      • Hepatitis C virus p7 induces mitochondrial depolarization of isolated liver mitochondria

        <P>Hepatitis C virus (HCV)-encoded protein p7 is a viroporin that acts as an ion channel and is indispensable for HCV particle production. Although the main target of HCV p7 is the endoplasmic reticulum, it also targets mitochondria. HCV-infected cells show mitochondrial depolarization and ATP depletion; however, the function of HCV p7 in mitochondria is not fully understood. The present study demonstrated that treatment of isolated mouse liver mitochondria with the synthesized HCV p7 protein induced mitochondrial dysfunction. It also demonstrated that HCV p7 targeted isolated mouse liver mitochondria and induced mitochondrial depolarization. In addition, HCV p7 triggered matrix acidification and, ultimately, a decrease in ATP synthesis in isolated mitochondria. These findings indicate that targeting of mitochondria by HCV p7 in infected cells causes mitochondrial dysfunction to support HCV particle production. The present study provided evidence for the role of HCV p7 in mitochondria, and may lead to the development of novel strategies for HCV therapy.</P>

        The effect on photosynthesis and osmotic regulation in Beta vulgaris L. var. Flavescens DC. by salt stress

        This study was to investigate the effect of salt stress on physiological characteristics such as plant growth, photosynthesis, solutes related to osmoregulation of Beta vulgaris. A significant increase of dry weight was observed in 50 mM and 100 mM NaCl. The contents of Chl a, b and carotenoid were lower in NaCl treatments than the control. On 14 day after NaCl treatment, photosynthetic rate (P<sub>N</sub>), the transpiration rate (E) and stomatal conductance of CO<sub>2</sub> (g<sub>s</sub>) were reduced by NaCl treatment. On 28 day after NaCl treatment, the significant reduction in g<sub>s</sub> and E was shown in NaCl 200 mM. However, P<sub>N</sub> and water use efficiency (WUE) in all NaCl treatments showed higher value than that of control. Total ion contents (TIC) and osmolality were higher than the control. On 14 day after treatment, the contents of proline (Pro) increased significantly in 200 mM and 300 mM NaCl concentration compared with control, whereas on 28 day in all treatments it was lower than that of the control. The contents of glycine betaine (GB) increased with the increase of NaCl concentration. The contents of Na<sup>+</sup>, Cl<sup>-</sup>, GB, osmolality and TIC increased with the increase of NaCl concentrations. These results suggested that under severe NaCl stress conditions, NaCl treatment did not induce photochemical inhibition on fluorescence in the leaves of B. vulgaris, but the reduction of chlorophyll contents was related in a decrease in leaf production. Furthermore, increased GB as well as Na<sup>+</sup> and Cl<sup>-</sup> contents resulted in a increase of osmolality, which can help to overcome NaCl stress.

      • 전남지역 박물관 교육프로그램 운영현황과 활성화 방안

        본 연구는 전남지역 박물관의 교육프로그램 운영현황과 활성화방안을 살펴본 것이다. 박물관은 우리 사회의 문화거점 시설이며 양질의 문화생활을 창조하기 위한 학습의 장이다. 1980년대 이후 시대의 발전과 변화 속에서 박물관의 역할과 모습 또한 그에 맞춰 발전과 변화를 거듭해왔다. 하지만 이런 변화속에서 아직까지 지역박물관에서는 이런 문화향유 공간으로서의 역할에 미흡한 점이 있다. 지역 특성상 인구 밀집도가 떨어지고 고령화로 인해 박물관을 찾는 관람객은 제한적이며 재정적 부분의 한계로 인해 그만큼 전시나 교육 활동에도 제약을 받고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 지역박물관에 대한 인식을 바탕으로 전남지역 교육프로그램 문제점과 활성화 방안에 대해 살펴보았다. 첫째, 교육프로그램 유형의 다양화이다. 교육프로그램 유형의 편중화는 결국 내용 선정과 예산의 한계라는 치명적인 단점을 가지고 있기 때문에 프로그램 기획에 있어서 한 가지 주제를 정해 매회 형식의 변화를 준다면 프로그램 대상 편중화도 어느 정도 해소 될 것이고, 참여자는 지루하지 않고 질 좋은 교육프로그램을 제공 받을 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 둘째, 학예사 재교육 과정을 통한 학예인력 문제 해소이다. 재정적인 문제로 전문인력 확충이 어려운 상황이라면 학예사 재교육을 통한 직무역량 강화가 교육프로그램 운영의 어려움을 해소하는데 도움이 될 것으로 판단된다. 셋째, 자체 프로그램 기획 및 운영이다. 지역박물관이라는 이점을 살려 그 박물관에서만 할 수 있는 자체 프로그램을 운영한다면 목적이 뚜렷한 특수성을 얻게 되는 것이고, 비정기적이고 불확실한 지원사업에 의존하지 않고 안정적인 교육프로그램 운영이 가능하다. 이런 목적이 뚜렷한 특수성은 박물관 이미지 제고나 브랜드화 같은 간접소득에 영향을 준다. 그러므로 실현 가능성 있는 선에서 특수성을 이용한 자체 프로그램 운영은 꼭 필요하다고 판단된다. This study has a purpose of suggesting the vitalizing plan and considering the current situation of educational program which is run by a museum in Jeonnam District. As the interests and awareness of museum are growing and the importance of lifelong education is emphasized, various kinds of museums which can include school education and social education have been popping up. As 1980’s lifelong education and social education are focused on our society, the necessity of educational activities in museum have been started to get interests. The reason why the importance of culture is being emphasized as the society has been changing and advancing is that the more development and generalization of the civilization is progressed, the more distinctiveness of culture is intensified and the range of influence is expanded. Social phenomenons called as culture can create high added value with the role of medium that can show characteristics well of the way of people’s life in the area. Though museum has recognition and capability as a cultural transmission medium, still it should not be satisfied with maintaining current situation and continuously does research for the change and growth. The most effective way for local museum to activate as a cultural facility is running educational program to communicate with local people. Several local museums including Jeonnam area have been aware of the significance of vitalizing museum education program. However, it was needed to look into problems of current education program of local museums because there are some flaws in the actual management. On this study, examination and analysis of specific operation cases of museum education programs are proceeded and face-to-face interview mainly made up to seek a plan and find out problems. If there were museums which were difficult to visit, the research was based on a telephone interview and references of materials issued by each museum, for example reports, annals and etc. Nowadays museum classification system has become various and complicated. Among those, a method of comparative analysis according to managers is easy to figure out what kinds of problems museum education program does have. Also based on revealed problems it can present tasks to solve or directions heading to as running education program for museums. Problems being disclosed are an unequal distribution of education program managing type and shortage of experts. Three methods for activation are proposed to overcome those issues. Also problems of running education program are all originated from finance issues. Even though a lot of museums make efforts to offer better cultural benefits to visitors, finance problem is beyond their control so that it is shown as another task for museums in Jeonnam area to solve in future.

        Human Amniotic Fluid Stem Cell-derived Muscle Progenitor Cell Therapy for Stress Urinary Incontinence

        The most promising treatment for stress urinary incontinence can be a cell therapy. We suggest human amniotic fluid stem cells (hAFSCs) as an alternative cell source. We established the optimum in vitro protocol for the differentiation from hAFSCs into muscle progenitors. These progenitors were transplanted into the injured urethral sphincter and their therapeutic effect was analyzed. For the development of an efficient differentiation system in vitro, we examined a commercial medium, co-culture and conditioned medium (CM) systems. After being treated with CM, hAFSCs were effectively developed into a muscle lineage. The progenitors were integrated into the host urethral sphincter and the host cell differentiation was stimulated in vivo. Urodynamic analysis showed significant increase of leak point pressure and closing pressure. Immunohistochemistry revealed the regeneration of circular muscle mass with normal appearance. Molecular analysis observed the expression of a larger number of target markers. In the immunogenicity analysis, the progenitor group had a scant CD8 lymphocyte. In tumorigenicity, the progenitors showed no teratoma formation. These results suggest that hAFSCs can effectively be differentiated into muscle progenitors in CM and that the hAFSC-derived muscle progenitors are an accessible cell source for the regeneration of injured urethral sphincter.

        약최근 ‘경주 지진’과 태풍 ‘차바’ 등 자연재해 및 사이버 테러 등의 인적 재난으로 인해 많은 피해들이 속출하고 있다. 그 피해는 국민들의 불안으로 이어지고 있으며 국민과 직접적으로 연결되어 있는 공공기관 또한 그 위협을 비켜 갈 수는 없는 상황이다. 또한 재난 발생 시 공공기관의 업무 연속성은 국민들의 안전과 가장 근접해 있어 최우선적으로 준비되어야 하는 사안이다. 그런데, 기존의 연구들은 공공기관의 재해경감활동관리체계 구축의 필요성에 관한 연구나 중앙재난안전대책본부, 소방방재청 등의 주관부서 중심의 하향식 계획수립체계로 한정되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 재난 발생 시 공공기관의 업무연 속성계획에 대한 현황을 파악하고 공공기관의 업무연속성계획 의 효율적이고 현실적인 상향식 구축방안을 제시하였다 In recent years, lots of damages appear frequently due to cyber terrorism and natural disasters such as typhoon ‘Chaba’, earthquake at Kyeongju. The damages lead to people’s anxiety and public institutions connected directly with them also can’t be free from the threat situation. In addition, public institutions must prepare business continuity issues with the highest priority in the event of disasters because they are closest with people’s safety. However, preceding researches suggest needs of disaster mitigation activities management system or central office oriented top-down BCP establishing system. In this study, We grasp the current status of public institutions’s business continuity plan(BCP) against disaster and we propose an efficient bottom-up method for structuring the BCP of public institutions.

        Understanding the Behavior of Oxygen Vacancies in an SrFeOx/Nb:SrTiO3 Memristor

        SrFeO x resistive switching memory devices based on brownmillerite with an oxygen vacancy channel exhibit high durabilityand fast performance. In particular, a high on/off ratio of > 10 4 was observed when Nb-doped SrTiO 3 was used as the bottomelectrode. We studied a SrFeO x /Nb-doped SrTiO 3 (111) device with a high on/off ratio, and used in-situ transmission electronmicroscopy to examine the crystalline structures of the SrFeO x layer in the high and low resistance states. We employedelectron energy-loss spectroscopy to determine oxygen redistribution near the interface between the SrFeO x structure and Nb-doped SrTiO 3. The resistance increased when oxygen vacancies accumulated at the interface between Nb-doped SrTiO 3and perovskite SrFeO 3− δ , and decreased when oxygen ions fi lled the interface. In contrast, we observed little change in theoxygen concentration at the interface between Nb-doped SrTiO 3 and brownmillerite SrFeO 3− δ . We show that the resistanceof the SrFeO x /Nb-doped SrTiO 3 (111) device is mostly concentrated at the interface between the perovskite SrFeO 3− δ andNb-doped SrTiO 3 , which changes the barrier height.

        통합교육비 산출 현황과 과제

        본 연구는 2001년 학교회계 제도 도입으로 인한 표준교육비 산출과 중앙정부에서 지방자치단체로 이양된 특수교육비 지원 정책 이후 통합교육비(통합교육에 소요되는 경비) 지원과 관련하여 발생되는 문제를 해결하기 위해 이루어졌다. 이를 위해 시·도별 통합교육비 산출방법과 격차를 분석하여 제기되는 문제와 향후 과제를 모색하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애학생들에 대한 교육재정의 확충은 공평하고 객관적인 배분 기준이 마련되어야 하며, 지역별 균등한 교육여건 조성과 안정적인 재원 확보가 함께 이루어져야 한다. 이를 위해 장애학생들의 교육장면 및 장애영역별 특성 고려, 그리고 지역별 격차 해소를 위한 ‘표준교육비 산출’의 과제가 요구된다. 둘째, 장애학생들에 대한 교육비 차이도 계수는 적정하게 산정되어야 하며, 향후 장애학생들에 대한 표준교육비 산출이나 교육비 기준을 설정할 때 반드시 고려되어야 한다. 셋째, 장애학생들에 대한 지역별 교육사업내용의 격차 해소와 적정한 지원경비 조달을 위해 현행 제공되고 있는 사업당 배분방식뿐만 아니라 표준교육비 기준이 필요한 학교당·학급당·학생당 배분방식도 적정 단위교육비가 산출되어야 한다. 본 연구 결과에 의해 제안된 장애학생들에 대한 표준교육비 및 적정 단위교육비 산출 필요성의 근거와 산출 요인, 산출 방법 등은 향후 통합교육 재정지원 정책을 수립하는 데에 유용한 자료가 될 것으로 기대한다. This study was conducted for the purpose of solving problems related to the support of cost of inclusive education (i.e. cost necessary for inclusive education) which occurred since the application of the standard for calculating cost of education due to the introduction of school accounting system in 2001 and the shift of the support policy on cost for special education from central government to local governments. For these purposes, this study analyzed a method of calculating cost of inclusive education by cities and provinces, and then identified potential and future problems. The results of study are as follows: first, with respect to expansion of education finance for student with disabilities, a fair and objective standard for distribution should be established, and promotion of equal educational conditions and procurement of stable financial source for each region should be accompanied. For this, it is required to consider the educational aspect of student with disabilities and the characteristics for each disability area, and carry out ‘calculation of the standard cost of education education’ for eliminating regional gap; second, the coefficient of difference in educational cost for student with disabilities should be properly calculated, and it should be considered when calculating the standard cost of education and establishing the reference of educational cost for students with disabilities; third, in order to eliminate the regional gap in the contents of educational business for student with disabilities and procure proper supporting expenses, it is required to calculate a reasonable unit educational expense in a distribution method per school, class, and student which needs a reference of the standard cost of education as well as a distribution method per business which is currently provided. It is expected that basis of the necessity for calculating the standard cost of education and reasonable unit educational expense which is suggested by the findings of this study, its calculation factors, and calculation method will be useful data for establishing a future financial support policy for inclusive education.

        차량을 이용한 2분할 조도측정시스템의 개발

        도로조명의 적절한 보수를 위하여, 조명 수준을 정확하게 파악하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 2분할 수광방식을 고안하여, 차량을 이용한 조도측정시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 넓지 않은 면적을 차지하고 도로의 흐름을 차단하지 않고 신속하고 신뢰성 높은 데이터를 자동으로 측정 저장할 수 있다. 따라서 도로조명 측정에서 많은 비용과 시간을 절약할 수 있다. It is important to grasp the accurate lighting level for appropriate maintenance of the road lighting equipment. It is developed 2 division illuminance measurement systems. This system has a small size and no need to black the way and achieves the speedy measurement and high accuracy data in automatically measurement. As a result, this system can save expense and time to measure roadway lighting.
