Investigation of phase segregation in sol–gel derived ZnMgO thin films
Singh, Amanpal,Vij, Ankush,Kumar, Dinesh,Khanna, P K,Kumar, Mukesh,Gautam, Sanjeev,Chae, K H Institute of Physics 2013 Semiconductor science and technology Vol.28 No.2
<P>Highly c-axis-oriented Zn1-xMgxO multilayered thin films have been deposited on p-type Si substrates with different concentration of Mg (x = 0.00−0.40) using a sol–gel spin-coating technique. The x-ray diffraction (XRD) shows that single-phase wurtzite thin films start showing phase segregation for a Mg content of x = 0.25 for the sol–gel-derived ZnMgO thin films. The element specific near edge x-ray fine structure (NEXAFS) collected at O K-edge also clearly evidence the phase segregation at x = 0.25. These results also show that films are deposited with wurtzite structure as dominant phase even after phase segregation. The NEXAFS spectra collected at Zn L3-edge rule out the presence of any Zn-related defect due to Mg doping. The atomic force microscopy (AFM) depicts the spherical shape of nanosized grains, and grain size varies slightly with Mg content. The single-phase ZnMgO thin films show a band gap tuning from 3.38 to 3.84 eV, which is also consistent with blue shifting of near-band edge PL emission. The electrical resistivity of thin films increases with Mg content before phase segregation. However, the optical band gap, photoluminescence and electrical resistivity show anomalous behavior at phase segregation limit which has been discussed and correlated with each other.</P>

Manish Kumar Verma,Vinod Kumar,Upakar Patel,Vishnu Shankar Rai,Anup Kumar,Arup Kumar De,Aditya Kumar Prajapati,Dinesh Prajapati,Kedar Sahoo,Tapas Das,N. B. Singh,K. D. Mandal 한국전기전자재료학회 2023 Transactions on Electrical and Electronic Material Vol.24 No.5
Bi36 Fe2 O57 (BFO) polycrystalline ceramic was synthesized by economical chemical route. The single-phase formation of BFO ceramic was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction studies. Nanosized formation of BFO ceramics established by XRD and TEM analysis. The bimodal distribution of grain size is observed with size ranging from 50 to 600 nm. It observed that the Bi36 Fe2 O57 photocatalyst exhibited higher catalytic activity for the degradation of Methylene Blue (MB) under visible-light irradiation The oxidation state of elements present in the BFO ceramic, was confirmed by XPS studies. The pseudocapacitive nature of BFO ceramic was observed by cyclic Voltammetry. The dielectric constant of BFO ceramic was found 375 at 1 kHz at 300 K. The dielectric loss was found 0.51 at 100 kHz and 300 K.
Synthesis and Characterization of Eggshell-Derived Hydroxyapatite Bioceramics
Dinesh K. Patel,김혜빈,임기택 한국농업기계학회 2019 바이오시스템공학 Vol.44 No.2
Several methods are frequently used to make high-value-added biomaterials from waste biomass for various biomedical applications. Hydroxyapatite (HA), a type of bio-ceramic material, has received considerable attention for use in bone tissue and implanted medical devices owing to its physiochemical properties and excellent biocompatibility. It can be synthesized from calcium- and phosphorous-containing precursor moieties such as calcium oxide and tricalcium phosphate (TCP). In this study, we synthesized an HA bio-ceramic from bio-waste eggshells via a reaction between calcium oxide and TCP, followed by heat treatment. The synthesized HAwas characterized through scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. The material exhibited no significant cytotoxicity even at a higher concentration, indicating high biocompatibility. Our study provides an effective way of converting low-cost bio-waste eggshells into a value-added biomaterial for tissue-engineering applications.

Single objective layout design of user interface components with multiple qualitative factors
S. K. Peer,Dinesh K. Sharma 한국전산응용수학회 2004 Journal of applied mathematics & informatics Vol.14 No.-
The purpose of this paper is to present a model to design the layout of the user interface components that handles many numbers of qualitative factors. An alternate rating system is also proposed for the closeness relationship ratings between the various pairs of components evaluated by using GOMS (goals, operators, methods and selection rules) technique. The proposed model is applied to the design of the part of the user interface in order to obtain the best layout of the components. The results of the proposed model are compared with that of an existing model, which handles single qualitative factor applied to obtain the layouts of user interface components.
A GOAL PROGRAMMING MODEL FOR THE BEST POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO LOAN ALLOCATION PROBLEMS
Sharma, Dinesh-K.,Ghosh, Debasis,Alade, Julius-A. 한국전산응용수학회 2002 The Korean journal of computational & applied math Vol.9 No.1
In this paper, we propose a multi-Criteria decision making approach to address the problem of finding the best possible solution in credit unions. Sensitivity analysis on the priority structure of the goals has been performed to obtain all possible solutions. The study uses the Euclidean distance method to measure distances of all possible solutions from the identified ideal solution. The possible optimum solution is determined from the minimum distance between the ideal solution and other possible solutions of the Problem.
