      • A Method for Missing Data Recovery of Air Pollutants Monitoring in Henhouse Based on QGSA-SVM

        To solve the data missing problem caused by sensor faults during the air pollutants monitoring in henhouse, a method for missing data recovery was proposed based on support vector machine (SVM). Multiple factors that influence monitoring values of the air pollutants in henhouse, such as temporal, spatial and environmental, were considered to established a SVM regression model to estimate the missing data of the air pollutants monitoring. Meanwhile, to obtain better prediction accuracy, regression model parameters were optimized by a novel hybrid optimization algorithm which was combined standard genetic algorithm with quantum genetic strategy and simulated annealing tactics. Taking the data processing of the ammonia (NH3) concentration as an example, the proposed method was tested with the monitoring data of 3 days in a farm. The estimation results of missing data shown that there was a litter error between the estimated data and monitoring data, the maximal relative error was 5.87% (percent), the average relative error was 1.77% (percent). It is verified that this method of missing data recovery is feasible and valid.

        Effect of compound coupling agent treatment on mechanical property and water absorption of hollow glass microspheres/epoxy composite

        Hollow glass microspheres (HGMs), as a reinforcing material to prepare lightweight high-performance composites, have excellent mechanical properties. However, the composites prepared by simply mixing hollow glass microspheres with polymer resin have poor performance. In this study, compound coupling agent-modified HGM/EP composites were prepared by casting process with two silane coupling agents as compound coupling agents. Scanning electron microscopy and infrared (IR) spectroscopy were used to characterize the treated HGM. Meanwhile density, water absorption behavior, and mechanical properties of the modified HGM-filled epoxy composites were examined. It is found that the compound coupling agent could effectively improve the interfacial bonding between HGM and the matrix resin. A new chemical bond was formed between HGM and EP, which was confirmed by IR spectroscopy. Compared with their untreated counterparts, the composites treated with the complex coupling agent exhibited excellent mechanical properties, along with lower density and lower water absorption.

        Synthesis and Characterization of Compound Coupling Agent-Modified Hollow Glass Microspheres/Epoxy Composites

        In this study, hollow glass microsphere/epoxy composites modified with compound coupling agent of titanate (CS201) and silane (KH540) were prepared and characterized. The addition of the compound coupling agent improves the interfacial bonding between the microbeads and the resin matrix. Scanning electron microscopy results indicated that the compound coupling agent can effectively reduce the number of voids between the microbeads and the resin. FTIR and XPS spectra showed that new chemical bonds were formed between the hollow glass microspheres and resin, which enhanced the interfacial bonding between them. By testing the water absorption and mechanical properties of the composites, it found that the addition of the hybrid coupling agent can reduce the water absorption to a minimum level of 1.184%. Due to the improvement of interfacial compatibility, mechanical properties of the composites were enhanced, (with tensile strength of 43.03 MPa, bending strength of 44.56 MPa, bending modulus of 1407 MPa and compressive strength of 81.55 MPa). When the content of the coupling agent was 5% and the volume ratio of CS201 to KH540 was 1:1, the synergistic enhancement effect was the most significant.

        An Adaptive Neural Sliding Mode Control with ESO for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems

        An adaptive neural sliding mode control with ESO for uncertain nonlinear systems is proposed to improve the stability of the control system. Any control system inevitably exists uncertain disturbances and nonlinearities which severely affect the control performance and stability. Neural network can be utilized to approximate the uncertain nonlinearities. Nevertheless, it produces approximate errors, which will become more difficult to deal with as the order of the system increases. Moreover, these errors and uncertain disturbances will result in a consequence that the control system can be unable to converge quickly, and has to deal with a lot of calculations. Therefore, in order to perfect the performance and stability of the control system, this paper combines sliding mode control and ESO, and designs an adaptive neural control method. The simulation results illustrate that the improved system has superior tracking performance and anti-interference ability.

        A Rapid PCR-Based Approach for Molecular Identification of Filamentous Fungi

        In this study, a novel rapid and efficient DNA extraction method based on alkaline lysis, which can deal with a large number of filamentous fungal isolates in the same batch, was established. The filamentous fungal genomic DNA required only 20 min to prepare and can be directly used as a template for PCR amplification. The amplified internal transcribed spacer regions were easy to identify by analysis. The extracted DNA also can be used to amplify other protein-coding genes for fungal identification. This method can be used for rapid systematic identification of filamentous fungal isolates.

        A Ripple-free Input Current Interleaved Converter with Dual Coupled Inductors for High Step-up Applications

        This paper presents a ripple-free input current modified interleaved boost converter for high step-up applications. By integrating dual coupled inductors and voltage multiplier techniques, the proposed converter can reach a high step-up gain without an extremely high turn-ON period. In addition, a very small auxiliary inductor employed in series to the input dc source makes the input current ripple theoretically decreased to zero, which simplifies the design of the electromagnetic interference (EMI) filter. In addition, the voltage stresses on the semiconductor devices of the proposed converter are efficiently reduced, which makes high performance MOSFETs with low voltage rated and low resistance rDS(ON) available to reduce the cost and conduction loss. The operating principles and steady-state analyses of the proposed converter are introduced in detail. Finally, a prototype circuit rated at 400W with a 42-50V input voltage and a 400V output voltage is built and tested to verify the effectiveness of theoretical analysis. Experimental results show that an efficiency of 95.3% can be achieved.

        Application of full permeate recycling to very high gravity ethanol fermentation from corn

        A ceramic membrane with pore size of 0.2 μm was used to percolate grain stillage of very high gravity (VHG) ethanol fermentation from corn, and the micro-filtration permeate was completely recycled for the cooking step in the next fermentation process. The concentrations of solids, sugars, total nitrogen and Na+ in the grain stillage and permeate reached a relative steady state after two or three batches of filtration and recycling process. There are no negative effects of by-products on VHG ethanol fermentation, and the final ethanol yield was above 15% (v/v). The conditions of filtration were examined to determine the optimum conditions for the process and included an initial flux of clean water above 550 L·m−2·h−1 (0.1 MPa), an operating differential pressure of 0.15 MPa, an operating temperature above 70℃, and a permeation flux greater than 136 L·m−2·h−1. It could be concluded that full permeate recycling during ethanol production was an efficient process that resulted in less pollution and less energy consumption.

        Methyl Lucidenate F Isolated from the Ethanol-soluble-acidic Components of Ganoderma lucidum is a Novel Tyrosinase Inhibitor

        Tyrosinase is a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of melanin, and the use of inhibitors against tyrosinase can prevent hyperpigmentation by inhibiting enzymatic oxidation. However, the current use of tyrosine inhibitors is limited by their low activities and high toxicities. The aim of the present research was to develop novel whitening agents, or tyrosinase-targeted medicine, from a submerged culture of the fungus Ganoderma lucidum. Methyl lucidenate F was isolated from the ethanol-soluble-acidic components (ESACs) of G. lucidum, with the structure of ESACs elucidated via UV, LC-MS, and ^(13)C-NMR spectral analysis. The tyrosinase inhibitory activity was measured using catechol as a substrate. Methyl lucidenate F displayed uncompetitive inhibition of the potato tyrosinase activity,for which Lineweaver-Burk plots revealed a maximum reaction rate (V_(max)) of 0.4367/min, Michaelis constant (K_m)of 6.765 mM and uncompetitive inhibition constant (K_i) of 19.22 μM. Meanwhile, methyl lucidenate F (tetra cyclic triterpenoid) exhibited high tyrosinase inhibitory activity,with an IC_(50) of 32.23 μM. These results suggest that methyl lucidenate F may serve as a potential candidate for skin-whitening agents.
