This research is intended to investigate the changing process of Chung-dong area, which is another center of Kangbuk province (the North of the Han river) of Seoul since the time of enlightenment. Chung-dong area had been the center of Hanyang, the capital city of Chosun Dynasty, also the old name of seoul, since the foundation of Chosun Dynasty. In modern times it has been a key place of modern history, playing an important role in aspects of architectural history. From 1883 that Chung-dong area experienced a rapid Change. The next change took place in 1897 when Gojong became an emperor and set up Kyongwungung as new palace. Since 1897 Chung-dong area had become to a central site of Hanyang, the capital. Then it became a very important place politically and diplomatically, and it also has been a vital international stage which was preferred by foreigners. Therefore, it began to be changed with many new buildings and facilities for foreign people. Gradually it was the main base of foreign embassies and christian buildings. However, Yi-yang-kwan(western style building) was built within the area of Duksoogung as a symbol of civilization. On this imperial family of Chosun Dynasty limited the development and the height of buildings within the area of 500 meters away from Duksoogung. Japanese government made Duksoogung degraded and finally in 1933 they opened this palace to the public and changed it Japanese style. Soon they built their government offices and had Japanese settlers come in. To establish new roads was also to destroy Korean traditional order. According to the formal record of American Embassy, there is no other street like this which recalls clearly the atmosphere of the early western buildings in the last a few decades of 19th century. Historic roads were made to be narrowed, enlarged, or closed. As a result the area of Duksoogung has been decreased. Chung-dong changed from Seodaemun-gu into Choong-gu and Chongro-gu has been in the same area, where is suffering from extreme confusion recently. Now it is difficult to find the traditional buildings of Chosun Dynasty and many of them which were built in modern times have been destroyed or had severe problems. The old building of Kyonggi Girls' high school which was a part of Duksoogung is no longer a place to be allowed to enter. The plan to build American Embassy and apartments should be reconsidered and it is time to restore Duksoogung to its original state including American Embassy site, old Kyonggi Girls' high school, Hanam Hotel and Paichai Hankdang. The area of Duksoogung has been reduced and some parts of it belong to American government. It is the right time for the authorities and NGO to get into stride for 'the movement of returning old Chung-dong'.

People living in urban areas are getting more and more interested in their leisure time, as their quality of life is getting improved. Therefore, people looking for parks are increasing. This phenomenon caused a change of the concept of the streets from the emphases in cars to human. Therefore, streets need to have their own characteristics and beauty. In this study, i choose Joong-Dong Road maintenance and improvement Plan in Bu-Cheon to propose a street which is unique.

韓國佛敎文學硏究 : 특히 鄕歌의 佛敎文學的 性格 Specially on the character of Buddhist Iiterature in Silla

It is very important to understand Buddhism in order to comprehend thought-history in the Republic of Korea, and necessity of Study on Buddhism is specially lied in the intention that we are going to investigate the character of literature in content. In the study on Hyang-ga, Buddhism must not be neglected for it is national religion in Silla. Hence, I will scrutinize the character of Buddhism in Silla, and its ultimate purpose that will be going to achieve in the furture is the investigation of Buddhist literature in the whole extent of Korean literature. In Silla Buddhism was First: a native Buddhism that God and Buddha had been mixed up together, and gone native. Thought of Dong-Sa-Seop (is the barrier of mercy in Buddhism that accept all sattva in its level) Having been harmonized with thought of Dong-Sa-Seop, it had been able to go native. While, the consequence of that change grew into cause that had been developed as Prayer-Buddhism. second: a Buddhism that patronize the state and to make people live in peace. In this respect, this religion made ultimatly it an ideal to construct a state by the sacred law of Buddha. "The Sacred law of Buddha" means by his view of politics that Buddha intended to construct an ideal state by the Buddhistic Doctrines. As the people in Silla had had strong will in actural desire, they exerted their utmost efforts to patronize their state and make their people live in peace through construction of state by the sacred laws of Buddha. In result we can see, in their culture, reading of the Buddhist scriptures, building of the temples or the towers, the Buddhist names, and the varies institutions, etc. All these things come mainly from the thought that was said above. third: a Buddhism of thought that turn their state into Buddhist world. The thought that construct a state by the sacred laws of Buddha made spontaneously this thought. In this thought we can see next: the thought that pre-Buddha which lived before Buddha Sakya preached in their land, the thought that silla was closely related the Buddhism originally, the thought that they made Maitreya furture Buddha, come out in this world specially in their land. Maitreya turnedinto Hwa-rang, the party of Hwa-rang was a group that had been made for realization that turn their state into Buddhist world. And, all of the Hwa-rangs was led and educated by the monk Hwa-rang That monk Hwa-rang was a chief and supreme Hwa-rang that had been symbolized as Maitreya. forth: a racial Buddhism Silla Buddhism arranged and fixed by the royal family and the nobility which had believed Maitreya. This Buddhism penetrated into common people by missionary work of the great Buddhist priest, Hye-Sook. Hye-Kong, Tae-An, Saint Won-Hyo. in the period of triple unity. This racial Buddhism formed the basis of triple unity (the thing that silla unifyed three country) Belief of Mita-Jung to (Amita Saint Land, Amita Buddha, or Amitabha) and of kwaneum (the Mercyful Goddess) come from belief penerated into common people. fifth: presoperous study activity on the Buddist Doctrines and sect Buddhism. After Buddhism had been authorized by King Beop-heung, many monks which had gone abroad to study brought the Buddhist Scriptures from old china or India, and those scriptures were interpreted. After triple unity, many sects were derived and Buddhism inelined to cling to Buddhism itself than national problem. Silla owes to Buddhism in its prosperity, while, by the excessive formalization of Buddhism, its strength was weakened. Buddhism was basis in national ideal and their sincerity and passion was great and wonderful. Harmonizing between proper belief and foreign's real and ideal, politics and religion was wisdom and creative spirit of people in Silla.

Cystic Medullary Thyroid Carcinoma: A Case of Undergoing Endoscopic Thyroid Lobectomy

On ultrasonography, medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) shows hypoechogenicity, an irregular margin, a predominantly solid composition, and microcalcifications, similar to those observed in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). MTC presenting as a cystic lesion is rare, and endoscopic thyroidectomy can be performed for benign thyroid masses and early stage PTC, however it is inappropriate for MTC regardless of cystic change. The authors report a case of cystic MTC found after endoscopic thyroid lobectomy and provide a review of the literature on this topic.

This study was to consider from historical records data on the modern physical education of the new-people's republic of China in the early days. There are results. In the beginning establishment of the people's republic of China, the purpose of physical education was on the basis of the thought of Marxism and Mo, Teak Dong. These are characters, as follows. The first, the modern sport of China was transmitted the new sport's methods and rules by the christian missionary group, and then, several students studying abroad extend them, and the former China selected the physical education in school by the new education system. etc The above can divided three route. The second, these sports activities of the China Soviet are prosperous things in a long way. We can know that a sporting event of the new peole's republic of China start from and epoch of revolution. These leaders do have coincide with the military affairs and the sports. Among leaders of a liberated area, Mo Teak Dong, Chu Duk, Chu En Rae etc, take a serious view of physical activities, because they thought that physical activities help to the physical strength and the revolutionary government education. They thought sports, a strong army and a wealthy country etc, equally. The third, we know that the sports development of the new people's republic of China promoted from the influence of the Soviet Union. At that time, the new China had received contents of the Soviet's sports. These are as follows, tell briefly ① The national management system ② The intentional training method of excellent players ③ A factory worker, the organizational management of sport association for factory workers. The new China has received the state amateurism, and then carry out it. These contents were received by Soviet Union's sport contribute to stronged the foundation of the new China. But, because of the one-sided receive, the new China has a lack of a characteristic and diversity of nation's culture. In the sports culture activities of new China, the central role was to school sports and sports associations. The school sports bring up the mass sports, in process of the physical education to emphasize certainly. The purpose of China's education is to nurture necessary men in socialistic construction. Through the organization and the role of sport's Association, we could examined these concrete practical items and results of the political measure on the sport activities of China. After establishment of the people's Republic of China, founded sport's associations are following three items. ① The All China Sports Federation founded in 1949 It was nationwide sports organization. Its main duties and works were to band together these sports enterprise association, to develop the mass sports association, to encourage sports project. Therefore, as the representative group of the China, it was endeavory group to modernize the China with invitation, competence detachment, control capability. ② The State Physical Education and Sports founded in 1952. Its chairman undertaked a cabinet minister. Its first minister was Ha Ryong. He was a person of merit of China revolution, and the vice prime minister of a minster of state. So, we could understand that the China government take a serious view of the sport. Its main duties is to regulate, direct and supervise sport culture enterprise. Besides, It has duties to support and supervise the All China Sports Federation and the China Olympic Committee. ③ The China Olympic Committee was a national organization to construct the China's sports development and Olympic movement promotion and ti promotes and propagates the sport objective of China Olympic and exchanges international Olympic committee. The International Olympic Committee recognized it to legitimate sports group, and then admissed in IOC. The IOC have authorized a power of representation of China, and then the China could participate in the Olympic and the Asian games in officially. The China encourages sports activities with the purpose of success of the anti-Japan revolution struggle. The sports project has the goal of the physical education to reinforcement the health and mental power of the people, strengthen the production growth and the power of national defense. The China also supports the international interchange with view of the struggle of diplomacy politics. Therefore, foundamental factors of the rapid development in china are in propel of the special policy of physical education. Because these political measures have propulsived with the people's own strength, the suffering inauguration of an enterprise, the strenuous exertion mental power. They have pushed ahead with continuance. Also, the sport development of the China was in the thought of actual truth pursuit, in the political philosophy on reconciliation of both extremities, in results of a mission and a subject of the times.

원위 대퇴골의 고립성 골연골종에서 발생한 속발성 연골 육종 1례 보고

연골육종은 비교적 서서히 자라며 늦게 전이하는 악성 연골 종양으로 알려져 있다. 골 연골종에서 발생한 속발성 연골육종은 발생빈도는 드물며 타부위로의 전이가 적고 악성도가 낮은 경우가 많아 적합한 수술적 치료로서 좋은 예후를 보이는 것으로 보고되고 있다. 본 동국대학교 정형외과학 교실에서는 우측 대퇴골 원위부 골간단부에 생긴 고립성 골 연골종에서 이차적으로 발생한 연골육종을 치험한 바 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. A case of Secondary Chondrosarcoma Arising from Solitary Osteochondroma of the Distal Femur Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, College of Medicine, DongGuk University Phil Hyun Chung M.D., Jung Su Hwang M.D., Suk Kang M.D., Yang Mln Kim M.D., Hyung Ho Oh M.D., Dong Ju Chae M.D., Jong Pil Kim M.D. Chondrpsarcoma is a malignant cartilage-forming tumor that grows slowly and metastasis of this tumor occurs in late stage. Secondary chondrosarcomas arising from a solitary osteocartilaginous exostosis are rare and those have a better prognosis than other chondrosarcomas, and they rarely metastasize. We present our experience with a case of secondary chondrpsarcoma arising in solitary osteochondroma of distal metaphysis of right femur with clinical details.

남자 초·중학생의 무산소성 작업능력과 무산소성 파워의 관계

The critical power(CP) is the highest intensity to sustain for a long time without a fatigue. The anaerobic work capacity(AWC) is the highest anaerobic capacity to be provided by anaerobic energy system without the infection of hypoxia. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between AWC and AnP and to verify the validity of AWC. The subjects were consisted of 10 elementary and 10 middle school male students(12.8±1.3yrs, 159.3±12.1㎝, 49.4±11.8㎏). The critical power and anaerobic work capacity were calculated by work-time relationship after four cycle ergometry test to fatigue from 1 to 10 minute. The anaerobic power included Margaria-Kalmen test, Sargent jump and Wingate test. The main finding were as follows. The AWC of elementary and middle school students. were 6.47±2.63KJ and 11.10±3.01KJ. The AWC of elementary students was 58.3% of the middle school students's one. The AnP of elementary students were 47.2∼66.5% of the middle school students's one. And there were high correlation between AWC and AnP(0.64∼0.87, P<0.01). This study showed that AWC is useful index on AnP both elementary and middle school students.
