      • The Mobile Visual Search Guiding System Based on SIFT

        In order to provide personal guiding service to visitors in the Picture Gallery, a mobile visual search guiding system based on SIFT(Scale Invariant Feature Transform) is proposed in this paper. The visitors can achieve the paintings’ information using the camera function of the mobile phones when they enjoy the famous paintings in the Picture Gallery. The mobile search visual system proposed in this paper can identify the paintings in the server side so there are no extra performance requirements for the mobile phones. Firstly, the mobile visual search system was introduced. Then the system was designed and realized. The classification training was based on SVM (Support Vector Machine). The SIFT feature extraction algorithm was used to enhance the recognition rate. After the image retrieval, the geometric consistency check was employed to choose the best matching image. Finally, the experimental results verified the feasibility and practicability of this system. Compared with the present guiding systems, this system can communicate with the visitors conveniently and offer abundant and all-around information to the visitors. In addition, using this guiding system, any auxiliary devices are not needed to be installed in the Picture Gallery.

      • An Image Retrieval Method Based on Visual Dictionary and Saliency Region

        An image retrieval method based on the combination of visual dictionary and region of saliency was proposed in this paper, which aims to increase the accuracy of image retrieval. The image is divided into sampled blocks and the low-level features are extracted from these image blocks. Then a variety of features vectors are taken as the input vector for learning its corresponding visual dictionary respectively by non-negative sparse coding. Spatial information is added into the sparse representations of image by proposing the saliency polling method, and the similarity measure between sparse representation vectors is defined as SED (Squared Euclidean Distance), which considering the same nonzero entries and Euclidean distance of vectors at the same time. Results of experiment carried on Corel and Caltech datasets showed that this method can effectively improve the accuracy of image retrieval compared with the methods of single visual dictionary.

      • Web Spam Detection Based On Link Diversity and Content Features

        In order to get a higher ranking, spam pages deceive the search engine using cheating technology, which will disturb the users to find useful information via search engine. The web spam is designed for search engines rather than for users, so it is important to make a distinction between the normal web pages and the web spam pages. The links of the normal web pages have a wide variety of sources and the content feature of the normal web pages are distributed regularly, while links source of the web spam pages is single and the content features of them are distributed disorderly. So after analyzing the link diversity and content features distribution of the web pages, a new web page ranking algorithm was proposed in this paper. In this method, the web pages ranking score is calculated by the TrustRank method combining web pages links diversity and the web pages content features. It can be shown from the experimental results that this method can effectively reduce spam pages ranking score.

        Magnetic and Dielectric Properties of Low Temperature co-fired Na-Ta co-doped M-type Barium Ferrites

        Na-Ta ions co-doped M-type barium ferrites, BaFe12-2x(NaTa)xO19, were synthesized at low temperature by the solid-state method. Na-Ta ion could occupy crystalline sites but not change the phase formation of barium ferrite. SEM images showed that samples had the regular and hexangular shape with 1-2 μm size. With the increase of Na-Ta, saturation magnetization (Ms) obviously decreased from 57.5 emu/g to 37.6 emu/g, and the coercivity (Hc) decreased from 4156 Oe to 2069 Oe. For dielectric properties, the real part permittivity (ε") increased when x from 0.0 to 0.3, reaching the maximum value in a range frequency of 10 MHz-500 MHz, while decreasing when x=0.4. This material would be applied in electronic devices using LTCC technology.
