자연의 아름다움과 고급스러움이 공존하는 마임 비에타 쇼룸 제안 -오감 (시각, 청각, 후각, 촉각, 미각)을 중심으로-

본 연구는 국내 브랜드 ‘마임'의 뷰티와 연계한 뷰티 쇼룸을 제안함에 있어서 공간속에 오감을 담아내는 일련의 프로세스를 밝히는데 목적이 있다. 이는 브랜드가 소유하고 있는 다양한 감각과 가치가 결여된 채 시각적 요소만이 담긴 브랜드 뷰티 쇼룸이 대다수를 차지하는 오늘날, 이에 대한 문제를 해결하기 위해 ’융합 연출 디자인'적 시점에서 폭넓게 바라보고 브랜드의 정신과 오감의 결합을 통해 이를 해결하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 2017년 3월~6월 15주간 숙명여대 환경디자인학과 <융합연출 디자인>수업에서 진행된 수업의 결과물로서 산학 연계된 화장품 브랜드의 쇼룸디자인 개발 프로세스를 제안한다. 또한 본 연구의 범위는 오감을 담고 있는 뷰티 쇼룸(4D)이 되기까지의 과정 전체로 한다. 그 결과, 마임 뷰티쇼룸은 공간 디자인과 오감을 융합하여 영상에서 공간에 이르기까지 오감의 조화와 브랜드의 정신을 녹여내고 확장시켰다. 끝으로 본 연구는 뷰티 쇼룸 공간 디자인을 제안함에 있어서 오감을 활용하여 통합된 시점에서 그래픽·제품·공간을 개발 및 제시한 것에 의의가 있다. 또한 향후 이와 관련된 쇼룸 공간 개발에 있어서 기초 자료로 활용될 것으로 기대된다.
Knock-in Vector for Expression of Insulin Like Growth Factor 1 on the Bovine β-Casein Gene Locus

The production of therapeutic protein and improve of productivity of the domestic animal from transgenic animal is the major technology of biotechnology. Lactoferrin has its highest content in the colostrum, and is known as the antiviral substance. Insulin like growth factor1 is known to play an important role in the growth of the animal. The objective of this study is construction of knock-in vector that insulin like growth factor1 gene is inserted into the β-casein gene locus for expression of bovine insulin like growth factor1 (bIGF1) on the bovine β-casein gene. The knock-in vector consists of 5’ arm region (1.02 kb), insulin like growth factor 1 cDNA, CMV-EGFP, and 3’ arm region (1.83 kb). To express bIGF1 gene as transgene, the F2A sequence was fused to the 5’ terminal of bIGF1 gene and inserted into exon 7 of the β-casein gene. As a result, the knock-in vector is confirmed that the amino acids are synthesized without termination from the β-casein exon 7 region to the bIGF1 gene. These knock-in vectors may help to create transgenic dairy cattle expressing bovine IGF1 protein in the mammary gland via the expression system of the bovine β-casein gene.

The genus Phyllonorycter is a small sized moth among the family Gracillariidae, comprising 401 described species in the world (De Prins & De Prins 2005, 2012). In this study, Phyllonorycter styracis Kumata is reported for the first time from Korea. Material examined for this study was collected from Mt. Palgong on October, 2014 in Korea, and it is known to emerge in winter from Japan. Adult and genitalic characters are described, and available information including the distributional ranges and host plants are provided. Also, DNA barcode for the exact identification of the species was conducted in this study.
Antioxidant activities of methanol extracts from Gastrodia elata Blume by processing methods

A rhizome of Gastrodia elata Blume(Orchidaceae) is a traditional herbal medicine in Oriental countries, such as Korea, China and Japan. In order to confirm the Antioxidant activities of G.elata, we carried out various in vitro assays to examine its biological activities. The processing of medicinal herbs can result in compositional changes, and these changes can generally result in different pharmacological activities. G.elata rhizome samples with different steaming processes, distribution product, steamed one time (1S) and five times (5S), were extracted with 100% MeOH and freeze-dried for its bioassays. Total flavonoid and pholyphenol contents showed the highest at the 5S sample. Likewise, DPPH free radical scavenging activity was the highest at 5S which is slightly lower than control sample(ascorbic acid). Reducing power also showed the highest at 5S, and especially the value of 5S sample was two times higher than that of 1S sample, the lowest value. In summary, this study suggested the value of G.elata as a potential natural antioxidant.
Oronasal fistula reconstruction using tongue flap with simultaneous iliac bone graft: a case report

The ultimate goal of cleft palate repair is to achieve an intact palate with the separation of the oral and nasal cavities. However, some patients develop an oronasal fistula in the secondary palate after palatoplasty. Postoperatively, a secondary palatal oronasal fistula may develop, leading to functional problems. In this study, we describe a patient with recurrent oronasal fistula and alveolar cleft with multiple failed previous reconstructions at another clinic. The oronasal fistula and alveolar cleft were repaired using a tongue flap and an iliac bone graft, respectively. The patient demonstrated excellent clinical progress with no recurrence of the oronasal fistula at the 1-year follow-up.
