      • 제주도 토양에서 분리한 가시아메바의 riboprinting에 의한 동정

        목적 : 가시아메바의 국내 분리주를 확보하고 국내 분포하는 가시아메바의 종류를 파악하며 그 분리주들의 병원성을 간접적으로 평가하기 위해 제주도의 토양에서 분리한 가시아메바 분리주를 riboprinting을 이용하여 종 동정을 하고자 한다. 재료 및 방법 : 제주도의 서로 다른 일곱 장소에서 무균 튜브에 흙을 담아와서 agar plate에서 배양한 후 서로 다른 형태적 특징을 보이는 포낭을 cloning하여 무균배양으로 키웠다. 각각의 핵 DNA를 분리하여 small subunit ribosomal RNA coding DNA 중 일부를 증폭하여 나온 PCR 산물을 8가지 제한효소로 소화시켜 그 RFLP양상을 16비교주와 비교한 후 Nei & Li의 공식에 대입한 후 UPGMA program로 유전적 거리를 구하였다. 결과 : 포낭의 형태는 KA/CS8주를 제외한 7주는 모두 Pussard 및 Pons의 분류에 따른 제 2군에 속하였고 KA/CS8주는 제 3군에 속하였다. 가시아메바 KA/CS1주와 KA/CS2주는 동일한 RELP양상을 나타내었으며 이들은 카스텔라니 가시아메바 Castellani주와 가장 유전적으로 가까왔고, KA/CS3주와 KA/CS6주는 A. triangularis SH621주와, KA/CS4주는 대식가시아메바 Jones주와, KA/CS5주는 대식가시아메바 P23주와. KA/CS7주는 카스텔라니 가시아메바 Neff주와 각각 유전적으로 가장 가까왔고, KA/CS8주는 비교주 중 어느 종과도 유전적으로 가깝지 않았다. 결론 : Acanthamoeba KA/CS1, KA/CS2, KA/CS3, KA/CS4, KA/CS6분리주들은 카스텔라니 가시아메바 complex에 속하였고, KA/CS5, KA/CS7분리주들은 대식가시아메바 complex에 속하였다. In order to collect and identify Acanthamoeba Korean strains. Acanthamoeba strains were isolated from soil of Cheju-do and were identified by comparison of the riboprints with the reference strains. Seven out of eight isolates from soil of Cheju-do belonged to the morphological group Ⅱ (Pussard and Pons, 1977) and the other one belonged to group Ⅲ by cyst morphology. The riboprints of seven isolates belonging to group Ⅱ were compared to those of Acanthamoeba reference strains (11 species 16 strains). KA/CS1, KA/CS2, KA/CS3, KA/CS4 and KA/CS6 strains belonged to A. castellanii complex. KA/CS1 and KA/CS2 strains showed identical riboprints to each other and were the most closely related to A. castellanii Castellani strain. KA/CS3 and KA/CS6 strains were the most closely related to A. triangularis SH621 strain, and KA/CS4 strain to A. polyphaga Jones strain. KA/CS5 and KA/CS7 strains belonged to A. polyphaga complex. KA/CS5 strain was the most closely related to A. polyphaga P23 strain and KA/CS7 strain to A. castellanii Neff strain. KA/CS8 strain belonging to group Ⅲ showed more than 20% estimated sequence divergence from the reference strains (5 species) and made a distinct division in a phenogram reconstructed based on the riboprints.

        항암화학요법 관련 오심과 구토 완화를 위한 비약물요법에 관한 연구동향

        Purpose: Purposes of this study were to understand the current trends on complementary therapy in relieving chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting and to suggest the future research direction. Method: Subjects were selected on CINAHL, MEDLINE, Korean Academy Data Base from 1980 to 2001 which used nausea, vomiting, chemotherapy and complementary therapy as key words in experimental studies. Eight korean articles and twenty-one international articles were analyzed in terms of general characteristics, research methods, and types of complementary therapy. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistical methods. Result: Since 2000, researchers have more actively used complementary therapy. In subject characteristics, mean age was 35.5 years old, 45% of the researchers were performed with high level of incidence of chemotherapy induced vomiting, 14% of them set limit of consecutive cycle during research, and 65% of them did not comment the selecting criteria of sample. About 60% of them were designed post-test only control group: 35% used INV by Rhodes, 31% used Likert scale, and 24% used VAS for dependent variable. Muscle relaxation therapy was mostly applied for relief of nausea and vomiting. Conclusion: Further studies will be needed to control extrinsic variables affecting nausea and vomiting in research design and to accumulate evidence with studies applying various complementary therapies.

      • Acetonitrile 용액중에서 살충제 O, O-Dimethyl-O-(3-Methyl-4-Nitrophenyl)-Phosphorothioate (Fenitrothion)의 전기화학적 환원

        계민활성 micelle을 형성하는 acetonitrile 용액에서 O,O-dimethyl-O-(3-methyl-4-nitrophenyl)-phosphorothioat(Fenitrothion)의 전기화학적 환원을 direct current 및 differential pulasepolarography, cyclic voltammetry 그리고 controlled potential coulometry 방법으로 연구하였다. Fenitrothion의 환원 과정은 1단계로 4 전자 이동에 의한 부분 가역적 전자이동 화학반응 (EC, EC)기구로 O,O-dimethyl-O-(3-metbyl-4-hydroxyaminophenyl)-Phosphorothioate를 형성하고, 더 높은 음전위에서 2 전자 이동에 따른 양성자 반응으로 phosphorus 원자와 phenoxy group의 단일 결합이끊어지면서 주생성물인 P-amino-m-cresol과 dimethyl thiophosphinic acid를 생성하였다. Sodiumlauryl sulfate micelle 용액에서 polarography 환원파는 전체적으로 억제 되었으며 특히 1차 환원파는 음이온 micelle의 선택적 작용으로 2단계로 분리되었다. The electrochemical reduction of O,O-dimethyl-O-(3-methyl-4-nitropheny1)-phos-phorothioate(Fenitrothion) has been studied in acetonitrile solution containing surfactant micelleby direct current (DC)-differential pulse (DP) polarography, cyclic voltammetry (CV) and controlled potential coulometry (CPC). The partially reversible clectron transfer-chemical reaction(EC,EC mechanism) of fenitrothion reduction proceeded by four electron transfer to form O.0-dimethyl-O-(3-methyl-4-hydroxyaminophenyl)-phosphorothioate which undergoes sing1e bond of the phosphorus atom and phenoxy group cleaves to give p-amino-m-cresol and dimethyl thiophosphinic acid as major product by two electron transfer-protonation at higher negative potential. The polarograpic reduction waves shown to suppressed due to inhibitory effect of sodium lauryl sulfate micelle solution and split up on selectivity of anionic micelle effect in two step at the first reduction peak.

        The electrochemical reduction of 3-phenyl sydnone derivatives in nonaqueous media(acetonitrille) has been examined by polarography, cyclic voltammetry, controlled potential coulometry Half-wave potentials in two reaction series, 3-phenyl sydnones substituted on the 3-phenyl group in position 4(para) and 3-phenyl sydnone substituted on the sydnone ring in position 4(carbon) were measured, Their values fit to the modified Hammett equation, E_(1/2)=ρ_χRσ_P The electroreduction of the sydnones proceeded by protonation and electron transfer. The cleavage of nitrogen-oxygen bond is observed at near -1.8 volts vs. Ag-AgCl. Substituted phenyl hydrazine and phenyl glycine were a major products.

        The electrochemical reduction of o,o-dimethyl-o-(3-methyl-4-nitrophenyl)-phosphorothioate(fenitrothion)has been studied in acetonitrile solution containing surfactant micelle by direct current(DC)-differential pulse(DP) polarography, cyclic voltammetry(CV) and controlled potential coulometry(CPC). The totally quasiirreversible electron transfer-chemical reaction (EC, EC mechanism) of fenitrothion reduction proceeded by four electron transfer to form o,o-dimethyl-o-(3-methyl-4-hydroxyaminophenyl)-phosphorothiate which undergoes single bond of the phosphorus atom and phenoxy group cleaves to give p-hydorxyamino-m-cresol and dime-thyl thiophosphonate as major product by two electron transfer-protonation. The polarograpic reduction waves shown to be reversible adsorption current (-0.9 volts vs.Ag-AgCl) in sodium lauryl sulfate micelle solution and split up on selectivity of anionic micelle effect in two step at the first reduction peak.

        The electrochemical reaction of chromium (Ⅵ at a static mercury electrode in micelle aqueous solution has been examined by DC polarography, DP polarography and cyclic voltammetry. The polarographic and cyclic voltammetric data shown to be chemical reactively irreversible process of chromium (Ⅵ) electrode reaction. the height of reduction waves and halfwave potentials were shifted to the more negative patential in the NaLS, CTABr solution. When chromium (Ⅵ) ion was reduced in basic solution, the following possible mechanism was portulated. ?? In acidic solution, the reduction of chromium (Ⅵ), dimer proceeds by a six-electron transfer to form chromium (Ⅲ). Therefore the following reduction was suggested. ??

        The purpose of this study is to provide suggestions for the innovation of Korean secondary education. The suggestions were dervied from in - depth study regarding various subjects taught in secondary school, such as Korean language, Mathematics, English, Social Studies and Science. Five kinds of questionnaires were developed and answered by a total of 728 secondary teachers. The teachers were selected nation-wide by stratified cluster sampling method. Major results of this study are as follows : A student-centered teaching model of Korean language focusing on the improvement of creative and critical thinking was developed. Examples of effective teaching method for developing mathematical literacy were presented. Some suggestions for improving English education were proposed ; The curriculum should be established by both the top- down process from the educational administers and the curriculum developers, and the bottom-up process from the teachers : furthermore, the teachers should be allowed to adapt it for their own classes. Each school should be able to choose class- types; for example, small classes with less than 25 students, large classes with around 50 students, class placement by the students' proficiency, or team teaching. Multimedia English classrooms will be needed for more effective whole-class activities, group work, and individual work to overcome the problems with too many students in a class or with students with various proficiency in a class. The testing system should be changed completely, The entrance examinations for higher- level schools or nation-wide written tests should be abolished. Then, each city or district should have a center for testing and developing teaching aids to help teachers by providing listening test items and teaching aids, and administering direct testing for speaking or writing. Teacher qualifying examinations and reeducation programs for teachers should be changed to have better-qualified English teachers for the 21st C. A curricular and instructional model emphasizing the improvement of students' ability to dealing with various social problems was proposed. 5) Various problems and issues in current science education were identified, and detailed suggestions to solve the problems and issues were proposed, which include entrance examinations, teacher education, curriculum development, gifted-student education and educational environment.

        비행청소년의 식생활태도와 식이자기효능감에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to identify the factors associated with dietary attitudes and dietary self-efficacy of juvenile delinquents. Out of 110 questionnaires distributed to the juvenile detention home students in Daegu, and 150 questionnaires distributed to the juvenile detention home students in Anyang, 210 were analyzed (80.7% analysis rate). These data were analyzed by SPSS program. The results are summarized as follows. Almost all parents’ educational levels showed ‘graduation of middle school’, and only 43.8% of the juvenile detention students were living with parents. In case of incoming status, average income per month was 2,000,000 won, which was lower than normal one. Diet attitude score was higher in boy students than girl students (p < 0.05). There was a higher score of diet attitude in higher educational levels of father. The average score of dietary self-efficacy was 2.51 ± 0.86. This value was lower than the normal juvenile. There was a higher diet attitude score in the higher dietary self-efficacy score (p < 0.001). Therefore, proper nutrition education is required to improve their dietary self-efficacy. The results of this study could be useful data to plan and develop nutritional education programs of juvenile delinquents.

      • 수용액에서 연료용 수소를 얻기 위한 MgFe_2O_4 광반도성 전극의 제조와 특성에 대하여

        In the light of the rarity of p-type semiconducting oxides and the unusual properties of the magnesium-iron-oxygen system, it is worthwhile to examine the solied state and photoelectrochemical properties of these materials more closely. This work presented an investigation of the preparation and characterization of magnesium-substituted ironoxid ceramics. Sintered discs of magnesium substituted ironoxides were prepared by conventional powder state mixing techniques. X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy experiments showed that these materials are multiphase, containing both MgFe_2O_4 corundum phase and a spinel phase. More important, photoelectrochemical experiments using the ceramic discs as photoelectrodes showed both cathodic photocurrents and anodic photocurrents under illumination. Photochemical and electrochemcal techniques have been used to show that the inhomogeneities of these materials in the near surface region may be related to the photoelectrochemical properties of the magnesium substituted ironoxide bi-type photoelectrodes.
