The aim of the present recent study was to compare the protein patterns in the vaginal mucus of Hanwoo cattles during spontaneous and CIDR induced-estrus. Ten cattles, who had been observed in estrus, received no treatment and served as the group of cattles with normal spontaneous estrus. Thirteen cattles in the CIDR received an CIDR insert on day 14 were removed and cattles were injected GnRH on day 15. Vaginal mucus samples were collected from all cattles at the same time the single AI in cattles with spontaneous estrus and the AI in cattles with induced estrus. Spontaneous and CIDR-induced estrus vaginal mucus samples were analyzed on two different array surfaces: cation-exchange (CM10), anion-exchange (Q10). In addition, using the NaCl solution by which the proteins combined after washing are 0.5, 1 and 2 M, it was fractionated and a protein was collected successively. The results are summarized as follows: 1) Ionic surfaces chemistries (Q10 and CM10) gave the best results in terms of detectable protein peaks, with more than 100 protein peaks in the two fractions and under each condition. 2) Protein mass spectrometer using 11 different proteins in protein identification of 7 were able to determine the protein. List of identified proteins as follows; Ribosome-binding protein 1, GRIP 1-associated protein 1, Katanin p60 ATPase-containing subunit A-like 1, Protein FAM44A, DUF729 domain-containing protein 1, Prolactin precursor, Dihydrofolate erductase. Conclusively, on the basis of this study, protein expression in the vaginal mucus could be used as an indicator for time of estrus manifestation in order to increase conception rates by applying AI at an optional time.


캐패시터 배터리 기반의 도어록 장치 및 관제 시스템 설계

호텔, 리조트 등의 대형 숙박시설의 도어록 장치는 배터리 방식의 전자식 방식을 채용하고 있다. 기존의 도어록 장치는 배터리 상태를 고려한 교체 어려움과 더불이 원격에서 상태 감시를 통한 유지관의 어려움으로 인하여 비용 및 업무 효율의 저하 등의 문제가 발생되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 도어록 배터리의 수명 연장, 원격 상태감시가 가능한 시스템을 설계하고 기초 실험을 하였다. 특히 배터리수명연장을 위해서는 커패시터-일차전지 콤비네이션 배터리 시스템 연구를 통해 배터리 교체시기를 최대한 연장하고, Wi-Fi 기술을 접목하여 배터리 상태를 원격에서 감시 할 수 있는 시스템을 설계하였다. 그 효과를 입증하기 위하여 본 연구에서는 기초 실험을 하였다. 이를 통하여 도어록 배터리 교체 시스템의 기술적 기반을 마련하고 실시간 원격 감시를 통해 유지관리 측면에서 배터리 교체 시점의 적정성 확보를 통해 비용 절감의 업무의 효율성을 높이는데 기여할 수 있다고 판단된다.

이 논문은 지상에서 초소형 위성의 랑데부/도킹 알고리즘 개발을 위하여 미세중력환경을 모사해주는 5자유도 지상 테스트베드에 관하여 기술한다. 테스트베드는 지면과의 마찰력을 없애주는 하부와 이 하부에 연결되어 3자유도의 회전운동을 하는 상부로 구성된다. 영상기반의 항법알고리즘 개발을 위하여 카메라와 LIDAR, AHRS 센서를 사용하였고 액추에이터로는 8개의 냉가스 추력기와 3축 방향의 반작용 휠을 사용하였다. 모든 시스템 소프트웨어는 온보드와 리눅스를 기반으로 C++을 사용하여 구현되었다. This paper describes a 5-dof ground testbed which emulates micro-gravity environment for developing Rendezvous/docking algorithm of a nano-satellite. The testbed consists of two parts, the low part which eliminates friction force with ground and the upper part which has 3-dof rotational motion with respect to the low part. For Vison-based autonomous navigation algorithm, we use camera, LIDAR and AHRS as sensors and eight cold gas thrusters and three axis directional reaction wheels as actuators. All system software are implemented with C++ based on on-board computer and Linux OS.


Subcloning and Sequencing of β-Xylosidase Gene of Alkalophilic Bacillus sp. K17

The 5.0kb insert of pAX278, which was previously cloned, was reduced by various deletion and thus I. 4kb EcoRI-XbaI fragment was recloned into pUC19(pAK208). To increase β-xylosidase activity, the I. 4kb insert in pAK208 was recloned into expression vector, pKK223-3 (tac-promoter), and β-xylosidase activity in cell carring this plasmid (pKHR212) was increased was 3.5 times than that in pAX278. The complete nucleotide sequence of thermophilic alkalopilic Bacillus sp. K17 and its flanking regions were established. A 1263-bp open reading frame for β-xylosidase was observed. The molecular weight(50, 521 dalton) deduced from for β-xylosidase gene, was agreed with the result obtained by SDS-polyacry-lamide gel electrophoresis of the purified enzyme. The Shine-Dalgarno sequence was found-8 bp upstream of the initiation codon ATG. The 1-10 regions for promotor sequence of β-xylosidase gene were similar to the consensus sequence for B. subtilis RNA polymerase, and the-35 regions were different from all the known promotor for B. subtilis RNA polymerase.
