This paper presents a study of DFIG wind power generation system for real-time simulation. For real-time simulation, the real-time digital simulator (RTDS) and its user friendly interface simulation software (RSCAD) are used. 2.2MW grid-connected variable speed DFIG wind power generation system is modeled and analyzed in this study. Stator-flux oriented vector control scheme is applied to stator, rotor side converter control, and back-to-back PWM converters are implemented for the decoupled control. The real-wind speed signal extracted by an anemometer is used for realistic and accurate simulation analysis. Block diagrams for DFIG and control scheme of stator, rotor-side are introduced. Real-time simulation cases are carried out and analyzed for the validity of this work.

This paper proposed a program of an energy storage system(ESS) for peak shaving of high-speed railway substations The peak shaving saves cost of equipment and demand cost of the substation. To reduce the peak load, it is very important to know when the peak load appears. The past data based load profile forecasting method is easy and applicable to customers which have relatively fixed load profiles. And an optimal scheduling method of the ESS is helpful in reducing the electricity tariff and shaving the peak load efficiently. Based on these techniques, MS. NET based peak shaving program is developed. In case study, a specific daily load profile of the local substation was applied and simulated to verify performance of the proposed program.

Wind power plants must provide the power quality required, similar to that provided by the conventional power plants, to ensure the stability and reliability of the power system it is connected to. Although many operational aspects affect wind power plant operation, this paper, we focus on power quality. Since a wind power plant is connected to the grid, it is very important to understand the sources of disturbances that affect the power quality. This paper performs power quality analysis based on actual data of wind power plants. Especially, it has analysed voltage variation, power factor, harmonics in comparison with distributed generation network interconnection technology standards. In this paper, when the power amount was below 2㎿, there was a deterioration in power quality for power factor, voltage variation and harmonics.
RTDS Hypersim간 Closed-Loop 실시간 모의 시스템 구현에 관한 연구

This paper presents a study of an implementation of a close-loop real-time simulation system between RTDS and Hypersim. The closed-loop real-time simulation is a combination of two or more real-time simulation modules or systems in order to operate as one real-time system. The objective of the paper is to increase the flexibility and validity of the simulation by partitioning the study system to manipulate the advantages of each real-time simulation. This paper utilizes RTDS and Hypersim to implement the closed loop system and the network to be analysed is the modified CIGRE HVDC benchmark system. Comparisons are made with real-time simulation of RTDS for validation purposes.
