        Vietnamese consumers have increasingly concerned about CSR however the linkage between perceived CSR and customer behavior has not been adequately explained in Vietnam context. This paper aims at investigating how Vietnamese customers’ perception of CSR influences their loyalty to retailers as well as testing the mediating roles of relationship quality (customer satisfaction and trust) on such influence. The findings will provide valuable strategic implications for Vietnamese supermarkets in designing effective customer-retention programs. The results of this study are in line with previous researches that support the direct positive effect of perceived CSR on customer loyalty. Moreover, this study demonstrates the paths from perceived CSR on customer loyalty in Vietnam retailing context in which the mediating roles of customer trust and customer satisfaction are affirmed. The possible reason is that consumers associate good CSR with positive evaluation of the retailer’s trustworthiness as well as its products and services that enhance relationship quality and loyalty.

        Indirect MPC method with improved output voltage and current waveforms for MMCs

        This paper focuses on a nonrequired weighting factor tuning task model predictive control (MPC) approach with improved steady-state performance, resulting in better harmonic distortion in output current and voltage for a single-phase modular multilevel converter (MMC) system. For the proposed indirect MPC technique, two independent control stages are designed to achieve various control objectives at once without the use of weighting factors. The first stage includes a single cost function, only related to the output current to generate a temporary quantity of inserted submodules (SMs). A circulating current regulation using predicted value is proposed to obtain the total quantity of inserted SMs regarding the circulating current suppression. The final quantity of inserted SMs is adjusted and generated from the temporary quantity to be used in a voltage sorting algorithm. Without the use of weighting factors, the control objectives in the MMC system can be achieved using the proposed indirect MPC. The output current and voltage have a considerable improvement over that of the conventional indirect MPC. The simulation and experimental outcomes validate that the proposed approach is correct and feasible.

      • A New Bearing-Only Navigation Law

        This paper proposes a new bearing-only control law which can be used for autonomous navigation task. We firstly compare the proposed control law with a commonly used control law in the literature when the agent navigates with only one beacon. Second, we prove that if there are two or more beacons, the agent can almost globally asymptotically reaches the desired position under the proposed control law. Third, the proposed control law is then applied to a cooperative bearing-only navigation problem. Simulation result is given to support the mathematical analysis.

        Effective Elimination of Charge-associated Toxicity of Low Generation Polyamidoamine Dendrimer Eases Drug Delivery of Oxaliplatin

        Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer is emerging as an effective nanocarrier for delivering anticancer drugs. Still, unmodified PAMAM dendrimer is hardly used in vivo because of unsatisfied drug release, high tendency of interfering with cellular membranes, and rapid clearance by reticuloendothelial system. In this study, low generation polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer G3.0 is developed and surface modified with methoxypolyethylene glycol (PAMAM G3.0-mPEG) to overcome its limitations. Specifically, PAMAM G3.0 conjugated with mPEG at different ratios are investigated to effectively eliminate its charge-associated toxicity, in which PAMAM G3.0-mPEG- 8 is chosen for oxaliplatin (OX) loading. Results reveal that OX-loaded PAMAM G3.0-mPEG-8 has desirable size, good entrapment efficiency, and sustained release with minimum drug leakage. In addition, Resazurin assay indicates that the toxicity of loaded OX is reduced as compared to free drug but still maintain substantially anticancer activity on HeLa cells, suggesting the potential application of PAMAM G3.0-mPEG-8 for OX delivery in cancer therapy.

        Magnetic Properties of Bulk Nd50Co10Fe30Al10-xVx Alloys

        This paper presents the results of study on the structure and the properties of the bulk Nd50Co₁0Fe₃0Al₁0xVx (x = 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10) alloys prepared by arc-melting and suction cast- ing with water cooling. The cast surfaces of the samples are partly crystalline and the amorphous volume fraction increases with distance into cast samples. With increasing V content, the crys- tallization volume fraction increases and for x = 10, the alloy is fully crystallized. In general, the melting temperature increases, but Ms and Hc decrease with V content. The Curie temperature increases clearly from 430 K (x = 0) to 512 K (x = 10). Thermomagnetic measurements of all samples done in low elds indicate the existence of the Hopkinson effect, which shows a coherent rotation magnetization and a strong reduction of the magnetic anisotropy in partly crystallized sam- ples. The eld-cooled (FC) and the zero field-cooled (ZFC) curves measured in low elds reveal an obvious separation from each other at low temperatures, pointing to the existence of a cluster-glass state. The cluster-glass fraction decreases with increasing V content in the samples.         Hydroxyapatite Nano-Rods/Chitosan Modified Glassy Carbon Electrode for Cu(II) Ions Determination

        In this work, we propose a simple approach for fabrication of an electrochemical sensor for copper (II) ion determination in aqueous solution based on using a hydroxyapatite nano-rods/chitosan (HA/CS) nanocomposite coated on glassy carbon electrode (GCE) surface. Firstly, hydroxyapatite (HA) nano-rods has been synthesized by a simple precipitation reactions using Ca(OH)2 slurry and orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4) as precursors. After that, as-synthesized HA was dispersed into chitosan (CS) matrix to HA/CS-modify GCE by a drop casting technique. Characteristic of HA and HA/CS coating on GCE have been analysed by Transmission/Scanning Electron Microscope (TEM/SEM), X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Fourier-Transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) techniques. Electrochemical activities of neat GCE, CS-modified GCEs (GCE/CS) and HA/CS-modified GCE (GCE/HA/CS) have been evaluated in sodium acetate (NaAc-HAc) buffer with presence/absence of Ni2+, Co2+ or Cu2+ ions to test whether sensitive and selective of these developed Cu2+ sensors. Evaluated results demonstrated that GCE/HA/CS sensor has a sensitivity to Cu2+ ion of 7.688 ± 0.5324 µA mM− 1, it is the most sensitive to Cu2+ ions compared with GCE or GCE/CS. In additional, proposed Cu2+ electrochemical sensor has been applied to determine Cu2+ ions concentration in tap water with a high recoveries was found.

        Eudesmols Induce Apoptosis through Release of Cytochrome c in HL-60 Cells

        We verified that the apoptosis activities were examined by DNA fragmentation, flow cytometric analysis with annexin V staining, activation of caspase-3, and cytochrome c release. In the result, $\alpha$- and $\beta$-eudesmol induced DNA fragmentation in HL-60 cells at a concentration of $80\;{\mu}M$, respectively. Additionally, pro-apoptotic cells sorted by flow cytometry analysis were detected in HL-60 cells to 31.77 and 29.67% with $\acute{a}$- and $\beta$-eudesmol of $80\;{\mu}M$. Thus, both $\alpha$- and $\beta$-eudesmol exerted caspase-3 activation and cytochrome c release at $80\;{\mu}M$ in HL-60 cells. These results are firstly reported that the sesquiterpenes, $\alpha$- and $\beta$-eudesmol are apoptosis inducers through mitochondria-dependent caspase cascade in HL-60 cells.

        The Moderating Role of CSR Associations on the Link between Brand Awareness and Purchase Intention

        This study uses the moderating model to explore the relationships between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) associations, brand awareness and consumer purchase intention. Besides investigating the direct effects of CSR associations on brand awareness and consumer purchase intention, this study also focuses on discovering the moderating role of CSR associations on the relationship between brand awareness and consumer purchase intention among Vietnamese students. Adapting scales from previous research, the authors distribute questionnaires to consumers across the country. Then, the validity and reliability are tested via Cronbach's alpha, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA). Moreover, by employing a meta-analytical path analysis with a sample of 686 consumers, the authors show that CSR associations play an important role in shaping purchase intention among Vietnamese consumers regarding the consumption of organic milk products. Also, CSR associations have a strong effect on brand awareness. However, our study shows that purchase intention is not directly affected by brand awareness. In other words, brand awareness does not mediate the relationship between CSR associations and purchase intention. Interestingly, authors show that CSR associations moderate the link between brand awareness and consumer purchase intention. Based on the research, some recommendations are made to companies that produce organic milk products.

        Growth of Loan Distribution and Bank Valuation: Evidence from Vietnam

        Purpose: The aim of this article is to test the link between growth of loan distribution and Bank Valuation in Vietnam's banking sector. At the same time, the study also compared the differences in the effect of growth of loan to valuation bank in banks of different sizes, ownership rates and bank values. Research design, data and methodology: With panel data estimation techniques along with robust standard error for a sample of the banks listed on Vietnam stock exchange from 2012 to 2019. Results: Growth of loan has a positive impact on Bank Valuation (by Tobin's Q). A closer investigation provides evidence for the differential valuation effect of loan growth depending on different features of banks. Specifically, loan growth is found positively and significantly associated with Bank Valuation in small and non-state-owned banks only. Besides, bank size, deposit, and return on equity are found negatively associated with Tobin's Q, while loan loss provisions exhibit a positive relation with this measure of Bank Valuation. Conclusions: These findings provide contributions to the literature on the existence of the effect of loan growth on Bank Valuation. At the same time, the study also provides practical implications for policy makers in banks and investors.
