        This paper describes experimental investigation on the forming limit for mash-seam welded sheets. The uniaxial tensile test was conducted to evaluate the mechanical properties of weld bead. Experimental forming limit diagrams were investigated for the different thicknesses and properties of welded sheets.

      • 안와내벽외향골절의 비내시경적 정복술

        Background and objectives: High-resolution endoscopes and the advent of endoscopic instruments for sinus surgery currently provide surgeons with excellent endonasal visualization and access to the medial orbital walls. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the reduction of medial orbital wall fractures through an endonasal endoscopic approach that allows the repair of the medial orbital wall fractures without an external incision. Materials and Method : This study was a retrospective analysis of 16 patients who underwent surgical repair of medial orbital wall fractures from March of 2000 to June of 2002. The 11 male and five female patients ranged in age from 15 to 54 years (mean, 28.8 years). These patients had undergone primary reduction of medial orbital wall fractures and were observed for at least 2 months after surgery. Result: All of 16 patients showed a complete improvement of their preoperative symptoms. There were no intraoperative or postoperative complications. Conclusion: Endoscopic reduction of medial orbit wall fracture using an endonasal approach seems to produce good results and definite cosmetic advantages.

      • 인삼이 사람태아골모세포의 세포주기조절에 미치는 영향

        Ginseng Radix(GR) has been used widely as oriental medicine and the effects of it have been investigated by many researchers. The purpose of present study was to investigate the effects of GR on the cell cycle progression and its molecular mechanism in human fetal osteoblast. The result s were as follows. Increased cell proliferation was observed in cells exposed to 100ng/ml, 10ng/ml of GR-1 at 12 hours and 24 hours, 1㎍/㎖ of GR-1 at 48 hours, and 100㎍/㎖, 10㎍/㎖ of GR-2 at 12 hours, all treatment groups of GR-2 at 24 hours(p<0.05). S phase and G1 phase was increased in the group of treated with 100ng/ml Of GR-1, with 10㎍/㎖ and 1㎍/㎖ of OR-2, with 100㎍/㎖ and 10㎍/㎖ of GR-3 in the cell cycle analysis. The cell cycle regulation protein levels of Cyclin D1, Cyclin E, CDK 2, CDK 4 and CDK 6 were increasad in the group of treated with 1㎍/㎖ and 100ng/ml of GR-1, with 10㎍/㎖ and 1㎍/㎖ Of GR-2, with 100㎍/㎖ and 10㎍/㎖ of GR-3. On the other hand, p21 was decreased in the treatment group with 1㎍/㎖ and 100 ng/㎖ of GR-1, with 10㎍/㎖ and 1㎍/㎖ Of GR-2, 10㎍/㎖ Of GR-3, and p53 and p16 was decreased in the treatment group with 100ng/mll Of GR-1, 100㎍/㎖ GR-3 and pRb W ~ S decreased in the all treatment group except 1㎍/㎖ of GR-1. These results suggested that GR increases the cell proliferation and the cell cycle progression in human fetal osteoblast, which is linked to increased cell cycle regulation protein levels of Cyclin D1, Cyclin E, CDK 2, CDK 4, CDK 6 and decreased ell cycle regulation protein levels of p21, pRb.

        This paper investigates the need of expansion of the Sunchon National University to prepare future campus growth. The study first investigates the relationship between the university and the industrial development of Chunnam East Sector. After that, the study investigates confronting problems related with the existing university facilities. Based on these, the study investigates the 4 types of campus expansion scheme. After the comparison of these schemes, relocation of the university is the best choice for the Sunchon National University for preparing future campus growth. The criteria for the selection of the best site are also invesitigated for the re-loacating the Sunchon National University. However, this study shows the needs of further investigation of find the best location among candidate sites.

      • 골반 골절 환자에 있어서 골절 위치에 따른 하부 요로 손상의 연관성

        Background and Objectives: Lower urinary tract injuries in pelvic bone fracture can lead to significant complication. We tried to find out the relationship between the fracture location and the bladder, urethra injury in patients who sustaining pelvic bone fracture. We thought that the fracture locations could serves as markers for injury. Materials and Methods: A clinical study was made on 43 patients who sustaining pelvic bone fracture with bladder or urethra injury in the Chosun University hospital during the period of 5 years from January, 2002 to December 2006. Diagnosis was done by retrograde cystography, retrograde urethragraphy, abdomenpelvic computed tomography. Results: Of the 43 patients reviewed, 27 patients had intraperitoneal type bladder rupture, and 12 patients had extra-peritoneal type bladder rupture. 9 patients had urethral rupture. Intraperitoneal type bladder rupture cases are most commonly associated with infrapubic ramus, suprapubic ramus and acetabulum. but the statistically significance is abscent (p= 0.642). Also extraperitoneal type bladder rupture cases are most commonly associated with infrapubic ramus, suprapubic ramus and acetabulum. but the statistically significance is abscent (p= 0.548). And all type bladder rupture cases are most commonly associated with infrapubic ramus, suprapubic ramus and acetabulum. but the statistically significance is abscent (p= 0.775). And urethral rupture cases are most commonly associated with infrapubic ramus, suprapubic ramus and acetabulum but the statistically significance is abscent (p= 0.528). Lastly, Combineded bladder rupture and urethral rupture cases are most commonly associated with infrapubic ramus, llium, Symphysis pubis. But the statistically significance is abscent (p= 0.462). Conclusions: In our study when there is a pelvic bone fracture, the fractured site of pelvic bone have no statistically association with lower urinary tract injury. But most common pelvic bone fracture site of all lower urinary tract injury cases is infrapubic ramus. Therefore, if infrapubic ramus fracture is found in the condition of pelvic bone fracture, it is highly likely to have lower urinary tract injury. More careful observation and diagnosis is necessary for this case.

      • 골수강내 금속정 고정을 이용한 경골 분절골절의 치료

        최근의 연구들은 경골 분절 골절에 대한 이해와 치료 방법에 대해 많은 향상을 가져왔지만 여전히 경골 분절 골절의 치료는 많은 문제점을 내포하고 있고 종종 만족스럽지 못한 결과를 초래하고 있다. 이는 경골의 분절골절이 대개 고 에너지 손상에 의해 발생하고 주위의 연부 조직에 심각한 손상을 동반하는 경우가 많기 때문이다. 교합성 골수강내 금속정 고정이 경골 분절골절의 일반적 치료방법으로 자리잡고 있는데 이 방법은 장관골 간부 골절에 있어 가장 안정적인 고정을 할수 있고 그로 인해 조기 거동과 체중 부하를 허용함으로써 기능회복에 좋은 결과를 초래하기 때문이다. 저자들은 1991년 1월부터 1994년 4월까지 19례의 경골 분절골절에 대해 교합성 골수강내 금속정 고정을 이용해 치료하고 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1.19례 모두에서 부가적인 치료방법없이 골유함을 얻었다. 2. 9례에서 근위 골절부위는 각형성이 된 채로 고정되면서 골유함이 지연되었다. 이러한 경향은 근위 골절부가 슬관절에 근접할수록 증가하였다. 3. 골수강내 금속정을 이용한 경골 분절골절의 치료에 있어 근위골절부의 정확한 정복과 고정은 난제로 남아 있어 이를 해결할 수 있는 수술방법의 개발이 필요할것으로 사료된다. Locked Intramedullary Nailing for Tibial Segmental Fracture Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, College of Medicine, DongGuk University Hyung Ho Oh M.D., Dae Jin Kim M.D. Although studies in recent years have significantly improved the understanding and treatment of segmental fractures of tibia, the treatment of segmental fractures of the tibia poses many problems and often the results are unsatisfactory, presumably because of the serious damage to surrounding soft tissues that usually occurs by the high energy injury. Interlocking intramedullary nailing has become more popularized because it is one affords of the most stable fixation for shaft fractures of long bones, which enables early mobilization and weight bearing and provide good functional recovery. We experienced nineteen segmental tibial fractures from January 1991 to April 1994.They were treated by interlocking intramedullary nails. The results were as follows. 1. In all the 19 cases, union was achieved without any additional procedures 2. In 9 cases, proximal fracture sites were fixed and united in angulated positions and union was delayed, especially when the proximal fracture site was close to the knee joint. 3. On managing segmental fractures of tibia with intramedullary nailing, proximal fracture site seems to have more difficulties in accurate reduction and fixation, so operative technical innovation and development in the fixation device seems to be necessary.
