        우리나라 초등 6학년 학습자들의 디지털 리터러시 성취 수준 탐색

        디지털 미디어의 영향력이 갈수록 커짐에 따라 디지털 리터러시에 대한 교육적 요구 또한 증가하고 있으나, 우리 초중등 교육과정은 아직 그 요구를 충실히 반영하지 못하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 디지털 리터러시의 내용 요소를 체계적으로 마련하기 위한 방안의 하나로 초등 학습자의 실제 과제 수행 과정을 분석하여 디지털 리터러시 수준을 진단하고 이를 토대로 우선적으로 고려해야 할 디지털 리터러시 내용 요소를 추출하고자 하였다. 이 연구에는 초등학교 6학년 학생 20명이 참여하였으며, 연구자들은 이들이 수행한 과제를 분석하여 디지털 리터러시의 수준을 진단하였다. 분석 결과 대다수의 학습자들이 ‘평가하기’ 범주에서 낮은 성취 수준을 보인 반면, ‘제작하기’ 범주에서는 전반적으로 높은 성취 수준을 보였다. 또한, ‘조작하기’ 범주에서는 학습자들 사이의 편차가 두드러지게 나타났다. 이를 토대로 다음과 같은 결론 및 제언을 제시하였다. 첫째, 향후 디지털 리터러시 교육을 계획할 때 절반 이상의 학습자들이 낮은 성취 수준을 보인 평가하기 범주를 중점적으로 고려할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 학습자들의 디지털 리터러시 수준에 영향을 미친 요인에 대한 심층적인 연구가 뒷받침될 필요가 있다. 셋째, 학습자들 사이에서 보이는 디지털 리터러시의 편차를 줄이기 위해 초등 저학년 단계부터 매체적응교육을 포함한 디지털 리터러시 교육을 지속적이고 체계적으로 실시할 필요가 있다. Despite the increasing need for digital literacy education due to the high influence of the digital media, the national curriculum has not been able to meet the educational demands. In response, this study analyzed the actual level of elementary school learners’ digital literacy and extracted digital literacy elements that should be considered first as part of a systematic plan to prepare content elements for digital literacy education. In this study, 20 sixth grade students participated and researchers analyzed the tasks the students performed and diagnosed the level of their digital literacy. According to the analysis, the majority of learners showed a low level of achievement in the “evaluation” category, while the overall level of achievement in the “production” category was high. Furthermore, the deviation between learners was noticeable in the manipulation’ category. On this basis, the following conclusions and suggestions were presented: First, when planning future digital literacy education, the curriculum should focus on the evaluation category in which more than half of the learners showed a low level of achievement. Second, in-depth research on factors that have affected learners' digital literacy levels is required. Third, digital literacy education, including media adaptation education, needs to be continuously and systematically implemented from the lower grade of elementary school to close the gap in students’ digital literacy skills.

        초등 각 교과의 쓰기 활동 양상 분석

        각 교과의 학습 과정에서 쓰기 활동의 중요성이 부각됨에 따라 이러한 활동을 지원하기 위한 국어과 쓰기 영역의 역할도 중요해지고 있다. 타 교과의 쓰기 활동이 원활하게 이루어지기 위해서는 국어과와 타 교과 간의 상호 이해와 소통이 중요하다는 인식하에 본 연구에서는 타 교과의 쓰기 활동 요구를 파악하고 지원 방안을 탐색하려는 목적에서 초등 4학년과 6학년의 각 교과 교과용 도서에 나타난 쓰기 활동의 양상을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 사회, 체육, 도덕 등의 교과에서 쓰기 활동의 빈도가 높게 나타났으며, 설득 목적의 쓰기 활동에 비해 정보 전달이나 친교 및 정서 표현 목적의 쓰기 활동에 대한 빈도가 훨씬 높게 나타난다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 타 교과의 쓰기 활동 수준을 장르 유형과 매체 유형을 중심으로 분석해 본 결과 초등 국어과의 범위를 넘어서는 활동을 일부 확인할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 타 교과의 쓰기 활동에서 학습자의 쓰기 과정을 지원하기 위한 정보를 얼마나 충실히 제공하고 있는지 분석해 본 결과 전반적으로 관련 정보가 부족하다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 타 교과에서 학습자의 쓰기 활동을 촉진하기 위해 개선해야 할 사항, 국어과 쓰기 영역에서 타 교과 쓰기 활동을 지원하기 위해 개선해야 할 사항에 대해 논의하였다. As the importance of writing is highlighted in the learning process of each subject area, the role of writing education is also gaining importance in supporting these writing activities in Korean Language Arts. As it recognized the importance of mutual understanding and communication between Korean Language Arts and other subject areas to facilitate writing activities in the subject areas, this study analyzed the patterns of writing activities in elementary fourth and sixth-graders’ textbooks. The results showed that the frequency of writing activities in subject areas such as society, physical education, and moral education was higher, and that the frequency of writing activities for informative and literary texts was much higher than for persuasive texts. The results of analyzing the level of writing activities in other subject areas based on genre and media types showed that there are activities beyond the scope of elementary Korean Language Arts. Finally, the analysis of how faithfully information is provided to support learners’ writing process in other subject areas confirmed that the relevant information is generally insufficiently presented. Accordingly, we discussed what needs to be improved to promote learners’ writing activities in other subject areas and to support other subject areas’ writing activities in Korean Language Arts.

        The Relevance of Hyperuricemia and Metabolic Syndrome and the Effect of Blood Lead Level on Uric Acid Concentration in Steelmaking Workers

        Objectives: Uric acid concentration is known to increase the prevalence of metabolic syndrome by affecting its components, resulting in increased risk of cerebrovascular and cardiovascular diseases, and long-term lead exposure is known to affect this serum uric acid level. In this study, we aimed to examine the association between the causes of hyperuricemia and metabolic syndrome, and to determine whether an increased blood lead level affects hyperuricemia. Method: Anthropometric measurements, surveys, and blood tests were conducted between May and June 2012 in 759 men working in the steelmaking process at a domestic steel company. Workers were divided into 2 groups according to the presence or absence of hyperuricemia, and an analysis was performed to examine its association with metabolic syndrome. In addition, the workers were divided into 3 groups according to the blood lead level to analyze the association between blood lead and hyperuricemia. Results: The geometric mean (standard deviation) of the blood lead levels in the hyperuricemia group was significantly higher than that of the healthy group (3.8 [1.8] vs. 3.3 [1.8] μg/dL). The adjusted odds ratio for metabolic syndrome of the hyperuricemia group increased significantly to 1.787 (1.125?2.839) compared with the healthy group. In addition, the adjusted odds ratios for the occurrence of hyperuricemia in the tertile 2 (2.61?4.50 μg/dL) and tertile 3 groups (>4.50 μg/dL) according to blood lead level significantly increased to 1.763 (1.116?2.784) and 1.982 (1.254?3.132), respectively, compared with the tertile 1 group (< 2.61 μg/dL). Conclusion: Hyperuricemia is believed to function as an independent risk factor for metabolic syndrome, while lead seems to increase the serum uric acid level even at a considerably low blood level. Therefore, attention should be given to patients with hyperuricemia and metabolic syndrome who are prone to lead exposure, and a prospective study should be conducted to identify their causal relationship.

        규칙기반 상황인식 모듈관리에 의한 가변위치 부품창고 시스템

        본 논문에서는 자동차 부품과 같이 다량·다품종의 부품을 효율적으로 관리할 수 있는 ubiWarehouse 시스템을 제안한다. 먼저, 5W1H 상황표현으로 사용자 작업상황을 체계적으로 정의하고, 상황인식기를 기능별로 구분하여 관리규칙에 의해 각 모듈을 독립적으로 운영한다. 입출고 부품의 선반 적합도를 계산하여 효율적인 이동경로를 선정하고 자주 동시에 취급되는 관련 부품들이 인접할 수 있도록 한다. 이때, 다른 사용자가 현재 방문하고 있거나 바로 방문할 예정인 경우에는 충돌해결을 위해 방문순서를 변경하여 양보한다. 결과적으로, 제안한 시스템은 경쟁을 피하면서도 효율적으로 부품을 입출고할 수 있는 경로를 사용자에게 제공하고, 관련 부품들이 가까운 위치에 모이도록 선반을 배정하여 창고 공간을 효과적으로 활용한다. 또한 입출고 이력을 이용한 사용자별 성향을 파악하여 개인화된 서비스를 제공하고, 실시간적인 입출고 갱신과 경보상황 처리로 재고정보의 정확도를 향상시키는데 기여할 수 있다. In this paper, we propose ubiWarehouse system which can efficiently manages mass and many kinds of parts such as automotive parts. First, user's work situation is defined systematically as context type of 5W1H, context-aware system is separated on function, and each module operates independently. An efficient route is selected and relevant parts frequently treated at the same time are gathered by calculating the suitability of parts and racks. If other users currently are on a visit or are supposed to visit soon, the turn of visit is changed making a concession for preventing collision. As a result, the proposed system with avoiding competition can provide users with routes for inbound or outbound parts, and can effectively use spaces of a warehouse by arranging racks to gather relevant parts to near location. Also, individual service can be offered by evaluating user propensity using history of the warehouse job, and the accuracy of stock information can be improved by processing of unexpected context and real-time renewing of warehousing and delivering.

      • Non-Equilibrium Phase Behavior of Immiscible Polymer-Grafted Nanoparticle Blends

        <P>Preferential attraction of polymer chains to the substrate [i.e., poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) on the hydroxyl-terminated Si substrate] typically results in the initial phase separation of spin-cast immiscible linear polymer blends [i.e., polystyrene (PS)/PMMA] with a characteristic interfacial microstructure depending on their molecular weight. A formation of the undesired microstructure in those blends is inevitable because of the thermodynamic force driving their phase separation combined with relatively rapid dynamics in solution. In contrast, the polymer ligands, which are grafted from nanoparticles, are capable of limited segmental interactions in the presence of segmental contacts of chemically distinct chains as well as hindered mobility by interpenetration (or entanglement) and thus exhibit a homogeneous but non-equilibrium phase behavior. Here, the microstructure of the blends consisting of immiscible polymer-grafted nanoparticles (PGNPs) was identified by their neutron reflectivity, in which the scattering length density was controlled by tethering deuterated PS on silica NPs. We demonstrate that the single-phase homogeneous microstructure is attributed to a significantly reduced particle dynamics arising from the cooperative motion (or interpenetration) of polymer ligands during vitrification of PGNP films despite a relatively high degree of segregation <I>N</I>χ<SUB>S/MMA</SUB>. Furthermore, the slower segmental interactions of polymer ligands promote the thermal stability of the PGNP blends in the kinetically quenched non-equilibrium state. This suggests a crucial role of polymer ligands to determine the relevant properties relying on their microstructures in a wide range of blending approaches utilizing nanoparticles and polymers.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        Maintaining the Late Merger Approach to Transparent Free Relatives: Reply to Lee (2015)

        This paper explores the derivation of the so-called Transparent Free Relatives (TFRs). Its bewildering characteristics have been investigated in a number of works, but the issues of the analysis are always boiled down to whether the content kernel resides in the matrix clause and how the TFR is connected to the matrix clause. In regard to two issues, a recent analysis, the so-called Doublet Analysis, is proposed by Lee (2015) particularly in order to account for the direct interaction between the content kernel and the matrix clause. This paper aims to examine the doublet analysis with potential theoretical and empirical problems. Also, this paper attempts to defend Song and Kim’s (2015) Late Merger Approach, according to which the TFR without the content kernel is introduced into the matrix clause via late merger. Some of the problems raised by Lee (2015) against the late merger approach will be revisited and discussed with alternative options to unravel the posed problems.
