei. These six species accounted for 92.7% of the total number of individuals collected. The number of species, number of individuals, and species diversity indices fluctuated with the seasons. The peak number of species and individuals occurred in July and January, respectively. Principal component analysis (PCA) and correlation analysis showed that variation in monthly water temperature could act as an indicator of seasonal variation in community structure and abundance of the dominant species; in particular, those of C. pallasii, H. otakii, E. japonicus and P. yatabei corresponded with the water temperature.

A total of 164 individuals of Hippocampus coronatus were collected from an eelgrass bed in Dongdae Bay, Korea from September 2006 to August 2007. The number of individuals of H. coronatus was higher in September 2006. The size of H. coronatus ranged from 2.4 to 9.3cm in height (Ht), and most of individuals were small size below 5cm (Ht). H. coronatus was a carnivore which consumed mainly gammarid amphipods and copepods. Its diets also included a small amount ofmysids, ostracods, brachiopods, caprellid amphipods, bathynellaceas, isopods, tanaids, and ascothoracids The diets of H. coronatus underwent size-related changes; smaller individuals consumed copepods, while larger individuals ate gammarid amphipods and mysids. The dietary breadth index of H. coronatus was increased with increasing of their size.

The feeding habits of spearnose grenadier (Coelorinchus multispinulosus) were studied using 361 specimens collected from January to December 2005~2006 in the coastal waters off Gori,Korea. The size of C. multispinulosus ranged from 1.5 to 8.5 cm in anal length (AL). C. multispinulosus was crustacean feeder that consumes mainly consumed shrimps and amphipods. Its diet also included small quantities of copepods, mysids, cumaceans, stomatopods, crabs, polychaetes and fishes. C. multispinulosus mainly consumed shrimps in all size classes and seasons except the smallest size class in summer which mainly consumed amphipods. Smaller individuals secondly consumed amphipods, copepods and mysids, and the portion of these prey items in the total diet decreased as body size.
