Vol.23 No.3
The main purpose of the study was to identify the effect of the cell leader΄s super leadership on group member΄s self-leadership and performance, as namely, group retention intention and faith maturity. Moreover, this study attempted to investigate the mediating effect of group member΄s self-leadership on the relationships between cell leader΄s super leadership and their performance. The target sample of the study was adult protestants living a religious life in Gyeong-in district in South Korea. 416 data was collected through survey and structural equation modeling was mainly applied to analyze the data. The statistical package of SPSS 25.0, AMOS 25.0 were utilized to analyze the direct and indirect effects, reliability, validity, and model fit, The results of the study could be summarized as follows. First, the cell leader΄s super-leadership had positive impacts on the member΄s self-leadership and group retention intention. However, there was no statistically significant relationship between the cell leader΄s super-leadership and faith maturity. Second, the super-leadership had an indirect influence on faith maturity which was mediated by the member΄s self-leadership. This could imply that faith maturity could depend more on personal will and autonomy to live in religious life. Based on the research results, practical and academic implications were presented to enhance performance from the perspective of human resource development.
Antibiotic Resistance and Assessment of Food-borne Pathogenic Bacteria in Frozen Foods
Eunhye Baek,이도경,Seok Jang,Hyangmi An,Mijin Kim,Kyungjae Kim,Kangoh Lee,Namjoo Ha 대한약학회 2009 Archives of Pharmacal Research Vol.32 No.12
One hundred ninety-three frozen food samples collected in Korea various public bazaars from October 2006 to September 2007. Staphylococci were detected in 21.8% of frozen food samples. Staphylococcus aureus was isolated from 17 (8.8%) samples. Other staphylococci isolates were identified as S. warneri (7.8%), S. epidermidis (2.1%), S. xylosus (1.6%), S. eguorum (1%), and S. vitulinus (0.5%). Additionally, the antimicrobial susceptibility of 42 staphylococcal isolates to ten different antimicrobial agents was determined. The staphylococcal isolates demonstrated antimicrobial resistance to mupirocin (31%) oxacillin (14.3%), gentamicin (9.5%), teicoplanin (7.1%) and ciprofloxacin (7.1%). Most of the staphylococcal isolates showed high-level resistance to mupirocin (MIC90, >128 μg/mL). Fortunately, most of the isolates were susceptible to vancomycin. The total bacteria and Escherichia coli count were tested to investigate the microbiological quality of frozen foods. From 193 frozen food samples, 43 (22.3%), 34 (17.6%) and 19 (9.8%) samples were shown to be of unacceptable quality due to total bacteria, coliform and E. coli counts, respectively.
Identification of Biomarkers for Breast Cancer Using Databases
2016 Journal of cancer prevention Vol.21 No.4
Breast cancer is one of the major causes of cancer death in women. Many studies have sought to identify specific molecules involved in breast cancer and understand their characteristics. Many biomarkers which are easily measurable, dependable, and inexpensive, with a high sensitivity and specificity have been identified. The rapidly increasing technology development and availability of epigenetic informations play critical roles in cancer. The accumulated data have been collected, stored, and analyzed in various types of databases. It is important to acknowledge useful and available data and retrieve them from databases. Nowadays, many researches utilize the databases, including The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA), Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO), Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Results (SEER), and Embase, to find useful informations on biomarkers for breast cancer. This review summarizes the current databases which have been utilized for identification of biomarkers for breast cancer. The information provided by this review would be beneficial to seeking appropriate strategies for diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer.
Korean Early Childhood Teachers` Perceptions on Beliefs and Practices in Early Literacy Education
2015 INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION Vol.21 No.2
In providing young children with literacy experiences, the teacher’s role is critical. In order to understand the beliefs and practices of early childhood teachers in a Korean context, in which children’s literacy is considered a key aspect of school readiness, 419 early childhood teachers across Korea were selected to complete a questionnaire. Differences associated with the teachers’ demographic variables, including types of early childhood setting, geographic region, teaching experiences, teacher qualifications, and educational training majors, were analyzed. The findings indicate that early childhood teachers in Korea strongly believe in emergent literacy approaches and practice such methods more frequently than reading readiness approaches. While no significant difference in beliefs related to the teachers’ demographic variables was found, differences were found in practices related to type of early childhood setting, teacher qualifications, and educational training majors. The results imply a need for discussion of alternative perspectives on early literacy that may better fit the Korean context.
Design Principle of Chat Tool to Decrease ‘Communication Confusion’ in CSCL
Vol.4 No.1
As the Internet and technology develops, the chat tools vary more and more. The chat tool plays an important role by connecting learners with each other in CSCL environment. However, most chat tools do not have functions that decrease ‘Communication Confusion’. To decrease of ‘Communication Confusion’ in CSCL, learners need tools to support their collaboration learning. In this paper the researcher explored and designed chat tool to decrease ‘Communication Confusion’ in collaborative learning.
